Waited 50mins for this when we arrived at around 11.20am. There were about 8-9 pieces of fish in the soup. The soup is peppery but not very outstanding. It’s a thin type of soup maybe for sick people. I think in Chinese terms it’s called “Qing tang” or light soup. The fish is really the standout here. It’s really fresh and soft. The rice costs 50 cents and the soup costs 6 for small. Auntie collects your order early when you’re still in the queue.

Rating: 0 stars 🤬 I've been eating here for the past 10 years, but this will be my last time. The aunty has become ruder and ruder over the years. Today was the final straw — not only was the fish not as fresh as it used to be, but I also had to queue 20–30 minutes just to be scolded for asking for more chili. Seriously? All I did was request extra chili — something I always do because I know the usual portion isn’t enough for me. Her response? She snapped at me saying, “1 second also cannot wait?” Is it wrong to ask for more chili at a place I’ve supported for a decade? And guess what? In the end, the amount she gave really was too little. For someone who loves spicy food, it just ruined the experience. Not worth the wait, the attitude, or the price anymore.

One of the best fish soups in town! 🐟🍲 Queued about 20 minutes (considered short for Han Kee 😅), and it was totally worth it. The fish slices are super fresh and generous, the soup is clear, naturally sweet, and very comforting — you can really taste the freshness of the ingredients. Highly recommend going for the fish head version; it has even more flavour and texture! 💯 Two bowls for only $13 — super value for money. Shiok to the max! 😋😋😋 Plus, we perspired so much while eating that we joked no need to go gym already. 😂💦 Definitely a must-try if you’re at Amoy Street Food Centre. Jin Ho Jiak! 👍🔥

Best fish soup in SG! Their fish soup is incredibly fresh, with thick, tender fish slices and a rich, comforting broth. It’s clear soup based but it’s still very flavourful. Portion sizes are generous (ard 8 chunky pieces), prices are affordable ($6), and service is fast even during peak hours. It’s my fav spot for a hearty, satisfying fish soup. 🌟 Best one yet!

Favorite fish soup stall with generous portions (photos are for the $10 bowls). However, the long queues can be deterring (>30 mins wait during weekday lunch time). Get your cash ready as the stall does not accept other payment methods.

Fish soup, we have 2 kinds in Singapore. One is the cantonese style, which adds milk to it and the teochew style which has a clear soup base. Personally for hawker style, I prefer the teochew style more. The question is where is the best in Singapore? I have tasted many many stalls and i have to say, the best ever is han kee at amoy street hawker center. Amoy street level 2 has probably 3-4 very long queue stalls and 2 of them are fish soup stalls. Piao ji is the other but personally i think the best is han ji. The stall uses batang fish, chinese cabbage and that’s all. The soup is clear and nice. There have this slightly saltish taste and the fish taste that makes this soup a must buy. Fish is so fresh and the texture is so smooth. The minimum cost per bowl is $5. The photo i took is the biggest portion of $9. Dont worry, $5 has a decent amount of fish in it and it will go down nice with a bowl of rice. If you want double the shiokness; get the bigger portion at $7 or $9. This is the real deal. Best of the best. Join the long queue and not before long, you will get your food.

Great flavourful fish soup, one of the best I’ve had. Fish slices were thick and fresh and portion size is above average. However service is quite poor, you may be scolded if you take more than a few seconds to decide your order! Suggest to go to the front of the queue to view the menu first before queuing. They only accept cash.

This one really spam fish. Ordered the medium fish soup at $8. The most amount of fish I ever had in my life from a fish soup stall. At least 10 pieces, and each piece is THICK. Soup is lightly flavored and garlicky. Queue of 10 people at 2.30pm on a weekday but it moves fast given it’s a well oiled operation. Prepare your cash and have your order ready so when the lady comes by when you are queueing you can hand the money over with your order.

Yelp
This stall is famous for its Mackerel fish soup. The soup overall is good especially had it with rice to add on the wholesomeness. However, please beware on who is handling your order. Usually, a middle age lady will take the order and although she gets the order correctly most of the time but she tend to miscalculated the amount of the order. Also, she can feisty and easily irritated if you break her tempo of gathering the order in the queue so please get your money ready in exact amount to prevent any wrath bestowed upon you. Finally, if you can't take really peppery taste this soup is not right for you as the handler will tend to add further more pepper before serving the soap. So you have been warned.
