"Harley Farms Goat Dairy hosts farm tours where guests can meet the goats and offers a shop with goat cheese festooned with flower petals, goat milk soap, and lotions. The farm also serves three-course meals and hosts art and photography workshops, plus singles events. Owner Dee Harley, an English expatriate and award winner, is married to Timothy Duarte. The farm is especially popular during 'kidding' season in spring." - Sharon McDonnell

I LOVE THIS FARM. So sweet and quaint! I loved every second. Our tour guide Bob was the BEST! I loved learning all the history of the town and farm. From start to finish it was a fun ride! Just ate the peppered goat cheese from the shop (where they make it!!) and it was so delicious. From the moment we arrived we were met by D and company and she was so lively with jokes and kindness. We will definitely be back in the spring to meet the new baby goats! To all the 2 star reviews I hope you enjoy the life you have because this made mine worth living! Thank you Harley’s Farm for allowing me to be a guest today!

We always love it here. The lavender lemonade could be the best on the planet. We got the goat cheese prepared that day with an edible flower in it. Amazing. And the sweet proprietor was a ray of sunshine! We felt so welcome.

Local goat farm and dairy shop. Cool dining spot on the second floor for private party. Fun but parking is a bit messy

OH MY GOSH I totally apologize I don't remember leaving a review and you guys deserve 1000+ stars. I think was sending the link to someone and accidentally clicked the review button. I love visiting Harley Farms year-round but it's so much fun to visit when it's baby season. Visiting the store is a must love all the different cheese and syrups. Look forward to seeing you all soon and again my sincere apology for the error I've never had a negative experience at Harley Farms. Everyone is so friendly and its a joy to have the opportunity to be able to visit a working farm. Brings back memories of growing on a farm back in India.

Google
A charming goat and Dairy Farm located in the sleepy town of Pescadero. While the farm is small, their shop has an extensive array of food, souvenirs, and a very lovely shopkeeper. We enjoyed looking at the goats, cows, and one sleepy pig named Tony on a sunny afternoon. We even got to pet the cat, Lucy, who probably has one of the best lives of any farm cat. Be sure to pick up some goat cheese and other snacks because everything is fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. The upstairs space above the store can even be rented for intimate, private functions.

Google
Lots of great cheese!! These folks don’t sacrifice quality for any reason! They have contributed mightily to the goat cheese industry with their innovative and delicious products. There’s plenty for youngsters to see. They have even have a goat petting area. This is a working farm, so it smells like a farm. Porta potty is your rest room. Young and old will love it.

Google
Fantastic little goat farm, with a great shoppe. Don't forget to bring a cooler, so you can stock up on all of the goat cheese options!

Google
Delightful to visit in the spring when the baby goats are there. Wonderful anytime of the year for their fresh goat cheeses and other farm fresh favorites in the shop.

Yelp
The owner and staff are angels. The goat cheese is so light and delicious. I always crave coming back for more. Getting to pet the cute baby goats is always a plus

Yelp
Adorable goat farm in pescadero which is one of the attractions of this lovely coastal town. It's free to visit the farm and see the goats, however the merchandise is quite expensive. They have a fantastic array of jams, soaps, cheeses etc, but be aware of the prices. It wasn't crowded when I went last Saturday, so it was nice to explore the grounds and see the goats. There were a few babies but I hear that there are many more in the springtime. It's a fun weekend activity, especially if you add on pigeon point lighthouse and lunch in half moon bay!

Yelp
Cute little goat farm. Nice place to stop with the kids. They have a limited offering of goat cheese. About 4 types. I bought a chèvre I think it was $12.00 for about 4 oz. They don't allow you to taste any cheese so you buy blind. It was good, very mild. I prefer a more robust flavorful Cheese.

Patty G.

Yelp
Went to visit the farm. 1st time for me but a favorite place for my friend. It was wonderfu!!! Will have to go back as the babies should be birthing in a couple weeks. The woman there came out from the shop to share some info with us. The best was getting a couple goat kisses!!!! Picked up some wonderful cheese and tapenade and crackers to snack on. Great time for sure!!!

Yelp
The animals are great. Be sure to go early spring to see baby goats. They are like puppies and are very soft to touch! Check out the store for some cheese, honey, lemonade, and meat. It's a small place and frankly you don't get to cover much ground without touring it. But the merch and cheese are worth driving to if you're in the Pescadero/Butano area.

Mramuto A.

Yelp
It's a cute farm with cows and goats. Little baby goats definitely attracted crowds. Petting goats were not an option here and the area they make cheese were somewhat closed to the public view so the store was pretty much the only area we can browse. Unfortunately I didn't feel the welcome vibe from the person working at the store and the cheese was priced somewhat "higher." We got goat cheese with chives and Apricot/Pistachio Goat Cheese (both were good with crackers) Overall this is a place good for quick stop for little ones.

Yelp
We had a lovely afternoon at Harley Goat Dairy farm! You get to see the adult goats, the baby goats. There are friendly farm dogs roaming the property, and a docile pony to pet! Farm workers came by to explain care for the baby goats, and we could see the dairy equipment. The location is idyllic with green hills and colorful flowers. The shop is cute. We went home with chive goat cheese and feta which were creamy and delicious! I wish they had fresh goat milk to taste, or goat milk ice cream/soft serve.

Yelp
I think I would have had a better experience if I had come in the spring when the baby goats were younger. But I came during the summer and so the goats were too big to be held. I came here for the farm tour with my parents. It was $55 per person for a 1.5 hour tour. Our tour guide spent the first 45 minutes talking to us about the history of Pescadero, the local Native American tribes who lived here, and the process of making goat milk into cheese. While I believe that these things are good to say, couldn't you give us the abridged version man lol?? My mom was falling asleep during her talk. Like let us have more time with the animals :( Anywho we did eventually get to see the baby goats, they only let us pet one of them but it had a bunch of bugs on it so I was a little reluctant to pet it. We were eventually let into the area with the adult goats. At first there is a little fenced off walkway where you can observe the goats while separated from them. I wish we had more time on this walkway to observe them and take pictures but instead, we were rushed to move through it quickly by the tour guide. It was kind of cool when our tour guide prompted all the goats to rush out of the barn and into the field; I had no idea how much pee and poo they would be doing though! You really have to be aware of where you're standing or else you'd get pee and poo on yourself. Naturally you will step on poo at some point during the tour. Honestly I was most happy petting the two dogs they have on the farm to protect the goats from predators. Goats are kind of scary man like there's a large amount of pee/poo, plus they will bite your clothes. At the end of the tour, you get to try a sample of cheese made from goat milk. This was very tasty. As participants of the tour, you get 10% off an item from the gift shop. My 3 family members each got a cheese since we learned that goat milk cheese is so dang good. My final thoughts are that I am glad that we came here to learn the benefits of goat milk, however I feel that the tour price is so ridiculous when most of it is just a lecture. You're better off just observing the animals from outside the fences, which you can do for free.

Yelp
Nice place to visit if you are on PCH near half moon bay. It is a fully working goat farm and you can see goats in the pen. The babies are born in spring and you can pet them through the fence. There is a nice store with a selection of goat cheese, honey etc. it's a little pricey. Cheeses are definitely worth it, other items not so much.

Katie R.

Yelp
Goat cheese and baby goats galore! We've been coming to Harley farms for at least a decade and never get tired of it. It's so much fun to come in late winter/early spring and see all the baby goats. We came the first week of spring this year and over 120 babies had already been born, with about 70 more expected. They have a pen of the young goats that you can stop by and watch and pet them. It was closed for entrance to visitors this time but in the past you've been able to go in and get up close with them. Aside from the goats they have a pig and lama, the lama when up close enough to see is Sumer fun to watch. Sometimes if you're lucky the barn cat will also make an appearance. Near the parking, which is plentiful, there's a pond with some picnic tables around it. You can get limited snacks in the shop or bring your own picnic - I recommend bringing them supplementing with some of the goat cheese. A tasting room also recently opened on the property, a nice addition to extends your time there. It seems every time we've gone the last few years the layout of the store has changed and they've added a new product, this time it was rosemary salted almonds. Goat cheese prices have increased quite a bit over the years and they no longer have cheese samples like they did before Covid, but one can't help but be mesmerized by all the offering they have. From olive oils, to honey, soap, lotions, and just about any variation of goat cheese you can imagine, it's hard to leave that shop empty handed...though it was even harder when samples were a thing.

Yelp
We've been coming here at least once a year for a baby goat tour since before my son was born (and he is 10 now!). Highly recommend coming between late Feb and early May to see the baby goats. If you just stop by, you can see them in the pen, but if you book a tour you can hold them (and they're so soft and snuggly!). The tour guides have always been so informative, but also friendly and welcoming, and so good with our kids. They also have a small shop with some tasty treats - lots of delicious and fresh goat cheese, but also local honey, jams, syrups, and even skincare products made with goat milk. You can also pick up a souvenir - hats, shirts, bags, even gorgeous wood cutting boards at the moment. They also have Farm Dinners if you're lucky enough to snag a spot (they go quickly), which I was lucky enough to attend this month for the first time. Everything was locally grown and caught, with many of the ingredients of our dinner coming from the farm itself. Chef Matt delivered a truly delicious meal, with everything seasoned and sauced to perfection. My side of the table requested some additional bread for sopping up the extra sauces - it was that good. The farm dinner also started with a tour and history of the farm, with a bit of baby goat cuddling time as well. We'll continue to book our annual tour, stop in for tasty treats when we're coastside, and hopefully attend more farm dinners when we get the opportunity. Harley Farms has been (and will continue to be) a very special place for me and my family.

Yelp
I have been coming to Harley Farms for over a decade. I have a soft spot for this rustic local business. A reservation and $55 is now required to tour (and essentially to pet the goats) which wasn't a requirement back when my daughter was young. Keep in mind it's still free to come to the Farm Shop and to view the goats from just outside the gate. We visit to soak in the pastoral Pescadero farm setting, and to shop in their retail farm store for fresh goat cheese. Favorites include the rounds topped with dried apricot or edible flowers or their goat cheese in olive oil, which is a nice and large party item. The shop has diversified and now sells a fancy $12 lavender lemonade and an assortment of pricey, lux goat milk body products, but I'm primarily a sucker for their refrigerated goat cheese rounds.

Yelp
There is a goat farm in Pescadero, owned by the wife of Duarte's owner, that provides some time with the goats. The farm also has a very nice store with house made cheeses, local jams, farm honey and different meats. No goat meat though. There is a picnic area down by the pond with tables and benches. Can you say "idyllic"? A local winery holds tastings in the large barn. Where there are more goats. =!8^] The tour was very thorough with lots of history, and goat handling . BTW, they hire their goats out as "lawn mowers" if one is interested. We went through the entire farm with a very knowledgeable guide. We went out into the pasture where we had the privilege of having goats lick, tug and gum your loose ends. Pretty funny. We meandered over to the new goat pens where we were able to "play" with the new goats. They are a hoot. Very friendly and inquisitive. They will allow one to pick them up for photo ops. And they can ham it up. We left with a number of delicious souvenirs, and a rez for the farm dinners they hold in the upstairs dining room.

Yelp
I love this place. Full disclosure though, I might be just a bit...very...biased because I love baby animals, especially baby goats. I think baby goats became my favorite farm animal of all time. We went in March, and apparently there were 120+ baby goats when we visited, and they're expecting ~250 babies to be born this year (spring time). You'll see (and touch) the baby goats right next to the parking lot. They're so cute! They run toward you for attention too. The goats were split into multiple sections. You'll be able to see the even younger babies behind the grass-chewing baby goats near the parking lot fence, but there was another enclosed pen near the store for you to pet the baby goats. The grown-up goats are all the way in the back, in the open grass area, 1 minute walk away from the parking lot. I saw an llama, but he/she was kinda far. I didn't see the donkey that people mentioned in the reviews and I didn't get to go in the barn, but I'm sure you'll get to get to see everything and get a closer experience with the animals if you opt for the paid tour. To get to the shop from the parking lot, you'll have to go around (head toward the street) to find the entrance. They have a lot of interesting goat-related items in the shop, including olive oil, honey, crackers, lotion, cheese, souvenirs, ready-to-eat food, salami, ravioli etc. By interesting, I meant different flavors. Lotsa habanero items there too. The goat cheese are located inside the mini fridge (there are 2 mini fridges). We got a savory puff pastry (asparagus and goat cheese) and a lavender honey goat cheese. The puff pastry tasted great, especially with the goat cheese, I just wish it was warm. The lavender honey goat cheese was expensive compared to the other flavor available there, but wow, it tastes soo good. I loved that goat cheese is soft and creamy, but I'm even more amazed that I was actually able to taste both the honey and lavender in the cheese. I paired the cheese with an original-flavored thin crisp that I bought from Whole Food. I requested to go here since I was looking for things to do in the Bay Area. Originally, I wanted to go for hikes, but it was supposed to rain, so I purposely only planned to go to the farm. It was definitely worth the long ride over! You get to enjoy the pretty scenery along Highway 1.

Michele R.

Yelp
Let me admit right up front that I'm obsessed with goats, especially baby goats. They have baby goats right now so I got to pet them, one decided my finger seemed better than the apple but I didn't mind. They also have a cheese shop to check out

Yelp
Little Billy goats everywhere! My heart explodes with happiness for this unique experience of nature, at this beautiful farmstead and local gem. If you're planning a trip, make reservations in advance, since the tours fill up quickly. You can visit the property without a tour, however. We we given the opportunity to join in the baby goat tour with the mamas and babies, on a beautiful Saturday morning. This gorgeous working farm has acres of natural beauty, and is just a short jaunt from Half Moon Bay. Walking into their pens with them surrounding us, and being able to learn about them, and give them extra love. All the while them trying to nibble our laces, jackets, and anything they could get to. It's literally joyful. Hannah, our guide, was a lovely and knowledgeable woman about all things goat related. She took on a tour of the property, coupled with opportunities to hold the baby goats, and meet and greet the others; their pens and milking areas, and more. Other animals were also found throughout our time there, including their farm dogs, and their alpaca "Jimmy". We didn't greet Jimmy, as he is protective and can spit a nasty game. Steered clear of him. At the conclusion of the tour, we opted to venture into their shop with fresh goat cheese aplenty, along with oalliebery jam and nectar. Since they are a Farmstead, all is made in house from the bounty found on the farm. Absolutely delicious, and so fresh. Thank you for the experience. We cannot wait to return.

Yelp
I had been wanting to visit Harley Farms for years, but I was very disappointed with the actual visit. I was most shocked with prices at the store. It is clearly geared toward the wealthy who come from the Peninsula and Silicon Valley. Yes, I understand that prices are rising everywhere, but there is clearly a huge markup of everything. And before you criticize me, I have been to many places such as this around the country and in California. This was ridiculous. I enjoyed seeing the baby goats, but there was not much else to do there. If you do make it to Pescadero, stop by Arcangeli Grocery Company. The sandwiches were really yummy and they had very reasonable prices for a large sandwich.

Suzanne H.

Yelp
I'm repeating what everyone else has said..it's a fun experience seeing the babies, learning about hand feeding them as soon as they are born, seeing the adults and other animals...including dogs to guard the goats. The store is well supplied with cheese, soaps, lotions, etc. and the atmosphere is friendly and warm. A good stop for the young and old.

Laureen P.

Yelp
Oh my GAWD! If you love baby goats, you NEED to visit this place! All the animals are sweet though, but there's nothing cuter than sweet baby goats! Food is great and had a super fun day here! Kids loved it too!

Glen N.

Yelp
Is it remarkable? No. Is it free and convenient? Yes. Is there much to do beyond wine tasting (a small room that looked vacant), taking a $55 tour, or checking out the gift shop full of stuff like cheese, jams, honey, and goat milk soap? Not really. But is there a donkey? Yes. Yes! And that's why you stop here on your PCH day trip. To see Rosie the donkey and some pygmy goats. Do her a favor and pet her. Not sure if she likes it but at least the flies have to move out of the way for a moment. PS. You're not supposed to bring her an apple to eat, so don't bring her an apple whatever you do.

Elle S.

Yelp
Today I came to see the baby goats from outside of the gate. I was very sad to see an employee shove and kick the baby goats. At first it was just a light push, then he started shoving them very hard back into the gate while yelling. At one point I saw him kick the goats and 2 of them hit each others heads from the force.

Squirrel G.

Yelp
Besides the friendly staff and adorable animals, including the resident black cat and large dogs, and Jimmy the alpaca, the cheese store (gift shop) on site has quite possibly the best vanilla pots de crème I have ever tasted. They're labeled as "milk pot" and contain just four ingredients: cow milk, sugar, vanilla bean, gelatin. They have other flavors, including chocolate, lemon, and olallieberries. The store also sells goat milk soaps and lotions, and non-goat olive oils, crackers, and goat cheeses. The goat milk cheesecake we tried was well made, quality-wise, but it wasn't to my taste, though it did contain lemon, which I usually do like, and the crust seemed to be made with nuts, which was unexpected as there was no label or warning. I wish I had thought to buy more of the vanilla milk pots, as the texture and taste was so creamy and high quality and rich. I would go back for that again alone.

Christina L.

Yelp
This is an adorable, quaint, little goat farm! // T I P S If you want to schedule a tour of the farm (which includes the chance to hold a baby goat), make an appointment online IN ADVANCE as the appointments get booked up fast! Picnic appointments are also available online. This is more of an afternoon snack rather than a full meal and includes scones, butter, cheese, fruit, etc. If you aren't able to schedule a tour or picnic, don't worry because you can still visit and walk around the facility on your own. You can even greet the goats (and baby goats) through their pens. A wash basin with soap is also available in the event that you pet the animals. // S T O R E They also have a small shop that sells both sweet and savory goat cheese options (obviously), fresh jam, honey, various spicy oils (to pair with the cheese), goat milk skincare products, etc. They also sell the famous garlic herb artichoke bread from Arcangeli Grocery! // P R I C E S Be warned - the prices of the products in the store are really high!!!! This isn't somewhere I would visit very often, but this is also the definition of supporting a small, local business (especially during the pandemic) so it's definitely worth a try :) // O V E R A L L Although I think this is a really cute place to visit, it's not necessarily a place you would spend a ton of time at (keeping in mind I was not able to book a tour). In total, I think we spent around 30 min walking around the farm + shop. I do think this would be a great place to bring small children, especially if you are able to make an appointment for an official tour.

Susy P.

Yelp
This business in Pescadero is one of our go to places when we have friends and family visiting the coast side. The service is amazing. Their shop has luscious treats. One of my favorites is the lavender lemonade. And the cheese... The cheese is wonderful. I love their lotions and soaps. they are always very friendly. It is also very fun to see the goats.

Yelp
Best goat cheese ever!!!! My boyfriend and I were quickly running out of COVID-safe outings to go on when he came across Harley Farms on Yelp. I love goats and all animals and this farm was much closer than the ones we usually frequent. Here's what we loved about Harley Farms: + spacious farm, easy to socially distance and feel safe + free entry! You can just walk up and visit the animals. They also have tours you can pay to go on. + CHEESE + HONEY Paradise! The first time I visited, I bought a small portion of the goat cheese, pistachio, and apricot cheese combo. It lasted like an hour in my house, everyone was so obsessed. I was kicking myself for not buying more. Our next visit, I made sure to stock up! The honey is also amazing! Worth a stop! Short drive from the Bay in Pescadero. Fun for the kids as well as adults. Best cheese ever, it really puts grocery store cheese to shame. Support local farms!

Ada B.

Yelp
I visited this place in 2019 as well as yesterday, and it has only gotten better! The tour guide, Bob, is a very funny and sassy man. My group loved having him lead us. He's very knowledgeable about the history and day to day workings of the farm. We loved him!!! Harley Farms is an absolute must visit! You get to see baby goats, anatolian shepherd dogs, even an alpaca. You get to hold baby goats!!! Make sure you dress in clothes and shoes you don't mind getting poop on; after all, it is a farm. You got some of the best fresh goat cheese I've ever had (try the herbs de provence one and the apricot and pistachio one!). The jams and syrups are excellent too, not to mention the lotions. All made in house!

Ruthanna H.

Yelp
The staff at Harley Farms are some of the nicest and most down to earth people around. I booked a Farm Tour and loved every minute of it. Our guide, Rita told us about the history of the farm, then we got to meet the mama goats, and finally (drumroll please...) the baby goats. Everyone had an ample amount of time to pet and hold as many baby goats as their heart desired. After having our fill of baby goats we toured the milking station and the dining room in the barn above the gift shop. Our tour ended in the gift shop, where I picked up some goat milk cheesecake (with gluten free macadamia crust!) and lavendar and honey goat cheese. Both were delightful.

Vivian J.

Yelp
Cute Goat Farm! We had such a great time at Harley Farms! We didn't do the tour since it was a bit late in the day and pricey for 4 people. Our girls loved seeing the little baby goats and the sweet kitty on the fence. We also saw a donkey and a couple of huge sheep dogs. The dogs were funny just hanging out with the sheep not running around at all. They have a cute pond with picnic tables is you want to sit and have a little lunch or snack right by the farm. Tons of goat cheese, honey, jam and goat milk soap to buy at the gift shop. It's a bit pricey but support your Mom & Pop shops.

Eric J.

Yelp
Times are different ...... Call ahead to arrange a basket to enjoy in the field nearby or order and enjoy the goats while you wait for your basket to be prepared. When I was there, only 2 people allowed inside store at a time. I bought green pea soap that was canned in a jar. I heated it up tonight, OMG! This is the best green pea soup that I have had! I hope it is a regular item! Rich & creamy! If you are nearby, this is such a fun place to explore! The goats, the farmhouse, and the store! Cheers! Eric

Yelp
**SUPPORT LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES** As a part of our trip down PCH we wanted to visit the little town of Pescadero and had read about Harley Farms. We took the $55 farm tour. We got to learn about the history of the farm and the dairy. We also went across the street to see the garden, which is where they hold some of their events such as weddings. They've got bees (they make and sell their own honey) and orchards there too. We missed the kid season which is apparently Feb- May. However, we did see the "teenagers." Overall walking around for about 1 hour. If you take the tour you get 10% off at the shop. We stopped by and after talking about goat cheese all morning we needed to try some. It's definitely not cheap though- $14 for a small 4 oz log, $26 for the famed lavender + honey combo. We bought the artichoke bread from Arcangeli and that plus the chives goat cheese together is AMAZING. Highly recommend. As a bonus, this farm is owned and ran by a woman, Dee Harley. I'm all about supporting female owned businesses!

Cheryl M.

Yelp
Wonderful place to visit to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and just zen. I usually visit at least once a year to see the cute goats, sample and purchase their wonderful cheeses (love the dried apricot and sun- dried tomato), truffles, amazing raviolis and indulge in their 4-course Farm/Dairy Dinners in the hayloft. I've been fortunate to have dined twice at Harley Farm's...once for a wedding and another for their Summer Solstice dinners which were both a wonderful experience and treat. I came here with 5 friends which included the dairy/farm tour, sampling of their cheeses with dinner afterwards. Seating is at a communal table (a little snug) in the beautiful hayloft with cute touches of farm-picked flowers, candlelight, appetizer and warmly welcomed by the owner, Dee Harley describing the evening menu. Started off with simple cantaloupe with their goat cheese...I'm not a fan of melons but this was a great pairing and slightly converted me to liking cantaloupe...of course, only with goat cheese! Next dishes: * ENGLISH PEA SALAD with lemon zest, mint, olive oil and ricotta. Simply delicious, refreshing and perfectly blanched. * RICOTTA and CHEVRE RAVIOLI tossed in brown butter, sage with wild mushroom was superb with the creamy, nutty, and earthy...just one of the best! * VENISON with a wine reduction - cooked perfectly rare and not overly seasoned * DESSERT - ricotta with strawberry and balsamic compote finished off the meal nicely! Wonderful experience to dine with friends and make new friends over a great meal in a relaxing and laid-back atmosphere....afterwards you just want to hit the store and buy more cheeses and some ravioli to take home! :) Note: Make it a day by stopping at the various, garden nurseries, Pigeon Point Lighthouse, and grab some garlic/artichoke bread, dipping oils from Arcangeli's :)

Yelp
I discovered this place over the summer and have visited a few times. You can visit the goats, dogs and cats around the farm. Get place to bring kids! They have a fantastic shop with cheese, body care products, honey, spices, sauces and more. The milk pots and chocolate pots are incredible - they are similar to pana cotta. I've always bring home a few. I stopped by the other day to pick up some Christmas gifts. I think there are some great options if you need to do some last minute shopping!

Michelle L.

Yelp
Not too pleased with my visit here. We were planning a little day trip out to the Pescadero area to check out the beach, do some hiking, and stop by at Harley Farms to hopefully meet some goats. We saw that the farm offered tours at two set times: 11am and 1pm on Saturday. That didn't quite fit into our schedule but there was this line on the tours page of their website: "Or just drop in during open hours (Friday-Sunday 11am-4pm) - you are welcome to visit without booking a tour." We show up at about 2:00pm. The farm plus the cheese making area is pretty tiny. If you're just dropping by to visit without a tour it would take you 30 minutes to see the entire thing and visit the shop. There isn't a lot to see if you don't take a tour as I'll explain later. The shop is extremely squishy so it make take you extra time as you're trying to get around people in the store or waiting. There wasn't any employee that seemed to be in a greeter or receptionist type role. There were only 3 employees in the store, 2 of which were swamped at cash and one that was working behind a refrigerated display case. We were hoping to ask someone about a tour so we wandered out to where the goat pasture is and noticed there was a man that seemed to be explaining things to people. We tried to walk over and were quickly shouted at to stay behind the gate if we weren't part of a tour. Not having anyone else to ask a question to, we headed back in the store and asked one of the store employees if it would still be possible to get a tour or interact with the goats. She let us know that you can ONLY do tours booked through the online portal. This leads me to my complaint which is that the site is a little misleading. You are certainly welcome to visit the farm anytime without booking a tour because they have a store and of course they want to sell their cheese. If you want to meet farm animals, there are petting zoos within the San Jose area city limits so I wouldn't waste my time going out this far. If your main goal was to tour the cheese making facilities, I will again add that the area is very small so it might not be worth your time. The shop has a lot of samples but I was pretty turned off by all flies swarming the food left out that I skipped eating anything. My recommendation is to make sure you book a tour if yo have your heart set on this particular farm.

Yelp
The baby goats are so cute! If you are more into hanging with the animals then listening to a lecture on food and goats then go with the family tour. Not the adult. Also make sure to wear shoes and cloth that you don't mind getting poop on. Real talk. Easy parking. Nice staff. Nice cheeses! I highly recommend this activity to any age group. Will come back!

Yelp
Cool little goat farm. You can interact with the younger goats, not the babies of course. Cheeses are very good from the shop which has their branded products. Good for kids to interact with the animals for a bit.

Yelp
Best Goat Cheese EVER!!!! For anyone not sure how they feel about goat cheese, this is the place to come. The cheese does not leave your palate with a "goaty" taste. It is so mild yet so creamy. The infused herbs, or cranberry or apricot are such an added bonus!! Take a little walking tour and meet the creators of the cheese-- 5 stars all the way!! Can not wait to make a trip down the coast again to get some more.

Yelp
Amazing cool little farm in Pescadero with so many cool goats and a donkey. I've always wanted to come see this place and finally made it. Located just a few minutes past the main road and town and toward the northeast end is the creamery and farm. With about two buildings; one to milk the goats and one as a shop you can explore around and see these cute awesome goats. The shop has lots of local products like honey, fresh cheese and other handmade items. There is also a few picnic tables outside of you want to come out and enjoy the day while watching the goats. Plenty of parking and friendly staff to help you out. Unfortunately when I went it was a cold wet day so I couldn't enjoy it much and that goes for the goats too as they were all inside staying warm. Take a weekend and go explore the coast, play in the beach and go to town for lunch or dinner and go see these goats.

Yelp
The goats are so adorable and they have a group tour you can do. There is also a store to purchase fresh items made with goat milk. The kids are super cute and friendly. I really love this place.

Yelp
If you are in to goat cheese then you'll want to come here and get some. It's a fresh as you can buy it. Check out the goats that the cheese is made from. I got to pet the little ones. They are so sweet! Lots of local flavor in the form of nectars , honey, and other tastes. This shop is one of a few places we will visit when we are in the area. Back to the petting of the baby goats. There is something satisfying about petting those baby goats. They acted a bit like puppies and they would actively try to suck on your fingers! It melted me. Regular customer for life.

Yelp
Spring is baby goat time. When we arrived, there were 106 and when we left, there were 112 baby goats born so far this spring. The kids will love it. Get your fresh goat cheese and other goat related products. Honey too.

Yelp
We love visiting Harley Farms whenever we drive down the coast. Today it was a MoMA in attraction for us, to visit the baby goats, see the area, and buy some fresh delicious goat cheese products. My daughters like the mint lip balms, we love the goat cheeses and raviolis. It's a bit pricey but we are glad to support this sweet local business.

Yelp
Went with my boyfriend for our anniversary today: Tour with Hannah was awesome! She did a great job especially with our small tour group, learned a lot from her today. Farmstead was beautiful, we traveled from Livermore and it was worth the drive. Loved walking around and learning each component of making it work, and she was super receptive to questions. Appreciated that she made sure we were safe when Jimmy started acting like a jerk. Shop is expensive but that's expected and totally worth it. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Harley Farms is really cute. Drove past it and decided to stop in. From the parking lot there were a ton of goats, who seemed friendly and a cute donkey. The donkey came up and let me scratch it's head and rub it's ears. He was super friendly. From there, I headed into the fenced area to see a big group of happy visitors petting goats. There are tours but I missed it. Bummer! Still, it was just great to see the people happy and that the goats all seemed excited for some pettings. If you want to go on a tour, I learned you have to book online at their website. The shop was really cute and neat. They sell farmstead cheeses, farm honey, jams, jellies, vinegars, lotions, soaps, chocolate truffles, t-shirts, goat inspired cards and lemonade! The chocolate truffle ($3) was yummy but I don't think I would get one again. The lemonade ($7) was in a mason jar and delicious. I'd recommend getting the lemonade. If you like goats, this is definitely a place you should visit!

Yelp
Near the coast. Nice living conditions for the goats and they seem well and healthy. Cute baby goats. Hand washing station with Meyer's soap. Cute gift shop with great goat milk lotion and amazing chocolate chip cookies! Friendly service.

Yelp
TOUR (5 stars) MONTHLY DINNER (3 stars) The tour is $30. The monthly dinner is $150 - Provided you can actually get the coveted reservation (it includes the tour, so count dinner at $120/person). You need to bring your own wine. I actually got reservations to the June Monthly dinner back in November. I was super excited - I went with my husband, and my friend also got 2 tickets. (NOTE if you are going to go with friends who are purchasing their own ticket be sure and make note of it in your reservation so that they seat you together- we got there and swapped name place settings. We realized was not the best idea - since the servers had identified who had what dietary preferences and we kinda screwed them up, and we apologized. The tour was great. If you are there for the dinner- the tour includes lemonade and a few of the cheeses are out with bread. Also if you are there for the tour they let you use the "good" bathrooms not a porta-potty. The tour was great - we got to go into the fields with the goats and learned all about the history of the farm, tasted teeny bits of cheese, and washed our hands to get ready for dinner. The dinner is upstairs in the beautiful barn - with handcrafted table and handcrafted/uncomfortable chairs. Be warned - the chairs are skinny and the pack you into that table - I literally could barely move my arms to cut my meat. The appetizers were the absolute best part of the meal. Bacon wrapped asparagus, melon with a hot jelly and a bit of mint and cheese, a gallete with onion and apples and some kind of cheese, cold strawberry soup. For me the rest of the meal was downhill. (little signs on the appetizers would have been nice so we could identify them) Dinner menu: a few highlights: pasta course and dessert, but overall kind "meh" for me... (Salad) Kale salad with duck and a bit of cheese, (Pasta) this was the best one -a cheese ravioli in a brown butter, (main) venison with potatoes and a peppercorn sauce and (practically raw/uncooked) broccoli and cauliflower (lots of people let it on their plates uneaten I noticed, (Dessert) an apricot and cheese pot with grilled marzipan and a strawberry/goat cheese truffle. The suggestions I would have to improve the dinner would be to: -Have less people at the table so everyone (except the LUCKY people at the end) so you are not wedged in at the table (it was literally worse than the middle seat on a coach airplane, at least there you can claim the arm rests) - Have "K" come up and at least greet us if she is around - she did come and say hello to some people she knew in the garden, but did not acknowledge the rest of us - Have a menu posted (either online the morning of, at each place setting or have a couple out during the appetizers) - so we can see what is coming and pace/anticipate accordingly I am still thrilled to have gone, we bought lots of cheese to take home.

Yelp
Fun place to visit! My granddaughters love the baby goats and I love to pick up some fresh goat cheese.

Yelp
Cute little farm in Pescadero! My bf and I stopped by Harley Farms on our way down to Costanoa. There were so many animals there - a bunch of 10 day old baby goats, plenty of adult goats, an alpaca, dogs, a cat, and donkeys! The baby goats were out in a small fenced area and we were able to take pictures and pet them through the fence. After we were done petting the animals, we headed into the store and tried out some cheeses and jams. We ended up buying some of their truffles to try out and they were good! Next time I come back I hope to go on the tour so I can interact with the animals even more. The farm dinners also sound fun, you get a five course feast prepared with local food! I wish I found out about Harley Farms sooner so that I could have booked either a tour or the farm dinner. This is definitely a good place to stop if you're in the area!

Yelp
I'm not really sure how I learned about Harley farms, I'm sure I had been camping at one of the 2 campgrounds nearby, drove past over 1000 times before I discovered it. This is the best little goat farm in the world I always come here for the lavender goat cheese, honey and jam. Everything they have is amazing. And I love bringing my kids in the spring. The baby goats come around April-March. They are so so soo much fun to watch, frisky and playful. I'm so glad we have this spot on the coast. Also the venue is an amazing spot for a party of you happen to need that sort of thing. My wife had a company event here and they took a great deal of care to make sure it was amazing. The barn is a great rustic gathering spot and the food is 5 star.
