Detroit’s Hard Rock Cafe Closes in January - Eater Detroit

"The Detroit outpost of the international chain has confirmed it will depart from downtown’s One Campus Martius building on January 26, 2019. The Detroit location was established in 2003 and drew lines at its opening. The Hard Rock Cafe features memorabilia from many of metro Detroit’s music icons including Marvin Gaye and Madonna with the guitar sign designed after one owned by Ted Nugent. In a statement to multiple outlets today, the Hard Rock Cafe stated that its lease was ending in the building but that the company isn’t ruling out relocating elsewhere in the city." - Brenna Houck

Very disappointed. The food was adequate and the service mediocre. However, I probably set my expectations to high, expecting it to be amazing. After all This is Detroit, the home of Motown Records and amazing Rock and Roll concerts as well I've been to Hard Rocks all over the world and this is now on the bottom of my list. My family and I were disappointed. I probably will never go back unless they do a re-do. Waste of a couple hundred bucks. Even the shirt shop had nothing special. BUMMED OUT!

First time I've ever been, and the expericence was great! Our waiter, Larry, was a sweet heart and did great at his job. Our food was so good, and that, paired with the atmosphere of the place, was wonderful. Food pictured: Spring Rolls & Texas Burger.

I enjoyed the location, and had a blast. I ordered a steak and it came out cooked perfectly. Happened to be there for trivia night and had a lot of fun. It was certainly a pleasure to visit.

The stars are for the nostalgia, and the appetizers. The waitress forgot our drinks, brought drinks to the wrong table 2xs. Asked the manager and she didn't bring it and told the waitress the wrong table. The guy in the gift shop was forthcoming with info about the closure, but was OCD and please don't fold the shirts he's got it. The bartender was cool, thanks for the swizzlestick. Please go before Jan 26th, sad this place is closing after 15 years, over disagreements with the owners of the building and whatnot.

The salmon is to die for but my husband didn't like the Mac and cheese with pulled pork and he isn't picky usually so if you go I just wouldn't get that. I ordered a drink and they added the fee to take the glass home without my approval. The glass doesn't even say Detroit on it ☹️ I will make sure that doesn't happen next time and I will be getting that salmon again, it's the best salmon I've very had and I've Extremely! Picky!.. The broccoli was a little tuff but I like my veggies really soft. The potatoes were Not very flavorful and were kind of dry.. I did like the music♡

I'm sad that this place is gonna close down soon as their lease ended. I always loved the atmosphere, music and the food here. The appetizer platter is one of my favourites here! It has a small menu but great taste.
