The coffee and desserts were flavorful and they had just the right amount of sweetness. Next time, I'll skip the breakfast sandwich. I love the decor. Bright, colorful, and modern. Lots of good energy in this coffeehouse. A fun place to catch up with friends over a well brewed coffee.

I’ve been waiting for this location to open since the halfway point of Ramadan. The coffee did not disappoint. I got the iced pistachio latte and it was DELICIOUS, just sweet enough for me. And it came out in a couple minutes even with a packed house. The ambiance was STELLAR. Soft lighting, traditional decor, and the arabic music playing overhead added to the warm atmosphere. Can’t wait to try every drink on the menu. And I work around the corner at the hospital so that’s a promise!! xoxo

This dessert spot is a game-changer! The treats are absolutely divine—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I've been back three times this week, and each visit leaves me craving more. The vibe is cozy, the service is top-notch, and the desserts are pure bliss. Highly recommend!

Drinks: Vanilla Cold Brew Coffee, Iced Haraz Yemeni Latte (not pictured) Food: Grandmother Cake, Pistachio Milk Cake The latte was very good - one critique is that the syrup sits really thick at the bottom but it would probably mix better in a hot drink. Cold Brew was watery. Pistachio Cake and Grandmother Cake were amazing but could've used some more pistachio on the the top of the milk cake. Definitely will come back! Excited to see how the cafe grows!

I visit this coffee shop so often and always have a great unmatched experience. A really lively, yet tranquil, ambiance, pleasant and friendly baristas and beautiful middle eastern music complements delicious frappes. Every time I order different coffees and bakery items which undoubtedly are the yummiest and tastes incredible. This spot is incredible! They provide the most outstanding customer service and excellent coffee along with fast and limitless internet access is available. This location is ideal for relaxing and learning, and still providing festivities Without a doubt, the most fantastic coffee store around, and a must visit trendy spot. A must visit place!!!

Such a beautifully designed space! Staff was friendly and helpful. Great seating indoors and outdoors. I got the Adeni karak chai and pistachio cake, which were so good. Also staff informed us that they are open regular business hours, 9-5 right now. Follow their Instagram page to get updates (@hfcoffeephilly).

The grand Yemeni coffee experience comes to Philadelphia! @harazcoffeehouse newly opened at 34th and Chestnut street in University city. Modern vibe, specialty coffees and drinks, pastries and sweets. Large seating space. They roast and sell their own coffee beans as well.

This place is not it. It is incredibly busy, and they don't seem able to cater for the crowds. They are also overpriced. $8 for an iced latte is daylight robbery. Starting with the good stuff - the pistachio milk cake was excellent and I do highly recommend. However, I have been here twice. First time, the order was wrong. Instead of apologizing, they just shrugged and I wasn't offered a redo. Second time we got there, we had to wait 35 minutes for 2 iced lattes. It was very bitter, we received no apology, and others there were also complaining. Their air conditioning also sucks. I really want this place to do well, their pastries and cakes look amazing, but they have to improve on the coffee front.

Yelp
Came here for the adeni tea and milk cake - that hits the spot on a Sunday afternoon This place was busy so glad to have gotten a chair

Yelp
I was in the area and wanted a refund issue resolved. So I stopped by in-person. The manager was not available at the time. The staffer was going to suggest emailing or waiting 20 minutes and I opted to wait 20 minutes. Especially since I had emailed prior with no response. They checked their system and the refund went through on their end but for some reason it wasn't processed by my credit card or I missed it looking at my statements. They were nice enough to offer a pastry to resolve the confusion which I accepted. I then proceeded to order the Malaki. Staff here is very friendly and the crowd has died down now from when I went 2.5 months ago. But there are still enough people here for business to be booming. The facility is clean and well maintained. The hours here are quite awesome for a coffeehouse. I had to request the Yelp page to update from 7-9 daily to 7-10 pm daily.

Yelp
A lot of coffee choices for coffee lovers. Unfortunately, there's no decaf coffee. So I picked matcha latte. It's pretty good. Good selections of dessert including Dubai brownies. I had this triangle Dubai chocolate cake. It's sweet and moist. If you're a Nutella person, grab the Nutella filled donut. The donut is moist with nice amp of Nutella. It was pretty crowded around noon. It has Mediterranean vibes with the music and decoration.

Yelp
I came after seeing a TikTok of a matcha flight they offered but learned it was only from 5-9 pm. However I got a salted caramel latte instead and it was very yummy. The croissant was also the perfect sweet treat to eat with my drink. There's a lot of seating and free WiFi if you plan on doing work here.

Yelp
An insane place! Why haven't I come here sooner. There was a lot of people today otherwise I would be taking a dozen of photos. The tea and coffee drinks out of this world. Served in authentic cups and dishes. The authentic pastry choice is sick! I wanted to try everything! The design of the space is epic! I will be sooooh back! Didn't even feel like I was in philadelphia! Which is great! It's like a style-authenticity-taste unicorn oasis!

Yelp
Excellent service again on my visit. Twice I've been too slow to get something I've wanted haha, so again I say get here early if you want things. (Before 2:30p) This time I was seeking out the Mediterranean Morning sandwich and the last one was literally bought an order ahead. I am doubling down on the White Mocha Latte (iced). I have pictures this time!

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of Yemeni Adeni chai and have been to Haraz's original location in Dearborn. This is a brand new location, but overall the staff was kind and learning quickly. We got the honeycomb cream cheese bread, spinach feta pastry, Pistachio Latte Iced, and Harazi Iced Latte. The Pistachio Latte has a STRONG pistachio flavor. Harazi Iced Latte is more of a masala chai profile with strong spices flavor (nutmeg/cinnamon?). The spinach feta pastry was great! Honeycomb bread wasn't as soft as I have had at other Yemeni coffee spots (Qahwah House, Qamaria), but wasn't bad. Overall, I'm big fan of the Yemeni coffee scene and alcohol-free "third spaces" that are open late. This isn't my top/favorite spot for Adeni chai and honeycomb bread, but it's a nice spot overall. One recommendation would be re-orient the line with the big main entrance, since that can be confusing currently.

Yelp
Great to see a Yemeni coffee shop in Philly! It's been a few weeks but they're now fully staffed to stay open till 10pm. Iced Mufawar - it was very creamy with a punch of cardamom 5/5 Cold Brew Coffee w/ pistachio cold foam - had to ask for more cold foam 2/5 Dropping a star because the prices are very high...I understand it's the city but NYC isn't charging these prices. Charging $7-$9 for a drink that's not even customized is a bit ridiculous. Heard the adeni chai is good, will try it if I visit again. Edit: dropping another star because they're back to closing at 8pm. It's very unprofessional to toggle back and forth timings. A prepared storefront that opens later and ready to go is better than having customers drive all the way to the store only to be closed.

Yelp
I am glad Haraz opened up on Penn campus. This spot was vacant for a long time (formerly occupied by Starbucks many years ago). It is a decent size place, and when so went there were many students. I ordered qishr (coffee husks with cinnamon and ginger). I asked the employee if they had any decaffeinated Yemeni drinks, but due to the particular beans they use they don't have decaffeinated. He kindly led me to qishr and explained what it was. He did warn me that it has a very strong ginger flavor. I am used to drinking Korean ginger tea so I decided to give it a try. The verdict - it has a VERY strong ginger flavor! It is very warming so this will be a great winter drink. I do want to go back once the students are done for the school year, and I should go there earlier so I can try their caffeinated drinks.

Yelp
Went in the morning again and it was much more quiet and very peaceful! This might become my new favorite cafe in Philly which might be bad for my wallet ... great internet, plenty of seating (although window seats get sunny/warm) and outlets! Got the rose milk cake which was good but I still like the pistachio better. Saffron latte was a bit sweet for my taste and couldn't finish. Drip w milk was surprisingly good and went perfectly with the cake!

Yelp
I have been to many Yemeni coffee places and this Haraz in Philly is one of the best. Great taste, atmosphere and even better great service and staff. Thank you for making our Philly experience even better!

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, clean and friendly! Great selection of coffees and teas! Go for that almond croissant!

Yelp
Great coffee shop in University City! It was packed even on a Tuesday afternoon. Staff are very friendly. There are plenty of unique coffee options. I ordered the saffron latte, which was delicious. Next time, I will have to try one of their pastries!

Yelp
Was in the neighborhood on a Saturday afternoon and decided to stop by for some coffee. I got an iced salted caramel latte the coffee itself was great! The drink was topped off with cinnamon and it gave more of a cinnamon flavor than a salted caramel flavor.

Yelp
We came for the pistachio lattes on a 99 degree day. Our expectations were satisfied.

Jes V.

Yelp
I've been here twice and the quality of coffee and drinks here is excellent as well the pastries was excellent. I especially love the rose milk cake - super light and moist. Love the saffron latte - not too sweet which the right amount of saffron flavor. The only reason it got a mark down was despite the immediate order and no line, if it's a full house, it might take a while to get your drink even when it's a to-go order (wait time is clearly an issue based on other review I am seeing). I got a to-go drink and didn't realize it would take 20+ minutes to wait for it which caused me to miss my train. If anything, if you are on-the-go, you can also order ahead of time for quicker pick up. I'd also advise staff that if it might take a while, please provide the courtesy and inform your customers.

Yelp
Great coffee, and best service. Highly recommended. The baristas were very kind and welcoming, I definitely will be coming back to try more of their drinks and desserts! It is a very clean establishment and all the staff made me and my family feel very welcomed. Thank you for the great coffee!

Yelp
The cashier was incredible, and gave me wonderful recommendations. The options, lattes, and everything is truly remarkable about this place. I wish I could give more stars.

Yelp
Tucked on the end at 3412 Chestnut Street is HARAZ COFFEE, this new café already feels like it belongs. The space is beautifully designed and the kind of calm atmosphere that invites you to stay awhile. The coffee was excellent. But what really took the experience to the next level? The desserts. The pistachio milk cake was incredible--light, moist, and packed with flavor that lingers in the best way. The cheesecake? Phenomenal. Creamy, balanced, and somehow even better with each bite. And then there's the chocolate bar filled with pistachio cream--easily one of the most indulgent, satisfying things I've ever tasted. It didn't just hit the spot--it blew me away. Friendly staff, thoughtful design, and a menu that surprises and delights--this place isn't just worth visiting, it's worth returning to. Again and again. Rating: 5/5 - coffee done right, desserts done even better.

Yelp
I love this place , the ambiance is amazing Alhamdulillah I love the diversity keep up good work. baarakallahu feekum Food pastries good too.

Tahira C.

Yelp
The cafe was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The people helping were friendly and I didn't wait long to enjoy my delicious Adeni tea and croissant. There are many options for teas and coffees that are uniquely flavored with spices as well as several delicious pastries. I look forward to coming back and trying more.

Yelp
The coffees and the chai both bring back flavors of home (India) for me. I will probably put ginger in just about anything if given the opportunity, so this hits my sweet spot. The Adeni Chai is really good and I can't wait to have it during winter when it will have that warming effect. This a spot where you want to and almost have to sit and have your coffee "aaram se" as we would back home and whenever I have sat and had a coffee while I work (the free wi-fi works really well) it has been a great experience. The place has just opened up and I understand the staff is being trained and will become a bit faster but right now it is the slowest coffee shop in the area. So the one star that I had to drop is simply because I am not quite sure that works during a workday for me. I am hopeful this will improve, but even if it doesn't I will be there whenever I want to take an extended break from work.

Yelp
I am so disappointed by my experience today. I ordered 2 lattes (cold and hot) only to be given a single drink belonging to someone else. The customer service experience was below expectations and the wait time was unreasonable. I honestly will not be returning here again. I came here with high expectations only to be let down.

K F.

Yelp
Great looking place. Latte was perfect. Yemeni coffee was on point and milk cakes are delicious. Will be returning.

Alexandra H.

Yelp
Amazing latte! Got the pistachio. Ambiance was incredible great place to meet friends or study. Unfortunately waited 25 minutes for a latte.

Yelp
30 mins to get our order, watching the slow motion, lackadaisical, process, was frustratingly painful. All items came out at different times,...not the place to go

Becky R.

Yelp
It's rare to experience such warm hospitality at a local coffee shop. When my friend and I arrived, the place was full but the store manager noticed us waiting for a table and graciously made sure we had one. I got the Mufawar (coffee with cardamom) and it was delicious and creamy. Will definitely be returning!

Sabrina Z.

Yelp
Incredible latte - not too sweet & highly recommend the pistachio or yemini latte! Great for working as well

Hindy G.

Yelp
Espresso drinks are amazing. Drinks took a while to come out, but worth the wait- although maybe not worth the price. I have a feeling the baked goods are where Haraz shines, though I haven't had the chance to try any yet.

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
I an from out of town and wanted to find an early morning espresso that was NOT from a big chain. Haraz was the perfect spot. My double espresso was perfect, service was outstanding. I would definitely return and I highly recommend Haraz.

Amber S.

Yelp
Every time I've gone here, my drink has taken at least 20 minutes to make, if not more. The drinks are nice and I'm willing to pay the price, but the wait is ridiculous. Even when it isn't that crowded and they have multiple people working in the kitchen, it still takes 20+ minutes for ONE drink. Not worth it.

Jamil M.

Yelp
Great food and service. Adeni chai and pistachio cake were yum. Awesome ambiance. Very packed on sunday afternoon. The outdoor seating will be very great in the summer.

Hawa J.

Yelp
their drinks and deserts are so amazing. I personally love their chai and pink coconut refresher. For their dessert you can't go wrong with the rose or pitaschio cake. Their spinach pastery is also so good. 10/10 will recommend all.

Eric S.

Yelp
Not ready for prime time. Cute cafe. But third world air conditioning and service with Western world pricing! Almost a 30 min wait in sweltering heat inside for a $10 matcha that should cost $5. Two thumbs down.
