Hampton Street Vineyard

Today could not have been more perfect. My husband and I had reservations for our Thanksgiving date at The Hampton Street Vineyard for their Thanksgiving dinner. The entire experience was truly beautiful. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by pleasant, professional staff who set the tone for an exceptional evening. The host who seated us was especially welcoming. Her presence and demeanor were outstanding, and I genuinely hope she is the head host, as she would be an excellent trainer. She is truly an asset to the business. Our server was equally wonderful, approachable, kind, conversational, and attentive in all the right ways. Although this was our first visit, we felt as if we had been regulars for years. We also appreciated being seated in the wine room, which offered a more intimate atmosphere and made the experience even more memorable. The three-course meal was unforgettable. Although we don’t eat meat, every dish was incredibly flavorful and satisfying. My indulgence was the Merlot paired with: 1st Course Sherry Roasted Beets smoked almonds, citrus, crispy sprout leaves, crème fraîche 2nd Course Citrus-Brined Slow-Roasted “Turkey” Plate andouille cornbread stuffing, braised collards, jalapeño-orange cranberry sauce, roasted shallot gravy (We skipped the turkey, but the sides were exceptional.) 3rd Course Sweet Potato Bread Pudding charred marshmallow, toffee sauce, candied pecans I am absolutely requesting the recipes for the collards, stuffing, beets and Sweet Potato Bread Pudding! Haha. Each one was outstanding. Well done to the entire establishment. We will definitely be returning…and of course, parking is plentiful on a holiday! A wonderful and seamless experience in every way. Happy Thanksgiving!

Visited HSV for the first time during restaurant week, and based on this visit, I won’t be going back. I started with a glass of the One Stone Cabernet, which although nice, probably wasn’t even a 4 oz pour. I decided to order from the RW menu and started with the Garlic Shrimp. The shrimp came served in a vast pool of oil, atop a very hard baguette. There was so much oil that the server almost spilled it setting it down. Just unnecessary. The dish was accompanied by a sharp knife, but even with it, it was still very hard to cut the baguette. For my entree, I went with the beef short ribs and veggies. The ribs were very tender, but the serving size was very small. Both the brussels sprouts and carrots were under cooked, and under seasoned. Dessert was Sticky Toffee Pudding. RAW Sticky Toffee Pudding. The server came by and asked about it, because she noticed it “just didn’t look right”, and indicated she thought it looked raw when it came out of the kitchen. Yet it wasn’t a runner who served it to me, it was our actual server. She offered to get me another dessert (which was of course included in my 3 course meal), but made no other attempts at customer retention. Nor did a manager stop by to apologize, which I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Portion sizes were definitely not big enough to justify the price. So even though I had heard good things about HSV, my experience was far from good. I will not be returning, nor can I recommend a visit here.

Had a post Christmas branch with family. This place did not disappoint 👏 🙌 I believe our server, Ann?? Was the absolute best! We leaned on her for recommendations on drinks 🍸 and food 😋 she was on point! We had the best of times, and I highly recommend this place if you are anywhere near Colombia, SC. GREAT JOB ALL AROUND!!!!

First time trying this place, and it was absolutely AMAZING! We visited for Restaurant Week, and the menu was beautifully crafted. Mrs. Ann provided exceptional, professional service, and the atmosphere felt intimate and inviting—even with how busy it was. We’ll definitely be back and can’t wait to share this spot with more friends!

Tonight for Valentine’s Day we decided to try a place we’ve never been. We have lived in Columbia our entire lives and I have worked in the service industry for 20 years. I am truly not one to ever complain or write a review. I wish I could say we loved it and had a great experience but that just was NOT the case. The menu was over priced and underwhelming. I had a salad for my first course which was mainly just lettuce. My second course was pasta, which I honestly thought was a safe choice. It came out looking green like vomit, it was a very small portion, and it was so spicy my mouth was on fire. I got up to go tell the manager, who I was told by a hostess, would come to the table. Never saw one. They were not even busy. We arrived at 5:30 for our reservation. Our server seemed extremely inexperienced and unfriendly. My husband got the rabbit. It was basically the size of a chicken thigh on a pile of, what looked like slop. Our meal was so horrible and no one that worked there seemed to care. We denied ordering our third course or dessert because we were starving and just wanted to leave. $40 was taken off of our tab and we were still stuck with a $200 check!! For literally nothing. We would have had way more food and excellent service, for the exact same price, if we had just gone to Halls. We walked to a different restaurant on main to eat a second meal which was excellent and was a fraction of the price. All of this to say, we will NEVER be back to Hampton Street Vineyard and I truly cannot believe that a manager never touched our table. For the money that people are spending here the service and the food should be outstanding.

We had a wonderful experience! The service was excellent, food was so good! We had the steak and it was cooked perfectly and flavorful! We went for my birthday and didn’t stay for dessert but they boxed one up and even taped a candle on the top! So cute! We’d definitely go back.

Ive lived in Columbia for YEARS and I’m embarrassed to say that this is our first time here and it was amazing!! Cocktails. Starters. Entrées. And DESSERTS!!! Thank you Alex for the wonderful service! And also the lovely lady’s upfront. Thank you. Definitely coming back with the fam!!

My sister and I went to a very late dinner here on a Wednesday night. We had tried another restaurant before coming to Hampton Street Vineyard, but it was crowded, loud, and unfriendly. We decided to try the Vineyard and arrived approximately 40 minutes before closing. The restaurant was cozy and the staff was welcoming. Damien,our server, was friendly, knowledgeable about each of the dishes, and patient with us while we decided what we wanted to order. He made a few recommendations when we asked, and we ordered two of the entrees he recommended. The food was sublime! It was unique, fresh and expertly prepared and we left nothing on our plates. Despite being full after our phenomenal dinner, we had to share one of their desserts. It did not disappoint! I highly recommend this restaurant.

A lovely french restaurant. The service was great and our server was super helpful. My favorite was probably the mussels and the gnocchi. I personally would save room for dessert as it isn't to write home about.

After not seeing family for over two years, we were hoping to have a leisurely and pleasurable dining experience here. The restaurant was empty when we walked in. I had made reservations days before. The host led us to a table in a corner away from the windows. My view was the kitchen and no it was not an "open" kitchen concept. None of the servers knew anything about the menu. Example - "Are the shrimp local?" - response: "I don't know." Our primary server seemed uncomfortable with her role. She was quiet, stern faced and not particularly friendly. The menu really didn't serve its purpose as information on prep or technique was glaringly missing. Along with drinks, we started our culinary evening by ordering an appetizer of escargot - with cremini mushrooms, garlic and butter. The dish was unremarkable and none of the diners were eager to finish the serving as small as it was. We were enjoying our conversation and having a good time. In the meantime our server kept hovering as if to pressure us to order our entrees. Much to her chagrin, we decided to order a couple more starters - French onion soup and shrimp cocktail. As we finished with our requests the server left and then came back almost immediately. She proceeded to tell us " the chef doesn't like it when he gets requests for dishes at different times. So if you want more appetizers you need to order them." Seriously, WHAT? Are you kidding? At this point I was mortified and apologized to my dining partners. I've never been asked to do this in a restaurant. The unusually small overcooked shrimp arrived luke warm with a mayo based sauce. It was a pathetic version of the classic. The whole point of this dish is to have well chilled extra large or jumbo sized shrimp that deliver a snap when you take a bite. This delivered nothing but regret. The soup was OK. The menu was ho hum, so after hearing that prime rib was one of the specials for the evening, everyone at the table decided that beef was the choice for dinner. The first diner ordered and requested medium rare. The server responded "it will have to be closer to medium medium well. Excuse me? This was the beginning of dinner service, and those were our only choices? Obviously, someone in the kitchen screwed up. What an unfortunate error to make with such a treasured cut of meat. The one star was issued to the kitchen for splitting one of the meals for us as the serving size was so big. Unfortunately when our plates arrived, they didn't look pretty. No effort or finesses was put into the presentation. It looked like something that came off a buffet. To add insult to injury, the prime rib was dry, the mashed potatoes blah and the broccolini tasteless. Nothing on these plates was prepared with care or love. This was the antithesis of a French dining experience. And no, we will never return.

Came here for the second time because our first time a few months ago was promising but with a few misses. After today we will not be returning. On our first visit they were out of their house made Bloody Mary mix. This time I got it; it had decent flavor but absolutely no zing. I like mine a little spicy so that may just be me. It was bland in my opinion. Also it came with just ONE of the smallest olives I have ever seen along with a tiny wedge of lemon. I asked our waiter for some more olives and he graciously brought more. You may be able to see how tiny they were in the picture and I don't have large hands. My wife ordered the burger medium and got a well done piece of meat that was very dry. Not only that, it was tiny and did not even fill the bun. Finally, I ordered the seafood Benedict, which was supposed to be served with shredded pan fried salmon. Well there was barely any salmon to be had. There were tiny bits of salmon that looked like leftover scrapings from the pan. The hollandaise sauce had no flavor. The eggs were a tad overcooked. They were nice enough to comp us the burger but I would really rather pay for my food and have it be good.

Came here for brunch and sat outside, the outside area is so cute and the service was very nice! The food was also very good, highly recommend going for brunch and sharing a mimosa flight with friends. I have no complaints asides from some of the prices being a bit high for what the food is.

Service is the worst. Had reservations for a group last Sunday morning. They did not take the food orders for over an hour. Food took forever to prepare. Most of the meals were burned or mediocre. No bread with the meals. The charcuterie boards were pathetic, which is a change from last year when they were good. We will not return.

This place is the cutest little French bistro. The food is all great. I went for lunch and the French onion soup was outstanding. The service was attentive without being overwhelming which I love.

Wow, oh wow did I have a fabulous lunch at Hampton St., Vineyard. I ordered the steak fruits, also known as steak and fries. I ordered the meat rare but when it came out, it was cooked well done I expected this because no restaurant properly does rare so I was not upset. I did not bring it up to the staff, but the waitress noticed that it was undercooked and gave me a full steak to go. Unbelievable! What fabulous service they were very attentive and it was a wonderful environment. Would definitely recommend everyone go back. Prices seemed appropriate.

This is one of Columbia's best brunch spot over the years. The menu changes but those beloved potatoes I was looking today for no craving we're not the same. Hopefully this was something that could not be controlled as those crispy potatoes were the best in the city. Now that I've gotten that off my chest ! Today's French onion soup was the best I've ever tasted. The pumpkin soup was unique and tasty a dish I've only had a few times. (Hampton Street is in my top 5 Brunch spots. )

My wife and I enjoyed a fine lunch here thanks to the uniquely delicious food, the pleasant ambiance and the excellent service from our elegant and professional waitperson, Renee.

My very first visit to Hampton Street Vineyard. Finally seated 20+ minutes after reservation time but only after some prodding (tired of standing at an ill-equipped bar). While standing, found the bar was out of a lot of liquor and had only IPA beer. I drank water. Fixed price Thanksgiving dinner (Rib Roast, Turkey or vegie something). From bar preparations they must not have expected customers to drink. Soup or salad to start The French onion soup was good if you had never had good onion soup and were hungry. Salad was meager, but OK. Entrees- One had rib roast with no query by the waiter about roasting preference (I guess he was too busy taking everyone's complete order at once). When it finally arrived, It came grossly overdone--way, way beyond well. A $10 add--electricity costs!. Maybe they used the extra time to make sure it was dead! I would have refused (and been very insulted) but co-diner was being kind. I think he felt sorry for the waiter who was obviously busy because he was never there, I guess. It was the end piece which is only for folks (1%) with that special taste. Mine was the other non-veggie alternative--turkey. Slices from a roll with a touch of something which, I think, was supposed to be gravy. Stuffing barely warm; vegetables (mixed or just anything they happened to have--hard to tell) but they were only remnants and were a mess and were heated--all together. Needless to say, all served on cold plates (surprised?). Mashed potatoes were just great. They were so tasteless and perfect-- they were just as if they had come from one of those boxes where no lumps are guaranteed because of great factory processing. Almost as good as the Army. Deserts were moderate quality and were as good as restaurants can buy cheap from mediocre suppliers. No effort needed except to plate. Maybe even pre-sliced. The one locally made pudding was almost as good as the desserts that were pre-made and pre-packaged, almost. Service: This was a THREE course meal with very few choices (and "community" sides). Reservations were required and it took two hours forty-five minutes to get fed. The only thing that arrived in a timely manner was the check. Not uncommon to see your waiter every 15-20 minutes and he is the guy who had the gonads to bring out an overcooked end piece of a rib roast and manage not to show shame--my guess it was a bet to pass this one off with the customer saying nothing--just being glad to get fed. I'll give the waiter credit--he managed to do it with a straight face and say nothing. You were good and I suspect you would be really talented at door-to-door sales! The BIG question is: "Did they do anything right?" Yes they did. Our waiter was slick enough that he pulled off the super-overdone roast service and did not laugh and kept a straight face. He took long absences between visits and acted as if refilling a water glass was an effort to provide good service (with a mild apology at having failed to do so for the previous 45 minutes). Finally, I am tired of writing this but apparently Columbians and their country kin will accept this kind of food, service and endure tests looking for for their breaking points. You exceeded mine by a long stretch but I did not select you and you can rest assured that this is the last time you will ever have the chance to test me. So glad I was not the host. I do not enjoy being insulted with horrible service, awful management, mediocre food, and inadequate available libations. So, my first and obviously last appearance. But you get two stars because your tap water, when you got around to giving me some, did not taste bad (perhaps because any ice was omitted). Ah hell, had to go to one.

Amazing service and food! I was there for a birthday dinner. I had an amazing drink at the bar while waiting on my party. Our waiter Damien was attentive and did a great job handling our party of 8.

I'll title this review "all's well that ends well"! To say the least, our dinner group of six had an interesting and memorable time at the Vineyard. We were greeted at the door and escorted to our table. Since it was Monday evening we almost had the place to ourselves. While a good French dinner was a high expectation we also intended to raise a glass to a birthday girl in our group. After our last couple arrived, our server, Todd introduced himself and inquired about drinks. We spent quite a bit of time checking out the extensive wine list. We settled on a 2022 montepulciano from Riverland Australia. A very nice wine with an absolutely frightening label. We also couldn't resist trying a cocktail called the honey trap. It was fairly heavy on anise flavor. An interesting drink, but would not order it again. As an accompaniment to our wine, we order the cheeseboard. It featured about three or four different cheeses, bread, and pickles. It was a decent sharable, but average as cheeseboards go. For our appetizers, we tried two apple salads, a mixed green one with fried goat cheese, two orders of French onion soup and a watermelon gazpacho! I didn't sample the soup, but it was well received, as were our salads. I did these the gazpacho. It was tasty but a a little bland, and I would not have added fresh tomatoes as a garnish. For our entrées we had three orders of Coq au rosé, a Steak Frites, one seafood paella, and one ratatouille with fries on the side. My paella was better than what I had in Barcelona. The rice in the middle was set off by quite a few mussels around the perimeter. I've never made paella, but maybe some additional seafood like a few shrimp would've been welcomed. The coq au Rosé looked inviting (it was my oversight that I did not ask my wife for a taste, though I did experience it in another way!... See below, ) and it got a thumbs up, as did the steak frites and the ratatouille. We recommend the Hampton Street Vineyard for its extensive wine selection, interesting dishes (Farm to table French with some familiar dishes, such as French onion soup and coq au vin, but with enough flexibility to offer some other cuisines.). You won't get the warmest welcome you've ever experienced, or the best service, but its a cozy, beneath the street dining spot, well worth checking out. Note: we had one little incident which explains the title to this review. As the bus boy was clearing off the entrée dishes, and walking behind me, he apparently tipped his tray and gave me and my friend to my left a bath of coq au rosé broth. My shirt took the brunt of it all. Many apologies from the staff and managing partner followed, an assurance that any dry cleaning bills would be covered, and two complementary deserts, "for our trouble" they explained. So far so good. However, when I happened to look at the bill later that night, we were charged for the comped deserts! But, as the title indicates, it all turned out well. Once I told the manager via email about the bill, he promptly credit our account.

I was in the mood for a great Ribeye steak, and wanted to try something besides my favorite place. I've had good food here before, and when I saw Steak Frites on their menu I thought I would give it a try. I will also admit that I ordered the Escargot appetizer. First the Escargot. In case you don't know, they are fancy french snails. Oh, my goodness they were decadent and delicious. Swimming in an illegal amount of butter, I'm a little saddened that they forgot to bring me bread. I did ACTUALLY ask for bread, for once, but alas it never came. One thing I do appreciate, is that bread is served upon request, so they aren't wasting food on serving bread to people who aren't going to eat it. Now, another nice thing about these Escargot was that they were served without the shell. They were placed delicately on top of a perfectly sized mushroom cap with crispy bread crumbs in a garlic butter and herb sauce. Now, these Escargot were cooked perfectly, they tender and flavorful, not chewy at all. Their earthy flavor paired perfectly with their mushroom besties. So, take my advise and definitely try these out. I think they are about $14, they are definitely worth it for something that you just don't see very often on a menu - anywhere, but especially in Columbia, SC. Now, on the Steak Frites. I like my Ribeye medium. I want the center to be a nice dark red without being raw. I find that medium gives me a tender texture that is a pleasure for me to chew. The red wine sauce was nice, flavorful and it was made even better when topped with some fresh cracked pepper. The Frites were twice fried , lightly breaded french-fries that had great crunch. It even came with a small salad of arugula very lightly dressed with a light vinaigrette that perfectly cut the fat of the well marbled Ribeye. I'm definitely rating this Ribeye as far superior to Hall's Chophouse and Ruth Chris, and it's actually pretty affordable. I think the plate was somewhere around $38 and you got sides! It was also a very decent portion, I ended up taking some of my steak home with me to eat for lunch the next day. Well, so I gave this meal 4/5 because well, they did forget my bread and I had planned to soak up some of that yummy butter sauce. I'm finishing this review off and will edit it on my phone so I can upload some pictures of my delicious meal.

The food here was fantastic!!! But do not get the bouillabaisse. There was not enough seafood I it for it to be worth the price. The roasted half chicken and the escargot were both amazing!! I loved them both!!

This restaurant does not have a parking lot, but there is a parking garage and street parking nearby. The decor is very pleasant, relaxing, and modern. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we arrived for our reservation. We was quickly shown to our table and our waiter was very courtesy and professional. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. There is plenty of spacing between tables and it appears that the restaurant was enforcing customer spacing. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouthwatering starters and main courses that will appeal to everyone. My spouse and I truly enjoyed everything we ordered from the menu, from their drinks, appetizers, and main entrees. Their portions are plentiful and everything tasted amazing. Excellent dining experience and I'm sure that we will be back in near future!!!

This place is amazing! You have to take a moment to try it and explore the incredible French cuisine here at the Hampton Street Vineyard. There is a new chef in town and they know how to flavor things absolutely perfecto! The staff is new to me as well and the customer service was through the roof! I will be recommending to all my friends. Of course we will be back...

After moving to Columbia from the Seattle food scene, we've been looking for good places with excellent food and atmosphere. We've found some places we've enjoyed like Private Property, Motor Supply Co., and Saluda's. Last night we have the joy of eating at Hampton St Vinyard and it may have taken place as our favorite Columbia restaurant so far. Food was amazing and location/atmosphere was like something we would find in the Seattle area. The only thing would be rethinking using the abbreviation of the name on everything (working in healthcare, we might have laughed at it). Definitely a win and we'll be back again very soon!

Upscale French restaurant! I've enjoyed brunch here several times! Jonathan is the friendly & helpful owner of HSV. The food is superb! I've had their ratatouille, the cold soup which was actually very good! I've ordered so many entrees, etc I can only say they were always yummy but very unique to HSV! The cocktails are delightful and unique also! Staff are excellent! Always available to assist! All of them are friendly!! Ambience is upscale & quaint! I highly recommend! Oh! And their wine list is so varied! Wines from all over the world!!! First class restaurant!!

Food was fine but the service was absolutely AWFUL!!!! We waited almost an hour to place our order and another hour to get our food. For a nice restaurant we were incredibly disappointed.

***I was not expecting to come in to have an enjoyable lunch, and have one of the waitstaff RUDELY address me in a condescending manner. I had no idea there was a prie fix menu for Thanksgiving. The least he could do was explain that it came with mash, stuffing, vegetables, and cranberry. None of that, which was the reason why I confuse about the 55$. I mean when you tell me a two course menu, I expect just that. Two courses. I was asking is the turkey going to be a slice of breast? Two? Are y'all making it in the shape of a small bird? (Clueless shrug). I mean nothing. He was so rude, did not bother introducing himself either. I wanted to ask his name, but the conversation was off putting. I have only been served rudely twice in all my dining experience. This was the second time. I am at the restaurant writing this review as I pay my bill. I can hear him explaining the menu to the next table after me in full details. What the actual HELL? This was no where near the treatment I received with a happy cheerful voice. He was even nice to the table next to me before they left. After your waiter took my order, I stepped to the front and asked the manager if I can talk to him outside. I told him that I felt Todd's behaviour was extremely condescending and demeaning to me, and requested a table change or a new table host. Mari took over, she was wonderful! But the experience left me a bit taken back. I couldn't even enjoy my lunch and had to take it to go. I certainly hope no one else has to go through this experience. Yes I still gave them five star because his colleagues were much better in service, food presentation, and quality.

Steak frites were amazing and the crème brûlée was just perfect! Definitely recommend. Our waiter was so friendly and down to earth. The ambiance was perfect for date night with my husband.

We have been here before and it was cute. We had a reservation tonight for 8:30pm. They "checked us in" and we waited over a half hour to be seated. We were not served our entrees until close to 10:30pm. Our waitress was doing her best but...nobody offered us a complimentary glass of wine or anything for this ridiculous wait. We did ask for a glass for the table and they brought it out. The food was good. Not great and definitely not worth a 2 hour wait. We will not be back as this place is very poorly run. We watched a few people walk out. We probably should have done the same.

28 days later we were back for another perfect meal. 5/15/21 Saturday and we were fortunate to get Maddie as our server again. They were SLAMMED but I think it was a perfect night for outside dinning with around 76 degree temps. We again ordered the mussels and they did not disappoint. Seriously the biggest mussels I have ever had were served at HSV, both times. Excellent martini and wine. I opted for the 12 oz ribeye special, cooked a perfect medium. The wife's Steak Au poivere was perfect medium rare. I suspect Maddie made it happen for us though. They were so backed up, after an hour she came to the table and apologized for the wait, telling us the kitchen orders all came at once right when we got there. I noticed that a few tables that were there before us still hadn't gotten their appetizer or meals respectively, and shortly after Maddie apologized our meal came out.....before the other tables that were seated before us. Excellent server. The manager helped in clearing the dirty dishes and asked how everything was etc. Our definite new favorite.

Traditional French - food is excellent. Nice wine selection. Small bar area, nice ambience. Outdoor seating. Good service. Can get a bit noisy but that's more due to the energy of the clientele than the place itself. Great meal for half of what you'd pay down the street.

Came here for my grad weekend - fantastic service, the cheese board was delicious and they had a sommelier recommend us a wine to pair with our main course. The short rib and seafood orzo special were fantastic, as was the steak frites. Mari was an amazing server and made our experience as perfect as possible to celebrate!

Found a gem after living in Columbia for five months. My friend and I were looking for a restaurant for brunch on a Saturday that wasn't packed or with some ridiculous wait time and we stumbled upon Hampton Street Vineyard! They opened at 11, so timing was just perfect for us! It's easily accessible, but it's street parking, so with all the events going on in Columbia, good luck with finding a spot. There is a parking lot you can pay for a block down, so I always just went with that. The restaurant looks small from the outside, but when you walk in, you're welcomed warmly by professionals and a room full of amazing decor. I've only gone here for brunch because I'm a fan of their steak & eggs accompanied by their mimosa. Every dining experience I've had here along with the guests I've brought yielded nothing but positive emotions. Looking for a brunch location? I definitely recommend this establishment!

Brunch at HSV is the best! Just had a mimosa flight and charcuterie board with Jamaria, better know as Beaux, and really can't begin to explain how welcome, insightful, and all together wonderful my experience was. What started as a just a normal Sunday brunch turned in delicious food, splendid drink and even more enjoyable conversation. 10/10 will come here again and again. Beaux is a whole vibe!

Charming neighborhood restaurant with the most amazing Ratatouille! Great wine bar. Adorable outdoor dining makes you feel you are some where else... Lovely.

We chose this gem from the amazing reviews and photos I saw online. We were looking light bites for Easter brunch and they did not disappoint! This amazing restaurant is located off of Hampton st with a breathtaking curb appeal! This was the perfect Easter brunch setting! The flowers were beautiful and fragrant! Between the breeze and the beautiful blooming flowers around me I was totally in my element! The staff was welcoming and a pleasure! From the Hostess to the chef they offered the complete experience. Everyone was attentive and very accommodating! We chose to dine outside but inside was beautiful! We got the Eggs Brouille. The eggs were scrambled perfectly! Melt in your mouth perfection! The potatoes were perfectly crispy and the tartness from the creme fraiche cut the fat making it the perfect bite! We also got the salmon dip which was spectacular! The fruit salad was soooo delicious it comes with a lemon sauce that's so delightful! I can't speak on the staff enough! I loved the diversity, they were all super friendly! These are the kinds of experiences that keep you coming back! Thank you all!

We had a wonderful experience today at HSV. Mari was our server and provided exceptional service with a smile. She was very knowledgeable on the types of wine and champagne and made some great recommendations. Aaron was also very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back soon. . .

The food here is excellent, as is the service. Great restaurant for date nights! And we love that the menu changes frequently but the dishes are always excellent!

My girlfriend and I stopped by after Soda City, and chef Jason greeted us at the door. The food was exquisite and had great attention to detail. The fried brie appetizer was an awesome start to the meal, and the tomato bisque is the best I've ever had. The atmosphere was casual with white tablecloth type service, and I would be comfortable in casual or business attire for brunch. Can't wait to be back to try the rest of the new menu!

From the curb appeal of outdoor dinning, my curiously was piqued. Very inviting! The staff were very professional and welcoming. We enjoyed our meal experience! The foods 5 star presentation of choices and deliciousness. Along with the smells from the kitchen, hinting that this was going to be delicious! We weren't disappointed with the pork chops and look forward to returning to try their scallops. From the bar my speciality wine request was made and they delivered! If you are a Columbia native, or just visiting in town! This is a must visit! The Management and Staff were above par and it shows.

The BEST duck I have ever had. The meat was so tender and juicy, it fell off the bone. The skin was crispy, and the flavor of the dish was off the charts. The orange was an AMAZING complement. I took my mom here, and both enjoyed the delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and excellent service. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Delicious French-ish food, which is a hard thing to find these days. I've never had anything bad here. Cute place, good atmosphere, great service.

1. our server didnt introduce themselves. 2. someone else took our drink & food order (A salad and a burger). 3. no one checked on us for 40 minutes. 4. had to go inside to be told there was a large party ahead of us. so we asked to have our food to go. 5. i spent 20$ on a togo box that was 1/6th mixed greens. brown apples and three pieces of "steak" which was actually skirt steak. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. FIRST EXPERIENCE. WORST EXPERIENCE. one star for decor.

Service was impeccable. Food was pretty good, a decent 4 stars for brunch. But what made this place was the ambiance outside. A great place for brunch with a few friends!

I cannot say enough good things about thIs intimate little restaurant in the heart of downtown Cola. Be prepared for delicious smells and friendly faces to greet you as you step through the door. The staff was accommodating of our last minute reservation change and gracious enough to allow us to bring in a homemade cake in honor of our daughter's 26th birthday. We enjoyed a variety of cocktails, wine, soup, salad and entrees and all were freshly prepared, delicious and timed appropriately between courses; I detest being rushed and their timing was spot on! I believe our server's name was Greg and he went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful celebration. The cream of tomato with basil soup and Caesar salad were phenomenal starters. Our daughter had a seasonal dish with boar shank (it was fab!), two members of our party had scallops and I was lucky enough to make the winning selection of the night - Crispy Duck Confit with sweet potato Gnocchi, Tasso ham, blistered tomatoes, arugula, red onion and a blackberry thyme gastrique...it was sublime. Run, don't walk, to this lovely restaurant and enjoy a delicious meal.

This is one of my all-time favorite places to eat or have a drink and meal with friends. It's ALWAYS so, so good! Excellent wine selections and fabulous desserts, too. Here's my salad with salmon from a recent lunch, and a pastry that was presented with a sparkler on top since they heard it was my birthday. Fun!! Everyone needs to eat here, at least once, and then you'll want to return.

This space provides probably the BEST ambiance for a restaurant in all of Columbia. Great outdoor seating surrounded by greenery and huge windows for street watching from inside with a quaint wooden bar area. Thw wine selection is very good...probably of one of the best in the city. Under new ownership and post pandemic, I delayed coming here because I wanted all the kinks to be worked out before tasting the menu. Why is it so hard to get three equally good courses in Cola? I started with the Parisian Gnocchi which was very tasty. I had the Duck A L'Orange which was cooked perfectly but was slightly overwhelmed by the orange sauce. I was expecting the sauce to be slightly more meat based with a hint of citrus but it was a sweet orange flavor. The duck was served on a fennel and orange salad which already added sweetness and I would have preferred it be more savory. I finished with the crepe cake which was slightly dry. When I make this at home I put more liquid creme Englaise between the layers and they make it differently. The complimentary Madeline's are a very nice touch however they are small and crunchy and not a pillowy spongy Madelaine. Hubby had a steak tartar which was good and the brioche served with it was light and delicately sweet. The Bouiliabase had a flavorful broth but the mussels where slightly overcooked to the point of disappearance. Hate when that happens. The Crème Brûlée was excellent but the champagne in the Chantilly was slightly alcohol heavy. We split a side of asparagus which was fresh and cooked perfectly with with citrus beurre blanc that was a little thicker than we are used to. Thinning this sauce just ever so slightly would have been perfection.. This was a very pricy meal and while it was gvery good, courses were really hit or miss. I hope some of the recipes get perfected because the ingredients were excellent with just spicing and flavoring needing tempering. The staff was helpful and attentive and bathroom space is tight and was slightly unkempt the evening that we were there. I still have high hopes for this place but it was very expensive not to have three excellent courses.

We had a very good experience here. Steven was our waiter who was Johnny on the spot! The escargot set with the mushrooms were excellent. The Scallops went extremely good with the sauce. This was a great dinner. If you want good tasting food with service and the appearance of the food, because I cannot think of the correct word, was fantastic. Not cheap but good tasting food. We will be back!!

The food was amazing and prepared perfectly! This is a great, intimate spot with incredible french food. The cheese plate particularly stood out with a great sampling of cheeses and sourdough bread. The staff was fairly attentive, but our server did not visit the table often, so it was slightly difficult to order and he also was unable to provide details about certain menu items.
