Fantastic little burger place. I would describe it as a little whole in the wall with a diner feel. The double cheeseburger with caramelized onions was cooked perfectly and very juicy. The chicken parm sliders were amazing. My son loved his little burger sliders. The tots were cooked perfectly. I’d love to go back and give some of the more gourmet burgers a try. The servers were very friendly and helpful.

These burgers pack a serious punch in the flavor department!! I went with the Sonoran burger and it was juicy,flavorful and cooked to perfection!! I also had the onion rings and they were fried just right with an amazing crunch to them. It’s a bit pricey but I think it was worth every penny! It’s kind of a hidden gem but a local favorite! I highly recommend stopping by for your next burger craving! You will not be disappointed!

Happy's Hamburgers in Scottsdale/Paradise Valley is a culinary delight! The locally owned spot radiates genuine care for its customers from the moment you enter. Not something I would expect to see in Scottsdale, Arizona. But, I am glad I stopped. While they promote a slider burger I decided on the 1/4 pound Bacon mushroom Swiss burger. It was delicious. I opted for tater tots over French fries and the portion was more than I can consume. I also selected to try the root beer float and it was great! It actually was served in a silver shake mixer. Erika was GREAT!

Fantastic hamburgers!! And amazing sweet potato fries and regular fries. Perfectly crisp fries. And the regular fries have great spices in them! And 10 different sauces to choose from to dip or put on your burger. For the traditional double and it was fantastic. Friend got the mushroom Swiss - also fantastic. Service top notch! Small space. So awesome. Delicious burgers.

Love love this place. I ordered people a bacon Mushroom Swiss burger, which was to die for The Onion rings, were cooked to a crisp and one of my favorites, the music that they play from the jukebox is nothing but oldies, and I would have to say, that's what made me Post a great review about this place. The service was great as well. I would have to say they went above and beyond to make sure that we had our food hot and fresh, and they were very attentive pricing on here as well. Is perfect great for the pockets. We'll return as many chances I get!

Absolutely no complaints! Fun place, was told on the way in by these other visitors that they heard it was the best burgers in Scottsdale and the burgers were great! My husband had the Classic Double (he loved it, sort In n' Out vibes), my 10y/o had the Cheese Burger Sliders (loved them, wish he had gotten 4 instead of 2), and I had the Chicken Parm Sliders (they were fantastic and filling). My 13y/o had a Hotdog (wasn't impressed), so definitely go for the Burgers.

Great simple small diner. Good double,triple smash burgers. With grilled onions. (Tallow) you know if you know. Good service.

Every time we come here I can't believe how great it is. No frills, no gimmicks, no advertising. Just amazing food with a classic diner vibe. Had the double cheeseburger smash burger and it was flawless. I think I finished it in about 90 seconds. I couldn't help myself. The tater tots were cooked crispy and were the perfect compliment to the smash burger. I washed it all down with a root beer float and then went straight to my food coma. The service here is always impeccable and I highly recommend it if you've never been. You won't be disappointed.

Best hamburgers in the Valley! Love the diner vibes, small Mom & Pop family owned. When I'm in the mood for a classic cheeseburger, Happy's is the best. Service is great. Bathrooms could use a renovation, but are clean considering that.

Was in a hurry and thought this was a fast food spot but it's a sit down diner. Got 4 sliders. They are so small and expensive. It came on a cute board though. Got the hash browns and they were good, some were crispy.

This was an "okay" place. Based in some of the reviews I was expecting a little more. The fries were of the pre frozen variety not fresh hand cut. This may have changed at some point n the past. The sliders were tasty and I liked the steamed buns but the quantity of produce was unbalanced. There was less than half a teaspoon of grill onion (?) that was so finely sliced and minced as to be lost on small quantity of meat. The lettuce and pickles were served in the plate if you don't like pickle juice on your lettuce, mention that ahead of time. The service was pleasant but our initial order was mixed up. One basket of fries was sufficient for the two of us. I did like the cute interior and the music.

I allways want to try this place it because it allways busy at lunch time so I finally got in there nothing special it just a dinner burger at a good price bread needs work little dried out cheese wasn't melted next time I'll try it after lunch when there not so busy see if it better

Came by to load up on calories after a 9/11 memorial climb. It was the perfect choice. Location is great. Service was superior. Our server noticed I was limping around and treated us to an extra milkshake. Which was delicious (chocolate caramel/Rolo). Ambiance is chill-reminded me of a small, old-fashioned diner, complete with a juke box. We had the sliders (perfect for my 9y0), the AZ burger and the happy kicker burger. The AZ burger was great. Only complaint is that the burger is so juicy, it almost immediately made my bottom bun soggy. But still delicious. The Happy kicker burger was spicy and messy but delicious. $16 for a burger still shocks me a bit, but they came with fries/tots (delicious) and it was a lot of food. I could've shared, had I not just burned 1,000 calories. I would definitely return.

Have been wanting to try out Happy's for a while now and we finally made it in! The place is a small restaurant with a diner feel and the food was fantastic! We had a great server, her name was Erica, and she took care of us while we were there eating. We got 2 cheeseburgers and the chili cheese fries and then a chocolate shake. Everything came out hot and fresh and was 10/10! We are looking forward to coming back again soon. Thank you!

Little hole in the wall. Been there for four years. I ordered the veggie burger with fries. It was really good. I definitely will be coming back. My daughter, who loves cheeseburgers and is not easily pleased, had the double cheeseburger and loved it. She says she will be coming back. They are very generous with the fries.

Go in and experience Happy's Hamburgers! This place is as incredible as you hear it is. We went here and ordered some burgers, fries, tots and classic Coca-Colas that did not disappoint! The ambiance in this place is incredible. It literally feels like you went back in time to an old-school burger restaurant with the black and white checkerboard floor and the jukebox they have. Loved it! Food came out HOT and tasted delicious! Loved the fries, the burgers (and steamed buns) and service was quick and friendly. I'll definitely be back to try the chilidogs and more burgers! They also have a wide variety of sauces you can get lost in!

3 times best hamburger in Arizona! Happy's is located in Scottsdale Arizona, I live in Tucson, Arizona. I take several trips a year to the Phoenix area and Happy's Hamburgers is my go to meal before I leave. I highly recommend the Sonoran Burger, big, juicy, flavorful, well seasoned, a nice green chili in the middle. Tots, fries and onion rings are amazing and not over cooked. Highly recommend the "un-happy" dipping sauce, a delightful tingle for your taste buds. The milk shakes are amazing. So many flavor possibilities, I have had the fruity pebble shake, amazing as the fruity pebbles stay crispy the whole time. Banana Oreo, peanut butter, and my go to shake peanut butter banana. Go out on a limb and create your own. The staff are for the most part very friendly, can get a little edgy if they are really busy, which honestly I am the Sam way so I don't mind. Dave the owner, super cool dude and his daughter is a sweetheart. The kitchen staff has always been friendly as well, they bring out orders when things are busy. Over all a good team environment. I am HAPPY to LOVE Happy's Hamburgers!

Unfortunately disappointed in this cute little hamburger joint. It has a 50s vibe, super old-fashioned menu board above the counter, old jukebox (not working?), and fun art on the walls. I spent $18.50 on a double cheeseburger and a shake. The girl at the counter assumed To Go, though I didn't say that. The hamburger was wrapped incredibly tightly and squished down to nothing. The burger was fine, but the presentation really ruined it. I was just about done with it when the girl realized she hadn't given me the shake. She whipped it up and brought me the whole can. It was fine, but could have been more chocolatey. I didn't ask for to go, I got a squished burger and a bunch of packets of mustard ketchup and relish and a meh chocolate shake. IMO you are better off finding better service and burgers than at Happys Hamburgers .

Love this place. Been a number of times and take friends. Yesterday afternoon took friends and had the usual excellent service, great sides (fries, tots and rings). Burgers are usually great - not yesterday. My Medium rare burger and our friends medium burgers all came charred beyond recognition- no moisture left in the meat, and had a thick burned layer on one side. Anyone would know they burned it! All they needed to do was start over after they burned them. Very dumb move to serve them as not everyone is predisposed to like the place like us. Will be back unless it happens again.

How have I missed this great little hamburger stand in all my years in the north east valley? Well a coupon mailer led me here for lunch with husband and giant college boy. Cute little place with high tops and booths in classic diner colors. Small breezeway for outside seating and restrooms down the hall. Bubbly server brought menus and drinks right away. We ordered two double cheese burgers and one classic half pound Arizona burger with fries. Son was thrilled with the quality of his half pound perfectly medium thick burger, piled high with thick bacon, giant onion rings and cheddar. The bun lost structural integrity before he was halfway done, perhaps from the added BBQ sauce. Undeterred, he flipped it all over and finished quickly, then required a bath. I ordered lettuce wrapped double cheeseburger and it's really just a pile of lettuce shreds. Server suggested extra pickles and that was great, one for literally every bite! I smothered the two crispy edged thin patties and gooey cheese lettuce pile with ketchup and mustard, and used the thoughtfully provided knife and fork. Excellent smash burger! Husband had his without grilled onions and he ate the bun, a soft but toasted lovely small one. Many drink refills, and even an offer for to go cups from our super server gal. So it was a bit hit, and we plan to bring the other two college boys here over winter break!

The service and food were amazing! They seem to be a little lower staffed which means if the shop is busy it might take a little longer to get your food, however the burgers are worth the wait. The burgers came out undercooked, but the waitress was very kind and made it right immediately! I've never had any problems in the past either, though appreciated the help. Overall we loved the burgers and tots!

Tuesday lunch. Place is kind of old school - not fancy. Service is fast and friendly. The menu contains standard burgers plus a bunch of specialty burgers. I opted for a standard burger (cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion). Slightly crusty and a touch of salt. Good patty. The bun was soft. The fries were plentiful and good. Crispy, but needed a pinch of salt. There are multiple sauces available as well. The fry sauce was good.

There's a reason it's called Happy's. I walked away happy and fat & sassy. What a great place for a fabulous burger. I had the Sonoran burger. It was big, filling and great tasting - everything about it. I also opted for the onion rings. It's the way to go. Service was great. This is a great place for visitors and locals alike, especially if you enjoy a great hamburger. #DukeOfEats

INCREDIBLE! My boyfriend and I came here the other night and we were both left speechless. The service was great, atmosphere was cozy and quaint. We ordered: sliders with cheese, a double cheeseburger, coney fries, a vanilla malt with Cinnamon Toast Crunch *try this combo*. Then, we both decided we still had a little room and wanted to try their hot dogs - so we split one, we asked for no onions because my boyfriend doesn't like them and it came with onions -- no big deal, he was picking them off. The employee asked if we wanted it remade and we declined and they did it anyways! It was not necessary, but its that extra attention to detail that made it really sweet of her. So we choked them both down ;). I can't wait to go back!!!

Hoooooly! Cooowww! That old school diner feel with updated and old school jams bring the vibe! The server was super nice and we even got to see one of the cooks, also very friendly. These burgers are awesome, cooked to perfection, juicy and delicious. The tots and onion rings are also lit! This is one of may fav traditional burgers in the county.

The service was great! One of the owners waited on us and shared the story. I love that it's a family owned and run business!! Besides the personalized service, the food was fantastic. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the tater tots were the crispiest I think I have ever had (in a good way). We had the Happy Special and the Pizza Burger. They have some special sauces that we were able to sample. The jalapeno ketchup was the favorite. Definitely recommend for a great quality burger.

It's overrated. I showed up before they closed happy they were still open. While looking at the menu, the cashier says I have two minutes but says nothing to people that come in after me allowing them to take their time. My burger arrived burnt and you could taste the grease in the tater tots that were somewhat hard. I can't believe I drove 20 minutes for this when I could have just gone to In N Out five minutes away from my house. The floor was grossly sticky while I waited for my food. The only thing I really liked was they served coke products.

This is now the second time I've come to grab a quick burger and this place isn't open by 10. I'm not sure if they for new hours or something but I guess I'll just have to drop by another time and see if it's open.

Happy's definitely live's up ti their name ., the whole family were all impressed . Sonora burger , double cheese burger , mushroom bacon burger, & slider's for the boys .. and might I add ( to die for milk shakes) we all left full & happy we choose this gem ..

My new favorite burger spot. Service and food was just what you want from a good old fashioned diner. No fusion pretense. No over the top preparation. Looking forward to going back.

I ordered a rare Ultimate Burger. This is what I got. Absolutely inedible and the fries were soggy. They got 3 parts of my order wrong. I had it sent back once, still came back wrong. Even if they had gotten it correct on the 4th try, it'd still be disgusting. The meat tasted very... not fresh. It was flavorless despite drowning in grease. No shape, just seemingly old beef thrown on a stove. I have a lot more pics and feedback (including service) I'll edit with but overall this was the grossest place I've ever been. Service sucked but I want my money back. I literally had to spit out my burger and the server didn't comp it even after asking what wrong. She knew my plate was untouched and I was dissatisfied. I do think a health inspection is in order and I'd love to see the credentials of some of their "awards". Like I want contact info of the supposed places because I allegedly don't believe them. Whatsoever. I have evidence for my accusations. Places I'd rather go for a burger nearby: -Hopdoddy -nightowl az pizza -thirsty Lion I have other recommendations I'm waiting on citations for whom supposedly awarded them. I'll keep y'all posted with emails and replies. This place was dog food.

Have been here several times. The initial experience was always good with high prices but decent food to back it up. Nowadays the burgers as well as the hot dogs seem like the terrible McDee's burgers across the road. The caramelized onions were burnt crisp, the hot dog was cold and partially cooked and on top of that the kids that man the front do not project the same sense of service and friendliness that Happy burger was known for. One extra star for being a mom-and pop store and for the early good memories.

Happy's Hamburgers are outright delicious. In fact, they are probably the most classically delicious burger you can get. Your order arrives hot off the grill. This means your burger and fries might not arrive at quite the same time, but they'll both be hot. Take my advice. On your first trip to Happy's order a classic Double or Triple burger. You need to experience the perfection of a classic no frills burger. You need to know the high quality of their classic product. These burgers are perfect without a bunch of special toppings. Once you experience the perfect simple burger, and on your second visit, then you can jazz up the burger with bacon, or avocado, or special sauces. But on your first visit just let yourself experience how good a classic burger can be.

This authentic burger joint is a refreshing experience compared to any of the cost-optimized chains. The taste of the most basic variant, double cheese burger was fantastic, with authentic, home-made style; crispy, irregular edge of the beef patties and caramelized onion were enjoyable. Also, the fries were just about as perfect they can be. The menu had also a few other styles and items apart from burgers. The small place itself with perhaps a bit messy and weared-out interior reminds an image of the ones in 50s, which complements adequately the journey; anything more sleek and modern would simply destroy its harmony in this case. Friendly service. Definitely, will come back soon again.

This spot is totally worth a drive for their delicious burgers. Small burger, joint with excellent customer service and excellent burgers. Will definitely be back!

Five of us ordered burgers; good meat texture cooked to a nice juicy medium, but lacked much flavor even with Green Chilis on top; fries were OK, drinks good, service was excellent and quick. Love the ambience and wish the food knocked me out but its a notch above average.

This is a nice small diner with a few outdoor seats. Service is somewhat slow, but the food is absolutely fantastic. They got a large variety of burgers and sliders and sides. They even have hot dogs. Both my crony and I got an ultimate burger with tater tots. I also bought a chili dog and he got a Scottsdale dog. We were able to bring some food home and our total bill came out to $57.84 (includes tax and tip). The burgers have large meat patties and the chili dog has so much chili and cheese that it's practically overflowing.

Trust me, this little "hidden gem" has THE BEST burger is Scottsdale! Doesn't seem like the best area, but the burgers can't be beat! Staff is so sweet-Mikayla and Erica are both so friendly and always remember us! We LOVE Happys!!

Burgers are good, no issues there. I like the authentic diner feel to the place. My only issue is the cleanliness. I'm no neat freak, but the same guy (very nice) was working both the register up front and the grill in back. He was hustling. Doing a great job. But there was no washing in between transactions. That aside, this is a Scottsdale favorite although I believe there was an ownership change a handful of years back. $16 for a double cheeseburger, tater tots and a drink. You definitely won't leave hungry, but dine at your own discretion.

What a fun place to go in North Scottsdale if you like to get yourself a smash burger then try out happy burgers kind of a 50 themed restaurant nice and easy parking. Great menu. We ordered a couple burgers, onion rings, french fries and a salad .my wife loved the tater tots. I ordered a milkshake and was the only thing I really didn't care much for not sure what kind of ice cream they use. Maybe something different would be better. When in North Scottsdale check out happy burgers love to see a small business like this thrive.

This was my first and last visit... Makayla was the best part of the experience. Smashed double burgers along with fried onions were burnt. Cold food was put in the same bag with the hot. I had M change before I left. Cheesecake was terrible. Total waste of almost $40.00. Dawn Scottsdale McCormick Ranch.

What a great burger spot! We placed a to go order over the phone for pickup and it was done within 10 minutes. The server who rung up our order was friendly and told us a bit about the place since it was our first time. I got the Sonoran burger which was phenomenal. So much flavor and perfectly cooked. Got the fries as my side and you've got to try the jalapeño ketchup with it. We also got the Classic Arizona Burger and the house Caesar salad with grilled chicken breast. My mother-in-law and my husband loved what they got! We'll definitely go back and try more of their menu. Highly recommend this place!

Easy 5 stars. The chicken parm sliders were absolutely delicious. The Sonoran burger was equally as good. Both would be ordered again. Seemed to get my take-out order fast enough. Fries were just fries, good but not a standout. Looks like a diner inside which is cool to me. Waitress was working hard. I will definitely come back.

The food was awesome. The chili dog had no bean chili, my favorite. The chicken tenders were lightly coated and not greasy. The owner came over and welcomed us. A great family owned place. I highly recommend it.

Burgers and mozzarella sticks were fabulous! These are smash burgers so the smallest is a double patty, which was perfect for me! Just the right amount!

The food was A-MA-ZING!!!!!!! First time here and the prices are not bad. The tots and fries I will soooooo come back The workers there are all so nice and helpful !!! The atmosphere there makes you feel like you're in a diner which I love that feels. you won't be disappointed

I did a quick call in from my resort and picked up and double Happy Burger to see what the hype is about around town. I second all reviews the burger was cooked to perfection as ordered and had a good tasting bun. I also ordered the happy sauce and ketchup, pretty good. The restaurant was also clean and reminds you of a diner but very clean! The little time I was there, I was impressed with that and the cashier's personality. She even had a suggestion around town once I asked. Thanks!

We loved Happys, but then it got popular (happy for their business) but the prices have been raised and it's always packed. No longer our go to, but if you have time to wait and treat yourself the food is amazing

Great spot with awesome service and a great selection of American diner food! The interior has a classic diner vibe and even has a couple TVs as well. Upon entering the restaurant, the woman helping us was so hospitable and friendly. She gave us a brief rundown of the menu which was helpful and even some recommendations in the area in things to do. I loved the feeling visiting here and will definitely keep this spot on my list when in Phoenix in the future . The burgers were good, as were all the fry sauces. They have a long list of milkshake flavors, I was bummed I couldn't have one due to the milk. Luckily my husband got the flavor I was interested in so I could taste it, oh and he LOVED it and wanted to go back to buy a second one! Milk alternatives like almond, oat, or even coconut would be nice since milk is a product many people avoid for various reasons. The last thing we ordered was the chili cheese fries. These unfortunately were not impressive at all. I am big on fries and would have loved for them to not be so soft or thick. The chili was not our favorite either. Next time we would probably just order the tots with the sauces. Despite this, we loved our experience with this restaurant and would recommend it to any wondering if they should try it!

The burgers are AMAZING!!!!!! I literally will not eat a burger anywhere else but this place! The staff is amazing and you are treated as if you're family! If you have not eaten there, you're missing out!

Creative diner type atmosphere with really good hamburgers - some versions are unusually original. Definitely a fun spot to visit

If you eat there they do have table service. I did not expect. I ordered a chocolate banana milkshake, bacon cheeseburger and fries. The amount of the shake was huge and tastes great, she even put a few slices of bananas on top. The fries came out hot and crispy and the burger tasted great. The amount of bacon and the taste of the cheese was very pleasurable. Definitely recommend.

Old traditional diner feel. Decent menu with burgers, sandwiches, breakfast and they have a special of the day. We came in on a Saturday around 5. We were the only ones. You can sit wherever and then the waitress comes over. She was very pleasant and quick. We each got a cheeseburger and tots to split. The burgers came out how we asked for them cooked. Comes with pickles and lettuce on the side and grilled onions on it. The tots are good but you can tell they were just frozen and thrown in oil. There was zero flavor to them. A couple people came in and ordered shakes to go but we did not get one. The music was very loud - it could afford to be turned down a notch or two.
