Food: 3.5/5- The takoyaki was one of the better ones I've had. The karrage chicken was by far the worst thing our family ordered, as the meat wasn't crispy and the insides were still pink. The ramen bowls themselves are pretty good, but the price of the bowls are overpriced and don't include an egg (costs extra). The chashu bowl is tasty, but very tiny for the cost. Overall, this restaurant does good food-wise, and the only redeeming quality about this place.
Service: 0.5/5- Walking into the restaurant, there was only one girl and the chef with full tables. The girl, after about 2 minutes, asks us for how many people were in our party (we had 7). We had to wait for about five minutes as she tried to help the other customers. After wiping our table down, we sit and look at the digital menu. She comes back around 7-10 minutes later and we order. The water (which we had to get ourselves) runs out, so one of our party members had to go without water. After around 20 minutes, the girl comes out to tell one of us that they ran out of curry, and that he needs to order something else. Then we proceed to wait 40 minutes for our bowls to come. While we're waiting, the group of guys across from us talks up our waitress, and they get to chatting. The chef finally brings out the food for the girl to serve, and he rings the bell. She looks at us, then him, and goes back to talking to the group of men. The chef, after a short time, rings the bell again, and she does nothing. The chef has to bring out our food himself, and struggles to give us our bowls. After the guys at the table across from us leave, the girl walks around, and eventually storms off outside. Eventually she comes back in, and shortly after comes to bring us the check. We inform her that one of ours orders, the gyoza, hasn't arrived, and she responds with "oh, that's okay", and we cancel that order. Finally, we pay for our food, and leave. Angered and annoyed.
Ambiance + Cleanliness: 1/5- I wish this place had a good vibe, but the minute you walk in you see an old ramen-making machine with sporadic decoration throughout the place. The rag used to wipe the tables smelled absolutely filthy after a day of use. The pillows, while cute, are quite dirty, and the QR code used for the digital menu was small and non-user-friendly. Lastly, the menu itself is often misleading in its descriptions.
All in all, I had high hopes for this place, but my experience was awful, and other recent reviews seem to agree. If you're looking for ramen in Utah, just buy instant ramen... you'll save your money and time.
