Hapeville Corner Tavern

First visit. Sat outside on patio. Good outdoors view with a green area with picnic tables, a patio area with a nice view to see street action including an occasional train ride thru. The patio wraps, so depending on where you enter, you'll see something different. There is a small bar outside with maybe 8 seats in addition to the regular outdoor seating. The patio offers some privacy with plants and shrubs. There are pool tables on the inside, a much larger bar. It is a family restaurant. I did see several families with children of all ages. The food was good. The wings are smoked and had a nice taste. The fries came out cold , and the broccoli was basically raw with absolutely no seasoning, so ask for them to be cooked longer if need be. The customer service was slow. My server didn't know much about the menu. She was not bad. She seemed to just be there. Very transactional. I would only go back for the same reason I chose to go - the outdoors seating on a nice day. I'm sure, if I stayed in the area I would frequent more. The menu is at their website. Plenty of options.

Food was delicious service fast and friendly. I would add pressure wash the outdoor pavilion eatery area it will look so much better. We ordered Tavern Melt, California Turkey and side order grilled shrimp. Overall excellent. First ratings was 5 Update 3/23/25 second visit today. Food was not its best. California turkey sandwich on sourdough horrible white bread was stale. Management must do better. Saving coins frying onion rings and fries old grease cooking is a big No. I did share with our waiter the dissatisfaction but still left a $10 tip with an order costing $38. I brought my Cali turkey sandwich home and toasted it on my grill. Wasting no money. I enjoy the outdoor eatery but will not be returning. This rating a 1

I had the absolute worst experience ever! At first, I sat at the bar to order food and was completely ignored for at least 10 minutes by the bartender and staff. After that, I finally spoke with a waitress to be seated outside because it was such a nice day. However, the waitress completely forgot about me and did not come back so I got up and left. As a new resident in Hapeville, I was extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service And lack of apology.

I’m not usually the type of person to leave reviews, but I must say that I am very disappointed with this place. During the winter, it is freezing inside. Can you imagine trying to eat while shivering? In the summer, there is a strong smell like a dumpster, which is pretty disgusting while you are eating. My food was cold, and I felt like I was going to throw up afterward. I will never go there again. The staff are friendly, but the owner, or whoever is in charge of running this place, really needs to do a better job.

I found this place over by me and it is grreat for people who like to just chill after work. The patio is spacious and relaxing. You even have a view of the planes flying in. Great Drinks, wings are a nice size and the burgers were filling. My husband has never not finished his plate, but our visit on Saturday was a first.

The food is very bland, but Cee is the best waitress in there! She is very attentive, courteous, and always happy every time I see her, no matter how busy she is! Keep up the good work. I also enjoyed the karaoke I stumbled upon one night I came in.

Me and my husband stopped here after driving 3 hours on the road when we arrived I was dissatisfied with the service!no one greased us as we entered the restaurant!I had to go up to the bar and request for my server our Waiter was not professional and kind ! She was running in and out the front door speaking to a customer she knew on a personal level !!the food was alright it could have Ben better! We won’t stop by again

Met my boyfriend here for my birthday today for a quick luncheon. We order the burgers and fries. I had the beef burger with cheddar cheese and fries. It was so good!! It was really good and both of ours first time there. Not to bad of prices and food came out quick, hot and very delicious 😋. Friendly staff and not a long wait for food. If you are in the Hapeville area, definitely stop by.

We had a great time at corner tavern last night! The food was great, we had the nachos and fried pickles (huge portion!), wings and the arugula salad with salmon. Everyone loved their food. The best part of our experience was our server Tanner, he was really great! Thank you Tanner for taking good care of us! Side note but the music level was great - we could still talk and hear each other which is always nice!

I had ordered the wings not good have a funky smoke taste with no flavor The tater tots probably came from a frozen bag not good at all Should have ordered the salad service basic Probably won't eat here again so sad

God, I really want to places in my community. I've tried over and over again to go here because the food is usually good. Not this visit!!! First the tater tots tasted like tortilla chips. I'm guessing they are using the same oil to cook fried food and tortilla chips. You would think a restaurant would cook the chips first thing in the morning or last thing at night. Secondly, they are using the blackened chicken as a substitute for the regular grilled chicken sandwich. If I wanted the blackened chicken sandwich I would have ordered that meal.

Ate here for a work event. It was about 25 of us so they sat us in the back in the pool table room. The food was decent, I tried the buffalo shrimp, the chips and cheese dip, fried pickles, wings and Thai shrimp noodles. Everything was decent, I really liked the wings as they are smoked and then fried. Took 2 stars bc there was a wet mildew smell that kept hitting my nose that was off putting. One of my coworkers ordered the salmon sandwich medium well and it came out rare. The waiter stated that since she cut it in half he can't put it back on the grill and they were out of salmon so she'd need to order something else. Everyone who ordered steak sandwiches had to reorder (after we were already being served our entrees) due to them being out of steak. Other than that, it was a cool evening.

Food was excellent. Chicken wings are awesome. Fish and Chips very good. Service great. Mattie the bartender did a fine job. Stopping here anytime we got a flight out of Atlanta.

Rest. failed to remember our reservation. Took way too long on week night to receive our food as restaurant wasn't that busy. Arrived at 7 pm final guests were served closed to 10 pm!!

Man, I used to think this place was okay, BUT the redid their menu & it's something to talk about! They FINALLY made their own veggie patty instead of relying on the gross impossible, artificial meat! It's a swinging burger! Their Brussel sprouts are also incredible! Service is a tossup but usually pretty good. They have their own parking lot as well which is a bonus. They have pool tables, a fine selection of drinks & a pretty damn good menu. Can't wait to go back now that it's been revamped!

Bartender woth beard is an ass. Been coming here for 7 yrs and he cant even smile and say hello... he said cause he having a bad day. Find a different place if coming before 6. He so much as told me so! Said his shift ends at 6 and come after him if I expect general politeness. Wtf such an ass!!!! Outweighs the good food. Dont come before 6!!!! Says his name is John but feel like ge is as disingenuous as his attitude

A pretty chill inexpensive bar. Nothing too fancy. Our waiter was really nice. I got a club sandwich. Way bigger than I was expecting and I liked the fries a lot. Played pool with my friend as well. I don't remember what the rental rate was but it was hourly. Wasn't pricey at all. And a nice selection of beer on draft. I'd go again for a simple time out.

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the lamb burger! Outstanding. My only complaint was the time it took to get our beer. About 5-10 min once the order for the beer was placed. No keg change and not really that busy. Explanation was a shift change but both ordered about 20 min apart. Service was pretty good. Would have been 4 stars but minus one for delay in drinks.

Excited to see this place reopened again, however not excited that they took some of my favorites off of the menu. As a Vegan, it was really nice to be able to have options that were not just a salad gave their veggie burger a try but was underwhelmed.

Came here for lunch with some coworkers on a recommendation. Got seated & ordered fairly quickly. The food took a while to get to us BUT they get some grace because there were 2 bigger parties that were there before us. I got the lamb sandwich with the sweet potato fries. The sandwich was NOT spicy like the menu said but it was still good. And the water came out in like a fancy glass bottle but I swear they poured it out the sink. Would give it another go

Food was good, but the service was terrible. We kept waiting to order another drink, but we could not find the server. Went to the bathroom and the server was standing in the bathroom texting.

This was our first time coming here. We arrived at 6:15pm. It's a walking and seat yourself establishment. But it took 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. It wasn't until Chelsea stated she would be with us, and she was our waitress, and she brought us water.And menus we literally waited until 8:21pm when the food came out. My plate was hotter then my food. I ask to speak with the manager, and that took 20mins. So i walked inside.Asked to speak to the manager.She looked like a deer in headlights. I'm expressing my dissatisfaction and she asked me, what should she do about it. When it should have been the other way around?She should have been telling me what she's gonna do to rectify my concerns. She did offer to fix me something else.But after waiting two hours, I was not attempting to wait another minute for a meal.I will never come here again.Or recommend this place, and this is in my neighborhood.How ironic. And I was thinking of hosting an event at this place, which would have brought in big tips and big menu sales. I don't wanna bring in race.But considering the time we went.There were only two black couples there myself, and the older couple that sat across from us. That couple even went in as I was complaining.Canceled their orders because they were taking too long. Management gave me excuses, stating it was new staff, does not know what's going on in the kitchen and my responses to that.Was that's your issue?You should have had a season cook to work alongside your new hires again unacceptable.I can go on and on but since i'm never coming back to this place or recommended it, I'll leave it at this eat at your own risk...

Brunch on weekends 11am. Food is good. Limited menu. Specials. Service is good. Small crowd.

If you are gluten free do not go here. If you looked online at their menu it's not right. And if you want great bar food skip it my husband ordered lemon pepper wings that did not taste anything remotely like lemon pepper. Lucy our server was nice but other than that the bartender ignored us and after sitting there for over 15 minutes while he was in the corner with his friends tasting his drinks through a straw we asked another waitress if we could order and she pointed to the bartender. We told her he hasn't come back and she just shrugged her shoulders and walked away. we relocated outside where Lucy took our order. Needs to do better with all the other options in the area. Won't return won't recommend.

Visited for Brunch on a Sunday. The Brussel Sprouts are amazing!!! The bloody Mary's are good. Ordered the blacken chicken sandwich and hamburger with side salads. The music is very nice 80's Rock vibe! They are dog friendly and the service is attentive and friendly. We will be back!

A great hangout spot, the burgers were amazing! Hapeville Lager all day. The bartender was busy but she accommodated everyone.

Came down for an event at Porsche down the street. Overall a good experience. Food was hot/fresh, server was pretty good/she had nearly every table going for a while, until some new staff showed up. All in all, pretty good.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn a mile away. Last chance for domestic beer before all inclusive in Aruba. Food was great. Neat place. Nice bar. Lots of TVs. Cornhole and pool tables.

In the surrounding areas of zip code 30315 , it's is extremely difficult to find a decent place to eat if you aren't looking for the same old mundane fast food. Such as , Popeyes, Chick Fil-A and McDonald's , to name a few. I spent 1 hour looking for something since I was in the area visiting friends . Finally , I stumbled upon Corner Tavern - Hapeville . I'll be honest , not only did the place have a reasonable amount of good reviews , the building didn't look so bad either . As I parked in the rear parking lot, it didn't look sketchy. There's a decent amount of parking, but if there was ever a big event I don't know where patrons would park. It wasn't that much for a huge crowd in my opinion. When I approached the building I passed a court yard with seating. There were a few bean bag toss games in the courtyard as well . I had to passed through an open covered patio with fans and high top tables . It looked nice for anyone who'd love dining outside. The place was dark and cozy . From as far as I could see ; it appeared to be clean . The ladies at the bar were friendly. I was greeted with smiles and a willingness to help me . I ordered a Jive Turkey Burger for myself and salmon on a arugula salad, with tomatoes , red bell pepper, and a little corn to take over to a friends house . The wait was about 15 minutes. I was offered a cup of ice water, in a clear to - go cup with a straw . It came in handy since I was out of water in my cooler , that I usually keep in the trunk of my car . At this point the only thing I didn't like about my experience was the 20% gratuity automatically added for take out orders . As I proceeded to pay for my food , on the screen it asked for another tip . Thankfully it was something I could opt out on . You're probably thinking I don't want to leave tips . If so, you're wrong. I have an issue with mandatory tips . Especially if I've never been there before, haven't tried the food and who am I tipping ? Am I paying a tip for someone to do their job in the kitchen? To only be asked again to tip for paying for my own food. I didn't understand the logic behind it . I leave tips anyway , for good service , but that should be under my discretion not forced . It doesn't seem sincere . What if the food isn't what I expected? I digress ! When I arrived to my destination, I noticed the food looked tasty . The presentation met my expectations. It smelled good. My turkey burger was delicious. It came with avocado, sriracha ranch and mozzarella cheese. That sounds simple , but it was delicious! I'm not a huge meat eater , but the turkey was so good. I don't have words for it . It's house made and I love the shape of the meat as well . Looked like mama made it . The fries were the old school fries with a little skin left on them. The technical name is potato periderm . (Hahaha .. the nerd in me ) Everything was seasoned to perfection. Not one thing was salted heavily or running in grease . This includes the salmon meal . Yummy ! Later , I checked out the website and it clearly stated there will be a 20% gratuity. I was out driving around looking for a good meal . Therefore , I didn't know this , but at least the website prompts awareness. It would have changed my mind had I not been out side to see the building and the over all look of the place . This plays a major role for me. Thank goodness it looked nice. Therefore, I took my chances . Appearance counts for sure . Despite knowing about the mandatory to - go gratuity I'd eat here again . The experience was delightful otherwise. I give it 4 stars because of the forced gratuity .

It's a neighborhood bar that burned down twice! It's open for business now service is mediocre. Variety of bar food is ok since the burning down of the restaurant the prices went up a bit so your paying $12 for a cheese burger so price points $15 to $25 for entrees. Pool tables available and wide screen tv's at the bar... Inside and outside seating available. I'd would give them a 3 star But most of the good bartenders left in the last fire and they never returned...Stay hungry folks

I'm happy this place is back open.. Good service, friendly staff.. Since they have reopened i been there 2x and both times been good.. The bartender suggested the burger and tots and another time I wanted to get the chicken nachos.. Food comes out fast, service is good, they have private parking lot and plenty of seating on the patio.. Good ambiance and vibes.

When we arrived we were greeted very nicely by two employees. The young lady behind the bar was fantastic for the duration of our visit. Atmosphere and ambience very inviting. The reason we probably won't return to Corner Tavern lies entirely on management. As the server behind the bar very quickly became overwhelmed she was never offered any help. What appeared to be two management and 2 dining room servers stood in the corner laughing and conversing. After waiting approximately 20 minutes for another drink and to place a food order we gave up, paid our tab and went to IHOP. They were busy and we were served immediately. Take note Corner bar management.

If the food was bad it would have been worse. Apparently it was the bar tenders last day before moving the California to live his dreams because he could have cared less. I mean just absolutely awful service, attitude... just trash. So disappointing because the surrounding servers seemed really nice. I won't be back here. There are too maybe better options.

Went here tonight, and the food was amazing! Some of the most consistently delicious food I've had in a while- down to the perfect lemonade that wasn't too sweet or too tart. I highly recommend the spinach artichoke dip. It's rich, and the pita is nicely toasted and flavorful. Food seemed fairly priced also. The vibe is nice too. Wasn't too busy and had a diverse crowd of people with great throwback songs like Justin Timberlake and Luther Vandross. There were also had sack toss games, warm string lights and picnic tables on beautiful green grass outside. I deducted one star for two reasons- 1. Our server was not very present nor attentive at all. In fact, me & my boyfriend made a funny bet that gratuity was likely included in the bill based on the lack of service. We were right though we still added additional tip. He didn't check in to see if we needed anything additional. We had to catch him as he walked by avoiding eye contact every time. 2. We both added avocado to our burgers for an additional $2 each yet received one and two slivers. Not ideal. Still, I'll definitely be back because the food and ambiance were worth it.

Party of 6 on a business trip. I'm the 4th of our party to order food and 3rd of them to order a burger. The ENTIRE table RECEIVED and ATE their food before mine ever came out. I watched MULTIPLE other tables receive their food who either ordered or got here after us receive their food while I waited for a simple bacon cheese burger. My group assumed I just didn't order food so I requested to the waitress to put it in a box since the group would be ready to leave soon. I received my food 20-25 MINUTES AFTER my party finished!!! After that, we saw the waitress twice besides bringing the check... once to bring my boxed food and once to check if we were good AFTER someone from our party went get everyone drinks from the bar bc we had been waiting. She WAS absolutely amazing until it came to my food coming out. Food was delicious if hot, drinks were good, service was mostly awesome, but kitchen seemed horrible!!! Makes me with I was a GM again bc I'd go back there and see why this was happening!! My restaurant would have never gotten away with this. Its what closes a bar/restaurant!

Staff was kinda unpleasant. Not terrible but not warm and welcoming either ‍but the restaurant and outdoor area was really nice.

This place is pretty cool. The food is always good. Do NOT sign up for karaoke if you're not serious. I happened to drop in on Saturday night & it was karaoke. Those people did not play. I almost feel like they were professionals.

Had dinner here tonight. Ordered the California turkey sandwich. The bread was so dry. The turkey was shredded into tiny little pieces. The sandwich was not good at all. The menu only has a few sandwiches and some hamburgers on it. I would not recommend this restaurant. My friend got the hummus And she said it was just OK. She ordered a side of spinach and it was so bland. It looked like they threw some spinach in a cup and put it in the microwave. I hate it because I really wanted this restaurant to thrive after it reopened. I love the outdoor seating. They were also playing really loud, hard rock music that was awful. And I'm young.

The food and ambience are great and truly happy for the reopening. However, out of 3 visits, our last 2 visits have had poor wait staff service (one male and one female). 2nd visit - Male - literally dropped off menus and never returned. We ultimately asked another waitress to serve us and she was awesome. 3rd visit - Female (last night) seemed to have major attitude.

This place is located in a small revitalized area near the Porsche headquarters. I had the smash burger which was fabulous. The fries were also pretty tasty. They had live music and the service was decent. Their Old Fashioned was actually very good with craft ice. They had a decent selection of local beers as well.

This is a nice comfortable spot. Went with coworkers for lunch and must say food was decent. We had Shonda taking care of (hope I got the name right) she was super pleasant and accommodating despite them starting to get slammed from a 30 and 40 people party at lunchtime!!!! You can tell she was seasoned and loves what she is doing because she kept a smile and made sure her areas were taken care of. Thank you and hats off to her. Food choices are variety and you can find something light or filling if you want here. Outside patio and yard games. A WIN I'd say.

Marcus & Chelsea are absolutely lovely. Hapeville can be kinda (mostly) ass when it comes to having a regular spot to unwind at, but those two make coming in after a long day A JOY! It was my first time at that location & I look forward to going back!!! *Please put lights in the parking lot tho. I'm blind as a damn bat.*

Yesterday night , i enjoyed eating at corner tavern , there was a moment where i needed a bottle cap openers and my waitress andrea gladly gave me one of hers she had and let me keep it , was well appreciative

Visiting from out of town and in the mood for a burger. Asked on Yelp and this place popped up. No regrets choosing this place. My husband and I shared the Balsamic burger and ordered the Vegan Thai Brussels as an appetizer. WOW both were exceptional. The balsamic and goat cheese played well off each other on the burger. Sorry no pics...ate the food too quickly because it was so good. Cee was our waitress and her service was spot on. Excellent place to come watch your football games. I would bet everything on the menu is as good as our food. Very laid back environment with pool tables, tvs and corn hole to keep you entertained.

I wasn't happy that at 530pm in the evening that there was no fish and chips, turkey burgers or chicken tenders. Waitress was good and tried her best to offer other options.

This was the absolute worst service I have ever had. It took almost 15 minutes to get menus and It took 30 minutes to get drinks, both from the bar and soft drinks. The server was never in the dining room while the bartender stood and talked to another employee instead of pouring our beers. We ordered chips and salsa for an appetizer, that came out right before the food...45 MINUTES AFTER WE ORDERED IT. It took them 45 minutes to pour salsa and chips on a plate. Half of our food came out then a plate more 10 minutes later, another 10 minutes and the rest came out. Not only was mine cold by then, it was burned. The person who looked like a manager ignored me and never apologized, didn't help us at all. Overall I would NEVER go back. The food is mediocre at best and, again, the service was non existent. DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!

Plenty of outdoor seating! Fast service and good hot food. My first time here, coming right from a yoga class and I was HUNGRY! I was seated quickly and given a menu with many great sandwich options. I opted for the Tavern Cuban- juicy ham/pork on a sub with mustard and Swiss... warm with fries on the side. Only wish they had Rye bread and Krut(oh wait- thats a Reuben) - the "Cuban" was perfect Also wish they had dessert but besides that, it was a great Saturday lunch.

Step out to have an early dinner with friends and we decided on the Corner Tavern. The food selection was great and most of all our server ANGEL, was simply amazing. ANGEL was very accommodating and went above and beyond with his service. The BLT I must say, was one of the best I've had in a while! - ANGEL stay great !!!

This review is based on the experience not the food. My girlfriend and I came here for lunch and while they offered outside seating we chose to eat inside because their posted measures made us feel comfortable. What stood out to us was that they required you to wear your mask whenever you were not at your table. Because all the socially distance seats were taken in the main dining area we had to sit at a table in the billiard area. When we arrived we were the only in the area and later two gentlemen came to the area but to play pool. With their requirement that you have to have a mask on when not at your table it was our expectation that those playing pool would have to have a mask on since they are in direct proximity of others in the area eating. We expressed our concern to the manager Rebecca (Bebe) and her response was, "I can move you to a different table". To give you a better understanding of our disappointment is that. We are black and both the manager and gentlemen playing pool are white. Looking at the dynamics of everything it made us question how the situation would be handled if we were white. Sadly this situation is an example of the frustration in the Black Community and why so many people are protesting. Now I must say the food was great and I enjoyed my meal but my experience was very disappointing and I will not be coming back to this establishment nor would I recommend any of my family or friends of color to come here either. P.s If you do happen to visit this establishment request the section that Jackson is covering because he was an awesome server who was attentive and understanding of our frustration.

We were looking for a quick meal before our flight and actually found this place by searching for restaurants near the airport on Yelp. It turned out to be a great option because the service was really fast. Not only were we seated quickly; we could peruse the menu by QR code. They have a full bar, and such an expansive menu. There were four of us and we all ordered different kinds of burgers and sandwiches. I had the Tavern patty melt that came with pimento cheese and bacon and it was delicious. I also really loved their french fries, They were a little on the greasy side, but oh so good! My husband had the Black and Bleu burger with onion rings and he thought both items were really delicious. He said the meat tasted so fresh; it was one of the best burgers he's had in a long time. My mother had the BLT sandwich and she said it was pretty good. (I don't think she cared for the sour dough bread though, I think she just prefers the plain-old toasted white bread kind of BLT.). My daughter had the blackened chicken sandwich with fries and she said she liked the fries and the chicken sandwich was good and juicy. As I mentioned, all our food came out really quickly, and our server was friendly and came by to check on us often. She was slso quick to bring out the bill. They were moderately busy on a Tuesday afternoon but we were in and out of there in about an hour. I would highly recommend going to the Corner Tavern for a reasonably priced yummy meal if you have a little time to kill before going to the airport, or maybe if you just arrived in Atlanta and you want a place where you can order fast and have really good food!

Update 4/2024: they have still problems with waiters. There are some good ones though. We arrived when waiters were changing shifts. The waitress, who was leaving (in charge of patio), ignored us. She literally walked away from me, while she noticed me at the host stand. I had to grab menu myself, fortunately next shift arrived 10 min later and they did great job... I have been at this location twice. Each time service was below average. Waiters looked like they would like to be somewhere else. On one occasion waiter was holding his hands in his pockets while taking our order. Other than that it's a nice place, great selection of beer.

I was excited to see Corner Tavern re-open. But I won't go back any time soon. First off, they need to fire the two hostesses that refuse to seat anyone at tables and force everyone to the bar for some unexplained reason. We were a group of two, and in spite of a dozen or more tables being open, we were told it would be 20 to 25 minutes before we could sit at a table so we went to the bar where there was just one overworked but extremely friendly bartender. Secondly, there Soda machine needs to be replaced. The sodas still taste like crap as they did last year before they unexpectedly shut down. Third, the prices on the new menu are just out of control. For food that isn't special by any means, the prices are now just astronomical. Fourth-- and most importantly-- the kitchen took 45 minutes to bring out a quesadilla and a BLT. Come on, man? That's insane. Not one apology or mention. Bartender kept looking over at our empty space where food would be but never said a word. I get an hour for lunch. I wound up taking two in order to eat here. Finally, after slow kitchen service and mediocre overpriced food, their new policy of a mandatory 20% minimum tip is just over the top annoying. You don't trust me to tip right? Well, I don't trust you to provide me lunch again. Goodbye Corner Tavern, and good luck surviving round two.

My colleague and I had a quality dinner at the Corner Tavern. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our meal. The atmosphere is inviting with a laid back bar feel. The menu is large and their are plenty of interesting options. I started with the Fried Pickles and really enjoyed them. They were very lightly fried which is rare from a bar! For my dinner, I went with the Truffle Burger and tator tots. The food was much better than we expected after seeing the average reviews. The burger was cooked a little unevenly but nothing to complain about because it was full of flavor. The tator tots were as expected, but it would be cool if they added some type of seasoning or something to them to stand apart. Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience and would definitely come back. The staff took great care of us and the food was above average.

Foods all right but the service is still horrible. I don't know why they can't get their act together.
