6 New Things To Do & Eat In San Francisco This Week May 11, 2021 - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Last week, Harmonic Brewing opened their second location at Thrive City by the Chase Center. Head over to their massive outdoor patio (they also have indoor seating) and soak up bay views with a pint of beer, or catch a Warriors game - they’ll be showing all home and away games. Harmonic will also serve pizzas, soft pretzels, bagel dogs and more from nearby Neighbor Bakehouse." - julia chen 1

What a total cool brewery to hang out at. Food really good and great IPA's. The atmosphere is outstanding with indoor and outdoor seating. It is right next to (literally) Chase Center where the Warriors play and other concerts etc. perform.

Google
Very good cider, and the pretzel is to DIE for! If you get one try the cheese dip! Service is also very good, you get in a line and order at the front and I actively see employees looking to wipe tables. Views are also really nice!

My first concert experience at Chase Center was to see Bryan Adams and Joan Jett. I know I’m late to the party but at least I’m here now. Unlike my typical routine, we showed up well before the concert doors opened so we walked o er to Harmonic Brewing for a beer and bite to eat. We sat outside which can be challenging since this area is typically windy and cold but we managed ok. Service was great and the beers excellent. We ate the food so fast I’m not sure how it tasted. I’m not sure when I’ll be back to Chase, hopefully soon to see another Warriors game and I’ll be sure to arrive early for a treat at Harmonic.

After an evening watching AEW at the Chase center, my friends and I headed next door to Harmonic Brewing Thrive to kill some time while the crowds and traffic dissipated. Despite it being a Sunday night and Google stating the establishment closed at 9pm, they were open and welcoming business. Both of the beertenders were friendly and attentive. The beer was cold, delicious, and a perfect way to kill time. They also had an offering of foods such as pretzels, nachos, empeñadas, and tacos amongst others. The food was served quickly and was good. There were plenty of games available if that was your proclivity as well as an assortment of swag, should you want to advertise Harmonic while out and about. There weren’t bathrooms inside, however they were close by outside the establishment. The beer was a little pricey at $10 a pint, but an absolute bargain compared the $18.50 prices at the Chase Center! My advice? Go before your show/game to whet your whistle and then again after to do what we did and avoid the clog of traffic.

Brewery SF What a great not-so-hidden gem! When I’m out drinking I got to have my OHCap, the new hangover pill on the block, perfect for this happy hour with my coworkers who drink like a fish…I have to keep up. It helps me prevent these nasty hangovers I get nowadays. I’ve been to chase center a few times for warriors games but never had a chance to explore. Hidden gem for me but not for everyone else I guess. We spoke with the lady bartender who was really nice and helped us recommend drinks. The space is huge too…fairly empty on this Wednesday but I’m sure packed on game day. The only knock I have about this place is that the restroom is outside around the corner. No biggie though. Drank more than I wanted to but again, just thankful I had these pills to save me. Washed a couple of these down with delicious beer and woke up feeling fresh the next day.

Google
Great place to stop before an event at Chase. Usually has seating because it's towards the back of Chase not sure to many people know about this place. Good selection of beers, 3 types if wines, they have soft drinks and limited food offerings.

Google
Food was really good! Had the pretzel dog, pretzel, cubano (filled pastry), mushroom pastry, and chicharones. For beer, I liked the Strat Attack, which was a bright IPA.....tasty. the open-layout with many windows gives the place a great ambience. One of the partners, who talked to us about the Warriors game, accommodated our request to turn one of the TVs to the SF Giants game, and he was kind enough to do it at Warriors halftime. Great place to have food and a beer. Kudos to ownership!

Google
This is the new location of one of our favorite SF brewery situated right at the south end of Dogpatch. We love their beer and had drank so much at their Dogpatch brewery that we had to come back again later to try out this new location. But it looks like they great vibe and people are already noticing this local gem, which we would recommend without any reservation. If you are a true beer lover, you should also try out their brewery just a few min drives away in Dogpatch. If you're lucky, you can even meet their brew master Eric there. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
If you want sunny vibes on the patio, decently priced and tasty beer, some good food options to go with it - Harmonic does a great job! Friendly staff makes it a very welcoming experience - please don't skip on this place especially during a warm weather weekend!

Yelp
Fantastic service, decent rotation of beer, cider, wine (though smaller than most breweries), great views, and decent enough food. The location can't be beat if you're looking for a place to hangout before a Warriors game. It's on the 2nd floor (easiest to find if you go up the stairs from the northeast corner of Chase center) and there are sweeping views of the Bay. There are about 2 dozen tables inside, seats at the bar, and many tables outside. Inside, you can order with a QR code for delivery to the table or just go up to the bar (super quick service). There are 3 TVs usually playing different games. They have 9 and 16 oz pours, we tried their flagship Harmonic and a cider and both were tasty. For food, there are nachos, tacos, empanadas, and other small bites. Be advised that street meter parking can be a challenge and particularly expensive on game days.

Yelp
Food was awful. My nachos came out very cold. My pretzel was hard and not as soft. You have to scan the menu and order your food and beer. Then someone will finally bring your items. We waited over 30 minutes for our food to come and it was cold. Never saw a server at all. There was a party going on at the restaurant next to us and they were ordering beer here. The beer is good here. But, the service for people who are dining here. My experience here was not good at all. Don't know if I'll come back.

Yelp
Great spot to grab a drink/ snack before a game. Rotating beer menu with a variety of options, including ciders and non-alcoholic choices. Even better on a nice day to sit on the back patio and enjoy views of the bay!
google avatar

Amber L.

Yelp
It's a good place to go after a WNBA game. Nice and calm ambiance and the bartender has great recommendations. The beer is good and the pricing makes it even better. Would come here before and after events at Chase Center.
google avatar

Alex D.

Yelp
The beer selection was great, and the ambience of the place was also great. The balcony views of the bay were incredible and I would definitely have a beer here again.
google avatar

Mike V.

Yelp
New favorite pre-concert/pre-game spot. Very good empanadas, great small bites like giant pretzels, very generous pours, and great views. Even a TV they roll outside for other games.
google avatar

Anthony H.

Yelp
The beer is good and there are a lot of options but it's not well heated, the acoustics are not great and it just doesn't have the ambiance to make it feel like a good place to hang out with friends. The service is fast though so that's a plus. There aren't that many food options especially for vegetarians. If they added some decor, sound absorbers and more food options this place could be great.

Yelp
Coming to Thrive City before a concert, we found the shortest line here to get a bite. Though the dining room tables were full, the line to order food and drinks was relatively short. There were only four people ahead of us with two order stations open. We quickly learned that the soft tacos were sold out so we pivoted. After ordering, we went to the outdoor seating area and found a high top table next to a window. My companion saw a high top open up inside so we moved there after a five minute wait. The cashier gave a pager unit, told us the expediting station location, and that the food would take about 15 minutes. The customer flow was steady but not overwhelming. About 20 minutes later, our pager lit up so I called to the expediting station. A gentleman in a ski hat placed our food on a tray and pointed to a table with utensils and napkins. I tried the ham and cheese empanada (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=IAd9tOYiG-w-hkGpwpEXEQ) which was warm and cake with dipping aioli; the filling (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=IC7hO0VeY_LeFl1iQR3UNQ) was clean and simple yet tasty. I dipped it into the aioli but preferred it without it. We shared the nachos with pork (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=d4MdZ-KHa-6FxfLgqcxz-A) which was a generous portion of tortilla chips topped with shredded pork, cheese sauce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, and pickled jalapenos. It was an interesting mix of textures and flavors. My friend feared the spiciness of the jalapenos which I found more pickle-y than spicy. The kind cashier pointed us to the water station in the far right corner (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=bRARP7KgvtNIWnMbMpX2eA) since we both aren't beer drinkers. This was a nice munchy meal since we didn't want to be too full before dancing to Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. If you're a beer drinker or prefer Mexican cuisine, this is a good option and the wait was not long.

Yelp
Solid place to grab a craft beer before an event. Lots of seating inside and outside. I have had both their IPAs and am a fan. They also have guest taps such as Barebottle available. There are food options as well. I had an empanada which wasn't bad.
google avatar

Stefanie C.

Yelp
3.5 stars. This place was POPPIN' right before the Chase Center concert I went to! Came here with friends and got lucky snatching up a table outside as others were leaving. I tried some guest brew Double IPA I didn't really care for. Lively vibes overall and a great option if you want to be outside along the water. Meh about the beer itself, though.

Yelp
What a cool spot! We were headed to the Chase Center for a concert and decided to grab a drink here beforehand. It was packed! We were there on a Friday night and couldn't get a table for a while, so stood and enjoyed the outdoor area. They have a good selection of drinks to choose from. I chose the sour and it was SO good! Several people were eating a meal here, so they do have food too. You order at a counter and then take a seat. The staff working were really friendly and the location is awesome- it definitely got chilly hanging outside here at night. My niece was able to order a mocktail that she enjoyed too.

Yelp
Great energy. Quick service. And the bar foods are fresh and have great tastes. The live music is a great touch. Especially after an early game!
google avatar

Clara L.

Yelp
Nice brewery conveniently located at Chase Center. Spacious and nice outdoor area perfect for a big group/happy hour.
google avatar

Nina V.

Yelp
Large indoor seating and outdoor patio seating here. Beers are nice, they also serve wine too. Lots of board games stacked on the side for group gatherings. I only saw a few snacks as food options so dont come hungry. Since it's next to chase center I imagine it to be extremely packed during those times. They are located right next to the water. Sports, beer, and a view is pretty great. Thank you harmonic brewing for keeping your outdoor patio area open for some time after closing for our friends' engagement surprise party! Y'all are the best.

Jon C.

Yelp
The best thing about Harmonic Brewing is it's location. It's located by Chase Center so it's surrounded by a bunch of other eateries and the new Mission Bay Bayfront Park. The place has seating inside and outside There's a designated TV located outside with 2 lawn style chairs for watching games. I only tried one of their beers, an IPA which did the job. You have a decent variety of beers to choose from. Most range from $10-$11 for a 16 oz. Have food options as well but haven't tried. Service was quick. You can get beer anywhere in the city but Harmonic's perfect location makes it a great spot to visit, especially on game days and concerts happening at Chase Center.

Yelp
This is a decent spot in Thrive City to go for a beer and snack before a game or concert. It didn't feel like price gouging and instead it felt like standard pricing for San Francisco. We ordered a few of their beers, tacos and nachos. The cheese on the nachos had curdled, so the texture was off for me, but everything else was decent. We tried three of their IPAs and loved them all, so it's definitely a good spot to grab a beer!
google avatar

Bessie T.

Yelp
Harmonic got great beer and they have food and snacks as well. We came here on a non-game night for a quiet evening. The space is beautiful and they have board games, views and did I say great beer?! Of course there's a completely different vibe and energy during games and events too. Either way, the bay view is always there - beckoning us. Food wise - both the tacos and empanadas were tasty and a bit small for our appetite. Prices are much more reasonable than inside the arena and average for SF prices. Will be back :)
google avatar

James H.

Yelp
I came in on Friday mid afternoon for a work party and it was the first time going to Harmonic Brewing. The vibe was cool with a lot of TVs playing games and a lot of brews on tap. The food was a little less memorable but good for some light bites and snacks like variety of tacos, empanadas, baked pretzels, crackers/cheese/cured meats. The dessert was a hit with everyone though. The cookies and cheesecake. The service was nice from all of the folks. Will be back to grab a brew.
google avatar

Jeff H.

Yelp
I'm a fan. Ordered their nachos and was able to add some fresh jalapenos to help bump up the heat. Great portion size, left full, but not uncomfortably stuffed. Great place to meet up with friends and catch some hoops or baseball on the TV, or my personal favorite, sitting on the outside patio and look out over the water with a cold pint. Harmonic needs to be on your radar for a good time out.
google avatar

Daniel L.

Yelp
Harmonic brewing has a nice location right next to where the Warriors play. Has a nice outdoor spot to kick it. We went and there was live music at the time which was nice. The beer is there were OK. Good spot to pregame before a Warriors game. Recommend this spot and would be back.
google avatar

Gregory C.

Yelp
Beers are $10 a pop for a 16 ounce but this is an awesome spot to catch a game. Service is first come first serve. But they have really cool vibes. There music but no sound on the games. We had an El Mero Mero and You love it to C it, which are Mexican lager and juicy IPAs, respectively. You will love love love this spot around the corner from Chase entrance. This is a cool spot. You might not even need tickets to enjoy the beer and experience. Great place to grab a brew.
google avatar

Zarina Z.

Yelp
Great location if you are in the neighborhood for a game. We were greeted by the bartender with a smile and felt pretty welcome. Ambiance is a typical sports bar and there is a nice selection of beers. We opted for some empanadas, which hit the spot. We will definitely be back again!
google avatar

Simon D.

Yelp
Lots of outdoor and indoor seating, it's just a shame the beer and food are disgusting. You'll be tempted to go there to get a jump on the event you're attending, don't subject yourself. Pick one of the many nice bars in the city and ride share to Chase Center. If plan ignoring me, avoid the nachos. I have no idea what the watery yellow liquid is, but it tastes foul.
google avatar

Min C.

Yelp
This place has such a nice view outside! My husband and I loved it for our Saturday beer hopping! Because there was no game, the parking was easy to find and we were able to look around the Chase center in peace. The beer was good and the price was okay. Mostly 10$ per glass. The service was okay, too. The place is spacious inside and outside so I would go back if we have many people in our group.
google avatar

Dipesh G.

Yelp
The space is fantastic, there's lots of space and the views are great. Harmonic makes good beer and they have snacks to go along with the beers. The staff is friendly and the vibe is good, even when there's a good amount of people. It's a great spot to visit before an event at the Chase Center.
google avatar

Forrest C.

Yelp
My go-to spot for a delicious cold brew. The beer never disappoints, from amazing IPA's to crisp lagers, I think I've enjoyed every style of beer I've had here. Tasty food and a great view of the bay are pleasant bonuses. It's gets busy on Warriors game nights, so look at the schedule before you come (atmosphere is amazing though!) Nothing but good things to say about one of my favorite SF Breweries. A must stop for any beer connoisseur!
google avatar

Christina J.

Yelp
Very cool view! This pick was great -Mero mero Definitely a new "go to spot" before games
google avatar

Vicky M.

Yelp
Friendly and welcoming staff!! In case anyone cared, ordered a 9oz and measured it for jokes, it was pretty accurate hehe.
google avatar

Karen Y.

Yelp
Seriously can't beat that view. Pretty well rounded menu, nice vibe, good weather. Would come back again.
google avatar

Juan V.

Yelp
A real gem in the Thrive City next to Chase Center. Lots of great drinks available and a great place to hangout before a game indoor and outdoors. Great service and good atmosphere.
google avatar

Carlos H.

Yelp
Great local craft beers to enjoy right before the Warriors games. I was in town and headed to a game and spent a nice evening here overlooking the ocean and the Bay Bridge. You really cannot complain with a view like this and quality craft beer. Harmonic is one of my favorite in SF. Recommend!
google avatar

Glenn L.

Yelp
Arrived early for a Warriors game and found this perfect spot to have a few beers, eat some snacks, and enjoy the view. Ordering using the QR code (table-specific) was easy. They brought our orders out very quickly. The pretzel was great and the charcuterie plate had a nice variety of items. Beer prices were at least half of the price of the beers inside the arena so be sure to stop in if you get a chance.

Amanda T.

Yelp
This is the place to be if you like gorgeous views and excellent craft beer! Staff is always on point - friendly, attentive, and genuinely focused on making sure you're enjoying your time there. Plus they often have live music. Mike and Julia are the best!
google avatar

Ramon B.

Yelp
Yes to the beers every beer was great. The logo for T-shirts is very cool, and the pretzel is fantastic too. I was not too keen on the prices. Be aware the beer is $1-2 more for small pours or $2-3 more for a large pint but that is SF Tourist prices for ya! Otherwise, service is great and I wish they'd adjust lighting a bit at night. Think bright and annoying!
google avatar

Shreha J.

Yelp
Fantastic open outdoors spot for a beer and view of the water. Great for sunset or happy hour before games / during warriors games. They have a good selection of beers and the space outside is huge, so it's good for groups. I like to get on the mission bay bike trail and grab a beer here. Super convenient and very nice stop for a sunny day. Food is underwhelming, I would just stick to a drink.
google avatar

Tamara A.

Yelp
such a beautiful brewery! perfect place to grab a quick snack and drink before a game. the staff was super sweet and attentive despite being super busy. highly recommend stopping in!

Melissa I.

Yelp
This space is gorgeous with amazing views of the bay! The patio is huge and inviting! Customer service top notch. We have been before events at Chase, on the weekends to enjoy the sun and on other nights for casual school parent meet ups. It is kid friendly, beer/wine and nonalcoholic options are great and delicious food. Great space for private events, too! Highly recommend.
google avatar

Michael K.

Yelp
I'm so glad Harmonic Brewing has this new location! It's a shame Warriors didn't make the playoffs but it was crackin' here even with no sports games on! Harmonic brewing is solid and this beer bar has tons of outdoor seating with some indoor seating as well. Great views of the water, many beers to try, and yummy bites as well. What more could you ask for!

Sarah P.

Yelp
Note the staff was so friendly and they were slammed working their butts off . Beer and view great. Food was horrible. The wings are soft and fatty ( not crispy). Doused in sauce so you have to peel the saucy fatty layer off to Eat , they made us feel Grody so we just ate the pretzels and empanadas which were ok. They ran out of cheese for pretzels but the chimichurri Was good. $130 For 4 beers and 4 sodas. Chips salsa a pretzel and 2 empanadas. Because wings were not Right. However beer great and view great. They just need to up their food game.
google avatar

Patty S.

Yelp
Prime location, amazing bay views and tasty beers -plus other options like wine and cider for non beer drinkers. Great place for pregame for any event at Chase. I've been there before an NBA game and a Marc Anthony concert and it never disappoints! Staff is super friendly and they are super into dogs (can seat outside).
google avatar

Yuka Y.

Yelp
Nice place to wait until chase center opens up. Would like to have some more finger foods on the menu.
google avatar

Julia P.

Yelp
This place is a gem!!! Not too many people know about it yet! They were super busy during the games but if there is no major event it s nice and friendly! We went a day during pride week end and there was a dj! Super fun! The view is the best snd they have the best beers in town!staff is friendly and helpful.. i did not know what to get snd they helped a lot! Will try to go as a regular!
google avatar

Peter W.

Yelp
We recently hosted an event at Harmonic for our work group. Their Events Manager, Katie was very helpful and easy to work with prior to the event. The onsite staff was great and went above and beyond during the event. We for sure will be back to do future events.
google avatar

Joel Christian A.

Yelp
An outpost of Harmonic brewing in the dogpatch, this place feature some unbeatable views of the stadium, the bay and the Bay Bridge. Featuring a small tasting menu with pretzels and hot dogs, this tap room still has the many great beers of its mother brewery in an optimal location prior to Warriors basketball games or Chase center events. The brewery had been packed for many events prior but on non-event days you'll find easy access to the tap room with parking near the bay or access via the muni light rail line. Also host to many events such as networking events, beer fest and other releases, great place to start a night out
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
I came here before seeing Adam Sandler perform this past Tuesday. It was my first time at the Chase Center so I wanted some beer before the concert began. Harmonic is super convenient to get cheap draft beer (excellent choices I recommend the C-Side IPA). They had two TV's showing NBA games which made for a lively crowd before the doors opened, also literally about 200 feet away from the main entrance, no rush at all. I ordered 2 Pork Tacos and 3 beers all for around $50 which I thought was perfectly priced. Quick service to order more drinks/food all by scanning the QR code. Definitely worth a shot!
google avatar

Larry P.

Yelp
Incredible beers and friendly atmosphere. A great selection of fresh-brewed beers! This is the best place to hang out before Warriors games. The staff knows their beer and provides great service, especially Travis, who runs the bar.
google avatar

Nicolette P.

Yelp
Looking for a quick snack before the game stop here. You can order from your table via your phone so a bonus if the line is long. I ordered chicken tacos and chicken empanadas. Food arrived shortly after ordered. Not sure if the food comes from two of the restaurants inside of Chase because both items did taste pretty familiar but still good.
google avatar

Seth D.

Yelp
The beer wasn't very tasty. The food was really bad. We had the pretzels but there wasn't a big selection. I would not recommend this place. It was easy to get a table though.
