"This quick-service spot is hidden in a quieter corridor of Harambe Port, and the expansive patio is great for relaxing and watching the Wildlife Express Train roll by. You’ll find a good selection of rice bowls and salads, which might be a welcome respite from all the other salty fried snacks in the Disney Parks—the chicken and rice bowl is well seasoned and topped with some crispy chickpeas for a nice crunch. The food was very good. The seasoned shrimp were well-balanced and not too salty. The spiced yellow rice was excellent. I really enjoyed the bowl. All the tables are outside, but they have fans and complimentary iced water.

One of my favorite walk-up places to eat anywhere in all of the Disney parks. Such amazing native flavors, really just very good quality and flavorful. Fantastic value for what you get compared to many places in the parks, and quite a bit of food. I always get the #1 chicken and shrimp bowl, with seasoned rice, fresh tomatoes and pickled cucumbers, and tzatziki sauce. So good!!

Hidden gem. The cheesecake was so good. I was shocked -- mango passion fruit. I do think they could have left off the Costco style frosting because it's so good on its own. Even the crust is good. Watermelon lemonade was refreshing. Again. Shocked. Because it's made with minute lemonade I was expecting really sweet. But it wasn't. The lamb kafta is yummy. Grab napkins because it leaks. And tons of tables. You're not stuck holding food while elbowing people away.

EAT HERE!!! The food is SO GOOD I was blown away. I got the shrimp bowl, cheesecake, and the Leopard's Eye cocktail. Every single thing was delicious and the portions are generous and well-priced for theme park food. You will not regret stopping here for a bite.

Google
The food was good because it tasted healthy and balanced! The bowls are quite yummy. Once we were finally able to order, it didn't take long for the food to come out. But, even though there were only five people in front of us, it took about 30 minutes of standing in line before we were able to place our order. That was really unexpected, and it was HOT. I have no idea what takes SO long to put the orders in. It was also difficult to find a seat.

We came here for lunch and a snack. The Tanzanian pie was fantastic. I would 100% Go back and get another one. The dessert was also very good. But man all I can think about is the pie. The vibe is used uniquely African, and is definitely worth a shot.

Google
The bowl was good! Price isn’t too high. They no longer serve the vinaigrette.

Compared to my other meals at different locations across all four parks, this one didn't stand out as much. Doesn't mean it wasn't good. On the contrary, the kabobs were well done. My only reservation was the pita - it was rock hard. Guess microwaved or heated but served much later. Other dishes were fine - jollof rice was nice!

Bryan J.

Yelp
We'll remember Harambe (Market) for being among our worst Disney parks food experiences. Mediterranean flatbread meals are among our travel faves and while Harambe's $13.50 Kofta Pita flavors were better than our worst Disney experiences (California Adventure's Avengers shawarmas) the flavors weren't as innovative as the pitas you'll find at the Disneyland or Hollywood Studio's Star Wars land's Ronto Roasters. (Awesome in both meat and vegetarian versions.) What killed it for us were dry and cold pita breads (that wouldn't fold without cracking), three firm and cool kofta meatballs (instead of fresh and hot), and tzatziki and chermoula sauces that were a bit weak-sauce, even if the dryness was helped by the diced tomato-cucumber salad. What lifted were that the kettle-style potato chips have a bit of curry-ish flavor to them-- but it's sad to leave lunch only complimenting the potato chips. 2.5 stars

Yelp
Best food in Animal Kingdom! Consistently delicious and super fresh, I highly recommend this place. I actually prefer the white rice over this seasoned rice so would make that change next time, but the chicken rice bowl is incredibly delicious with tons of fresh cucumber/tomato on top. Love love love it!

G F.

Yelp
Highly recommend the rice and shrimp -- it was great! The salad that comes in it and the white sauce was good and gave it a nice flavor. Would go back and eat here!

Christina Y.

Yelp
I was incredibly impressed by the food here, given the portion and the taste! Disney never fails to amaze me with how good their food is and it's also great that menus are always changing things up as well! My friends and I decided to stop by here after the Safari for our first meal of the day. You can either place a mobile order or at one of the windows available. I got the Chicken and Shrimp Rice Bowl and I'm pretty excited to order it again the next time I come back to this park. Enjoyed every bite, healthy, many flavors, yum! There was plenty of seating here as well around 11am. Not sure if it ever gets packed or busy, but if not then it's underrated for sure! Try one of their bowls if you come here!

Yelp
A nice place to eat in Animal Kingdom. This attraction is inside Animal Kingdom requiring you to have access to the park (i.e. you need to buy or have tickets to get into the park). The location is behind the Tree of Life near the Safari Ride, Exploration Station, and Gorilla Falls. It consists of several small food places set in front of lots of places to eat. There is a sign in front of the entrance that shows you the food options and directs you to order and pay online. We ordered a children's size Chicken Bowl and Shrimp Bowl. When your food is ready the app on your phone will inform you what station to pick it up. All of the tables are outside and are a mismatch of chairs. I do not believe that there were 2 of the same chair at any table I saw. Most of the tables have some degree of shade. We sat in the back next to the fence and got to enjoy the train as it transited between the mani stop and Rafiki's Planet Watch and Exploration Station. Each of the kid's meals was under $10 and they were ready within minutes of the time that was stated. They tasted very good and were a nice meal for the day. The area was clean and the staff were very nice. Overall, it was a very nice experience for getting a good meal in Animal Kingdom.

Dwayne A.

Yelp
Harambe is one of our go-to places on Disney property. The food is amazing and very healthy, which is an added bonus for me. Friendly staff always heightens the experience as they're very interactive with my kids. We ordered the rib bowls with chicken and had a Simba cupcake for dessert. The flavors are beyond what you'd expect from theme park fare and the price wasn't too bad. Looking forward to eating here again and again.

Lainey H.

Yelp
Wowwwww! This quick service really impressed me! It's located in Africa towards the backside of Animal kingdom. I got the grilled chicken bowl ($13) and my fiancé got the chicken and rib bowl($15), pretty reasonable priced if compare it to the other quick services. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and juicy, the rice was flavorful and the salad made it wonderfully refreshing! One of the better meals I had at WDW! This place is a must try if your in animal kingdom. Tip: you can get cups of ice water here to have with your meal or fill your water bottles with so your not paying $5 for a bottle water elsewhere in the parks.

Yelp
This restaurant is located at Animal Kingdom in Africa, near the Safari ride. It is an outdoor restaurant and actually very good. We have been to Animal Kingdom numerous times but this was the first time we ate here. They offer mobile order which I would recommend, it is so much easier than waiting in line. There are a lot of tables but it was a little difficult for our party of 3 to find a table. We went right at lunch time so that was expected. I ordered a kids meal as I was not super hungry, it was a rice bowl with chicken and I had the option of fruit or fries, it also came with a drink. It was very tasty I do think though, that it needed a sauce. Not sure what but it needed something. My husband and our friend ordered a salad and they both loved it. It was a huge salad, with lots of vegetables and chicken. The bowl was very small though so hard to mix it up. It is always nice on hot day to not have such a heavy meal so really good salads are things we always look for. I gave this restaurant a 3 because where I think the menu was great; ribs, chicken, salads, it needed more. I was hoping for like hummus or falafels. I was not super hungry so I was hoping for better sides than rice and fries. Something along those lines. I also think the price is crazy but it's Disney. We got 2 large drinks and paid almost $10 for the drinks alone. Crazy!!!! They also offer alcohol beverages for those that are looking for a craft beer or mixed drink. I will say the outdoor seating is very nice in the cooler times (if Florida ever gets that) but the summer it is brutal. They need way more fans to keep everyone cool. Animal Kingdom is already hot and humid with all the trees so any opportunity to cool down it always appreciated. I would definitely return to this restaurant in the future and I would recommend this as a great place to sit with your family for a nice lunch. They also have a great health inspection rating so that is a plus! Check them out next time you are at Disney.

Carrie G.

Yelp
Food was amazing! So flavorful it takes you to another world. If you're done with burger, fries and pizza, this is the place to be. Service was good - granted there was a ton of people. You have to find your own seats which is a game itself so many are waiting for people to be done. Ambiance sure makes you feel like you're in another world.

George H.

Yelp
Quick lunch at the Harambee market in the animal kingdom. 1 beer, 1 margarita, and 1 rib/chicken bowl all to share (the bowl is big, I don't think that I would be able to finish it). The ribs were solid, the chicken seasoned very well, and the rice was cilantro scented (tasted like cilantro, but none was visible). There were some salad greens and salsa as well. I'd definitely order it again.

Steph Q.

Yelp
My husband and I were first timers to Harambe Market at Animal Kingdom. We've been trying to nail down a good quick service spot at Animal Kingdom for awhile, and wow, we have totally been snoozing on Harambe Market. Their food is tasty, much higher quality than other quick service establishments around the Walt Disney World property, and is priced fairly for the fare they are serving. If you're trying to take a break from the usual 'theme park' type of fare but don't want to break the bank at a table service spot, Harambe Market might be the perfect option for you. Following the same mobile ordering protocol as a majority of the quick service restaurants on property, Cast Members were located at the main entry point of Harambe Market to assist guests with ordering their food via the My Disney Experience (MDE) app. Guests were not allowed inside unless their online order showed that it was ready for pickup. Once our mobile order was placed, the turn around time for receiving an update that our food was prepared was quick. Seats are available within the Harambe Market for diners to eat. My husband tried the Ribs and Chicken Bowl and I ordered the Grilled Chicken Bowl. Both meals came with white rice and a small side salad. Definitely the nourishment our bodies crave after three days of crazy Disney food! Both of our meals tasted very fresh (you can smell the meat grilling outside while you eat). Meat was tender with just the right amount of seasoning, rice was cooked perfectly, and the salad was a perfect touch to balance out the meal. The quantity of each entree was also generous. The price definitely justified the product. Overall positive experience at Harambe Market. With limited quick service options right now at the park, Harambe Market is a gem that we probably would have never found otherwise. NOTES (from our visit): - You need a park ticket and currently park reservation at Animal Kingdom to order anything at Harambe Market. A dining reservation cannot be made since this is a quick service establishment. - AP discount was not applicable at this location. - No dining plans are currently being offered.

Yelp
Excellent Salad I feel like I'm double-dipping with my review, Harambe Market is currently listed twice on Yelp, and I had written a review a few months ago on the other listing. I believe this is the active listing to use now. In my other review I raved about their salad and wondered afterwards if I was super hungry and would have liked anything non-toxic. I got another salad a couple of days ago and it really is a great salad. It is like a Greek salad with feta cheese and dressing, lots of delicious chicken, iceberg lettuce, and several sections of different salad ingredients like cherry tomatoes, olives, cucumbers, banana peppers, etc. It really is an excellent salad for me, just missing a scoop of potato salad on top. This is another place where you order and pay through a window and wait for your food. It didn't take too long once we ordered. My wife, who is exceedingly good at getting a table, got a table in the outdoor seating area by the railroad tracks. We were pretty removed from the commotion and aside from waving at the train whenever it came by, were mostly by ourselves.

Stacy F.

Yelp
If you're looking for quick-service food that taste great and is reasonably priced (for Disney), this is one of the locations you should visit at Animal Kingdom. They have a fun menu with a variety of options for food, drinks and dessert. All seating is outdoors and open to first come, first serve. I recommend the skewers with rice - very filling and reasonably priced. They also have some fun desserts, so be sure to check those out. Overall: A Great quick serve option towards the back of Animal Kingdom.

Colin D.

Yelp
This is a great place to eat by Disney standards and a good place to eat by any standards. As a bonus, it has really good kids options as well, which isn't a given for the places you might actually want to eat at Disney World. I'm very fond of the chicken salad. The African (at the edge of middle eastern) seasoned chicken over what's otherwise a pretty damn yummy Greek salad with olives, pepperoncini, tomatoes and greens with warm flatbread is just yummy across the board and bring some welcome vegetables and protein to the otherwise all carb, all the time diet of Disney. They also have kids meals of chicken tenders, burgers and fries that just work and the kids like, which is what I need. This is different from some of the other places which try to theme or dress-up the kids food in a way that makes the kids less likely to eat it. As a bonus, it came with clementines and applesauce which were hits and we saved for later in the day. Combine all of that with having nice outdoor tables to rest and eat at, this is basically as good as it comes for in-park Dining at Disney.

Isabella K.

Yelp
After a whole week of Disney fast food, I was really excited to eat here as I heard they had healthier options. I wasn't that thrilled to be honest. The so-called fruit market only had red and green apples and then mostly chips. The corn on the cob was great; however, the red spice was a bit too spicy for me. I was a bit disappointed at the Harambe salad which was way too salty and I barely finished it. I was grateful for the corn on the cob and the apples tho as it was probably the healthiest thing I've eaten at the parks.

Hoa K.

Yelp
Love the roasted corn here but it's changed since Covid. They predip the corn and dip into a liquid seasoning instead of seasoning powders. I miss the old way. It still tastes good but it was kinda small this time around. Maybe it's not corn season . But I'll still eat it bc it's yummy!!

Caity C.

Yelp
We were looking for a light lunch in Animal Kingdom, and this fit the bill. We were pleasantly surprised by how good this lunch was. We got the chicken bowl. Everything was well cooked and fresh. The greens had a nice, simple dressing on them that really enhanced the flavor. The atmosphere was really fun, it felt like an African market. You can see the trains coming back from Rafiki's Planet Watch. There isn't indoor seating, but the outdoor seating is covered. Check this spot for a tasty healthy lunch!

John S.

Yelp
My daughter picked this because of their Roasted Veggie Bowl. After we decided this was where we wanted to go when at Animal Kingdom this trip, we discovered that it was not open for dinner. So we decided to change our normal lunch plans of bringing sandwiches into the park and have lunch here instead. My daughter really liked her Veggie Bowl. I went with the Pork Sausage on Naan Bread with the Curry-Ketchup Onion Relish on the side. I really liked it but thought the mustard was better than the relish topping. My son had the Beef & Lamb Gyro and he liked it as well. We used the mobile ordering and it worked really well. Downsides, seating is somewhat limited and may not be entirely covered/in the shade. Also no drink refills unlike many other cunter service.

Vito S.

Yelp
A decent stop for food while touring around. The drinks were cold and the atmosphere was upbeat. I recommend the ribs as they were tasty.

Melissa M.

Yelp
Wow! Disney has upped their food options! Harambe Market is located in Animal Kingdom, Africa region. It is a quick service, counter service, option. I was concerned about what I might get, but wow, I was impressed! We ordered the grilled chicken and they were kind enough to sub out the rice for extra salad. The food came out relatively quickly. We sat at the large covered picnic tables. The chicken was delicious! The salad was fresh and crisp and the dressing was sweet and surprising. The flavors were great and the price was totally reasonable. I am so glad that Disney has improved their food options. I would seek out and eat at Harambe Market again. Delicious!

Angél F.

Yelp
What a tasty way to replenish and recharge after walking for hours around the park. The food was sooo flavorful, some of the best rice I've ever had! I'd recommend just getting a large drink because the small was really small, and a large was only .50 cents more and significantly bigger (as pictured). We kept passing by this place thinking "what's up with the long line?" I soon discovered why after my first bite.

Michelle D.

Yelp
Was not sure if I wanted to eat somewhere else other than Satuli Canteen but I was glad we chose to eat here. We wanted something with vegetables and we ordered a chicken bowl. The chicken bowl had grilled chicken, salad, and rice. The chicken tasted great; it tasted juicy and you can tell that it was cooked to order. Overall, I would recommend Harambe Market. It has healthier options and something for everyone to be interested in. Sometimes on a Disney trip, you just need some vegetables. It also has mobile order which I always recommend using. No indoor seating, but plenty of outdoor seating. The cast members are very nice and helpful and it is another great option that has quick tasty food but is not as crowded as Satuli.

Kristina G.

Yelp
Not sure why this isn't open the whole day but its a great lunch spot at Animal Kingdom. They have some different foods available for quick service and also some beautiful fun desserts. There's plenty of seating and its also well shaded so you can relax and enjoy some yummy eats and cool drinks. We had the gyros and they were very filling and tasty. Definitely a step up from normal quick service fare. The whole area really takes out out and makes you feel like you're at the market with the rustic seating and the details on the stone walls around you. I half expected a monkey to come running by me and jump on my shoulder. This is a great place to relax in between rides and have a good meal too!

Susan N.

Yelp
I can only speak for the most beautiful cake because I didn't try the food. I was super excited to try this treat but overall felt disappointed. It was soooo sweet to the point that my teeth hurt.

Sarah W.

Yelp
Located in Africa, harambe market is bustling. Quick service food and small menu, but MAN WAS IT GOOD! Ordered a chicken bowl. Came with rice, lettuce, tomato and chicken! mixed it all up before chowing down and man was it a great break for the day. The chicken was surprisingly so flavourful and juicy! I did not expect it to be that good - in fact, it was prob the best meal of the day, next to the dole whip. There's seats inside the market and outside as well. It's all outdoors so if you're looking for some A/C love, this is not the place for you. BUT! There's lots of umbrella shaded areas to sit under.

Andy J.

Yelp
The Disney team that came up with the design for this market hit it out of the ball park. The attention to detail is visually intoxicating. Even after multiple visits there are still so many new things that we keep noticing. I love all the extra wires on the power poles and the buildings - clearly Africa has not yet developed an electrical code that is safe, LOL. There are also some good food options here. Have only had the ribs so far. We really enjoy the immersive environment they created here. Its also a great place to take photos.

Michael L.

Yelp
Honestly one of the best meals I had in Orlando. In a town filled with overpriced amusement park food, this stood out at fresh, tasty and worth the price. $14 for chicken and ribs, and it was freshly grilled and delicious.

Allan C.

Yelp
The Harambe market is the quick-service food option in the Africa region in Animal Kingdom. For Disney, the food was decently-priced, and receiving food after ordering was very quick. There are picnic-like tables around the courtyard to eat at, there was no wait for a table. We ordered the chicken skewer, ribs and an African amber ale. Both meals came with papaya salad and a black bean salad. The proteins were very good, chicken was moist and ribs were very tender. Bean salad was good, papaya salad was a little dry. Overall, not a bad spot to stop for a quick lunch before heading back to the rides.

Pam W.

Yelp
My daughter and I ate here last year and there was a really good veggie curry and a black-eyed pea salad that I couldn't wait to have again. Came back this year and both are gone. We ended up getting the roasted veggie bowl and the chicken gyro. The food was just okay. It appears they're going all in on the pork ribs, offering them a few different ways. I don't think I'll eat here next trip. Will definitely try something else

Keven M.

Yelp
The food was outstanding for quick service, and priced reasonably according to Disney prices. I had the ribs. They could have used some more sauce but we're still very good. The cake is incredible and unique. Definitely worth a try. One star off because none of the staff would give me my 10 percent off for using a Disney credit card over 50. This was the only place that didn't ask the entire trip. I told them about it and they said "well we don't know for sure if you do or don't get it, so we aren't giving it to you" :/

Cindy F.

Yelp
My family and I stopped at this quick service while we were at Animal Kingdom. It was the closest restaurant near us when it started to rain. My husband got a ribs bowl, and I got a gyro I believe, while my kids shared a corn dog. The food was surprisingly good. I'd recommend this spot if you are near by. We even had some of their delicious alcoholic beverages.

Kaley T.

Yelp
The Dole whip! Need I say more? Everyone must try it. They also have ones with rum in them, which is always fun

Buzz H.

Yelp
We've been to Animal Kingdom about 25 times, and I feel like we have eaten everywhere. This may be the very first time we have eaten at the Harambe Market. We got a Ribs/Chicken Bowl and a Chicken Bowl. For quick service, this place is outstanding! This may be the best food we have eaten in Animal Kingdom. Both the chick and the ribs were cooked beautifully and seasoned well. I can eat a lot, and neither of us left hungry. I am honestly surprised how tasty the food was. I definitely know where we're going back next time in Animal Kingdom....Harambe Market! Add this to the must try list.

Anita C.

Yelp
I had purchased the chicken skewer which came with sides of bean salad and a green papaya salad. The bean salad was really tasty. The green papaya salad could have used some seasoning as it was a little plain. The chicken skewer was really moist and tasted really good with all the spices they used. I did find that it was a little expensive for a single chicken skewer ($9.99). The wait time wasn't too long as the service was really fast. There were also lots of outdoor tables and chairs to sit and eat.

Jms C.

Yelp
Off season, less in the menu perhaps. They don't have grilled chicken and it was Gyro (Greek food)... is that even an African dish? The food was " okay good" though.

John P.

Yelp
Quick Service and very unique menu! They even had a very well prepared vegetarian option. The Vegetable Bowl was REALLY good. Great flavor filled with veggies, lettuce, carrots, onion, zucchini, cauliflower, and chick peas. Great choice for lunch in Animal Kingdom!1

Gabriel V.

Yelp
Awesome food, has a nice variety of meals and they are all good! I recommend to go here and try the ribs.

Chelsea M.

Yelp
We had a super tasty lunch here. Loved the chicken gyro. The frozen mango drink is great too. Mobile order and avoid the line.

Allison T.

Yelp
Kinda disappointed here. The chicken skewers we got were pink and not cooked all the way. When they looked pink I asked the person working the counter if they were cooked all the way and she dismissed my concerns and said yes. We sat down and cut them open and clearly they were raw on the inside. I returned to a different window and showed the chef - he apologized and gave me two new ones. While they were piping hot, two of them were still not cooked all the way. I give up.

Elvira P.

Yelp
As far as theme park food goes this one was pretty good. Flavorful and the food portion equaled the price. The salad on the chicken bowl is a bit spicy but it definitely does not take the taste away from the food. This will definitely fill you up. The chicken bowl is about $14 whIle the gyro is $11, definitely worth every penny especially for the portion that it provides compared to other places in the park.

Chloe S.

Yelp
we were looking for something that wasn't an average theme park burger and fries and wanted something a bit more "nutritious" than your average food offered. a simple hotdog wasnt in our cards. we rolled up to harambe market to browse the menu and were not dissapointed! the chicken was well cooked and seasoned in the chicken bowl, the rice was also good and it was nice to have fresh lettuce with a bit of a spicy tomato and onion mix on top. this made me feel good throughout the rest of my day at the park. my husband and i decided to split a lamb and beef gyro- which was also good. not as good and satisfying as the bowls, but definitely not bad. the sauce wasn't your average tzatziki sauce- it had the teensiest bite to it. the strawberry frosty-type drink was very refreshing- but it melted fast!

Rachel S.

Yelp
This is a quick grab and sit food option located in Africa at the Animal Kingdom. Line was long but moved quickly. I though the food was a little overpriced for what you received and I was still a little hungry when I was done. I had the pork sausage, that came with a slice of pita bread and a very small but spicy coleslaw and the rest of family choice the chicken & beef gyros. My daughter also order a watermelon/lemonade drink for $5.50 came in a VERY small white cup with more ice than the drink, which was quite disappointing. I'd rather eat at the Yak & Yeti (Asia) where you get more bang for your buck and where the food has more flavor.

Elijah W.

Yelp
Welcome to one of the best Lunches on Walt Disney World property. I have been to so many places in Disney for lunch but by far this was amazing. This is something I would go out of my way for to get. Great views of the Wildlife Express Train, amazing food, and friendly staff. This is really truly amazing. I highly recommend you visit here.

Bonnevie G.

Yelp
A quick and good bbq spot inside the Disney Animal Kingdom. The price is reasonable but of course eating outside might save you a few more $$.

Michael L.

Yelp
The food was very tasty. Wanted to try something different. I am glad I tried it. Sooo good.

Christina B.

Yelp
The food is good, but the seating is not nearly adequate. However, if you leave the market and go towards tusker house and around the corner, there is a slightly hidden and shaded seating area. This area is much less busy, plus shaded and cooler. Use the mobile ordering in the app. Makes the experience much better.

Stan D.

Yelp
In the Africa Section of the Animal Kingdom Theme Park, there is place that is out of the way, but has very good food, The Harambe Market. If you want a quick bite without having to make reservations, this is the place to go to. We had the Beef and Lamb Gyro, Chicken Gyro and the Pork Sausage. Everything was very good.

Dan O.

Yelp
They broke the online order system. In the past you could order on line and pickup your food quickly. I just spent 1/2 hour waiting for my order and a person who ordered at the left hand window received their order before me.

Matt P.

Yelp
Excellent QSR spot for lunch. The beef and lamb gyro plate was quite good, I'd recommend it and have it again myself another time.
