Harold’s Chicken Brings Wings, Tenders, and Mild Sauce to Kennesaw | Eater Atlanta

"Opened by filmmaker Morocco Vaughn and club owner Skee Franchise, this Chicago-based fried-chicken outpost at Kennesaw State University's Bixby apartment complex serves founder Harold Pierce’s original recipes, including fried chicken, catfish, shrimp, chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, and pizza puffs. The location imports the signature mild sauce—typically a blend of ketchup, barbecue sauce, and hot sauce—weekly from Chicago. In addition to food, it features a sports bar, live music, and space for public and private events. The restaurant launched with a limited menu on December 18 and will hold a full-menu grand opening on February 3 with performances by Yung Joc and Do or Die, surprise celebrities and influencers, and a live broadcast from Streetz 94.5; owners note it is not affiliated with the Chicken & Ice Bar locations in Edgewood, College Park, and Marietta." - Sarra Sedghi

The chicken was good! Fries were under seasoned and mid. I also tried the waffle which wasn’t that great if you have a mature palate. Service was lack luster. One college student to serve the dine in and take out… all while on her phone. Bathroom was also lacking essentials.

Went here with our family because we were visiting Kennesaw University and Harold’s is a Chicago classic. We had the chicken dinner and my daughter had the catfish dinner. Chicken was seasoned well and my daughter devoured her catfish. We drowned our food in mild sauce cause… we’re Chicago natives! It was super good and the owner was really friendly. Definitely recommend.

I did not know this spot existed until I went to get myself a Strawberry Frappé for the first time from Baladi, which is right next door to Harold's. Tammy (the manager) and Rocco (the owner) greeted me and made me feel so comfortable in their establishment. I came at noon, so the place was empty. But as I was there, customers were in and out. I sat at the bar & ordered the 1/4 fried chicken dinner with fries & cole slaw & white bread. Everything was seasoned well. I'm definitely returning to experience something else. Tammy was telling me about their Friday nights where they have all-you-can-drink for just $20 and other great deals. I'm definitely going to tell my girls about it so we can have a great time. I posted the flyer to this review about their Friday nights. Thanks, Rocco & Tammy!! I'm definitely coming back.

If you haven’t dined at Harold Chicken KSU, you are missing out! This location gives you a BANG for your buck and is a complete vibe🔥 Not only is the staff professional, the food is amazing!!!! They also have great dine in meal deals that include an entree and a drink for anyone on a budget. This location is an AUTHENTIC Harold’s!!!! I especially enjoyed their All Beef Chicago Dog, catfish and their chicken sandwich meal, it’s a must try!!! Another must try is the Bahama Marley 👀, ask for Elle to make it!!!!!! KSU students get a special discount and it is conveniently located across the street from Fifth Third Stadium. What I loved most about this location is that every meal is made to order so your food comes out Hot & FRESH‼️I recommend calling in your order ahead of time to save on wait time. Overall I had a great dining experience!

I stopped by Harold’s Chicken to pick up dinner, and I had such a great experience! The owner, a young man with a great personality, provided excellent customer service — friendly, attentive, and welcoming. My food was hot, fresh, and delicious! It’s always nice when both the food and the service are top-notch. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this location to others.

Went to harolds for the first time and had an amazing job. Tammy was our waitress and she went above and beyond to make sure we was taken care of. She was also our bartender and the strawberry Hennessy margarita I had was amazing. Everything from the food to the staff to the drinks was Phenomenal. I defn will be returning.

The food really isn't all that great. And there is usually a girl at the desk when you walk in who handles orders, but she uses her personal cell to talk to people and she doesn't really have the energy to provide good service it seems like, but maybe i caught her on a bad day. The overall design and building is nice but i just don't think it's for me.

Placed an order off of uber eats. They either hand the driver the wrong order or he grabs the wrong order and delivers it to me. Uber eats is of no help, they give me partial refund for my order and I go to the store to see if they can replace it or refund me, showing them the incorrect order in my hand. They have absolutely no & I mean NO resolution for me. Nothing. "There's just nothing they can do." The manager said a load of bs for the employee to say to me I just walked out. $30 of no food and time wasted. Service here is so trash. This isn't the first time I've had an issue with this place. Fried Oreos and greasy ssa pizza puffs. Doesn't look like chicken and fries to me. My name isn't even correct on the receipt but do they gaf? Don't waste your time.

Drinks are alright but the food is a$$. I didn't know you can mess up a shrimp po boy. I stand corrected. IT TASTES HOW IT LOOKS. Unless you are drunk when you arrive this place will seem like a joke. Don't waste your time.

The service was excellent and environment was really nice and clean. I Had the gibblets (fried gizzards & livers). They were overcooked and hard and not seasoned.tasted bland. The chicken wing & fries I had were well cooked, fresh, seasoned & tasted good. The price was good.

I've been going here for almost 3 months and I will say the food is fantastic. My chicken is always fresh and my fries crisp. The hostess who usually takes my order is a sweet heart... the young guy I. The kitchen needs a raise! IDK who these people are talking about old oil but that has never been my experience! My food is made very well and tastes amazing. I like this location over any Harold's I've been to in the city.

Highly recommended this place. Recently has my birthday celebration there and it was amazing. Not only did the staff go over and above to tend to my friends and I but they even decorated for me. Everyone is still talking about how good the food was as well as how much fun they had. Several of my friends have already gone back. if you are looking for an intimate place to go or just looking for some amazing chicken this is definitely the place to go! This is by far my favorite Harold's in Georgia. Thank you to the entire staff here for helping to make my bday amazing. One I'll always remember.

A co-worker said I should try the place. Went directly there after to get dinner fir the family. Walked in place empty, but there was an employee entertain with the dance moves asked for menu no minute had ti use my phone to look it up. I guess this is for the young people with the phone business. I tried surfing the menu on phone but was not happening. I went out side to finish looking and then some how lost page and nit going back to scan the QR code. Just went another place where it was easier fir a guy my age to place an order. What happwns is a person forgets phone I guess can't order food. I hear the food is good but I'll never know.

First let me say. first time customer and was WOW from instant . The ambiance the music was fire my food good. The manager was nice and made sure my party was comfortable and pleased! I love that when it comes to spending my money

Very disappointing experience. It took an hour to get our food; there were several customers standing around waiting as well. Several items on the menu were "out of stock" including all the desserts. The food was poorly seasoned and pretty tasteless. Music was playing quite loudly and made conversation difficult. This one is off the list.

I spent 40 dollars for food that I could not eat. I have never seen chicken breast the size of a turkey breast, cooked in OLD grease. Some of the fries were cooked and some were hard. I called to register a complaint that is still pending. If this continues, they will be out of business SOON!!! I am so disappointed!!!!!!
