We opted for the unlimited tasting menu $48 pp + 20% automatic gratuity for 2x. Things were going very well as the chinese broccoli was fantastic! Then next couple of small plates were OKAY, but we ate with an open mind. We ordered a next round of different dishes and again things were OKAY, but we were having a nice time. At 8:45 pm, we were told the kitchen was closing at 9:15 even though OFFICIAL closing was 10 pm. So…we ordered the peking duck and pickled radish and lo mein. The radish came and it was not good (I’ve had plenty of Korean pickled radish and love it) and lo mein was dry and flavorless. We didn’t complain, we just had the wait staff clear the table to make room for the duck. My dining date ordered more Chinese broccoli and Snow pea leaves to replace the dishes we didn’t bother to eat. We got those before the duck and was conservative eating to save room for the duck. THEN our main waitress came with the bill. We said we didn’t get the duck yet. She said, “You don’t like our food and you didn’t finish everything. So no duck is coming.” WOW. They got $158 out of me including a $26 tip I had no say in. We ENJOYED ourselves til the ATTITUDE happened. So even though there would’ve been repeat visits for the novelty of it, we now will NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE EVER. We were treated so poorly for no reason!

Hidden Gem Alert! We're perplexed why this restaurant remains underrated! Delicious food and exceptional service have solidified its spot as our favorite. Upon arrival, the friendly male waiter/manager warmly greeted us, offering seat options. We were thrilled to be seated in a lovely spot, setting the tone for outstanding service from him and Li. Li deserves special accolades! Her attentive, warm nature made us feel welcome. When she found out it was my husband's birthday, she surprised us with a thoughtful gesture: she surprised us with a thoughtful gesture - turning on birthday music, presenting a candle, and leading the staff in a heartfelt rendition of "Happy Birthday"! A sweet touch: her young daughter (we assume!) enthusiastically chimed in with an adorable "Happy Birthday" wish! Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, boasting expertly balanced flavors, generous portions, and beautiful presentations. We savored every bite of our delicious dumplings, crab meat soup, pineapple shrimp fried rice, stuffed crab claws, and desserts. The restaurant shines with: - Immaculate cleanliness - Tasteful decor - Cozy ambiance With a 20% gratuity already added, we still chose to tip extra – a testament to the staff's hard work and dedication. Ignore negative reviews and give this hidden gem a try! You won't regret it! Rating: 5/5 stars

Great food here tucked away! Very small place with big personality. Didn’t try the all-you-can-eat option since I was pressed on time but would have liked to.

I recently visited Han Palace, a charming Chinese eatery Chinese food with dim sum, and I was not thoroughly impressed! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a classic touch of Chinese decor that added to the authenticity of the experience. The dim sum menu was very limited, featuring har gow (shrimp dumplings) to siu mai, crispy spring rolls and soup dumpling. Each dish was freshly prepared, and the flavors were not wow. However, the char siu bao (BBQ pork buns) were soft, fluffy, and filled with rich, savory pork. The service was attentive as well. The staff were attentive and quick to recommend popular dishes. The dim sum arrived promptly. Many other dishes were ordered and they were just nothing extraordinary.

So I order lobster which I know how it’s supposed too be cooked since I frequently ask for this specific plate as you can see I didn’t even eat it because was the most horrible dish I could cook I told the lady and all she did was pick out the lobster because it was so slimy yes slimy but also said they added too much flour I will never go there again and I will make sure too tell everyone how bad the food is I still paid $59 for a lobster I didn’t even eat all and tasted so bad didn’t say anything acted like it was normal well that’s ok cause I will never and I work so close I will talk everyday how bad the food is because we all work hard for our money and this restaurant should appreciate will still go and dine in so disappointed at the owner you need to get better cooks and listen too you customers feed back no wonder they currently have a 3 star I should of know but I guess didn’t want too judge it right always people please stay away it’s all nasty

What and awesome concept in Georgetown DC. Priced at $48 option B covers A&B choices. Which includes a nice portion of Peking duck, chicken veg- dumplings, three treasure seafood, snow pea leaf, lotus leaf whit fish in special sauce, and dessert options. $18 for a bottomless mimosa 3 options they have a full drink menu as well. Excellent service food comes out hot and very tasty. Give this restaurant a try you will be happy. Leanne and Carolyn were amazing servers.

Google
We enjoyed the unlimited dimsum and more. I thought the $38pp was very reasonable for about 25 different food items. Yes there's an automatic gratuity which was about $7.50 pp, but I didn't find that ridiculous when servers has to come to your table for at least 10 times taking unlimited orders and unlimited plates. The place is packed and for some customers may be too tight as I've seen. The servers may not meet your expectations, they are very busy. It's like a marketplace lol. Loud, constantly walking past you and may not remember to smile. No big deal for me because I came for my dimsum haha. We tried almost everything. And my favorite was the chicken claw aka chicken feet, husband loved the stuffed crab claw. The pork siomai, shrimp dumpling, fried beef dumpling, pineapple fried rice were other items I would have loved to get more of but ran out of space in my body. They were great! Didn't care for the spring roll and pork bun. We tried all the desserts and found them all great. Husband loved the purple bun and I loved the sesame ball, wished it had the beans inside though. But all great! The food was freshly cooked and steaming hot! Will I come back? Yes absolutely.

Google
Small portions for the price. Also their buns didn’t even taste as good as these frozen ones you can get from grocery stores. The seats near the bar were very uncomfortable. Try to avoid to sit there. However, the bartender here could make a drink though. It was delicious! The waitress was very nice too.

Yelp
Let me just clock out real quick... We did the tasting menu option A, we sat, and we ate. Here's the thing, a party of 10 was there and so was a party of 22. Yes you read that right, Taylor Swift sized seating and they were not prepared for it. There's only like 3-4 waiters running up and down the stairs and truly bless their hearts for being able to handle all of the chaos. The food was good, it's just good. Is it mind blowing? No, they use plastic spoons, calm down. The shrimp and pineapple fried rice was my personal favorite, tasted like a traditional buttery Chinese tossed dish. Didn't opt for much of the dim sums since my friend doesn't eat pork but everything else was just good. Pro tip: it is not $35 or whatever it is advertised, gratuity is included and so is tax (obvs) an it comes out to around $50 per person, so don't be surprised. Also, order everything in that one go the first time they ask what you want, that's your chance to get everything you want because you'll never see your waiter again.

Yelp
Han Palace was an overall great visit! The food was delicious and service was very kind and attentive. The downstairs area of the Georgetown location is very quaint but bright and cheerful. My friend and I tried the tasting menu. There were only a couple of items we didn't prefer (pork ribs in garlic sauce and the pork buns) but the various dumplings, Singapore noodles, and crab fried rice were superb! We also enjoyed the flavor of the beef and vegetable dumplings, and the scallion pancakes (not pictured). Our only wish was that there was at least one meat entree on Tasting Option A. I will absolutely return to try the entrees on the Tasting Option B. Bring an appetite!

Yelp
I stopped here yesterday after work to pick up my takeout order. I work super close to this restaurant so was able to walk down there within 5 minutes. I was so excited to try this location since I enjoyed the food so much at the Barracks's Row location. I ordered General Tso's chicken and their seafood fried rice. When I walked in, I was a bit confused because of the layout of the restaurant. The door literally opened into a table almost and it was very tight inside. Maybe enough for 10 people to eat inside and that's it. There were three workers on the floor and not one of them greeted me. They looked at me as if I was lost which made me a bit uncomfortable. I told them I was there to pick up my food and thankfully it was ready. I grabbed my food and headed out and again, not one goodbye, or thank you, or come again. As someone who worked in customer service for a number of years, I always pay attention to these things when I visit an establishment. It will often determine if I go back again. Now for the food, it was just ok. It was not as tasty as the food from the Barrack's Row location. The General Tso chicken tasted more like batter than actual chicken, and the sauce didn't taste right. It wasn't sweet enough and the rice was very plain. There was barely any scallop in my bowl and for almost $20, I expected better tasing rice. Based on the food not being that good and the service being unfriendly, I would not return or recommend this location.

Yelp
This is not your usual dim sum place. There aren't carts being pushed around where you point for the dishes you want. They take your order like a normal restaurant. We opted for the AYCE Option B and it was 100% worth it due to the 2 duck items. I highly recommend you get the Peking duck and salted duck. Tastes just like the ones in other cities' Chinatown, not gamey. It took us 30 minutes before anyone came to take our order, so be ready to order what you want when they come. Service for food is slow but everything came out sizzling hot so that's understandable. Wish the place was big enough for the carts to be pushed around where you can get the dishes readily.

Yelp
Love the concept of unlimited dim sum! And they give you pretty small portions of each order, so you can really try a lot of items. There's better Chinese food in DC, but for the price, this was a great deal. The restaurant is small and pretty bare bones, but the service is quick. You're really here for the food (even though the food isn't outstanding either) The soup dumplings, pork bun, and cucumber salad were my favorite items!

Yelp
Nicely decorated Chinese Restraunt in Georgetown ( going up Wisconsin towards Clover park). Excellent service, friendly and attentive staff, prompt service. 5 out of 5 for service. We didn't try dim sum menu and went for a la cart. Perhaps that was a mistake. The food we tried is 3.5 stars :Pekingese duck ( half duck order, $35) looks more like a quarter, not very skilfully cut ( the meat and especially the crispy skin were cut in very small pieces, almost chopped ), the think pancakes to wrap the duck are way too thick and break when you try to make a roll, also they are served in an open basket and are already cold ashen arrive to the table. I wouldn't order it again, taste is ok ( I had much better duck before), very messy to eat as it is impossible to assemble a roll, and not a good value for the price. We also tried crispy beef ( main course). Way too much sugar, and the beef pieces are literally swimming in very sweet sauce, killing the effect of crispy. Again, we had crispy beef before and have a better comparison basis. The highlight was sweet and sour soup (5 stars): good portion, great taste/ perfect balance of sweet and sour and hot spices . Since this restaurant is my neighbourhood, I would like to give it another try but with a larger group ( this time it was only 2 of us) and order dim sum menu to have a larger tasting base.

Yelp
Service here was decent, and I'm happy that there wasn't a wait during my visit. The food is good. There is a decent variety to try items that you are familiar with and things that may be new to you. Seating on the main floor was kind of tight, but it was able to hold two small parties, some solo diners, and a few couples. The lemon drop was ok, should've been chilled more. I'm happy that I was able to switch my cocktails and not have to stick to just one type for the special. I'm happy I was in the area and noticed this place since it's been heavily reviewed. It met my expectations.

Yelp
Tried Han Palace in Georgetown for the first time recently and it was a good experience! The portions you get are a good value for the all you can eat price, but the dim sum only menu isn't as big of a variety as other dim sum places. The seating inside is very tight, and can fill up quickly. So best to arrive early and during weekends, you will probably have to wait. The staff members are attentive despite having so much to keep track of - serving drinks and food and picking up after tables and seating new guests all at the same time. The place was buzzing! But the food was good. I think some of the dishes were made with sauces that were a little too sweet for my liking. They didn't taste how traditional dim sum should taste. I enjoyed the noodle dishes the most. Overall, it's a good place to try out!
google avatar

Yelp
Heard about this place on tiktok and decided to give it a try, so happy we did! I'll be dreaming of the Singapore noodles forever. I loved everything we tried and we tried nearly everything for the all you can eat option A. All of the wait staff were so nice and attentive, such a lovely experience. It's a small place and does fill up quick, luckily we went during the week on an off time so it wasn't terribly busy. Definitely will be going again next time I'm in DC!

Yelp
Cute spot for bottomless food and drinks in Georgetown! I had the bottomless lemon drops which were delicious and almost every dish on the "B" menu. The beef fried rice and pancake scallions were soo good. Honestly, everything was delicious but those two stood out. The staff was so friendly and accommodating too! I'll be back for round #2, maybe try out their other locations. Great place for brunch!
google avatar

Savannah D.

Yelp
Han Palace Dim Sum offers all-you-can-eat Option A at $38 per person or Option B for $48 per person. The warming xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) were bursting with flavor, and the chewy steamed pork buns were delightful. The shrimp dumplings, dipped in black vinegar and soy, were perfectly satisfying. Service was fast and pleasant, and they accommodated two without a reservation. This cozy location is great, but the Woodley Park spot near the Zoo with trees and lanterns is adorable!
google avatar

Judy C.

Yelp
The all you can eat option is worth a try. Option A contains various dim sum while option B was not that necessary.

Yelp
Really good food. It is a tiny place and so can be a bit hectic on the weekend. We were a group of 5 so we were able to try so much of the menu. The duck, pork belly bao, soup dumplings and Chinese broccoli were excellent. The bottomless mimosas were premixed and almost all OJ, skip. The soap in the bathroom is as watered down as the mimosas. The hot and sour soup was meh but everything else is worth a return visit.
google avatar

Tyrone Omar N.

Yelp
Han Palace unlimited Dim Sum experience was enjoyable, however, not the best we have had in the area. Because the plates are unlimited in the restaurant, we found that the flavors, warmth and overall quality of the food are somewhat compromised. The aesthetic of the place is however quite cute and stylish.

Yelp
Han Palace on Connecticut Ave has always been a favorite for my friends so when Han Palace Georgetown opened up and is much closer to my house, I wasn't able to resist. Right now they have a like $40/45 (? I don't remember- don't quiz me) tasting menu for the dim sum and it is SO worth it. It's all you can eat but you have to finish what you order or you're charged a fee for your food waste- which I think is a good practice for restaurants to enact. The star of their menu is truly the crab dumpling- it is this massive fried ball of crab and shrimp meat and it's crispy and hot and just so dang good! We also tried all 3 of the desserts and the sesame ball is actually just pure deliciousness. It's this sweet rice ball with brown sugar inside and covered in sesame seeds, but it's simple done right. The inside is really cute but it is a tight space so be prepared to be near other people when you eat here. It's great food all made fresh to order, so I will definitely be back.

Yelp
LITERALLY THE WORST SERVICE EVER. We made an 8pm reservation for my friend's birthday. When we got their, the "manager" kept insisting we called to cancel and when we explained why would we call and still show up, he changed his response to "well, someone called" and shrugged. He was unprofessional and did nothing to try to resolve their error. We ended up being sat at 8:50pm! The server kept saying we had 22 people with us when there was only 12... it was weird. They kept bringing out food we didn't order and then some of the things they let us order they came back an hour later and said they don't have anymore. One of our items we didn't even get until 9:45 after I had to ask for multiple times. 6 people in the group had ordered the bottomless drink options and after one round the server said they don't have anymore clean glasses. First, why are you telling me this??? Second, go clean your glasses. They brought out the mimosa in an orange juice container from Lidl smh. Lastly they argued with us for wanting takeaway boxes but after everything they put us through and only having a limited time to eat, boxes was the least they could do. Overall, I'd never come back and don't recommend giving this place your business. They don't care about the customer at all.
google avatar

Joy S.

Yelp
Tasting Menu Option A is good, but next time I would totally do Option B. Food quality is good. Seafood dish is legit.
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
We were enticed based on various social media posts promoting this place. Unfortunately, it wasn't as good as advertised. The service was good as it would have been appropriate to downgrade to two stars if it wasn't. We opted for option A for the dim sum smorgash board. The good ones were the clab claw and Singaporean noodles. The rest were a little greasy that left my stomach very uneasy. The mango boba was not that good either. There is gratuity already included in the bill.
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
What an incredible addition to the neighborhood. Though not large, the interior is nicely decorated and welcoming. We sat upstairs in the bar area, right along a wall of windows which brought in nice light and made the space feel much larger than it is. Service was prompt and courteous, with menu substitutions noted and suggestions given. We ordered a few dim sum, all of which were tasty, and then 1/2 duck to share. All our food was great, but the duck was the standout.
google avatar

Alyssa P.

Yelp
The food was 10/10 duck was my favorite. I went for my birthday and made a reservation and was late with the latest reservations and they were so nice to me. They played me music n the dessert with the bun was so good! I got drunk I don't drink often but I was tore up. 15/10 okay I will be back
google avatar

Priscilla D.

Yelp
My friend and I were so excited to try this place! We got there 10 mins after our reservation and there was no host stand to check in, people were just standing around. We finally got a table after more than a 30 min wait. So it's now 7:40ish. Then we had to finally grab someone's attention to order and he tells us the kitchen is too busy and is not making food right now! Now it was 8pm. Beyond belief! We immediately left. I'll never be back to any of their locations.
google avatar

May Cho J.

Yelp
We went there during this weekend and the service was bad.The manager had an unpleasant expression towards the customers. We ordered the Shuu Mai and Shrimp dumplings but they came out like an hour later because they gave our orders wring to other table while the waitress/manager ignored our request.I can see they are really unorganized and unprofessional at this point.I was excited to try the new dim sum place than my regular one,the potions are smaller than other places as well.Never going to come back here again.

Sharon L.

Yelp
The food was amazing! Went for lunch and did the all you can eat option and did not regret it! The walnut shrimp was my favorite dish! The inside of the restaurant was very cute with beautiful decorations, and the service was also amazing as the waiters were quick to take our order and had the food coming out very quickly.

Kevin P.

Yelp
Did ubereats and the delivery was great. Wish they had the full menu on there but oh well. Love the Singapore street noodles.

Nedo V.

Yelp
Horrible place. Saw a mouse run out of the kitchen and a the cook was in the washroom with me and never washed his hands. Disgusting venue that needs to get shut down immediately
google avatar

Joni D.

Yelp
The food is delicious! Fresh and cooked perfectly. The place was packed: couples, families, and friends. Happy hour drink prices. Staff is focused and efficient.
google avatar

Daniel C.

Yelp
Food is average. It looks like a good place to try out considering it's all you can eat....however there is a 2 hour limit and it make take an hour to actually get your food at the pace of service. 2 hours was up by the time we managed to get our second round in. Also gratuity was already Included and we only had a party of 2. Gratuity was more than we wanted to give considering the level or service. However you don't go to Asian restaurants for the service.
google avatar

Justin S.

Yelp
We went during the soft opening -- the upstairs space has a big table perfect for large groups. Terrific food and great service and setting!

Jay P.

Yelp
Cozy (read: tight), food is 'okay', slow and forgetful service, understaffed, it's NOT all you can eat despite the advertisement. It's overpriced and they add gratuity. Moral of the story? Go out for real dim sum in Rockville and save the hassle in Glover/town (Georgetown it only sorta is, BTW.)

crystal z.

Yelp
Han Palace Georgetown - decorated chic, Peking duck skin crisp and tender, the tasty egg yolk buns, wow , really delicious! As good as any other Han palace. although the place is were very busy , but the waiters are very nice, Love it!
google avatar

Jay L.

Yelp
Hugely disappointed, $38 for dim sum Buffett plus 20% tips added already , our bill came to $118 for 2 . Service was extremely slow , food was very average. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
google avatar

Faith P.

Yelp
Waited over an hour to be seated. Had to call down the waiter multiple times JUST to take our order. Even when we got our food, it wasn't the complete order. Sitting here still, going on hour 2, and considering telling them if we can't just get the check then we're leaving because this is ridiculous. They've made eye contact and refuse to acknowledge our presence.

Brian B.

Yelp
Here on the first day of opening. The Dim Sum is excellent and reasonably priced. Great service and a nice atmosphere. I highly recommend you give it a try.

Vee S.

Yelp
Food came out with perfect timing and staff is really nice. Love the Peking duck. The decor provides a nice feel too

Luke G.

Yelp
The service and food was amazing! We had an incredible meal of flower tea, soup dumplings, Singapore noodles and peking duck. Our server, Leanne, was so helpful and so kind, I cannot recommend Han Palace enough!

Chen H.

Yelp
Leanne serve us so good. I felt really well attended to. Great food, great service, amazing price. Sat at the bar and it was beautiful. Good ambiance.

Don B.

Yelp
A delightful lunch in a beautifully renovated space. We were very fond of Stix, which filled the space previously, but Han Palace is a very welcome successor. The room is filled with colorful lanterns and accomodating staff, the menu has a large selection of dim sum, and numerous attractive offerings. We can particularly recommend the crab fried rice, along with several delicate dumplings! Welcome to the neighborhood!

Caraline D.

Yelp
The service and quality of food needs to be improved. I enjoyed my experience at the Woodley park location so wanted to check this new location out. We ordered the unlimited option. If I came back, I think I would prefer ordering a la carte only because of the service and lack of options from the unlimited tasting menu given the price with gratuity at the end. I'd probably enjoy the food more ordering a la carte and pay the same amount, but I feel like a lot of people come here for the unlimited tasting menu. There were multiple of us at the table and everytime we ordered 1-2 of an item, like a steamed bun for instance, the waiter would give us a weird look and be very reluctant to even put the order in. It came off as stingy and really strange, especially since we didn't leave any uneaten food before leaving/there was no food waste, and we weren't ordering an absurd amount given the amount of people at our table. A couple of times, they forgot to put our order in and we had to remind them. The food was greasy and not much meat in the dishes at all. Overall, a little disappointing and I'm not sure I'd go back to this location if I wanted to visit Han Palace again since I had a better experience at other locations.
