Google
A great spot for something sweet and a good coffee. They offer a nice variety of pastries, and the cardamom bun stands out as especially tasty. . There are also options with different flavors, like rhubarb, which were also quite good.

Google
Good coffee and Croissants, especially the Cardamom one was delicious and different to what other bakeries offer. Now I will say, when you enter the bakery something about the presentation isn’t just quite right. We were close to walking out because the pastries didn’t look appealing but glad we stayed as they were delicious. It’s not as visually pleasing but worth trying. Wish I’d tried the sourdough which looked amazing!

Google
The cinnamon swirl is light, sugary without being overly sweet and has a nice flavor profile with the spices. Flakey but not dry. Fantastic place to go early morning (yes I'm taking Nanami around the world like he deserves)

Google
The place is great and be ready for a long queue. Pastries were a little dry for my like but still tasty

Hart was one of the bakeries we wanted to visit while in Copenhagen. The bakery has good reviews and we were excited to taste and test it out. Seattle now has world class bakeries and we were hoping this one will be good or better. We tried a sausage roll, chocolate croissant, quiche, raspberry tart and cardamom croissant. Most notable was the raspberry croissant. The rest were greasy and lacking the quality of a French bakery. Unfortunately, the quality and creativity were lacking. The sausage tasted like a greasy cheap burger shop product. Realize they have a good following of customers, so maybe you should try them out while in Copenhagen or you are discovering Copenhagen.

Google
Really good pastries the croissant was really good and crispy the coffee was also really good… i dont think their speciality is coffee but it was really nice as well The cheesecake was nice also i think is worth a trip if you are in the area but i didnt know its a chain so that makes it a little bit sad

Google
Probably the best sourdough bun I’ve had in Copenhagen. From the crisp of the corners to the dough itself, I’d say that Hart has honed their commitment to creating bread. That said, I can safely say that Hart’s sourdough has become a staple in my everyday life. If you haven’t tried their sesame city loaf, you’re truly missing out!

Google
No tablets or laptops inside or outside won’t my heart just chill with yourself or with your near n dear ones with coffee or matcha n cinnamon rolls. Loved this little bakery. The cakes n pastries yumm cinnamon roll was a little too sweet for me but my friends loved that I enjoyed almond one crispy yet soft texture

Yelp
The cardamom bun was fantastic. Service was quick and the store had ample indoor and outdoor seating options. It's a cute shop near the water.

Yelp
Stopped at Hart for a little afternoon delight on our way to Tivoli Gardens. It's a cute little cafe that unfortunately has zero indoor seating, so be prepared to awkwardly perch by their wares if the outside benches are full (or covered in rain). We got three treats that were all solid, but honestly, nothing that different that you couldn't find at a bakery of this caliber elsewhere in the States or Europe. The chocolate chip cookie was thin and chewy and scrumptious, and while we loved the cardamom croissant (bun?), we wished it had a more prominent cardamom-forward taste. Our favorite bite was probably the lemon poppy cake that was colder and more moist than we anticipated, but super lemony and yummy. Nice folks, nice goodies. We wouldn't say you need to make it a "must" on a trip to Copenhagen, but well worth a visit if you happen to stumble upon a location of Hart.

Yelp
Hart is so good, locations everywhere. Haven't had anything bad here yet, but definitely try the laminated cardamom bun which has so much texture and subtle flavor - delicious

Yelp
Really good pastries Got the following: Poppy seed and caramelized marzipan croissant: 5 stars Chocolate bun: 1 star, dry and flavorless Basque cheesecake: 5 stars, one of the better cheesecakes I have ever had. Super smooth and rich Would go back for the 5 stars options!

Yelp
Food 10/10 I would move to Copenhagen for this bakery. Their cardamom croissant is from a whole other dimension. I feltas if my taste buds were reinvented and then some after having that pastry. We obviously returned the next day to get it again. Such a textural and flavor masterpiece. Their black sesame and white chocolate cookie was too sweet for me. Their croissant was very good though, flakey and not too greasy either. Atmosphere 10/10 Cutest logo and actually a good amount of seats. Lots of sunlight into both bakeries we were at. Plenty of Noma related products on sale. Service 10/10 Very friendly people behind the bakery. One of them did indeed move to Copenhagen for the pastries. I aspire.

Yelp
Hart is yet another bakery started by ex-Noma baker. I tried one of their more famous pastry, a cardamom croissant (42DKK) and flat white (45DKK). As the name implies, unlike traditional cardamom sweet bun, this one used croissant dough, with the texture almost similar to kouign amann. Pretty unique experience and I appreciate the fragrant cardamom. If there's criticism from my end, it's that I felt that the croissant was slightly too burnt. It's also nice that compared to other famous bakery, Hart has almost 10 branches in Copenhagen, which helps distribute the crowd. Flat white was also quite good with strong floral notes. Another item which I really enjoyed from their bakery is actually their sourdough, which made a wonderful based for my breakfast sandwiches at home.

Yelp
I came specifically for the sesame cookie and managed to get the last one when I visited around 4pm on a Sunday. It looked amazing but tasted very average. Suprisingly, the flavor profile was more salty than sweet which threw me off because I was expecting a sugary cookie. However, the cookie was nice and chewy with a decently crispy edge so it was still very well executed overall. I'm willing to come back to try more items in the bakery!

Yelp
Oh how I love thee. The cardamon croissants are memorable. My taste buds exploded in the spicy buttery goodness. This is an experience, truly. In search of the best bakery we found bliss at Hart.

Yelp
An absolute must visit. 1. Hart was founded by an ex-Tartine and ex-Noma baker so I was excited to see the things they had to offer. We ordered a range of items and left so satisfied. 2. We tried the cardamom croissant, spandauer, pandan coconut financier, yuzu hazelnut financier, passionfruit cake, and sesame cookie and they were all fantastic. Our favorites were the cardamom croissant, passionfruit cake, and sesame cookie. The cardamom croissant in particular is just wow. It's like a collaboration between a croissant, monkey bread, and a cardamom bun. 3. I love their variety and flavor choices, and everything is baked so well. Someone wrote in their review that they'd move to Copenhagen for this bakery, and honestly I would too.

Yelp
OH MY ENTIRE GOD - we had the Cardamom Croissant here because we heard about it and lemmmeee tell you, it did not disappoint. This may be the best pastry I've ever had in my LIFE. It's somehow flaky AND juicy like how is a pastry juicy?! I don't know but they've figured it out because it's that incredibly moist. The cardamom flavor is on point and not too overpowering. I ate this 3 weeks and I'm still thinking about it.

Yelp
Pastry perfection!! we tried several including chocolate bun, cinnamon roll with orange, and cardamom's croissants. The service was great and very nice. Also friendly vibes.

Yelp
THE CARDAMON CROISSANT. As you can see, I couldn't wait before taking the picture... Also the staff was absolutely lovely!
google avatar

Yelp
Hart Bageri is a bakery by ex Noma baker Richard Hart in Fredericksburg. We went for breakfast and we had the chocolate croissant, Spandauer filled with marzipan and Tebirkes topped with poppy seeds and marzipan spread. We were impressed by the flakiness of the laminated layers for all the pastries. Definitely worth a stop
google avatar

Carolina R.

Yelp
I wanted to get some coffee and pastry to start my first day of exploring and stopped by Hart as it was a place in my research many recommended. I got a pastry and no coffee because they didn't have anywhere to sit just a bench outside. I do wish there was more seating to enjoy your pastry but overall good. Went next door to the 7-11 for a coffee since they have seating areas.

Yelp
This is hands down the best cardamom croissant I have ever had in my entire life. I purposely tried like 5 bakeries in Copenhagen and this was the clear cut winner
google avatar

Connie N.

Yelp
Cute! Very small, but very cute place with a good assortment of baked goods, juices, coffees and merch. I got the two most popular items: The spandauer reminded me of a Chinese dan tat - just with a crispy croissant dough instead of the traditional flakey pastry. Had great vanilla bean flavor. Cardamom croissant had nice flavor! A little sticky but what's not to like. I also got an iced latte and the coffee here is really good. I don't super get why they don't fill the cups all the way, but maybe that's just me being used to America.

Ritsa C.

Yelp
Amazing! Still thinking about the cardamom croissant. Very friendly service. Some benches outside to sit and enjoy.
google avatar

Sheila P.

Yelp
Cardamom croissant was a real winner. So buttery and not overwhelming with the spice. Their hot chocolate is legit. Definitely recommend ordering on the go so you can savor as you walk along the canal. We also tried their sausage roll and the croissant with creme. With the owner having an attachment to Tartine, how can you go wrong?

Yelp
Copenhagen is full of good bakeries. So much so that my friend and I went to one or two a day during our week visiting Copenhagen. That's to say we tried many, many pastries at many of the city's top-rated bakeries. Hart was a good experience, but wouldn't make top five. Located on a popular street with many other shops and restaurants, Hart Bageri is a tiny space with a bakery and grab-n-go food and products like jams. They sell all the usual pastries as well as cookies. Since we went in the afternoon, I ordered a warm chocolate chip cookie that looked more like a brownie due to its thickness. It was a good cookie, but didn't stick out from other warm chocolate chip cookies. For our favorite bakery, head to Juno The Bakery in Østerbro.

Yelp
The cardamom croissant melts in your mouth. Together with a filter coffee, it's better than anything smuggled in by narcos. If I want something hearty I ask for a seed bun with cheese.
google avatar

Aeris W.

Yelp
Wow! 5 stars for their cardamom croissant! It's a must have! Came here with a few local friends and they highly recommended the cardamom croissant so I got one to try and had to go back for more the next day lol! It reminded me a lot of the kouign amann from B Patisserie in San Francisco, but more buttery and flaky. Honestly, I don't know how anything could get more buttery and flaky than the kouign amann, but here you go! The Danes have done it. The cardamom flavor was mind blowing and out of the world. MMM...

Yelp
Came to Hart Bageri because I know that it the founders are Richard Hart, former head baker at Tartine, and Rene Redzepi, owner of Noma. Granted, it's hard to find a bad bakery in Copenhagen, but Hart Bageri was a great first place to visit. We got the morning bun with dark chocolate and butter, and an egg tart-like croissant. Would purchase both again the next time I'm in Denmark.

Yelp
Part of the Copenhagen dining scene since 2018 Hart Bageri has been a resounding success, so much that former Tartine Baker Richard Hart and his partners at noma decided to open a second storefront in Holmen late-2021. Located in Frederiksberg, Rene Redzepi's decision to back the acclaimed Brit living in San Francisco undoubtedly launching a revolution in Copenhagen's traditional landscape of baked goods, lines at Hart begin prior to opening daily as guests hope to secure loaves of Sourdough or still-warm Viennoiseries. Built from the ground up, per Hart a Danish Bakery exploring tradition with a modern eye, early arrivers will find all but the famous Double Baked Almond Croissants that is happily forgotten within the first bite of a Cardamom version that comes apart like laminated Monkey Bread. Using local Ingredients as often as possible, Pain au Chocolat shattering around a delicate honeycomb, Cookies at Hart perform well whether Chocolate Chip or soft Sesame, and for those seeking a classic the Spandauer is pitch-perfect with lightly-sweetened Custard wetting the bottom yet no textural compromise.

Yelp
LoVED this bakery. I was disappointed they didn't have the twice baked almond croissant but their spandauer and the cardmemum croissant was incredible. It was so worth the drive to Fredericksburg. Their cappuccino wasn't the best in town but if did suffice with the pastries. Would come back to try their other baked goods!

Yelp
Double Baked Cardamom Croissant - 4/5 Double Baked Dream Cake Croissant - 4/5 Great service and super friendly staff. Pastries are tasty. Good flavors and not too many options to overwhelm you.

Yelp
The Hello Captain boat tour captain suggested this after our tour, so we gave it a try and really enjoyed it! I loved the views of the river and people-watching bikers as they passed by. We tried the black sesame chocolate cookie & the cardamom croissant, which reminded me of a kouign amann. I really enjoyed both and the overall experience there. It's a really cute, vibrant place.
google avatar

Diana N.

Yelp
You know it's a great bakery when there are 5+ people waiting in line for the store to open. I had the cardamom muffin and chocolate croissant and both were fantastic!! I wasn't sure what to get but the person at the register was very patient with me and was excited that I asked him for recommendations. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!
google avatar

Jaclyn Y.

Yelp
I came here in the afternoon, when most of their most popular items were sold out, so I ordered one of each pastry remaining. All of them were so delicious! You can't go wrong. They are always so nice too. It is such a pleasant spot.
google avatar

Bo B.

Yelp
We got some pastries here and while they were good, they just weren't as good as the ones from Brød and St Peter's Bageri.
google avatar

Sheri C.

Yelp
It's my mission to try all the cardamom buns in Copenhagen, and clearly Hart Bageri was one of the top bakeries on my list. After reading all the rave reviews on multiple sites, I knew I had to try it. However, I was slightly disappointed to learn that the overall sensation of the bun was just sticky. The eye-catching form and fluffy texture of the pastry contribute in making the treat a visual delight, but the experience of eating it was lackluster. The cinnamon roll with lemon was way too sweet for my liking. There was no need for the sugar crystals on top. All the flavors were too overpowering - I wished there was more subtlety in the lemon zest. Maybe I chose the wrong pastries this day, or maybe the baker was feeling extra generous with the sugar. I would, however, give Hart Bageri another shot and try something else. Or maybe this bakery is just hype.
google avatar

Emma S.

Yelp
Best bakery in Frederiksberg (also up there for all of Copenhagen)! Get there in the morning and there will be a line out the door. From breads to pastries to coffee, they have it all! Their cardamom croissant is soo good. As is their cinnamon roll and city loaf. They also have the cutest logo. I recommend grabbing a coffee and cardamom croissant on a Sunday morning and walking the streets of Frederiksberg. There is usually a flea market just a few streets down from Hart Bageri.
google avatar

Connie X.

Yelp
Long after I've returned to the states, I still think of their super seed rugbrød...I even gifted a loaf to a danish friend when I left. Not sure if that was just the dumb American in me, but it was just too good to not share. This was my favorite bakery in town. Nothing like grabbing a cardamom croissant to share with a friend (it's very rich), or taking their double baked croissant to eat at a nearby square.

Yelp
This holiday season I'm thankful to have Hart Bageri in my neighborhood. Founded by the former head baker at Tartine, Richard Hart, Hart Bageri is a mix of Danish and San Francisco baking. Now can get my sourdough and rye fix in one stop! Life is good. So far I have tried the city loaf, which is equivalent to the "country loaf" in SF, seedy buns, and the oat porridge loaf. The oat porridge is by far my favorite and tastes just as good as the version from Tartine. The oat porridge has only been available as the "loaf of the day" so I really hope they start offering it as a regular menu item. It's much softer than the city loaf and perfect for an everyday bread. I would also love it if they start selling the sesame seed bread like the one from Tartine - that is my absolute favorite. Hart serves coffee from Prolog, one of my favorite roasters in the city. The staff is very friendly and many workers are from San Francisco. So nice to have a little bit of home in Copenhagen!

X O.

Yelp
Everything is good here! I bought 3 loaves of bread to bring to my family in Germany, and a dozen smaller pieces. Sausage rolls FTW! Coffee is great, too.

Gianluca V.

Yelp
Excellent pastries and coffee. I recommend sesame cookies, they are incredible! There are no seats inside or outside, but you'll likely find a free bench in the surrounding area.

Maryanne R.

Yelp
The timing of our trip to Copenhagen was not great for seeing Tivoli Gardens as they are closed to decorate for Christmas, but it was perfect for visiting Hart Bageri which has been open for about 5 weeks. There can't be a better spot for a pastry and coffee with a side of people watching on a cold overcast Saturday morning than here. We shared a custard pastry, a flaky cardamom pastry and a pumpkin muffin. They were all excellent. The coffee is really good here too. Feeling supercharged for a day of cycling around Copenhagen now. Looking forward to enjoying the loaf of seeded rye we picked up when we get home tomorrow.

Nate R.

Yelp
So far, BEST bageri (bakery) in Copenhagen. Let's be honest, it's pretty hard to find bad baked goods in Copenhagen. But it's surprising how quickly you become picky. Came here first morning and everything else has tasted average. Their double caramelized whatever was the best pastry I've eaten. This boutique bageri has it all, worlds best baked treats, beautiful design aesthetic and a cozy size. (...I'm headed back their right now)
google avatar

Trekforbeer B.

Yelp
Must stop in Copenhagen for breakfast. Amazing pastries. My favorite was the ham in a cinnanbon. The croissants were so light and flaky, the best I've had in forever.

Anas J.

Yelp
The Cardamom croissant is to die for. Decently priced and the service us brilliant. Recommend visiting if you need good coffee and even better pastries

J C.

Yelp
Best bakery in the city. Unfortunately, we only came here the morning we departed. The cardamom croissant-- layers of warmly buttered pastry w a bottom crust of brown sugar w a hint of cardamom-- still has me salivating. The twice baked croissant w rhubarb, almond & apple was a crumbly, sweet, tart party for my mouth. The freshly baked multigrain & rye breads looked delicious but I didn't have a chance to try them. Next time we're in Copenhagen, this will be the first place I return to.
