Great boat tour as tourists from The Netherlands! Crew was very nice and the boat has "Fans" to make the place feel cooler! Spotted some dolphins and the tour brings you to Norfolk fighter ships! Really cool!

We’re celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary so we decided to go on the Hampton roads Harbor tour. It was great we had a nice time. The crew was very accommodated friendly and knowledge of the area. If you’re in the area, take a moment to take, the tour is worth it.

Wonderful tour of the harbor. The captain did a nice job narrating the tour outbound, pointing out all the interesting buildings and structures as well as the navy ships (which is my personal favorite part). We were lucky to have seen two submarines, two aircraft carriers, a destroyer and many other ships in port. There was plenty of room to spread out on this beautiful ship and it was a great day to be outdoors. My only complaint is that when you book on their website, the "trip insurance" button is automatically checked so we ended up paying more than we should have paid because we didn't catch it. Parking tip: The parking garage is at the end of Eaton St (straight across). There is a sign that says "Hotel Parking Only" but this is where you park. Bring your ticket with you and they will give you a voucher to pay for parking.

Hubby and I had the pleasure of joining the Hampton Roads Harbor Tours crew on Saturday for the Sunset cruise. Coming from Florida, the pressure was on to find the perfect sunset for us to enjoy. Captain Joe, Adam and Kim did not disappoint and were a delight to sail with. We had a most enjoyable evening and would definitely recommend this tour for all.

Went on the sunset harbor tour for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was an amazing experience! Very nice boat crew, the bartender gave us water and a diet coke for free! Saw some negative reviews about heat which had me worried so I brought a handheld fan. I didn’t even need it because they had many fans inside, and once you could go down to the front of the boat, it felt amazing. It’s been 100° this week so obviously it’s going to be hot outside! We did see a few dolphin fins in the distance which was cool! Also I loved the playlist it was perfect I meant to ask for it lol. Some little constructive criticisms I have: I wish it was a little longer with a little more detail. Some more history would have been cool to hear! Otherwise, I loved it and it was a great way to spend a birthday night.

Went on 4th of July cruise. We sat outside at the front of the boat. Awesome view. Boat inside is hot…. Bar should be downstairs and not upstairs for us handicapped people.

The sunset cruise made a wonderful birthday surprise for my mom. The crew members are all kind and helpful, and the tour is a really pleasant way to spend a couple hours. We enjoyed seeing dolphins and pelicans, and it was interesting to see familiar sights from a new perspective. Seeing the downtown buildings, Hampton University, the HRBT, the Chamberlin, Old Point Comfort Light from the water is unforgettable. It was also great to see Fort Wool up close. And the sunset! The cruise was timed perfectly to return just as the sun went down, and it was absolutely beautiful. When we have guests from out of town this tour will be on our list - and it would make a great annual birthday tradition too!

What a great experience! Went midweek, beautiful weather and no crowds! Nice little 2 hour tour of the Hampton harbor, down to Norfolk Naval Station. Jeff, the captain, was both entertaining and informational during the entire trip. He communicated clearly during the entire process. The crew were pleasant to interact with and made some expensive, but good drinks! Would highly recommend if you’re in the Hampton roads area and want to get away for a couple hours and enjoy the water!

Yelp
A fantastic tour. We arrived early for the tour and Rachel checked us in. We had a short wait before the captain said we could board. Rachel made us feel comfortable. We talked with her while we waited for others to check in. Captain Charlie let us board on time. No surprises or delays. Bev and I used the walkers to get down the ramp. Captain Charlie with the whole crew greeted every passenger at the bottom of the ramp. They helped us over the step onto the tour boat. Adam assisted the captain in getting us on our way. He wore his life vest as he was out front on the boat. We were indoors. Bev and I sat down on a table right in the front. Most passengers went upstairs to the next level. We did not think we could manage so many steps so we sat in the room we came in. Hudson also assisted throughout the event. He answered many questions we had about the trip. Captain Charlie's voice came over the speakers and shared many facts about the area. We were looking left right and front. Captain Charlie is so friendly and naturally funny. Bev and I enjoyed his commentary. Bev had questions about specific things as she lived in this area for 23 years. Hudson answered all of them. He is very knowledgeable about the area. Adam took our order for drinks so we did not have to go upstairs to the bar. He kindly brought them to us. We also asked for snacks. Cookies and chips to go with our drinks. I gave him my credit card and he returned with everything. Adam checked on us often. He is so friendly, kind and has a great sense of humor. Bev and Adam would banter back and forth. Both have a quick wit. We were taking everything in. It was such a beautiful sunny day with a slight breeze coming across the Chesapeake Bay. On the way back to the dock we saw so many dolphins. They were swimming and jumping out of the water. So beautiful and exciting. I'm sure the joy in my heart was seen through the smile in my eyes. Once we docked Rachel was right there to welcome us home. Time flew by so fast with so much to see. Rachel was joined by Captain Charlie, Adam and Hudson to see us safely to shore. We loved this trip don't just take our word come check it out for yourself. Thank you Willie n Bev.

Yelp
The boat was clean and comfortable and the commentary was interesting. Several years ago I purchased the Hampton Sea to Stars combination ticket. We were saving, the cruise, the best for last. The first Miss Hampton operator retired, so there was a three-year delay from when I purchased to when we could do the cruise. We appreciated the new owners who were gracious and honored our Sea to Stars Combination ticket. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a very hot day. The staff recommended that we would probably be the most comfortable at the bow of the boat where there was a cool spray and a nice breeze.

Yelp
Just got done taking this tour and had a GREAT time. They mentioned a lot of their business comes from word-of-mouth so I'm making sure to put it out there...put this on your to-do list. Quiet, relaxed and we even had Dolphins that came along side the boat and made their presence known. Tour speaker was very knowledgeable and other employees were so friendly. There is a walking tour of Fort Wool that was unique. Just being on board with the nice breeze was a relaxing way to spend an afternoon. Right next to the Virginia Air and Space Museum.

Yelp
Harbor cruises Ms. Hampton II is located in Hampton Virginia the closest navy base tour to Williamsburg. Once aboard a very clean ship you will be able to see famous attractions, breathtaking views, and professional narrators will guide your tour. It is an informative and entertaining harbor cruise. The tour guides bring to light the legend, lore and history behind the worlds largest natural harbor. You'll enter the magnificent Chesapeake Bay. Warships at the Norfolk Naval base highlight the Harbor tour with an in-depth narrative of each and every ship. The tour guide knew every ship that was docked in The harbor that day at the Naval base and gave a complete history of that ship. The ships were amazing to say the least. When you are that's close to them it is truly incredible to see the size of each ship. We were also given a lesson in the type of ship that it was and what it was used for by the Navy. It was a beautiful day and quite sunny on the water. I highly recommend this cruise on a beautiful sunny day.

Yelp
Great cruise! The ship is clean and steady. Our captain turned around so everyone could see the dolphins passing. Jim, the guide is very knowledgeable and had great stories about everything along our route. We rode past the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and Jim knew every ship in port. We didn't eat, but the drinks and food were reasonably priced. This tour is a great value.

Yelp
Not very family friendly unless your older than 6! The wife and I recently took this trip as it is the only boat tour in the area that stops at Fort Wool. We arrived here early enough to get what we thought would be great seats on the boat but since we had a one-year-old that was being back-carried, we were told we could only go to the bottom of the boat.Huh? What happens of the bottom of the boat is at capacity? I can only assume that the Miss Hampton doesn't have enough money to afford to upgrade the upper portion of their boat to allow people of all ages. So we proceeded to the back of the boat and unfortunately were met there by a family reunion on the bottom deck hooting and hollering. The speakers on board the boat are not good at all but, I can't attest to what they sound like on the top of the boat because my family wasn't allowed up there!... If your hard of hearing, this trip might not be for you as you wont be able to hear much over the loud conversations and engine noise on the bottom of the boat. What little bit of historical information we could hear was very interesting learning about Blackbeards Point and the Hampton Roads area itself in terms of shipping. The Captain seemed pretty knowledgeable about different ships that were also docked at Naval Station Norfolk. And then we were off to Fort Wool the highlight of the tour! But it wasn't every thing I expected it to be. After hearing that it was just a park owned by the city of Hampton I could only imagine what lie in wait like the other unkept parks of Hampton. After stepping off the boat I was shocked to see how much of a disaster the civil war fort was in although it looks like workers have tried but gave up short of mowing the grass. The captain gave us pretty good brief summary of the fort and that was that. Nothing I would care to see again unless it was better taken care of. **Overall, The trip felt very unwelcoming, after I was told I couldn't go to the upper deck because I had an infant 1 yr old, making this boat seem not very kid friendly. I wasn't able to eat any food while on board the boat as there is a $10 minimum to use a card. So I'd advise you to save your money and grab food after the boat or bring your cash.

Yelp
The tour of Hampton Roads harbor including floating by The Chamberlin Hotel , Fort Wool , Naval Base Norfolk and then back to Hampton dock. You DO NOT DEPART THE BOAT onto Fort Wool as advertised. The speil can be a bit chatty at times. Good way to spend a few hours on the water.

Yelp
Best boat tour I've EVER been on .... the narrator was funny and informative.... the tour was very interesting.... just wish we could have actually gone on Fort Wool!

Yelp
Interesting harbor tour with plenty of history, facts, and sights pointed out along the way. The island stop at the old fort was a nice touch. I have nothing to compare it to, but it was a solid 3 hour use of time if you're visiting the area. By the way, my kids (7 and 9) spent half of their time on the upper deck, so maybe it's situational.

Yelp
Money well spent for tourists. Tour guide very knowledgable of the history of the area and the naval ships in the port. All the staff is very courteous. Boat ride is comfortable but board early for shaded seats on the top deck.

Yelp
Had a great cruise today even with overcast skies. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and presented the highlights in a very interesting and entertaining manner. Also included a tour of Fort Wool. Well worth the money. We'll take this cruise again next year when we're back in Hampton.

Yelp
I highly recommend taking the 3 hour tour of the Hampton Roads/ Norfolk harbor on the Miss Hampton II. Our guide was funny as well as very interesting. We went right by all the navy ships and submarines in the navy yard and he told us all about them-kind of mind boggling all the military might in one place. Then we toured Fort Wool Island, and learned all about the harbor and forts roles in the revolutionary war and the civil war, so it's great for history buffs too. Nice long ride, good snacks and drinks, lots of seats and a good view from everywhere.

Yelp
Wonderful time on the water with a narrative tour of the sights n history of Hampton Roads. Friendly professional crew that makes a stop at Fort Wool. There you are met for another narrative tour of this man made island. I recommend this tour for those in n visiting the area.

Yelp
I took the tour Thursday. Very friendly crew. The stop at Fort Wool was great. A nice tour of the vessels at the Norfolk base. I'd consider going again if I'm ever in the area.

Yelp
Started off waiting to buy tickets in a long line that moved very slowly. Once we got on the boat we were told kids were not allowed on the top deck. Kid's life jackets are stored on the top deck which I thought made no sense. Sitting on the bottom of the boat you can barely hear the intercom so you miss a lot of the info they announce. My kids really liked the grill cheese sandwiches they sold and the boat was clean and had lots of tables and seating. My husband stood at the front the boat so he could hear the intercom better but had to leave often since the woman who sold us tickets was out there smoking cigarettes which blew thru the rest of the bottom of the boat. The stop at the old fort was canceled mid trip which was disappointing. It was neat to see the air craft carriers up close as well as large container ships. It's a nice time on the water but I hope they find a way to make ticket purchases quicker, would not allow smoking on the boat, and stored kid's life jackets on the bottom deck.
