Boston-Area Restaurant Openings, Updated Weekly (Winter 2020) | Eater Boston

"A Cajun-style seafood concept centered on boil bags where diners choose seafood, sauce/spice level, and starch sides (noodles, potatoes), supplemented by appetizers like crab cakes and po’ boys and tropical cocktails—designed for hands-on, shareable seafood dining." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Everything is so fresh!! Snow crab had lots of meat. Great service. They even give free food sometimes. Make sure to check out the owner's daughter's paintings--she's an amazing artist. Would definitely come again!

My favorite Cajun seafood spot of all time. They have consistently produced good, delicious food and customer service. I decided to be spontaneous and tried fried ice cream. They didn’t disappoint. 10/10 Thanks guys keep up the great service!

My family and I came to Happy Crab craving a seafood boil bags… this restaurant did not disappoint whatsoever. Family owned and operated, delicious and quick service. We made our own seafood boil bags and had three sauces to choose from: I picked the Cajun spicy, but my daughter and husband choose garlic butter and each was delicious. The menu offered a wide variety and is outlined in a way that is easy to read and understand. Not to mention the flavored lemonades are delicious. I got the passion fruit one and my daughter the pineapple. We will most definitely be back soon! Thank you Happy Crab!

This place is horrible for a seafood boil. They charge for 1/2 shrimp, received only 6 shrimp, not even 1/4 pound. The same with the crab legs, gave me 1 small cluster. The corn was 1/2 cob, 1 potato cut into 4 and they skimped on the sauce, then charged $5 for extra sauce. Now I know why they were empty

it was the worst experience on my anniversary day Today, I dined at happy crab and had an unfortunately disappointing experience with their seafood offerings. The calamari I ordered as an appetizer was overcooked and rubbery, making it nearly impossible to chew. It lacked the tender texture that good calamari should have, and the accompanying dipping sauce did little to salvage the dish. The boil bag didn’t have much sea fruit few of mussels and very tiny crab legs with their crab legs were practically empty, with hardly any meat inside.. To make matters worse, the staff ( lady with short hair)kept pushing me to add more items to my order to charged an additional $15. I was shocked to find extra charges on my bill. Despite only ordering two drinks, I was charged an additional $22, meanwhile the cost of the drink is $5.95 for a Mr. Ginger soft drink. I paid cash and regret not to debate her and asked why! It was waste of money and time "Why do I need to pay more tax if I bought the meal on Groupon and have already paid the tax? And can you explain how two drinks that cost $5.95 each end up being charged $22? Is the tax $10on $12? That's ridiculous. You are trying to steal from me and still acting like the victim." Why when I paid you cash, didn’t give me my receipt???????

Quick easy place to get your seafood boil fix. Vickie was nice served as our waitress and bartender. Fast & efficient. More like a brick&mortar kind of place overall convenient. Easy to get to parking available on the street bus stop right in front of establishment.

We had such fun! The seafood was delicious, as were the drinks and fried ice cream. The owner, Vicky, was a phenomenal host. Her warmth and humor added to the meal. My husband had Cajun clams and scallops, and I had catfish and steamed gyoza. This was out first visit and we will definitely be back!
