Took my brother here before he left back to Cali... We started about 5pm but by 7, the place got packed for a Wed night. I always like to try either different beer or cider and this time I tried the Black Widow Cider which was delicious. The food was good nothing spectacular but good for gastropubs. Cool place to kick back with friends and enjoy some good drinks and food. Place gets pretty loud so be prepared to talk loudly even when the person is on the other side of table

BYO Burger is the way to go. They are very stingy with their sauce on other items (fried chicken sandwich came with less than a teaspoon of sauce, plus the chicken itself tasted unseasoned). Was very disappointed to waste money on this sandwich and not even be able to finish it. However, the burgers and fries are delicious, if a bit pricey. I won't make a mistake ordering other items again!

Sean immediately greeted us and offered us the best seat in the house on a fabulous afterwork impromptu. Followed by Steven’s yummy recommendations on the best food and drinks of the menu. It’s a must go to spot on a night you need to wind down and hang with your people’s! Sean and Steven is a tag team you wouldn’t want to miss. They definitely take care of you !

I order from here from time to time and love that their fries are hand cut, however, lately I’ve been noticing the fries come really dark and overcooked. I can tell the oil has not been changed and that ruins my meal as the taste completely changes and is no longer enjoyable to eat. Please consider changing your oil more often, fries should not be orange and hard.

This was a nice little spot for a casual dinner. They have a decent selection of craft beers on tap and a good menu of pub food including some creative burgers. I got the peanut butter. My first time having peanut butter on a burger but have to say, along with the ample bacon, it compliments it quite nicely. Nice big beefy burger as well. The tater tots are quite good too - nice and crunchy. I’d come back if in the neighborhood

Was on the way out the city. Decided to stop and grab some food a little later in the night around 11 pm stumbled on Harlem Public. Great atmosphere, great music, great service. Grabbed some wings and fries. Awesome wings, good size wings, crispy, really good sauce. Only let down was the fries bunch of little pieces, might have been because we were there a little late. But overall great experience. Will visit again.

An amazing neighbourhood spot, with hangover brunch food, awesome cocktails, and a fun feel. We’ve come many times and it’s a really great experience. The service is at times slightly slow, but servers are friendly, and the food is excellent. Edited Nov 2025 with more photos: we still love coming here, and while the Doritos quesadilla remains among the all-time favorites, the peanut butter burger was great and the Irish coffee martini was excellent.

Went on a Saturday night so the place was PACKED! Still had a fun time and my craving was fulfilled. I used to order from them a lot when they still had a spot a Northend which was MUCH closer to me than this location but craved their Poprocks marg and tater tots so much that I figured to take the trip and def worth the trip!

The music was great and the staff was super friendly. I got the hot fried thigh sandwich, and shared fried pickles and their public salad. The sandwich was huge and a good amount of spice. A standard fried pickles, but came with more than I expected. Love a little corn in a salad and the fried avocados were great

Every time I go I enjoy my seat at the bar and since it's usually just me, and I always find one. The staff is very attentive, the drinks and beers are delicious especially during this season. People are in their own space having their own conversations and not one person looks or feels uncomfortable in this place. I love it, the music is great, the food tasty and the people are always welcoming. Great establishment.

It's a pub. The food is designed to go with beer. If you don't like bread, breading or the oil it's fried in, this is not your place. If you do, you'll be happy, all else about it is fine.

Love Harlem Public. One of my go to casual spots Uptown when I feel like going out but not out out. I used to love their wedge salad. They need to bring that back. The wings are great. Nice and crispy then tossed in the sauce just way I like it. Fried pickles were on point. I ordered a salad & from the description on the menu it sounded like a Southwest salad. Not even close! So that was a bit disappointing but I still love this place. Our server was great. Sweet girls. They also both had really flawless nail sets. PURRR!

I have eaten here many times and I came recently on Friday night after the Yankee game. I was hungry and there kitchen is open until 12 am. We ordered the loaded fries and the chicken wings. I had the blackberry cider and my friend had the pumpkin cider. The food was really good, the loaded fries were delicious we probably could have had our own order. We ordered the wings and they were cooked perfectly but I would have wanted more sauce on them. The service was good and they were friendly. They let us know when the kitchen was closing and did not rush us. It had a nice ambiance and I would definitely recommend it to people who are in the area.

Great vibes! Really great beer selection! Great service! Great food! All members of party were very happy with the wings and mozzarella sticks! I had the spicy chicken thigh sandwich, I can't wait to return to try it again. The chicken was juicy, the hot sauce was full of flavor and plentiful. The slaw and pickles were perfect and enhanced the flavor of the sandwich and the warm perfectly toasted bread sealed the deal. You have a choice of fries, taters or sweet potato fies or a side salad. I went with fries. They were good, crisp outside and soft inside. They have a beer company of the month. I had the juice jolt and they had happy hour until 7. I had another IPA. My friends had the strawberry lemonade and they were enjoying it. The ambiance is chill. Great bar atmosphere! Our customer service provider was Camille and she was AWESOME! She was patient, quick, helpful and kind! I can't wait to go back!

The best lemon date vodka drinks for the summer! Very great and tasteful food! The tater tots were crispy and chewy on the inside. The fried pickles are my absolute favorite always. The servers are always pleasant and attentive. It's a nice sports pub vibe in there. Everyone having a chill time.

Great service, delicious food. Came here on a Friday afternoon and stayed for a good amount of time and never felt rushed or hurried. I have to say how nice the customer service was- very attentive and kind! I took a star off because food was tasty but I just thought a little pricey for the portion. But hey, it's NYC so maybe I shouldn't complain? $20 for a veggie melt and side salad. They also did not serve coffee. But they said we COULD go a few doors down to a certain coffee shop and bring it in. We were just already settled in by then....and it was too cold for us to justify going out there again haha!

Don't always overlook a completely understated entrance to a restaurant. Looks like a dive bar inside but still not dismayed it's worth the visit. Seats circling the bar with several tables throughout the dark wood accented interior. Scan the QR code to access the menu. Our waitress who was working alone juggling multiple tables was quick and efficient. The menu offers an array of appetizers and a large burger selection with catchy names like the Jive turkey burger, spicetown USA and wake and bake, that come with either traditional fries, sweet potato fries or tater tots. If you have a taste for something different there's pulled pork, chicken thighs or Harlem public spin on a BLT may interest you (it includes crispy fried chicken). We ordered the Daddy Mac burger and the build your own burger which was bought quickly and piping hot. My build your own was a well done burger it was juicy and spiced perfectly. One party ordered the Purple Rain cocktail which is Vodka, Lavender Simple, Fresh Lemon poured over ice.

"Close your eyes and choose" No wonder this spot is one of the highest reviewed and highest rated spots in Harlem. You can literally close your eyes and choose from the menu & it will be one of the best things you've eaten. The beers are seasonal & frustrating because once the season changes you can't find it again 5Stars for sure

Stopped for a burger during brunch time and the place was filled the whole time I was there. The turkey burger was good and I was looking for a good turkey burger for awhile now. You can customize your burger or order one of the speciality ones from the menu. I ordered a turkey burger with white cheddar cheese and lettuce with fries. They also have sweet potato fries. Harlem Public has bar vibes so it's real down to earth and laid back. The staff was always moving around and open to give suggestions if you're trying to decide what drink or meal you want to order. They also have tons of appetizers. I ordered the mozzarella sticks which were really yummy and had a good cheese pull. I thought they were a little overpriced but Harlem Public is a cool spot. I'd go back.

Came from a nearby hospital but didn't want to hang out so near there so walked here for 10 minutes to have lunch. Perfect neighborhood spot with plenty of outdoor seating decorated with flowers. Came for early lunch so we didnt order any drinks. Our server was very nice & patient. we didn't feel rushed at all the whole time we were there. We ordered wings & salad. Wings was good, crispy & well flavored. The salad was okey but kind of small for the price. Caesar salad is just romaine, dressing & cheese. doesn't even have crotons. a few more leaves won't hurt. My friends spring salad was better. She gave me a piece of her fried avocado that came with it & it was good. i think her salad is better than mine. Note to self to order that next time. fyi, tip options for this spot is 20-25%. I like the relax vibe of this place. I'm planning to come back one summer afternoon for a drink.

Service was truly great, would love to honestly hang out with all the staff, but the clientele/crowd here overall gave family-trip-from-Dublin. My friend noted the scene here had changed a lot since visiting frequently in the past. Menu is primarily bar-type food, of course a full menu but mostly of standard New American items and fried standards.

This restaurant has a large menu with lots of creative, tempting options. I ordered delivery. The fried cauliflower were super crispy. The cauliflower didn't have much flavor, but came with a tangy chipotle dipping sauce. I enjoyed them but they would've been better if fully tossed in a sauce. The mac and steez was great. They use shell pasta and top it with crunchy, flavorful breadcrumbs. It was very creamy and the mac was a good, firm texture. Looking forward to trying more of their menu in the future! They also have to-go cocktails for delivery which could be fun to try.

This bar is right up my alley. Give me drinks and real food and I can stay there all day. We came pretty late in the evening so the crowd was winding down for the night. But that's fine because we got a table right away. The server was very nice and the service was fast I was mostly stoked that they had a frozen drinks machine. They have some seasonal drinks but you can always get a frozen margarita. I think the next time I'd like to do it in reverse. Come here to eat and pre-game and end the night somewhere else. Or come earlier and spend the whole day camped out at the bar like a wino. If I lived in the area this could easily become my neighborhood bar.

I will say Instagram influenced me to come here. I was bored on a Sunday afternoon and wanted to watch some football and somehow landed all the way up here. The staff was extremely friendly, honestly some of the nicest I've had in NYC. They had PLENTY of options to choose from to sit, more outside than inside I believe. The inside dining area was good enough to accommodate a few parties of 4 or more but not too crazy, so the smaller the better. I will say, it was dark in there. I did feel like an old person turning my flashlight on a few times. The drinks were good, love frozen drinks so I'm biased to that. The food was good, definitely wasn't as flashy and glam as the IG posts but it did taste good. If I'm ever this far uptown I would come back. Can't believe I slept on this gem for so long! Quaint, cozy and welcoming yet chic and modern neighborhood spot. Drinks and food are a 10/10 (only thing is I wish they had like a spinach dip or some kind of chip app as i felt the app options were limited) we both got burgers and they were huge portions and delicious. Server and bartender were great-very down to earth and efficient. HP is smaller than I had imagined however there is a sister bar next door if you want more space/want to bar hop a bit. Definitely will be back!

This is a neighborhood bar, not really a restaurant. The lighting is dark. The clientele are drinking, some heavily. BUT, the food is good. The hot and spicy burger was yummy, as was the Skinny BLT. The wings were a C at best, as was the Caesar Salad. Service was good (husband just corrected me... outstanding! He also says the beer selection was fantastic.). The drink selection was very good. What a pleasant surprise. I've been meaning to stop in here for such a long time and finally made it here. Started with a Bronx pilsener (being a Bronx boy, what else could it be?) which was on point. Grabbed the sandwich that caught me eye a long time ago ... the peanut butter burger with bacon and fries. I wasn't sure if it was going to be outstanding or awful but fortunately it was really delicious. Skipped the cheese on the sandwich and the peanut butter was dripping off the sandwich but it was fantastic... Fries were crispy and well done, the way I like them. My companion ordered Loaded Grilled Cheese (cheddar, pepperjack, swiss, american with bacon guacamole and Doritos). I had a bite and it was pretty special. Service was meh and slow mid afternoon when it was fairly empty. Bartender noticed and came over to deliver our beers. Nice fireplace in the small but comfy area and topped it off with a scoop of ice cream across the street at Sugar Hill Creamery (very nice).

Today I stopped by Harlem Pubic and had the fried cauliflower and sweet potato fries. The food was fresh, the server was warm. It was lunch so there was no rush but I've passed by all week and it's always jumping so this was a great catch. Enjoyed my meal and the friend cauliflower was fried to perfection

Overall chill experience. Service was super polite and patient, loved her. Had the spice town burger, which tasted bomb. Only critique was that the seasoning most likely wasn't blended in fully so there were some strong bites of saltiness. Be aware this burger has raw jalapeños, I expected them pickled but I liked it either way.

If I make the trip up to this neighborhood to brunch with friends, I feel like chicken & waffle is a must. And theirs does not disappoint! Also, lots of outdoor seating for fresh air and fun people watching. Though it's worth noting that they don't serve coffee, which is very odd for a restaurant in the brunch game. Chicken & Waffles w/ Sausage Gravy: The chicken was just perfect. Dark meat nicely breaded and fried. It was boneless, so much easier to eat with the waffles. The waffles themselves seemed like the liège variety, where they were smaller and encrusted with sugar. While I normally like this crispy waffle, it was a bit sugar overload alongside the maple syrup, so maybe the traditional big fluffy waffle would have been better. Meanwhile, I was initially hesitant to get the sausage gravy, but decided to give it a try when offered as a side. It was excellent to dip the chicken in. So much flavor and nice large sausage granules. I still wouldn't want this poured over everything, but great to dip into at your own pace.

Great spot. Vibe is chill. The space is not huge but it doesn't feel claustrophobic at all. We enjoyed some wings, fried pickles and French fries. They were pretty good. Also enjoyed a few beers and an old fashioned. Look forward to coming back, though will aim to sit at bar next time. (Tables have those cheap backless chairs...not worth it!)

I went by mistake to this restaurant and I'm going to tell u i been back 3 times . I had the best fish sandwich that didn't stand a chance to capture a picture. The music was jumping the drinks was good the restaurant is cute and cozy. Just run into me on a Saturday for brunch here okay

I was visiting family in Washington Heights, NY and wanted to walk down Broadway to see what new spots we could check out. My sister suggested checking out Harlem Public in Harlem. This was a walk or short ride down the street. We decided to walk it. This is typically always a good idea because hello... you're in NYC and you walk. There's so much to see along the way sooo...walk if you can. Anyway, we headed out, had fun conversations and saw a lot of cool things walking from aThe Heights to Harlem Public. Once we arrived. I could see this was LBGTQ+ friendly. This was an added bonus because I always have a great time at these type of establishments. Super friendly, open minded and typically more fun. The decor was bright, eye catching and trendy. Very cute outdoor seating. Our waiter was so helpful, friendly and full of uplifting energy. Wish I could get this vibe everywhere. The vibe to me was NYC trendy & fun hang out spot. Exactly what I was as looking for. We all ordered a few drinks, had great conversations and enjoyed the scene. The IPA's are great. We ordered the Fried Avocado...yum! Get this! I loved this spot & it stood out from nearby bars/restaurants. So glad we found this place and it's a must when visiting the area.

Everything was decent, nothing was just overwhelming good, I gave this 3 stars but the customer service for the one guy working dolo kind of made me want to give it 4, we just tipped him extra instead. The pop rock margarita was good but I wish it was more pop rocks in it. Please make sure to sub the fries for something else though, they're below average. The fried pickles could be fried a bit longer to lock in the Crispness on the coating. The burger was good, it was a huge bite the whole way.

Great pub food with a down to earth atmosphere. We had the Mac and cheese, beyond burger and regular beef burger. All were very tasty. Service was also very attentive.

One of my all time favorite spots. The vibe is always fun and positive and the service is great. The best wings, sandwiches, and specialty cocktails.

Service over the last few months has deteriorated. Inconsistent service when you are dining-in, as well as when ordering delivery. I've gone in and have been ignored so badly that I literally had to walk in the path of a server just to be noticed. Also, there is a new thing of throwing unsanitary ketchup packets directly on your food. I understand that you don't need a college degree to work in a kitchen or as a server. However the bare minimum requirement should be to have common sense. To know that unsanitary ketchup packets that left a Heinz packaging plant and factory, shouldn't be thrown directly on food. So of course I requested and received a refund from Grubhub. Because no one should have to eat food that is possibly contaminated because of piss poor service. And this comes from someone who has a food handler license from the city, and also worked as a manager in hospitality. Do better, otherwise other entrepreneurs and business will gladly recieve my business, even if this monopoly has cornered the niche market between 150th and 151st on Broadway. Laughable. And here is a photo receipt of the bs, specifically my food littered with ketchup packets that could have touched the floor at some point, who tf knows!

This bar has really gone downhill. I used to come here all the time with friends. They had great drinks, the atmosphere was fun. But since the pandemic... Now, the servers just ignore you if you go with a party less than two, even if they're not as busy. They act like retail workers in fancy fashion stores, as if they're upset you're there. The drinks are basic and boring. And the food... Well they have a burger with peanut butter and jelly... Today was the last straw, after walking my dog, I stopped to get just a Seltzer and lime. I sat outside and waited for 15 minutes, watching the servers tend to other people (white people) and ignoring me completely. After a while of waving and signaling, I decided to leave. Do yourself a favor, walk a couple of yards and head to the Honeywell. Has better drinks, better atmosphere, server that are friendly and is not as gentrified.

HELLO!! Great salad here, fried avocado a 10, great seasoning outside and noice avocado inside. The salad portion is huge, and so fresh. Dressing so good and tasty here Always a go to order from me. Staff so attentive as always. Great drinks. Touchless menu, a plus. However, maple chicken is very dry. Not a fan.

This place never disappoints. It's def a fan favorite of mine. Hate they got rid out the poutine, it's so hard to find. The chicken and waffles with the gravy was a great choice. The sweet and salty balance was I'll definitely be back during my next trip!!

I was out shopping and stumbled upon this cool spot. I heard a lot of things about it but never had the opportunity to stop in. You walk in and high tables and low made of wood. The walls are decorated with picture frames some empty. It's your typical, I guess Harlem Bar. I had the pleasure of Chris serving me. Immediately came to us when we sat down. He had the whole floor but you could barely tell. He moved with grace and did it all with a big smile. ( big reason I'm coming back ) I was super indecisive but he was very knowledgeable about everything on that menu including drinks. I ended up with Chris first suggestion, Spicetown, USA. Whoa! What an insane burger. I usually don't order burgers when I eat out, but I was in a mood. Juicy cooked to a perfect medium. The Veggie options are good and I will be trying the Caesar salad on my return. That was the second suggestion! Hahaaa. I had a few Paloma's and Dusse neat. Anyway good good drinks, good food, what more can you ask for with a -14 wind chill. STAY WARM MY FRIENDS AND MERRY CHRISTMAS HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Got the Dorito quesadilla while at work. They were quick with their delivery. One of my new to go to now since it was shockingly flavorful and just delicious. Who thought throwing Doritos into a quesadilla with chicken would be so good! Also ordered a side of sweet potato fries and they were perfection. Definitely will order from this place again for sure

I liked the ambience and the mac and cheese was pretty good. Portion was kinda small for the price but I liked that they used shells and the cheesy sauce was the perf texture. Didn't try the drinks but food came out very quickly on a Tuesday night which was surprisingly a full house. We walked in with a huge group of 10 and they were very accommodating.

I had a pulled pork sandwich that was just delicious with the coleslaw on the side and tater tots. It was a juicy well seasoned and sauced sandwich. Gabe was my table's server, he was kind and attentive to our needs. We did outdoor seating and it was very comfortable and well lit.

Great place to meet friends and have a drink! Been coming to this place from years to have meetups with friends and strangers alike. It always lively and full of people. They have an outdoor space that is covered and open to the elements. Their menu is extensive, but it doesn't have many vegan options so be mindful is you are vegan. Despite this I would recommend going to just hangout and having a chill nights even if alone.

Harlem Public is a good spot to grab dinner before a show or game at Yankee Stadium. The vibes are very casual, and the prices are really reasonable. I appreciate the expansive menu here. To drink, I have to say that my favorite out of the 4 drinks we tried was the Cucumber Collins-second place was the Adalyn. I was sadly not a fan of the Twizzler Lemonade! They have plenty of vegetarian options as well food-wise. We tried a few different items: Parm Crusted Burger (sub Beyond patty), Mac & Steeze, Buffalo Cauliflower, and Fried Avocadoes. The food was good, but not great. Beyond meat is inferior to Impossible or other brands, and you can really taste the difference here-I sadly did not enjoy the burger because of this, but it has so much potential! My favorite item was the Buffalo Cauliflower-it's always one of my favorite things to eat. For all we ordered, the total was about $60 per person, which was definitely the highlight!

I got the Asian sesame wings ... but I counted 2 wings more to make it 10 total for 1 order . They have a peanut butter burger as well. The have Happy hour till 7pm during the week ! The have a good craft beer list . Next time I order the Tots as an appetizer! The bartender was great and there's tables inside the place for big groups!

Delicious outdoor lunch after walking along the river to the lighthouse under the GWB. Festive atmosphere even though it was mid-day. Service was very attentive and helpful. We enjoyed their beer of the month, and we both had delicious hamburgers and French fries. Highly recommend if in the area!

I've ordered delivery and been in person many times and it's always good. You can sit outside, at the bar, or a table although they mostly have high tops which are not my favourite. It does get busy and noisy so take that in to account. This is less of a chill dive bar and more of a groups of loud people place (although I have seen people with kids and they do have high chairs available). Subbing for the tots is worth it. The mac and skeeze is delicious. They have happy hour. You can also get vouchers as a gift for folks, which is lovely. I live around the corner now and when I want a burger I go here after work.
