Harding's Review - Flatiron - New York - The Infatuation

"God bless America. For she's provided us with many gifts, like freedom, and capitalism, and restaurants. And at Harding's in the Flatiron District, you can celebrate all of those things at once, by eating short ribs. This truly is the land of opportunity. We've visited Harding's a few times now, and each time we're a bit taken a back by the size and scale of this place. It's like a Planet Hollywood that's been dedicated to the spirit of Teddy Roosevelt, and seems to typically be about as crowded as you might imagine that idea would warrant. Let's just say that the restaurant is equipped to feed the entire population of the original thirteen colonies at once, and yet is in absolutely no danger of ever having to do so. There are just too many tables, and not enough demand. Don't get us wrong. Harding's is by no means a bad restaurant. It's actually pretty solid, and they've got a good bar and a nice staff that make the place more appealing than the food probably would on it's own. But it's just too big of a room. There's no sense of intimacy, and there's so much space that heading to the bathroom from your table is like packing up and heading west on the Oregon Trail. There's no guarantee that you're going to make it back, and you're probably going to lose someone along the way. At least it won't be from starvation. Food Rundown Fig Toast A basic and decent crostini, with figs, goat cheese, and honey. Get it if you get down with figs. Stuffed Padron Peppers These peppers are stuffed with sausage and apples and apricots and other good things, and we liked the flavors. But they seemed scarce on the plate, served in little disc form. We would have preferred something a bit more substantial. Fluke Crudo A little crudo is always nice, and this one's no exception. There's some green papaya in the mix, which we liked a lot. Homemade Hand Cut Pasta About as average as a plate of pasta can get. This papardelle with a mushroom ragu was fine, but that's about it. Lobster Roll The lobster roll is on Harding's lunch menu, and unless you're going to lose your sht if you don't get a lobster roll right this second (you have too much money), wait until you can go somewhere for a good one. There's a lemon aioli and pickled fennel on Harding's version that makes it way too acidic and funky. Thanksgiving Sandwich I can't remember if that's the official name, but our server sold us hard on this turkey, gravy, and cranberry sandwich when we were here for lunch a while back. It was a big sloppy mess, and not in a good way. Short Ribs A nice plate of short ribs, but I don't think it's possible to screw up a plate of short ribs. So we're not gonna get too excited on this one." - Chris Stang

Google
Decent restaurant close to Flatiron. Ordered the fried chicken sandwich and the omelette. The omelette was decent. The fried chicken sandwich was not good might have been better off going to Chick Fil A. The aperol spritz was as expected. The OJ served was quite watery

Wandered in looking for a bite to eat before heading to a magic show at Fotografiska. Stand out French fries (and I’ve had many in nyc) and an excellent flatbread. WS very impressed. Beautiful spot!

Wonderful place to come for drinks and appetizers. Been coming here with some people from work the last few years to celebrate the holidays. Delicious burger Really sad to hear it’s closing down on December 21st after 12 years

Harding’s is a spirited pub that serves some very decent food. The inside design creates has a great classic bar feel and there is outside dining. I was impressed with the quality of the food and ordered the beef short rib. It was tender as you would expect and service was efficient. Servers paired the short rib well with a class of cabernet. Rather than my preferred one large ice cube the old fashion had smaller cubes of ice, but still balanced old fashion flavor.

Great bar and night scene. The later it gets, the busier. The bar itself has a huge hanging out space so you're not on top of one another. Very chill vibe and can be a romantic spot if you choose (albeit a little loud between the music and people). Perfect for an after work get together or a night out. The dining room is very spacious as well, there's even a second floor spot for a private group if needed. Must try the grilled octopus and cheese plate. Generous portions to boot.

Google
Just happened to pass this place and decided to give it a go. Very pleased. Had the strawberry salad and then the half chicken; both outstanding!!! I had some time to kill and had wanted to eat before an event. They were not open just yet but seeing me outside perusing the menu, let me in and we’re gracious with wine and water while they finished setting up. Good looking place with atmosphere and the food was delicious. Rob

Google
cozy spot in flatiron! came just for drinks and it was the perfect environment to sit and catch up. we were cutting it close on time but our server was able to whip up a second round for us. the food looked & smelled good too!

Google
By far the best experience I've had in a long time with a progressive menu! The sliders are the best sliders I have ever eaten! They were so good that I decided to get the burger! The burger was awesome and is in my top three burgers of all time! The fries are so good that you'll eat until there are no fries left!! Dessert was a classy mango sorbet! This restaurant was great just because of the food that the Execute Chef prepared, but the manager, all the servers and house staff rendered superior service! For this quality of food and service you would expect to pay an absorbent price! But for a three course meal with a refillable coke, it was under $60! This is a top-tier American food restaurant that should have a spotlight on all top ten food reviews in NYC and across the nation! Great service!

Yelp
We loved our dinner there server era truly excellent. We have also had drinks at the bar. Unfortunately it has gone out of business.

Yelp
(Overall: D) - I was quite infuriated with my experience at Hardings as I was very curious what their specialty cocktails was and the bartender insisted they did not have a menu and could make any classic cocktails, when I later found out this was in fact not the case. Their classic mezcal was light and refreshing but I am not sure why they had to do this several round of back and forth in the first place. (Classic Mezcal: B) - I greatly enjoyed this mezcal as it was fragrant, aromatic, and a refreshing drink to kick off the night. -- Food: +1 Presentation: E Price: E Atmosphere: +1 Service: -1 Menu: -2 Overall: -1 D Insta/Beli/TikTok: @amei_eats

Yelp
Came here for a holiday party and had a good experience. This is more of a pub setting with high ceilings. You could tell it's Christmas by all the corporate type celebrations going on in one place. I think its charm is that it's dated if that makes sense. There were about 10 of us and we had the upstairs private section. Great few of everyone and the bar. Some fun facts, the restaurant is located in the Flatiron district of NYC, is located in an old printing press from the 1900's, has 25 foot ceilings, there are American antiques and historical article. The bar is handmade from black walnut in Bucks County PA which is the hole of one of my favorite places New Hope PA. We ordered a lot of food and wine and the staff did a very good job of keeping our water and wine glasses full. Overall great service, everyone was polite, we spent over 4 hours there and were not rushed. Plenty of staff to attend to our party. Our main server Arianna was very kind and made everyone feel welcome. Before several bottles of wine we ordered cocktails. These included the spicy pair Margarita, the chocolate martini, and several regular margaritas. The drinks were good not as much alcohol as I think there should have been. For appetizers we had the macaroni and cheese balls, cheese and charcuterie, fig toast, black truffle Burrata, and a few flatbreads. For main courses we had the Seared Ahi Tuna Salad, Fire Roasted Atlantic Salmon, the Braised Short Ribs, and the Our Burger. Everything was AWESOME! For desert we had the Apple Crisp, the dark chocolate pudding cake, and the chefs selection of ice. Real. Overall GREAT choice, fun place and I would definitely recommend them. Everyone I saw appeared to be having fun.

Yelp
A very cozy spot that seem to be relatively easy to get a table when you want to get a walk in spot. We liked the short rib sliders - they are quite juicy and come at a good price too. The harding's flatbreads are not bad as well. The short ribs main course is a bit dry though.

Yelp
Harding's is as big as a stadium, by Manhattan restaurant standards, which means ample seating for walk-ins if you're bored and hungry on a Wed night in Flatiron but don't feel like spending $100. If you want noodz without the nudity, try the veggie-laden Spring Pasta, which is surprisingly ample like Mother Nature's bosom. For those wanting something more artery-clogging, the Fried Chicken Sandwich is a satisfying medley of carbs and protein and fried carbs drizzled with sweet spiciness. The accompanying Truffle Parmesan Fries are exactly what you want them to be. We kept the ethanol to the minimum, sharing just the Dirty 6, which was a tasty cocktail of agave, pineapple and citrus.

Yelp
Very cute spot! Loved the ambiance especially the high ceilings. My girlfriends and I had a ton of apps, all so good! The burrata was awesome as well as the mac and cheese bites. For entrees- everyone loved their food but the short-rib and salmon were the favorites. Our server was fantastic! She recommended the espresso martini and it was deff a top one!! Overall would highly recommend!!

Yelp
Bad value for the price. My New York strip was bland, overcooked, and tasteless. The side salad it came with was abysmal for the price with no nuance to it. I could have done a similar job on a George Forman grill street side. I asked for salt from the server 40 minutes later the salt never came. A comedy of errors for a Wednesday. When plates were collected 75% of my steak remained and no one even bothered to check if it was done properly.

Yelp
Harding's is magnificent! With a beautiful interior and a romantic feel, this cozy spot is perfect for any occasion! Everything we tried was incredible and you MUST get a cocktail here - some of the best I've had in a long time! The dessert left me speechless. With super friendly staff and warm ambience, it's a no brainer to have on your go to list in NYC!

Yelp
This is purely based on drinks at the bar. We got an earl of grey and a bees knees which were both made to perfection. It was exactly how we like it. We enjoyed the drinks in their dimmed, rustic ambiance. Would come back!

Yelp
Expensive and small portions for below average food. 3 of the 10 glasses they brought out for our group were dirty. Lip marks around the rims. THIS RESTAURANT DOES NOT SEPARATE CHECKS

Yelp
- overall rating: 3.5 - well made drinks - recommend: the harding smash ($15), the green hour ($16), and the earl of grey ($16) all were light and refreshing, perfect for a warm summers eve - high ceilings, large center bar, dark, cozy, casual atmosphere for post dinner drinks - wouldn't go out of my way to come but would recommend if you find yourself in the neighborhood

Yelp
I've only been once, but Harding's is a fun bar with great sliders and fries. Sliders are a bit trickier to execute than the standard American-sized burger. Obviously they are smaller and easier to overcook. Plus, there's more bun involved. This can lead to the semi-disastrous outcome of dry, overcooked meat and too much bun. I am delighted to report that the sliders here avoid these pitfalls. The sliders are juicy, well-portioned, and delicious. The meat mix holds together well and blends smoothly with the garlic aioli spread. And the crucial bun-to-meat ratio is just right. The truffle fries are, dare I say, perfect bar fries. They are crispy, aromatic, and capped with Parmesan. Pro tip: ask for a side of more garlic aioli. It elevates the fries to even higher levels of savory perfection.

Yelp
Lovely brunch at the bar at Hardings. The bartender was on top of everything and was making us great drinks. The tuna burger was different to the usual tuna burgers as it seemed like it was a tuna steak on the bun- much better than the minced up tuna you usually get in a burger. Fries were really good too, not too thin. Worth a trip if you're in the flatiron district!

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday night and I thought this place was really great! The interior atmosphere was really relaxed yet intimate for a great date night, and I appreciated the COVID-friendly protocols with the tables spread out and separator plexi-glass between tables. This was my first time indoor dining in NYC, and I felt really safe and comfortable. I also really appreciated how friendly and attentive our waitress was! Food: Got the "Our Burger" and thought it was a good portion, and super flavorful upon first bite. The fries were cooked perfectly, and the garlic aioli sauce was a great complementary dipping sauce. Really minor, but the top bun of my burger was slightly burnt, but I honestly overlooked it with how good the meal was. I got the pilsner beer and it was pretty average, but tasted great with the meal! I'd recommend this place for anyone looking for a chill place for dinner and drinks, I had a great experience!

Yelp
I came for early brunch with my fiance. We decided to dine inside. We were greeted and sat immediately. The interior is a little on the dark side. What we ordered. *My fiance ordered the The Williamsburg Flatbread, flavors were good but the dough was too goey and reminded us of school lunch pizza dough. * I ordered a beyond burger with salad The server got my order wrong and gave me chicken instead of the impossible burger I ordered, so I had to watch my fiance eat while I waited for my food. When I finally got my food, the beyond burger I couldn't tell the difference between meat and plant based. It was not bad, but the dressing was too sour for my taste. I Service: Despite the mistake with my order, our server was very sweet and wonderful. Last thoughts, I think I would pass on coming back.

Yelp
*** 3.5 stars *** Looking for somewhere that had reservations for dinner just a few days away and had a menu that would have options for my friend's son, I landed on Harding's. The menu, while nothing special, looked solid and it looked like it would be a fun place for adults that would be comfortable for a child. We ended up sitting outdoors in their covered tent, which was great even though it was raining that night. Since it was raining and there weren't many people outside service was a bit slow, but to be understood, as the server had to run in and out to take care of us. We had the burrata and truffle fries for the table - both good (as burrata and truffle fries are) but nothing special. The salmon that I had was quite good, but I think my friends were underwhelmed with the burgers and the short ribs. As for cocktails, I had a couple of old fashioneds which did the trick but were again nothing special. All in all this place was fine and a bit forgettable. Probably wouldn't go out of my come back given all the great restaurants in NYC, but also wouldn't mind coming back if I needed somewhere easy and low key again.

Yelp
Nights of nostalgia I trudge through light drizzle down 21st toward Park, stopping to be warmed by the lamp light that seeps through the windows of Hardings. As I enter, my nostrils bristle with woodsmoke, as Ryan and Nick ply their trade expertly- a smoked old Fashioned is taking shape. I shed my damp overcoat and sit a spell, and exchange stories or nights out over a perfect old fashioned. The well-mixed cocktail warms my core, and the convivial atmosphere does the same for my soul. The beef sliders are delicious, perfectly medium rare and the soft crunch and give of the bun and cheese makes a lovely pairing with my bourbon. The kind visages of Jane, Kristina and Kim float across my purview, checking in at appropriate intervals, my always with a friendly smile. This is home now.

Yelp
I absolutely love a horseshoe bar, and Harding's is beautiful. I love coming here for happy hour/casual drinks as there's almost always room available at the bar. I usually opt for a mezcal negroni. Harding's is also great for work dinners/work happy hours. I've tried the hummus, fries, and a few of the other starters off the menu. They're all decent/bar like foods, but makes for an overall great drinks experience. I haven't tried any of the entrees yet. The space itself is stunning and spacious. The service is consistently good as well. A great spot for chill drinks and food.

Yelp
I was totally craving a cheese board all day and the original spot I checked into couldn't seat us (private event). Doh! So I headed to this hot spot -- just a few steps off Broadway and 21st. I've never been to Harding's and from the entrance, it looked like just the place to satiate my happy hour drink and cheese craving. The first look at their menu, I spotted a cheese plate and a charcuterie. Perfect! I also wanted to try some place new given I'm not always in this hood. To my delight, the cheese board was a super generous plate of three blocks of cheeses paired with toast points, Green apple slices and some balsamic. There was cow's milk and a sheep cheese plus a classic brie. I was in my foodie zone and paired with a glass of wine, I was all set. My dinner buddy wanted to try the calamari appetizer/salad and boy was that a great choice. Again, a generous portion and perfect for sharing. The calamari was the right texture and filled us up. We were thinking we should share an entree but after working through the plates and two drinks later, we were too full. The vibe here is cozy, hipster, and happy hour friendly with a touch of class. No rowdy bar hoppers and a genuinely nice crowd of regulars. The giant bar counter is more than ample to host a large office crowd or for more privacy, head upstairs to book the second floor dining area. You can overlook the entire restaurant from there. The tables on the main floor were well spaced so that you were not on top of each other, yet smartly spaced so that the restaurant didn't waste any useable space. The lights were slightly dim so it could be a great date spot. It's also excellent for groups. I would totally return to try more food!

Yelp
This spot was a last minute substitution when Beecher's happy hour filled up we wound up here, but no complaints at all. The service was friendly, the food was good and really liked the atmosphere. I liked we could split a few dishes over a few glasses of wine. The Goat Cheese and Fig toast was very nice, but I would say if you are planning on getting a cheese board then pass on this because you get a better value with the board. The toast topped with goat cheese, figs, herbs and honey was very nice. The cheese board was very generous and all the items fresh and delicious. More than enough for two, but it would be a nice sampling for a small group as well. The octopus salad was done very well again with impeccably fresh ingredients. I liked how thin the egg slices were cut and placed around the salad. The Octopus, browned potatoes and arugula all complimented each other nicely with the right amount of dressing. The beer and wines selection were all very good. I had a Riesling here I enjoyed and a IPA that I swear tasted of the skunkiest weed, which was the flavor it was trying to convey - not really my thing, but it was interesting to try. I believe overall Harding's is a great spot for intimate drinks/dinner or a good group spot with the diverse menu of well executed dishes. A place that will please a broad demographic of folks.

Yelp
so we had a party of 5 for a friend's birthday and were trying to go to Lillies after reading reviews online ... but they said 4 hour wait... so my son found this place nearby just a short walk from Union Square and they did not disappoint ! we were the first ones there at 5pm and got taken care of by all the staff. The food was 5 star, especially the desserts- we ordered 3 of them and ate them family style and couldn't decide our favorite. All of our plates were clean, not a leftover in sight. The bald headed manager/owner/Jewish guy from uptown spoke great Italian and had us laughing all night. Great atmosphere, perfect music and lighting and really really good food. Will definitely go back! ThanksHarding's!!

Yelp
If you're reading this, then don't bothering continuing and just go here. You can thank me later.. If you decided to still continue reading, just know this is the bar of your dreams. Amazing cocktails, homey yet rustic vibes, no weird young people angst which lets be real, no one likes. The food is so good it's borderline orgasmic. Being served by Nick, never had this type of attention while giving me my space in my life. Ryan also checking in to make sure my refills were met. This is the place of your dreams cause it's where my dreams were met. Your welcome

Yelp
Harding's is in a tough spot... the decor is nice and warming with an open concept, a lot of exposed brick and lighting to set the mood for a relaxing dinner. The staff was nice - especially our waitress... she was very attentive throughout the entire meal and our water glasses were always full. Where these guys fall short is on their food - it just wasn't tasty. It wasn't horrible by any means, but you're in NYC where you can find some of the best. The presentation was meh, and that's okay if the flavor knocks it out of the park. Welp... the flavor didn't ever make it into the park. *Good news: there's potential here. **Better news: Harding's seems to be conscious of unnecessary waste, which I appreciate. In their menu, it states to avoid excess waste, ask for complimentary bread for the table. Way to use your noggin, Harding's. I like it.

Katie G.

Yelp
We came in for the first time this evening. Ambiance was warm and welcoming, upscale casual. From the hostess to the folks busing tables, everyone we encountered was friendly and professional. Our server, Nick, was a highlight. He was very personable, great sense of humor, and he combined attentive efficiency with giving us space and time to enjoy our meal. Cocktails exceptional, food fabulous. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
I'm not a burger person at all but Harding's knocked it out of the park with the "Our Burger". The angus chuck and short rib blend was hearty, juice and magical. I loved how they blended the 2 different cuts! The star of the dinner was the Dirty 6! I've already returned again just to have this cocktail drink. The tequila was mixed well with the different components; you know a drink is good if the balance is good and the taste of tequila doesn't overpower. The pineapple and mint were great garnishes.

Yelp
We got married at Harding's in 2017 and have been returning ever since, and have not missed our anniversary or V-day here yet. We weren't sure we'd be able to celebrate this year bc the hubs and I are pretty conscious and conservative when it comes to eating out and Covid but of course Harding's has taken the extra care for their diners by having plexi partitions, wearing masks, using digital menus (genius!), and actually having 6 feet bw tables. We were so happy to dine with y'all again per usual food was perf, and very grateful for the care you all have taken to keep diners safe. Xoxo Ps order the burrata people!

Yelp
oh where can i begin, At a couple of steps from the flat iron building this is a bar that is not quite so on your face on 21st street however when you come looking for them you will find that they have the characteristic full glass wall look from the outside so even though there is no huge sign, bells and whistles you would still be able to find the spot fairly easily. young and fancy vibe with the very classy chandeliers alls over the ceiling this is a very hip whiskey bar in the heart of the city. as i mentioned above, this is mainly a whiskey bar so you will enjoy the selection if you are a whiskey drinker with the acquired taste, but if you are me... you will struggle a bit as i am a sweet drinks lover, so i had to go for the gin and tonic... however that is really not my go to, that is mostly my... "well theres is nothing for me here", i assume they may have other choices, however due to the fact that the bar was super busy and all that you can see on display is whiskey it turns out it is complicated to get the chance to see what your options are if you are not a whiskey drinker. i had the gin and tonic, you cant mess that up (or can you...) so the drink was pretty ok. my friend had the dirty martini, she said it was pretty good, however she was not very excited for the fact that they do not serve martinis on martini glass, but on a old school champagne chalice thing. i feel her, she wanted her sex in the city look, after all you are here and this is the city. besides the (for me) lack of fruity options this place is a marvelous find. the ambiance is super cute, fancy and sexy. this place is perfect for a date, they have food ( that i did not have the chance to experience as i came here this time for drinks with friends) and waiter service as well as very well set up tables for dining. when you come in here you will see that the bar is the focal point with most people hanging around that, the tables will start getting populated as it gets a little later and dinner starts to come out filling the restaurant part with a lot of very tempting aromas. the entire space is well decorated, the service is good, the management is very attentive for sure. i will come back here when i have the chance to try the food.

Yelp
The drinks were good and so was the food but we had a pretty negative experience with our server. I asked for tap water for my group and the server stared at me, said nothing, and proceeded to pour the entire table $50 worth of Saratoga Bottled waters that **no one said yes to**. The server didn't check in after the food order was taken, and when she did that she couldn't tell us anything about the menu other than "it's good" when asked questions about the food. Several people at the table work in the service industry (myself included) and felt very scammed by the whole thing, which is a shame because it was a birthday dinner. Please train your servers to actually ask whether the tables want to be upsold and be a little less predatory with their sales tactics.

Yelp
The place looks nice, and drinks were good. Food was decent (except the flatbread, it tasted like frozen pizza from the supermarket). The person who appeared to be the manager was extremely disrespectful to us and came shortly after we paid (and tipped of course) to ask us to leave in the most condescending way possible. Even by NYC standard, the attitude is out of place. Not going back. It is a shame because it is a decent place otherwise.

Yelp
My friends and I were looking for a bar to hang out at and they were gracious enough to take us in even though they were just an hour out from closing. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. They are doing indoor dining and practicing proper COVID protocols. The interior is beautiful and the ambiance is great if you want some place more mellow and less crowded but want somewhere to sit and chat with friends over a few drinks. I enjoyed the dirty 6 (one of their more popular drinks) and the earl of grey was surprisingly good too! Will definitely be back to try their food

Yelp
Came here with a group of friends for a birthday and we had the private room, which was spacious and secluded. Service was really great. We had a prefix menu with wine and they always checked to make sure we had our glasses full. The price was also very reasonable. Unfortunately I just didn't love the food, maybe it was just what I selected. I chose the Fig toast as my appetizer. The bread had a very nice charred flavor, and the goat cheese was okay. The honey flavor added nice sweetness, but I wish the fig wasn't in whole chunks. Overall it wasn't special. I chose the short rib for my main course and thought it was tender but way too salty, and I can't remember the last time I've said something is too salty. Overall we had a good time and had great service but probably will just come back to the bar next time, which looked fun.

Yelp
This place is great - listing the experience by category below. Location - Flatiron district, close to lots of subway stops and lots to do. Quality of food - top notch! -Veal and Ricotta meatballs - you get 3 and plenty of sauce. Not the best I've ever had, but a nice app that doesn't overfill. -Artichoke and Asparagus Salad Yes, this was delicious. Amazing sauce and flavors, highly recommended. Light and fresh. -Stuffed Eggplant - best dish by far! Absolutely must try. It had a some sweetness, maybe sugar or cinnamon, but overall the flavor was out of this world. This is not something you can get anywhere else, so definitely get it! -Handmade Garganelli Pasta - Probably my least favorite dish. Pasta was al dente, but I think a little too much. Not as much flavor as I'd hoped, wouldn't get this again. -Short Ribs - good flavor, kind of reminded me of a stew so you know it was cooked for a very long time. Good aroma and fell off the bone. Not a large portion, but plenty of flavor. Ambiance was adorable, very homey and relaxing with nice decor. Good place for a date, but there were quite a bit of groups. Easy to make a reservation. Very nice staff, attentive and everyone helped us, not just our waitress. I'll be back!

Yelp
It may have an off day... the food was less than great. We ordered a chicken sandwich and eggs benny with lobster.

Yelp
My husband and I had our wedding reception at Harding's in October of 2021 and we could not be happier with our choice! The owners Jill and Ken are both amazing and on top of everything. We didn't hire a wedding planner, and thanks to Jill we didn't need one! She helped with all of the planning - menu, timeline, coordinating with other vendors, etc. - and was extremely easy to work with and very organized. The staff all go above and beyond and are very professional and great at their respective jobs. Every bartender there is a mixologist in their own right and they all make amazing cocktails whether they are pre-planned or on the fly. We had passed hors devours to start and multiple food stations. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how delicious all the food was. The venue itself is perfect for a wedding reception. We had 120 guests and it seemed like the perfect number, not crowded, but not empty feeling either. The giant bar in the front and the efficiency of the bartenders ensured there was never a wait for a drink. We would highly recommend Harding's to any couple looking for a unique wedding venue in NYC! Thank you so much, Jill and Ken!

Yelp
Great service (thank you Bradley!) and extremely accommodating, since 2 of us arrived 1/2 hour early for our reservation, and 2 of us came 1/2 hour late! The menu is not extensive, but what they do have is excellent. Both the salmon and the rib main courses, were wonderfully prepared. The background music is truly background... one of the too-few places that doesn't blast you out of your skull. The acoustics make other tables seem loud, but it's only voices. (Tip: it's quieter up front, near the windows.) The atmosphere is mellow classy... just the way we like it. --Drink Club NYC is a roving club of NYC imbibers, a different bar every week

Yelp
Great food and drinks! I ordered the Dirty 6 cocktail and the fig toast and both were delicious. Heads up, only vaccinated guests can be seated inside!

Yelp
Love this place! Went crazy and shared the following with my friend: +fig toast +beet and butternut squash salad +short ribs +grilled salmon +sweet potato fries +apple crisp We also had drinks - I had the Harding's Smash with vodka - and a cappuccino. The toast, short ribs and fries were standouts for me. I'd never had sweet potato fries in wedges like that and I'm now obsessed. The ribs were just perfection; drinks were excellent. I feel like this is a weird area for food, so it's nice to know Harding's is there. Definitely will return! Edit 7/2017: Dirty 6 drink is awesome (and strong) as are the regular fries and Arthur avenue flatbread. The portions are huge!

Yelp
Came here for a late dinner on a Thursday night after an extended happy hour. Got the short ribs which were cooked deliciously. They were very tender, you could cut them with a fork. Mashed potato on top was also tasty. Went over to the bar and opted into dessert got the griddle cake it was SO good. Thanks to the bartender Bradley for the recommendation. Great service and friendly staff I'd definitely go back.

Yelp
Delicious burger. Cooked perfectly which is not common. Great beer and made a reservation so was able to get right in and get seated. Really good experience overall and very reasonable prices considering great experience and professional staff.

Yelp
Gave this place another try for brunch and it was underwhelming. Our food was OK, service was a little slow. After waiting a while for our food, they brought the wrong omelette. They did comp a side dish for that, and that would be fine if we were impressed with the food, but it was average at best. We got the the Atlantic omelette and the crab Benedict. We just didn't enjoy our meal here.

Yelp
Came here for a late-ish lunch on a very quiet workday and sat at the bar. Ordered their house burger ("Our Burger") medium, with an extra addition of bacon, egg, and cheese, which could've been another sandwich on its own. Also got a lemonade with cranberry, something the bartender randomly whipped up for me. Didn't even charge me for it! While I waited for my food to come out, I interacted with the bartender as he diligently cleaned a whole pile of insanely fresh mint. He soaked each bunch of mint sprigs in a large silver bucket of ice water, and then put them in a canvas bag, which he shook around to get the leaves nice and dry. The aroma was out of this world. The burger was delicious and cooked to perfection. A tiny bit drier than some of the other great burgers I've had. Perhaps the meat was more lean than what I'm used to. The fries were killer, and I pretty much inhaled all of them. There's plenty of reasons to go back here. They have a ton of other sandwiches as well as salads that I'd love to try out next time.

Yelp
Finally they're available on SEAMLESS!! I ordered their classic Burger, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and Lobster MAC & Chz for delivery and though it quoted me 45 mins, it came in 25 and was still hot. Gonna be a regular thing‼

Yelp
I came here for a work lunch. Quaint little spot with a few tables that are perfect for groups of five and more. I ordered a short rib burger which came with a challah bun and salad. Good chunk of meat in this sandwich! The sunnyside up egg, bacon and cheese was a good combination. Definitely enjoyed it. I thought it was strange, unrelated to the meal, that they took away my water glass when I wasn't half done with the water. So odd. Other than that, the meal was good. Was checking out the chicken sandwich and BLT that looked great! Will return just for those.

Yelp
Super reliable spot for American fare for dinner, brunch and drinks. The food is consistent, the service is good and they usually have a reservation open or room at the bar. Great spot to host happy hours and bigger parties.

Yelp
We found this great American food place one Saturday just by walking in the city. The food here beats all our expectations. It's super delicious! The waiter was also very welcoming and attentive. We love the vibe here because it's super cozy and down to earth. We had the meatballs and tuna tartar for appetizers. For main course, we had grilled chicken and braised short ribs. They're both super delicious!!

Yelp
Such a great find. We talked in on a Saturday mid day and were seated without any hassles. The space is comfortable and warm, and the flavor profile is on point. I'll be back. Plus the waitress was excellent, competent and kind.
