A Korean pocha experience is what you’re looking for in Duluth and Hanshin has it in spades. The vibe is upbeat and lively (keep in mind it’s best later in the night when the dim lighting and K-pop/Korean hip-hop is on full blast) and the patrons are just there to drink, eat, and chill. It’s like a slice of late-night Korea right here in Gwinnett.
The food was spot on for a pocha. Lots of spicy stir-fried dishes, fried items, and stews all super savory and meant to be shared. They’re also perfect for pairing with soju and beer. Lots of dishes are big enough to share with a group. Drinks were good value and the traditional soju cocktails are a must.
Service is still great during peak times, especially in a bar environment where the staff is likely slammed. Employees are generally friendly and efficient and once your order comes out, it’s worth the wait.
Overall, it’s a fun spot if you’re looking for a low key, high energy, drinking and dining experience with your friends. It’s loud, so come hungry, bring a group, and plan to stay a while. It’s not for a quiet bar crawl but that’s really the whole point.
