We ate here recently and had a solid experience overall, with a few things that kept it from being a true standout—especially for the price point.
Our server, Christian, was excellent. He was attentive, friendly, and on top of everything without being intrusive. The drinks were a highlight: I had the Waffle Cone Old Fashioned (really well done), and my wife enjoyed the Blackberry Mojito.
For an appetizer we tried the Aji Stack. It was decent, but the avocado and cucumber came through more than the tuna. The wontons, however, were excellent. One funny downside: the plate it was served on spun when you tried to scoop from it, which made it oddly difficult to eat—interesting, but not ideal.
For dinner, my wife ordered the marinated flat iron and really enjoyed it. I had the filet mignon. The filet was fine, but there was too much char and it overpowered the flavor. On the other hand, the sides were great—especially the Brussels sprouts and the salt and vinegar fries.
My biggest issue is value. At this price level, I expected a bit more consistency, and it was disappointing that they don’t validate parking at the attached Embassy hotel. If you’re charging premium pricing, parking is something you should help guests with.
Overall, I’d consider going back, mainly for the service and sides, but it wouldn’t be my first choice if I’m specifically in the mood for steak.
