When we arrived, we were seated, and the host brought us water, letting us know our waiter would be with us shortly. However, it took 12 minutes for the waiter to arrive. Once they did, we placed our order, which included the mushroom truffle pizza.
While waiting for our food, a staff member came out to inform us they had run out of mushrooms for the mushroom truffle pizza. She offered to substitute it with the pizza of the month, which also featured mushrooms. We agreed to the substitution.
After another long wait, our food arrived, including a pizza that we assumed was the pizza of the month. Upon closer inspection, we realized it was actually the mushroom truffle pizza--just without any mushrooms. This was confusing and disappointing, as it felt like they had served us a half-finished dish without explanation.
After we finished eating, another staff member brought out the pizza of the month. When he saw we had a pizza already, he took it back to the kitchen. The entire situation reflected a serious lack of communication in the kitchen and poor service overall. No one acknowledged the mistake or made an effort to correct it during our meal.
In the end, the waiter offered to remove the pizza from our bill but failed to follow through. This added to an already frustrating experience. The poor service and lack of accountability left a bad impression, and we will not be returning.
