I have been here SEVERAL times with my three year old, and we have never had this good of service as we have today, thanks to Christian. We are so happy to be here today. He’s smiling and friendly and efficient. He even left his duties to come out with a clean dry towel to dry off the playground for the few kids who are here today. This single, and tired momma thanks you, Christian.

Can’t seem to follow online order, too expensive. edit: After speaking with management and them offering me a gift card I decided to give them a second chance. In that time, they may messed up numerous orders. I was told management would help solve the issue and it has gotten worse, I'm unsure where the disconnect is. I would only eat here if you have children that want to use the playground, but be prepared for them to be upset when their order is incorrect. In the pictures, I made an online order and picked up a completely different order under the same name, I returned to the restaurant and while waiting, they handed me the wrong order again so I had to wait even longer. 5/17- I only come here now if my son wants to eat here and they are still messing up our orders. What would be a ten minute trip to pick up dinner after a baseball game turns into a 30 minute ordeal when they have to remake our food.

Me, my husband and 4 kiddos had a great experience! Thanks to Cristian for helping us get our orders and accommodations it was great! Good was amazing and took a few memorable pics on the playground:)

We placed a take out order and it had multiple errors on a simple order along with missing over $5 of items paid for. I reached out to their management requesting the $5 worth of missing items be refunded back to my card not even including the incorrect burger. They sent a gift card that expired instead and I asked them to take that off and just refund the missing items since I believe if you do not get an item you should receive your money back. I was told they are unable to do refunds which seems untrustworthy info and continue to receive push back on a reasonable request. I have lost trust in this location and would not feel comfortable ordering again since they clearly have unorthodox practices regarding refunds for reasonable requests Though it’s only $5 the principle of not refunding for their mistake (mistakes happen but going out of the way to keep customers money they did not earn is not acceptable).

My kids were happy to see a play area that was engaging, and as a parent I love that it was enclosed, clean looking - I had no problem with my toddler having a blast. We didn’t wait long at all, and the food was - and I’m not exaggerating - PHENOMENAL. My wife, my brother in law and I all did double takes at the quality of the burgers, rhe fries, the sauces, the drinks, and even the hot dog my youngest got. Will definitely be coming back. I only hope the other locations are this good - Alejandro you’re awesome 👏🏾

I've now been to Hat Creek twice and no lie the food and service are top tier. First time there a wonderful cashier by the name of Cristian took my order and not only is his customer service great you can tell he loves his job. Helpin, smiling, and joking the whole time. Love ❣️ this place

I’ve been to Hat Creek Burger Co. on Walnut Hill 3 different times since a friend told me about it around a month ago and every single trip has been wonderful. The first time I went in I got the Big Hat burger, then the Cobb salad, and today I came in for lunch around 11:30 and got the Bacon Royale, which was suggested by an employee named Alejandro. I’d like to elaborate on today’s trip, especially. When I came in, it was just Alejandro and the cook. He explained to me that they were a little short staffed and that my food may take a bit longer than usual to come out, which is totally understandable. I told him my lunch is an hour and that I work just down the street, so it was no issue. He then informed me about the app and told me that if I wanted to, I could not only order on there so that the food is ready by the time I arrive, but that I can also get reward points. Needless to say I’ve downloaded the app now as well. I sat down and started playing on my phone expecting a long wait, but I’d barely had time to scroll when Alejandro brought my plate over. He asked if I tried the hat sauce last time (he remembered me from last time, I think). I told him I hadn’t and he told me I should, that’s it’s a specialty. I did and it was really good. Alejandro has had a great attitude and demeanor every time I’ve come in (he helped me all three times). He’s friendly and funny and from what I’ve observed of his interactions with other customers, he’s very patient as well. This seems to be a great crew and I look forward to coming back again. (I’ve been eyeballing the chicken nuggets…)

My daughter and I loved Christians amazing attitude and positive vibes. My daughter got the Little Hat with cheddar…while I got the Bacon Royale per Christians guidance. We also ended up getting a Birthday cake shake and a Peanut Butter cup shake. Overall everything was delicious and now I have to bring my son. Oh yea make sure you try the hat sauce.

Great service and great food! Super fast restaurant is always super clean and employees are very friendly. They even have a great outdoor playground for the children. Will be going back.

Dirty. Flies everywhere. Food is mediocre. The smallest kids burger I've ever seen. Just an overall lack of care or pride from staff.

I have Celiac Disease and had been absolutely craving French fries and fried pickles! I love that all the sides at Hat Creek are gluten-free and their chicken nuggets are the best! Yay for a designated fryer. It's super nice to have a place that makes gluten-free food taste good. Their sauces are yummy too. There is an up charge for a gluten-free bun. Service was friendly, prompt and accurate on a very busy Saturday afternoon. They have a playground outside behind their covered patio. There were a TON of children eating and playing outside on a beautiful afternoon on the day we visited and it was loud on the patio. This is a great place to bring a family but not a quiet or romantic patio vibe.

We placed a to go order and while waiting, experienced the following: the ladies' room stall had no paper; the soap dispenser was nearly empty and beeped incessantly, the staff member I informed seemed disinterested and a little offended that I approached her, the staff yelled out order names so loudly it hurt my ears, the space was full of families and kids, which added to the chaos. I didn't mind the kids but the screaming staff I could have lived without. It was exhausting. So, we get our food home and here's what we got: soggy fries, tepid food and flat Dr Pepper. How could the food have been cold? We were waiting while it was being prepared! All for a $40 lunch for three. Ugh. I don't think we'll be back.

First time here and certainly won't be the last, not sure if I loved the fries more or the fry sauce. The service was just as great as the cleanness of the store. Fast and friendly employees. They was busy and I can see why. The burger tasted so good and really filled me up, I was only able to eat half of it. And OMG they sell margaritas there too BONUS!!!

Food good-- snippy unfriendly bad service--didn't listen----at all. I asked for the manager, and the rude girl said she was the manager--terrible. Jim

What a perfect spot for kids! The playground is amazing, and the food is very good. I do wish they had more large tables for gatherings as the ones by the door fill up quickly as parents try to watch their kids on the playground. Not sure what the solve is but better ways/spaces to watch the kids on the playground would be awesome. We hosted my daughter's birthday party here and it could not have been easier to set up or manage. Thank you!

We had the grandkids for the day and after going to the Dallas World Aquarium in the morning, we stopped in here for lunch on our way back home. It's a little hard to find but I used the directions through Yelp and found it with no problem. It was a super hot day, but wasn't too bad to sit outside on the patio in the shade. The fans were definitely a big help. The hand sanitizer wasn't working on the patio, so that was a big disappointment. We had to bring each of the kids back in to the restrooms to wash hands again before eating, after they played on the playground. The gal taking our order was super friendly and answered all of our questions as we placed our order. We all enjoyed the food, no shortage of mustard on my $1 hot dog!

The burger was okay. The fried pockles were soggy. Service is lacking. I walked where the woman was giving one woman her pickup order and looked at me and walked away without asking if she can help me. Getting used to those people being nasty. Iy mist be a thing with them.

Definitely a winner. Just moved from Chicago and found this fabulous burger joint. Have picked up from there and had delivery. Both were great.

This is great for children weather permitting. The food was really good for fast food.

It's a nice roomy place. The playground is definitely targeted for kids older than 5. There are free refills and silverware. The place was dim and comfortable. There are many tables, all made of wood. The menu has a wide range of options when it comes to food. They keep the place clean and not sticky all over. Food was very good, I loved it, but I little bit pricey for what it costs.

This place delivers a perfect balance of reasonable food, fast service, and a chill and fun environment for the kids. I won't sit here and tell you that they are the best burgers you can get anywhere or that they always do the fastest job cleaning off tables after people leave, but Hat Creek delivers 100% on its value proposition as a casual spot to bring the family where the kids can run around and burn off some energy. There is a decent variety of food options: all sorts of hamburgers, grilled chicken, turkey burger, veggie burgers, hot dogs or grilled cheese for the kids, chicken nuggets, sweet potato or regular fries, etc. Personally I have no beef (haha) with any of those options; everything I've tasted was good. My go to lately has been the grilled chicken sandwich with a bunch of jalapenos in a lettuce wrap so I don't go into carb overload. My kids will eat that or the hamburger and it's great for them; they are good enough that even my 4-year old will kill a grown-up chicken sandwich, so we don't mess with the kids' menu anymore. One tip: standing in line is a waste of time. Go on their website and place your order for pickup. There are a lot of options on the menu and a lot of customizations you can make for each item in doing it this way eliminates the pressure of having people standing behind you while you try to figure it all out. We could do this before coming to the restaurant and it will be ready when you get there, or just skip the line and go get a table and order from there. When you place your order for ASAP pickup it will get you an ETA that might be a little farther than you would want, but they are almost always ready within 10-15 minutes (and most likely before all of the people who you would have been standing behind in line). Just don't listen for your name because they do not call out names on pickup orders; go check the pickup rack after 10 minutes or so. The play area outside is pretty reasonable but it does get a bit crowded for the kids sometimes. It is secure in that there is a decent fence and no gate in or out without the kids having to come through the patio where all the parents are sitting and back in through the restaurant. However, pretty much every time we go there are some bigger kids who might get a little rough or try to block the slide. Sometimes I will have to go shout up this light for kids to please stop walking it and one time I had to ask a store employee to go find the parents of a kid who was playing a little rough. This is a little bit of a nuisance but not enough to affect the overall experience. If you're looking for a fun place to take the family this is definitely worth checking out.

Great place for burgers and fries. Good tastes freshly made staff is also friendly and fast. Out door seating is very spacious however they play place is not suitable for kids under 5 and usually kids are playing football or soccer and basically does not allow other kids to run around.

This restaurant was clean inside and out. Workers were kind and busy bees I had the Cobb salad and it was perfect! Girls had the grilled cheese kids meal and so good. Boys had the chicken nuggets and it was the perfect size for kiddos. Husband had the cowboy burger and it was delish! Outside was fun with kids playing on the play place. Such a great place to bring the kiddos for a day out

Good delicious, and sooooo many gluten free items! Order is always ready on time. Ambiance is fun, family-friendly environment with a playground. Staff interactions are average.

This is an interesting concept which doesn't really pan out well. They're trying to be a mix between fast food and a sit down/family gathering place, and as a result the food is rather expensive but still feels very fast-food like and bit gimmicky. The dining area was pretty small and because of the bases of the tables it's really hard to push the chairs in, so people just don't and that makes it rather hard to walk around. Also pretty loud in there and as there is a playground, there are a lot of children around. Not a bad thing, just something to be aware of if you're very sound sensitive. That said, the burgers were really good and the service was excellent!

Great place to go with the kids as they can play and it's casual. And good food too. I love that they have turkey and veggie burger options!

The burgers and chicken nuggets are delicious. The fries are so good as well! The service is great and pretty fast. Great place to eat with kids with a cute fenced playground outside.

Great food and quick! The sauces are awesome. The new slushies are really tasty. I really liked that there is an order ahead option as well.

Chicken sandwich on a gluten free bun was excellent. Service was swift and courteous. The inside was clean, and they even have a covered patio with a huge jungle gym for the kiddos! I'd never eaten here before but glad to have stopped in - will be back when I'm in TX again!

A kids paradise! (And a little break for the parents! ) Here a kid friendly spot that I think any kid loves to be at and an easy spot to meet up with others. The playground outside makes it an adventure everyone! Sometimes, during peak hours it can feel hectic, but when you can have a little break from the children and let their energy out, there's really nothing I can complain about. Thankful we live close by and can come here for any meal! The food is delicious too! We are coming back!

Overpriced and shrunk down portions for those HIGH Prices. Eating at Burger House used to be a good value. It's just another overpriced burger joint now.

Your at home and don't feel like cooking a hamburger and fries then this is the place for you!!! The food is presented and taste exactly like something you would make at home. Not necessarily a bad thing just not what I was expecting. I thought I was getting the same level as Five guys or something similar. The shakes are awesome. The cheese fries left a lot to be wanted. It's fries with shredded cheddar sprinkled on top. Literally something I would do at home. I got the original burger and it didn't have any lettuce or tomatoes it was basically a dry burger on a great bun. Basically a upscale McDonalds.

This was our first time here. The burger I ordered tasted great, but it was small. I mean I was half-expecting the burgers to be bigger. Again I was not disappointed by the taste. But now I know not to go there when I am starving. This would be a good place to go when you are moderately hungry. Our son loved the playground.

Great spot for families with younger kids. There is a Playscape outside. Burgers are good and I love their homemade dipping sauces. Staff were friendly. Took one star off because the tables could have been cleaned better. We tried a few different tables and they were all sticky.

This is a good place to go with your family or meeting up with friends who have kids. The food is pretty good and there aren't many places that have a play area anymore.

I've been going with the grandkids since they opened. Fun for the kids and fun for adults to be able to sit and chat while the kids play. Keeps the house from being destroyed. The food is... pretty okay. Sweet potato fries and regular fries are super good. I love that they have a paleo and a keto bowl. The only beef I have is with the beef. It's usually small and overly firm, think hockey puck. Other than that I highly recommend it if you have kids with you. They are running and yelling all over the place so you might think about somewhere else if great food or quietness is your goal.

Very good food, I went on a Saturday very kid friendly. Very cute restaurant, was able to watch college football while eating. The nuggets was tasty, burger cooked perfectly n cheese fries was yummy. Definitely will be coming back to try the chicken sandwich

I am unimpressed with this location. We ordered our food to go because our little one was nearing nap time. I ordered the cheddar bacon chicken sandwich wrapped in lettuce. They don't have GF bread like the other locations. My chicken sandwich came with only mayo and cheese on it. No tomato or bacon. Bacon is in the title of the name. How do you forget that?? I ordered the chicken nuggets and tots for my son. Each kids meal comes with a drink so I asked for milk. When we got home and opened our bags, there was no kids milk. The chicken nuggets were dry and very tough to eat. Not something I'd ever order again. The shakes had a good flavor, however there must be something wrong with their machines because they were very milky. It's as if they didn't have any frozen consistency to them. I wouldn't recommend going here. It seems they are in too big of a rush to worry about quality of food and making sure orders are correct.

Cheap, good, and fun. The burgers are reasonalbly priced (pro tip the kids burger is the same size as the adults) and the sides are a must get. If this is in your area make it your comfort cheap spot for a burger. Not as great as Keller's but I'll tell you what, if you've got kids they'll love this spot much more than Keller's haha

I saw this place had recently opened and time to give it a try. It was nearing closing time and the staff looked beat. This location seems like it will be a hit for the take out crowd and it didn't seem like a lot of places to sit. It does look like they are set up for the take out crowd. Lots of kids were running around on the adjoining playground. There are lots of cool things for children to enjoy themselves upon. I ordered a Big Hat and fries and had my burger in no time. The burger was good. The cheese, tomato and lettuce made it a great burger. The fries were good. It does seem a bit pricey but the quality is there. The staff attitude drug down my thoughts on this place. I'll have to give them another try as it is near me.

Hat Creeks are great places to go for good burgers and a nice playground for the kids to run around in. We've been to this location quite a few times because it's close to my work. It's fast food style ordering but with better than "fast food" food. They also have a variety of craft beers and wine to wash it all down with. I normally order the "little hat," which is a single burger. The ingredients are always fresh and actually looks appetizing when it comes out. If you're a bigger eater I'd recommend the "big hat." The staff has always been great here, always friendly and welcoming. The space is a little smaller than others that I've been to and can be hard to find a seat when they're busy.

Reasonably priced food. Good location. First burger I've had in a long time, and the baby burger I had was a treat. However, this is a kid's spot. Birthday parties on weekends. Children running around everywhere, screaming and shrieking while Mom and Dad pretend they are on vacation. I was supposed to meet some adult friends there. This is not an adult hangout. Young boys (of course boys) were climbing over us, behind us, around us. Obnoxious even if it's your kid. I wolfed down the burger and left. Much better ways to spend a quiet morning. If you love shrieking out of control young children and inexpensive food, this is your happy place. And FYI, I do have children and grandchildren -- but I don't do loud children's parties. Hurts my old ears and eyes and brain.

Decided to try this particular place out because of the playground. My toddler enjoyed it a little too much because he didn't want to leave. The food was nothing special. I ordered a veggie burger, it was... no words, actually! It's was hard, flacky, and falling apart. It was definitely overcooked because when I bit into the burger, it burned the roof of my mouth. It's been 6 days now, and I'm still having to slowly chew because it's still sensitive. I definitely won't revisit this place, but I can say the kiddos will love it!

Has so many gluten free options. I can safely eat there with celiac disease! The fried chicken flashers are so good. The only place it's safe to eat fried chicken.

I placed my order online to be picked up in an hour. I was worried that they might make it early and it would be cold when I got there. I was there 5 minutes before my lock up time and they were still working on it and it was ready right on time. Food was delicious

My 1st time here and I'm impressed. I'll definitely be back and will bring my family and friends! I had the Cowboy Burger in a bowl. I thought it would come with lettuce and tomatoes,but it didn't. I should have asked. I changed my order from raw onions to grilled onions and it was a delicious burger! I added a tiny amount of Happy Sauce. It was yummo! I highly recommend the burgers and the place is both cozy and comfy. I love the "backyard!" There's a covered porch with huge fans to keep ya cool. The inside is nice too. It's a great place to kick back with family and friends and enjoy a juicy burger. I do wish there were cowboy hats" in the decorations. lol! But all in all, I like the vibe and the food. It's a win!

staff is amazing and so kind. I e seen them take care of kids and a guy that came in just buying a drink because he was so dehydrAted from the dallas heat. they made sure he was ok before sending him off. this stay goes above and beyond so kudos to them and the company for truly caring

I've been to a few different locations here in Texas and this by far has to be my least favorite. It wasn't dirty but definitely less clean than other locations. there was some kind of mix-up where they thought we had complained about soggy french fries when we hadn't and for whatever reason they thought they needed to talk to us in Spanish which I do not speak and even after explaining that I didn't understand. (yes I am Hispanic but that does not mean I speak Spanish) The fries that we did receive where over-seasoned by a lot! And up until this point I had assumed If you had there sauces in one location they would be the same at all locations but something was off about there's it didn't taste bad but it didn't taste like the sauces I have had it other hat creeks. With the griping out of the way and other than the previously mentioned over seasoned fries and weird tasting sauces the food was good as one would expect from hat Creek high standards. I.e. I enjoyed my burger. One thing I did notice this visit that I had never noticed before is that use cage free eggs on their breakfast menu which is awesome. internet high-five to you hat Creek. I can't recall any other restaurant serving cage-free eggs so I was surprisingly shocked that a fast food restaurant would be doing so. get with the program McDonald's, Burger King, Jack in the Box, Wendy's it's 2020 for food sake. I do apologize if any of the previously mentioned restaurants Also Serve cage-free eggs LOL *Poor *Decent *Good *Great *Best *JLFoodie Certified Food. Decent Service. Kids LOVE this place! My kids stay entertained for 2 hours min. Great place to go when it's too chilly to sit at the park but perfect for busy play. Hat Creek has these awesome thick and sturdy plastic roll down doors that keep the heat in but easy indoor/outdoor access. The burgers are great. The fries are occasionally over-seasoned (depending on location) but doesn't sour the experience. The one time they were just WAY too seasoned to stand, we asked for new and there was no problem. LOVE this option especially since most indoor play places are closed at fast food.
