Hao Tang Hao Mian (Tai Wai)

好湯好麫 is one of the best noodle soup spots you can find in Hong Kong! I tried both the 西班牙火腿 and 海龍皇湯, and they were absolutely delicious. The soup base is truly out of this world—rich and flavorful like nothing else. Just a heads up, it’s best to go early on weekends to avoid the long queues. The only downside is that the restaurant is quite tiny, so it’s not the most comfortable place to dine in, and the noodles are on the softer side. But with soup this good, it’s totally worth it!

Nice restaurant in Tai Wai. I ordered the bowl with shiitake, chicken leg mushrooms, crispy tofu sheet, black fungus, kelp soup and flat noodle, and it was pretty tasty. Make sure you bring cash because they don't take digital payments.

The broth is super rich and they definitely give you a generous amount of food for the expensive price. You get what you pay for! We tried the 黑口黑面 black ink noodle and the 海龍皇湯 seafood noodle. They were both very delicious and perfect. We came on a Tuesday around 2:30pm and got seated right away. We will definitely come back and I recommend everyone to try if they like a rich soup noodle with fresh seafood ingredients. The noodles is not chewy but it is cooked to the right texture not too soft or too hard. The environment feels clean and they have upstair seating too. The staff is super friendly and professional.

Great soup, excellent ingredients and superb seasoning. The noodle is not bad but the soup takes the lead. We ordered the squid soup noodle, beef noodle and the prawn dumpling noodle, all three of them are great! The handmade tofu was a surprise treat. Will definitely come again and recommend this place to friends. Hope they can keep up the good quality in the future.

There's always a line here, so either early or come on an off hour to enjoy some of the best soup noodles Hong Kong has to offer. This place has been placed on Michelin's Bib Gourmand list for good reason. The soup base used for the noodles here are out of this world; so fragrant and flavorful, it really gives you the feeling of a Chinese version of Japanese Ramen. This comparison may draw a bit of confusion, but it will make sense once you try it. I had the fish maw soup noodles and the sheer size of the fish maw that came with the noodles surprised me. It would be difficult to get a piece of fish maw this size for this price anywhere else. The soup was creamy and tasted heavily of seafood. Another one we sampled was the one made with lobster and crab; that had the taste of a lobster bisque for a soup base. The noodles will vary from bowl to bowl, but the thick noodles that came with the fish maw noodles were delectable. A great choice for soup and noodle lovers.

Best fusion noodles I have tasted, I have visited regularly ever since they first opened. I have been away from Hong Kong since 2019, but every time I visit friends and family in Hong Kong, I make sure I come to this place at least a few times. The ingredients are fresh, tasty and the broth is thick but not oily. I also like the special drinks they serve, which changes from time to time.

Menu serves variety of broth base with different toppings. Each order took awhile to serve. Noodles are pretty expensive while portion is relatively small. 4 of us out of 6 still felt hungry after finishing a bowl. Beef, chicken and seafood base broth were quite oily. Beef one was too beefy and strong. We all didn't enjoy much considering not filling and overrated. P.s air conditioning wasn't cool at all which the whole dining experience was overwhelming especially it was 34 degrees out there.

No line on a Sunday afternoon, we were seated immediately on the second floor, which was suffocating - so stuffed with minimal aircon. The soup noodles were good with noodles being a tad bit too soft. The red shrimp with blue crab soup was exquisite and full of flavour. Be reminded to refuse seating on the second floor, the piping hot soup plus the stuffy atmosphere led to a pretty unpleasant experience for us.
