Happy Wine Calle 8 is a cozy wine bar and restaurant in Little Havana that’s been around for over 18 years and it shows. The moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by walls of wine, warm lighting, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe. It’s no wonder The New York Times named it one of the top 25 restaurants in the country. I started with a glass of red wine and their croquetas crispy, creamy, and packed with flavor. Then came the gazpacho, super refreshing with bold tomato and garlic notes. For my main dish, I tried the Mediterranean dorada with creamy risotto, and it honestly blew me away. The fish was cooked just right, and the risotto was rich and perfectly balanced. To end, I had a profiterol with Porto wine light, sweet, and such a satisfying finish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about both the wine and food. You can feel the love they put into the place, especially with the owners often walking around checking on guests. If you’re into good food, great wine, and local spots with real character, this one’s a must.

I love this place; my favorite restaurant / bar in Miami. Food is great (surprisingly good for a wine bar), music / ambiance is awesome and service is super (best is Thaimi)! One of the best values in town…highly recommended!

The place is a vibe…really embodies what Calle ocho is really about…amazing food, wine, music and friends. The staff goes over and beyond expectations especially Thais. She’s really amazing and makes sure that you’re taken care of. Food is super delicious. All the wines you can possibly imagine to choose from. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re in town.

Good music, good food and good service. Our server was Taymi and she has served us before and is a delight to deal with. She is helpful with suggestions, efficient and friendly. There was wine tasting going on and it was enjoyable. We ordered boquerones $12 and my only complaint is that they serve them with only 2 small pieces of bread. Additional bread will cost you. The dates wrapped in bacon with ricotta were delicious and so were the squash blossoms. Definitely a place to go back to. Thank you !

Happy Wine has a great vibe. There was live music and delicious wine & bites. We enjoyed 3 different bottles, charcuterie, and more. I could have stayed there all day. My partner and I went with our friend who is a sommelier & it contributed to an amazing experience there . We were a bit disappointed with our waiter experience because we felt like they were not very attentive. For the last bottle we chose , we needed 3 flute glasses and they only brought us two when we were a party of three. Then they disappeared and we hadn't seen them in a while and when they came back, they said they close in a few minutes which was strange because we chose the bottle at least an hour before closing. We felt a bit uncomfortable and rushed considering we're purchasing three bottles and a multitude of food dishes. It was most frustrating because there were many tables, actively drinking bottles of wine, celebrating, birthdays, and not being closed out of their tabs. Other than that strange moment, we liked the food and LOVED the wine offerings. I would recommend visiting . I would give it five stars except the Customer Service experience was something to be desired and the reason we had such a great experience in the first place was because we had someone helping us navigate the wall of wines .

Prices are insane, for the quality and the amount of food and service they provide !!!, I was one of many people that opened this place . I lived the best time of the authentic Happy Wine. I know what quality ,portions , ambience and service they had . I understand that prices go up and it seems that ppl are normalizing to pay more to get less and less:. Less quality , less food ,getting over charged for a Cork fee, have to wait longer for 2 squares of bread and at the end they include the tip on the bill. Are you kidding me!! What will be the insensitive for a server to provide good services if they no longer have to work for a tip? Miami has lots of great places with views , ambience quality of food where providing customer service is their card of presentation .For the amount of money you end up spend at this place . For this reasons not longer Happy wine overpriced wine .

This is a fun place to grab lunch, a glass of wine or dinner. The food is delicious, see the pictures attached. The young lady that waited on us this afternoon was great. She also informed us that on Tuesday's at 6:30 pm they have wine tastings, certainly a future visit. Cheers

Talk about a happening place, I was not expecting this place to be packed when I walked in on a Thursday evening,, but it was and made for an entertaining and lively night. Luckily my friend and I were able to score 2 seats at the bar and order drinks and bites while enjoying the Flamenco performance going on that evening, which I later saw on the menu that from Tuesday to Sunday starting at 7 they have live music. We decided to order The Croquetas con caviar which paired nicely with our glass of Moët. Afterwards I also ordered a glass of Italian red wine they were featuring that night, well balanced just like I like my reds. It was just enough food and drinks to keep us entertained while catching up and enjoying the show. Easy and cool place to meet up and hang out for some hours.

Sat at the bar for happy hour on a weekday, the parking is adequate the chorizon picante with honey was our favorite of the 4 items ordered, red sangria was OK. Got charged $4 for 4 small pieces of bread NOT OK, also there are no patatas brava at this spanish tapas place. Service and ambiance were good. I rate about 3.5.

100/10!! Such a good foodie spot! It was truly an amazing experience! The dishes were tapas style which we all shared. Everything was so delicious and authentic. The service was also 10/10 very attentive and they offered good recommendations. They have a wide range of wine selections. & the offer wine tastings for 25$ on Tuesday nights. Definitely looking forward to coming back here.

Happy wine has been a favorite of mine, I would come here with family and their paninis are spectacular, their wine selection is even better and the service is unmatched, I walk in and they treat us by first name. An amazing place to hang out or even have a business meeting, truly feels like home!

Food is decent but the performer on Saturday, April 19th was horrible. I noticed people's faces too, totally unhappy about it. I think I won't be back for a long while.

My husband and I really like this place we have been here like 4 times. They have live music which makes the atmosphere even better. They have a huge selection of wines they range from $10 bucks per bottle and up, lots to choose from do keep in mind they charge an opening and serving fee per bottle I think $10 per bottle. The food is really good. Some plates can be pricey for the portions. The paninis are excellent and great priced. The chicken sandwich is delicious also the mixed bored is great to share while enjoying your wine. They also have happy hour but we have never made it. We would definitely keep coming back, oh yeah and the staff are really friendly.

Surely a wine lovers dream. You can pop in here and take a bottle(s) to go or dine in and enjoy a bottle with a corkage. Wide selection of food as well to chose from. I enjoyed the live music tonight and the food was pretty good! Service was attentive. It's a nice spot in an unassuming location. Appreciated the free parking in the back.

So sad... first time at this little local spot. So cute and quaint. But we walked in at 6, place is empty and they tell us we can sit you but we have reservations at 815. We ordered a few tapas and entrees and bottles of wine. Before 8 the server brings the check such was over three hundred dollars and kindly asks us to leave. But most tables are empty waiting for the reservations to arrive. The music was balads, poorly sung, which h is fun if you're buzzed and know all the words. I would not return here. If you e ever been to Spain you would know they would never treat their guests this way. Of all the tables were full and the reserved guests had arrived, I would understand but it was such a lack of courtesy and with so many places in Miami, why return here.

The wine experience you need! It is part wine shop part Spanish tapas restaurant part live Spanish entertainment and all fun! Make sure to make a reservation especially if with a group. You park it at your table, and select the wine out of the bottles and bottles adorning the walls. Then order some yummy tapas, my favorite was the cherry pepper and cheese amazing! Then sit back talk with friends and listen to the Spanish music and great MCs who walk around and get everyone to dance. Warning you may get pretty happy (buzzed) as it's all too easy to order more wine and the amazing staff keeps your glass full!

Was recently recommended this place and fell in love with it! All of the food was amazing. The live performers were super entertaining and very talented. My friends and I also shared a pitcher of sangria and it was delicious. The hostess initially sat us upstairs because downstairs was very full, but later came upstairs to suggest us to move downstairs. Very thoughtful! The service was great. The dessert was also delicious. 10/10

We have been coming here for years always a good time. The menu has evolved from tapas To dinner. Recently my Achilles heel was added - a burger- it has been on the menu for a bit but I was not sure if I wanted. To have a burger at a wine/tapas place. Surprise surprise. I think it is the best burger I have had in a while - hot tender and juicy.! Try it guys !!!!

Happy Wine has great food and an extensive selection of wines and sparkling. the service is excellent. The food is served within a very reasonable time. The Tablas are great for sharing and reasonably priced. Also recommend the Seafood Risotto. Its better to make reservation specially for groups as it get full on Fridays and Saturdays. The live entertainment plays a mix of music that will move you to want to dance. Highly recommend! Diana

You better call and make Reservations to have get a truly Happy Wine experience so you can get a table by the stage. They have different gigs during the week . But the best part of this place is the Wine Selection and the quality food . They even have Happy Hour for you EARLY BIRDS that like to get a great deal. I started with a Tuna Tartare that was delicious with some Mango mixed in that goes great with the fresh chips . We then ordered a crowd favorite wine called Bacon .... Not pigs were Involved making this wine And then paired it with a 16 oz Angus Steak and decided to also order the Seafood Risotto. I highly recommend these choices if you want a Happy Ending..... to your night !

Happy Wine Happy Time! Had to think back on this one but as my memory recalls , I discovered HW many years ago when its original owner a Frenchman Phillipe and his Cuban wife took over a former 7-11 spot not too far from this location. Their crispy and flavorful chicken sandwiches were out of this world. Our boss would order them weekly for lunch and we all loved them. They've expanded and evolved and all it's proprietors and patrons are still Happy after all these years! Good Food, Wine and a gathering place with positive vibes! I'm feeling it's blessed! Thank you Happy Wine for another wonderful evening!

First time visiting here and it was awesome! Great customer service, food, wine, ambiance and live music. I have our next visit planned with a few friends as soon as Thanksgiving festivities are over. Las croquetas de queso (cheese croquettes) son lo maximo. Uy que delicia. My only question: How come I had never been here before? Coming back as soon as possible and planning on becoming regulars. Now it's your turn.

We had such a fun night here! This seems like it is a wine store by day, but it turns into a party at night. There were 2 seatings when we went on a Friday night (one at 6pm and one at 8:30pm), and the live music starts at 7pm. We took the 6pm reservation because we were told the music would begin then. The good news is, we were not kicked out by 8:30pm (probably because we had already ordered 3 bottles and a buncha food by then) and were able to enjoy the music all night! We had a fantastic experience, thank you to our server, and the musicians for making it fun! FYI: It is a mostly spanish speaking establishment, but you can always point at menu items, or physically pick out your own bottle from the selection all around the restaurant

Came in for the first time for a tasting event. They did a great job social distancing the tables of 4 and 2. They came around and poured samples of 10 different wines and 3 different dishes. The wines were good quality and spanned across varietals and vintages, so it was a fantastic variety that was satisfying for wine novices and oenophiles alike! The food was great and I especially liked the albóndiga w/the goat cheese mousse & the arroz negro w/mixed calamari and nicely sized shrimp. It was a fun, informative, and great value event handled well during the pandemic and I would definitely do another one! They also have great wine selections in-store. A friend got a fantastic 2015 Malbec for an amazing price!

Experiencing food in such a different way due to corona has really put things in perspective, but I am grateful for places like Happy Wine! Not only is their food delicious, but I love how they put a special note on the delivery bag for me! Now their croquetas are a must! And even if you're not vegetarian, their paella is ridiculously good! I honestly can't wait to be able to go to sit down and experience this fully in house dining.

Went by Happy Wine last night for a wine tasting and it was so much fun! First of all, you got to taste 6 wines and have sample of pata negra jamon all for $10! All the wines pretty good and jamon was delish! Happy Wine is a chill place to have some fun! The staff was very friendly and easy going. They also had live Spanish music, which I believe they have Fridays and Saturdays. We also tried out the cheese and prosciutto croquetas. Both flavors were great! If you wanna have some wine and tapas at a chill place, this is it! I will say if you're looking for impeccable service, go elsewhere because everyone here is laid back and thats just the general vibe! We had a fun time here and we will be back!

Great neighborhood wine bar! They have great lunch specials and a pretty decent happy hour! All the tapas we've ordered have been great... from the hummus to the croquettes, calamari and tablas and let's not forget the delish paninis. They also have live music at night I believe Thursday through Saturday

So glad we found this place! Get the Serrano ham and manchego, so delicious. Came with warm bread and the tastiest olives. I love the option to pick out a bottle of wine for a reasonable corking fee of $6 The staff are great here, they made us feel welcomed and several people that worked there chatted with us. Great happy hour too! My favorite was the Moët special from 5-8. My boyfriend and I visit the area often and we're so happy to have found this spot.

Been here many times but today I got to enjoy a flamenco show performed by my friend Salvador and his guitarist and dancer and got to spend time with his wife and also friend Iri. I've been telling my sister who introduced me to this little hidden gem for us to visit on a Thursday night so she'd get to meet them as well. Tonight was that night and we had a blast but also got to try a few other menu items I've never tried here. We got cod fish croquetas, my usual pulpo a la gallega, grilled octopus, tostones topped with shrimp and the chistorras that I just love here. Only thing I hadn't tasted before was the grilled octopus and I just loved everything about it but especially that sauce on the side. My octopus a la gallega is always to die for and cooked to perfection. Got me a bottle of Moët when I arrived and then a few glasses of Sauvignon Blanc to pair with food. I've loved this little joint since the first time I came with sis last year. Vibes are always immaculate and most patrons mingle and socialize with one another so it feels like a family in there and that's a bonus in my book. Definitely recommend especially for the excellent wine selection, delicious food and amazing vibes and live music.

Sitting in a shop surrounded by hundreds of wines with accessible charcuterie it is absolutely impossible to not be happy. I can totally understand why this shop is called Happy Wine. Bravo. Happy Wine has been a staple in Miami for as long as I was legally allowed to uncork a bottle. I can't really remember wine-ing in Miami without it and I wouldn't want it any other way. If you've visited Happy Wine once or 100 times - you've likely seen owner JC running around teaching people about their next new favorite wine. Need a wine on a budget? He's got you. Want to splurge? He's got you. Want to try something different? He'll figure it out for you. He's so dedicated to great customer service, and to finding the best wines for his guests. I was inspired to write this review because of #ThankYouThursday because a 2020 without wine truly would be impossible. I've uncorked more bottles than I care to admit but many of them have been from Happy Wine. The most recent visit was to procure a case of wine for the house. My parents like french wines, and the way we drink wine I like to spend less than $10 a bottle for every day wine. JC suggested an AMAZING French white. It's called Capitelles des fermes and is a mix of Chardonnay, Sauv Blanc and Vermentino. Truly divine. We also picked up a Côtes du Rhône which was fab. With a case discount I spent under $115 for 12 bottles of wine which is around $9.50 / bottle if my math is correct. Don't quote me on math, but definitely believe me when I say Happy Wine is great. As the holidays approach and you celebrate safely, make sure wine is near. Instead of picking up wine at a big chain- support a smaller shop like Happy Wine. It makes the biggest impact on a small business owner and you still leave with what you wanted - WINE! Truly a beautiful thing!

Great service & great staff. Always glad to be back here. And the prices are very very good and on top of that when You buy a box of wine, you receive a 10% discount . I always Learn about wine when I visit, never fails!!

I came the first time to happy wine about 3 months ago, and after that I believe I've came 3+ times after that, every time I've came here I have been greeted immediately at the door and asked if I wanted a seat.... They have a large selection of wine that you can physically pick up, I think every wall in the place has bottles and bottles of wine( it's like I'm in heaven! ) did I die and go to heaven? My boyfriend and I always have 1 or 2 bottles of wine, and always end up taking one to go to drink at home. I've had the charcuterie board before( I think every single one that they have on the menu) and they are very filling, delicious and fresh.

I can't never get enough of this place, the music and the food makes it amazing. Tlbut the best thing I have experienced over the years is that is family owned and operated, the owners are always there to assist with questions on wine and food. Gotta love the Saturday Paella lunch and Music, is amazing

Off to a great start! The owner, Johana, gave my wife and I a very warm welcome. Our order for appetizers was quickly taken, along with the uncorking if a delicious bottle of wine. I'll check back with you later... Ok.. it's later now: The pork belly was out of this world! Lenora's Prosciutto Panini was the perfect blend of crispy crust and soft interior.
