We had 2 sandwiches here, the Hugo and the Mojito. They were great. The fresh bread tasted so good and cheese was so fresh. The store is incredibly clean and I felt like I could eat off the floor. I really want to try one of their desserts next and perhaps the brisket. See you soon.

Details is just about what this place needs to be sublime. The products they offer are of very good quality. Their bread is really good and perfectly baked. The menu is short and straightforward. The service is about right, professional and thats it. Classic and well crafted coffee. I personally expected a little more service attitude from the employees and a lot more deli meat in the sandwiches, but since the quality of them was exceptional I’m not upset with it. The star of the meal, the bread. The ice cream is just fine. For reference: $50 for 2 sandwiches and 2 iced coffees. + $9 for 2 generous scoops of ice cream.

I have just moved in the neighborhood, I wanted to give a try to all the businesses walkable distance from my house (beside erewhon) and this place did not disappoint. Great sandwich, I was told I could put anything on any bread I wanted so I chose their veggie option on challah and it was a great experience! Reasonable price too. Tried their puffed pastry, made fresh in house. The salad seemed not to attract me. Really recommending this place if you are passing by!

Tried their gelato. I had the sweet amarena and hazelnut. The amarena was pretty good but the hazelnut was disappointing. I’m a big fan of hazelnut gelato too. The gelato is decent overall. The place is nice and has a cool vibe. Parking is difficult in this part of town.

Their charcuterie set exceeded my expectation!! I’m so glad I chose to purchase here. For the price, and the fact that I didnt need to purchase ahead like some other places, this is far more than satisfying. All the cheese, meat and olives were creamy and tasty! Perfect for picnicking!! Definitely will be back and I hope they stay this way!

What a cute little marketplace!! I was nearby at a museum and stumbled across this place searching F&B nearby. I devoured my delicious grappa sandwich in less than 10 minutes!! My partner, also did the same with his Paloma sandwich. I asked for a bite of his and it was also delicious. Seriously, I could taste every single ingredient listed on the description of the menu. Have you ever had arugula soaked in olive oil before, so from then you asked to skip it from whatever you were eating altogether? Well, fear no more! I am here to report that I was able to still taste the freshness of the arugula with a hint of oiliness only. I was going to order more bakery items, but I was so full that I couldn't. Until next time when I return to this area!

Tried their salads - octopus salad and chopped salad. Both were refreshing. The octopus was fresh. Had tiramisu for dessert. The staff were friendly and helpful.

A little pricey? Everything on the menu is $15 plus dollars, but with places like Jersey Mike's charging almost $10 for added guacamole and cheese for a total of $20 for a half-sub, I'd rather get a sandwich here along with a chic ambiance (I absolutely love the hundreds of wine bottles on the walls--makes it feel like a romantic, candle-lit dinner inside a wine cellar). What I ordered: The Pastrami Di Fumo: Thick slices of Pastrami, crispy pickled onions, creamy cole slaw, and mustard on Rye. Simple and hit the spot. What my friends ordered: My friend loves brisket, so he had to go with the Brisket di Annerita (I almost considered ordering this myself but opted for the former). Generous slices of smoked brisket, BBQ sauce, creamy Cole slaw, and crispy pickled onions. Honestly, it didn't hit home with me off the two bites I had. I expected the brisket to be more flavorful and juicy, instead I got a subpar tasting-experience. Maybe my bar for smoked brisket is just too high. The French Connection: I work at a French Cafe, so there was no way I was going to order this despite being told by the cashier it was one of the most popular options next to the Cosmopolitan e Rosati...nonetheless, the few bites I tried from my friend's order were really tasty! Prosciutto Cotto Ham, Brie Cheese, Comichons, tomato, lettuce, and mustard. I appreciate how fresh the baguette was, too. The counter staff is really friendly and knowledgeable about the menu! A 10/10 experience all-around. I'll be back to try a cheesecake (chocolate mouse cheesecake, I'm eyeing you).

Learned about this spot whilst dining at Della Terra a couple weeks ago. We ordered coffee at the restaurant and it was brought over from next door. Today we decided to go there directly after dinner instead of ordering in the restaurant. They have tons of options for baked goods and pastries (also serving sandwiches). We tried the mascarpone cheesecake with lattes. Yummy yummy! Definitely recommend and will return. They have a large selection of wines that they sell too, as well as a gelato/ice cream section in the back of the cafe. Luis helped us both times and he's great. We purchased a champagne he suggested - can't wait to try it!

This bakery/shop is right next to Della Terra. Parking is definitely a challenge here and if you are lucky enough to score a spot on the street, grab it right away. There seemed to be some parking spots across the street though. Came in and ordered a latte with pumpkin spice with oat milk. For a medium sized coffee, it was pretty expensive. I was charged $1.25 extra for the oat milk. Granted, they do make their own oat milk. I found the pumpkin spice syrup they put in made the drink a little sour. It definitely is not Starbucks PSL. Plus, there were little chunks of something at the bottom of the cup, which I did not drink. They have a gelato shop on the other side and thought the pistachio gelato was pretty good, but wished it had a stronger pistachio flavor. If I was ever in the area again, I would definitely give this place another shot as I think the pumpkin spice syrup might have been at the end of its life. Also, their pre-packed pint of gelato is available in a freezer that you can just grab and go. My pistachio was $12.

Warmer weather puts me in the mood for sandwiches. My friend was in the area and took my order and brought it over. I ordered a Cosmopolitan e Rosati sandwich which includes prosciutto di parma, fresh mozz, tomato, basil, arugula, and pesto vinaigrette. I was impressed with the size of the sandwich! It was also generously packed, you definitely got and tasted every ingredient in every bite. I loved the pesto and the mozzarella. It didn't feel heavy and tasted fresh and herby. It was so filling, I ate half and saved the half for later. Prices were great and I would get it again. I hear the rest of their sandwiches are also really great so maybe I'll just have to go down the menu one sandwich at a time. We also ordered iced lattes. They were ok.

I am glad we stopped by twice during our visit in LA, and I would come again next time! The lattes are basic and solid which was so good to have after an overly-sugary "coffee" from another shop. The pastries are great as well. I had croissant one day and the lemon meringue another day, and I'd definitely eat them again. My boyfriend had their sandwiches both days and he liked both of them. We actually came back the second time because he really wanted to try their special pastrami sandwich, which he said was totally worth it. The service is good, and both inside and outside decor reminds you of a cozy bistro somewhere in Europe. There isn't a lot of seating but I can also see this place being more of a grab and go shop so maybe that's intentional.

Ordered a Gimlet Bianca and they forgot to add the bacon... for an $18 sandwich, getting the components correct should be the minimum standard.

Amazing place to grab a quick bite to eat. Great for lunch. Great if you're in a rush. Great if you want a great bite. MOJITO SANDWICH is vegetarian and very tasty. The bread is amazing. Each vegetable ingredient was prepped for maximum compatibility with the other veggie ingredients. Tastes fresh. Very filling. Large enough for two people with average appetites. LATTE is appropriately strong and tasty. Croissant is flaky enough. Iced hot chocolate was super rich and creamy. No line to order. Very short wait before our order was ready. A few indoor and outdoor seating available. Somewhat of a market too. You can buy a few grovery items in here -- artisanal, not generic stuff. Didn't get a chance to try their ice cream. Street metered parking.

Simply WOW! What a great establishment. I'm a Hollywood native that loves everything French and Italian. No other place does both so well. Incredible coffee specialties too! Lots of grocery items that are hard to find elsewhere. VERY reasonable prices and they make EVERYTHING bakery wise fresh on premises. What a treat. Don't miss this place!

Love this place! Fantastic cakes, pastries, sandwiches, wine, ice cream, cheese and much more. I've been here a few times and always leave ecstatic. Their wine selection is amazing. The cakes and pastries are delicious and spot on. I always want to get their cheese and charcuterie meats, but I live a bit too far.

I've only tried their charcuterie board and it was really good. I love the white cheddar and fresh mozzarella cheeses and the salami were all good and of good quality. The plate setting was perfect and the components such as the dried apricot, jam and walnuts were such good pairing (sweet, savory, salty). The baguette slices were really good as well! Con: there was liquid i am assuming from the olives that caused the cheese to get soggy, no good. But overall it was really good and will definitely come back for more of that.

My first visit and was thrilled with the food, ambiance, and service. Staff was so kind and even let me order a salad that was only available in the restaurant and brought it to me. Caesar salad was on of the best I've ever had! Sandwich was delicious - maybe just too much bread for me. 10/10 will be back and looking for more options

OHHH WOWWWW!! This place was such an amazing find! I love the name, LOL! Although contradictory to the food, it is in no way a " Mess" ! Lol! This bread was so fresh,& the sandwich meat quality is superb! Perfect amounts of everything and the menu choices all fantastic! Being from NY and loving deli sandwiches my entire life, to this place- we will be returning. We ordered it on Uber Eats,& next time will most likely try to go in to experience the little shop and all of its cute offerings we saw in some photos. We ordered the Gimlet sandwich which was about a foot or more long & the Old Fashioned which was on crusty square rustic looking fresh bread. They make creative coffees as well as desserts. I had opted for a little something sweet with the Tiramisu. It was really good although for this being my favorite Italian dessert I am super critical, so I have had better. I never mind spending a bit more money for great quality food items,& although this is on the pricier side, it was well worth the spend. I gave it 4 stars because they forgot the provolone on my sandwich which is a favorite of mine when getting deli items. The coffee was good but I would opt to go a bit sweeter with my choice next time. I strongly recommend trying this place out, especially for the freshest bread that I think I have ever had in any LA sandwich shop!

Recently tried Haute Mess, not in love. I got the Gimlet Bianca Sandwich and felt it was totally unbalanced and not my favorite Sando. The sourdough baguette didn't taste fresh and was way too hard making it challenging to eat. (Pro tip, squish the bread a few times to make it manageable to eat) This was to be Turkey w bacon, and a few veggies but all you can taste in the overpowering flavor of the bacon, can't even taste the turkey or the avocado aioli. I ended up adding deli mustard to add depth to the flavor of the sandwich. All in all based off first impressions I wouldn't recommend this sandwich spot.

I ordered for delivery and wanted something satisfying and filling. I got the gimlet bianca (turkey/bacon/avocado sauce) and it's to die for. I got it on the sourdough baguette so the bread was nice and crispy with the sauce to soften the inside. I also got their fresh OJ and potato chips and it's the perfect lunch. I saw the other reviews say the service is excellent in store and it definitely translates with my delivery order. Personalized stickers, sandwich made with care, all items packaged with care. I will definitely be returning, either in person or delivery again!

This place is fantastic! Cant believe I stumbled here one Sunday evening looking for a great sandwich spot Haute Mess is an amazing sandwich coffee wine meat pastry spot that also has its own Gelato/Gelateria tucked away in the back It is really pleasantly designed interior & the food are all top notch, many if not all of them mostly imported from Italy. I heard they are the same owners as the Italian restaurant next door that is really popular as well I have only tried Gelato a few times here & was very happy. But, the sandwiches is where they got me. Ive tried almost all of them. So far 1 of their seasonal specials the Brisket Sandwich blew me away & is my favorite along with the Cosmopolitan with Prosciutto. The quality, flavor, freshness & portions were all perfect. The sandwiches are all fresh made after ordering. I just recently found out they could also make fresh lemonade sodas or regular Italian sodas thats not on the menus. Amazing! Their meats are all prime & they sell a lot of pastry even a good selection of wines & panettone imported. The breads are all made fresh & not the hard crusty ones from other spots. Prices have gone up over the years but so has everywhere else, used to get all their sandwiches from anywhere from $11-$12 now they're around $15-$20 The seating is not as robust, there is a couple of 2 seaters & thats about it. If it gets busy might not have places to sit & eat. Parking is not easy as it is directly across the street from Erewhon Overall great atmosphere, food & energy. I love this place & will be a customer here always!

Wow, what a find! We ordered the Cosmopolitan e Rosati and it was delicious! The bread was absolutely amazing, fresh and ripe tomatoes, the pesto sauce was just enough, and the arugula was perfectly seasoned. I wish we had more time to try more food here. The sorbet and gelato is also delicious. Highly recommend! The employees that worked there were very nice and helpful.

I love this bakery! I love the lemon meringue there, my husband loves the recently introduced Napoleon, he also really likes the cheesecakes. In addition to the cakes, there is decent, tasty coffee and bread

We were in the area and were looking for a quick bite when we came across Haute Mess. I love a great sandwich, but finding one isn't always easy. The interior of the establishment is modern. Upon entering, you order on the left, and on the right side, they have a few tables set up for dining in. We asked for recommendations and ended up ordering the Cosmopolitan and the French Connection--both sandwiches were delicious. You can choose the bread, so for the Cosmopolitan, we selected the soft baguette. Not only did the bread taste great, but the sandwich ingredients were also fresh. I especially liked the taste of the fresh mozzarella paired with the pesto. The French Connection was my husband's favorite. We ordered it on a regular baguette, which is crunchier, and the bread was just as fresh. The highlight of this sandwich was the dijon mustard and the cornichons in each bite. Tip: if you're not too hungry, I'd recommend sharing a sandwich because they're on the larger size and pretty filling. We're picky about our sandwiches, but Haute Mess was definitely a pleasant surprise. We'll be back for sure when in the area.

It's my third time indulging in their mascarpone cheesecake. It's the most scrumptious cheesecake ever. Aside from that, I've also tried the Gibson di Carne, a marinara meatball sandwich with melted mozarella. Today, I ordered the Mess Burger. I'm a huge marinara meatball sandwich and giant burger fanatic. Now the ingredients here are high quality and I can taste the difference. The burger was cooked medium rare just the way I ordered it. I would say they rely on the raw flavors of the ingredients more than other places that would mask it with sauce. Is it pricey here? I would say no, considering the inflation of menu prices elsewhere, I think the prices here are fair. And I'm referring to their sandwiches, cafe, and bakery. I have no insight into their cheese and wine selection. My only desire is for them to get a bigger place with seating and Wifi. I really enjoyed their affogato as well. I would totally come to work here. It's different environment with their quality cheese and wine selection, which I may never touch.

This is our go to place in Mid-City for sandwiches, the sandwich quality is usually on point. Their service is also excellent. They have an impressive selection of european-based, wine, food, and gelato. However, they've raised their prices substantially in the last 6 months. I get a price increase due to inflation and the progressiveness that is California law. However $2 per sandwich is pretty ballsy. Of course, California businesses are not raising salaries to match this sky high inflation and minimum wage law price bumps..

If you're looking for a great espresso or an authentic Italian sandwich this is a great location. They have their own fresh baked bread a huge wine menu and seating outside as well as inside. Their sandwiches or out of this world real authentic cold cuts and delicious deli meats. They're solids look like artwork and are definitely a great option for to go.

Lovely little spot along a busy stretch of Melrose. Coffee was terrific, madeleines were a little dense, and the personal touch of service was sublime.

Not a single complaint except...maybe the sandwiches should come with silverware without asking because ours was huge. I mean two-hands, two-people massive. We went with the only veggie option on the menu (tons of veggies, lotsa cheese, thick crusty bread) and it was delicious. At first I'd thought the prices were a bit high but then I saw the thing! Entirely worth it. Also cute space, plenty of outdoor seating, and they make the muffins so they're mostly top. We will be back.

I loved this place at first sight just from the name. Haute Mess! Brilliant. Beautiful market and cheese shop on Beverly Blvd. and they make great chopped salads and fresh sandwiches, amongst other things. Try the mascarpone cheesecake! Super friendly staff. Nicely decorated and they also have outdoor seating to enjoy a sunny day.

Sandwiches are a little overpriced for their size but the quality is generally good. Pastries are pretty good. Depending on who is working, the person at the counter might be friendly, rude, or awkward. Awkward is fine, but rude is eye-rolling.

It was my first time trying their foods. The burger, the sandwich, and the iced americano were all very delicious it's a great location that you can take foods and go the pan pacific park!

Hate Mess makes some of the best sandwiches in all of Los Angeles - which is saying a lot given the number of options around town. They make a ton of fabulous sandwiches using premium ingredients and delicious, crispy bread. The tuna sandwich is my favorite with the prosciutto sandwich coming in at close second. You also cannot go wrong with their baked goods. 11/10!

Every time we came to try another bread, we asked for butter and jam. 50 cents each small container. Every time, there is only one jam selection - fig - and we fell in love with it. So we would ask for a few small containers and pay 50 cents each. Until today, when the lady in charge told us they used to carry jars, but no more. She even suggested we go to Trader Joe's. The baker even admitted that they do not make the jam. He went to check and found, to his astonishment, they even have a button on the computer for a side of jam and/or butter. Oh, he did not like that! The client was telling the truth! What a wonderful idea: A repeat client is asking for the same jam, but in a larger container. NO. And a side, like always? NO. Go to Trader Joe's. Thanks. Excellent suggestion: "DO NOT BOTHER TO COME HERE AGAIN. WE ARE NOT ACCOMMODATING. WE ARE NOT PROUD OF WHAT WE SERVE. WE DO NOT WANT TO PROMOTE IT. AND REPEAT CUSOTMERS? WE HAVE ENOUGH. GO AWAY. DO NOT COME BACK!"

Excellent sandwiches and salads. My coworkers and I dream about this place....both take out and dine in are good experiences.

If you miss Jerry's Deli and have a yen for Pastrami, try Haute's Pastrami di Fumo. Thick slices of smoked Pastrami with sauce, slaw and crunchy fried onions on a soft bun. This spot has high demand and a small, polite staff but there may be a wait. It's well worth it. Haute has very high standards. The pastries are also very well done.

The place is really cute and I'm sure the food is probably good. I only got some hot chocolates and a peppermint mocha at around 8pm and the place felt very dead. I had to wait a bit to order and get the drinks done even though there were no other customers. The drinks were decent but the place is really cute so they get a couple bonus points from me.

You wouldn't think that a French coffee shop/market would make a decent hamburger, but they do. In a quest to find the best burgers in LA, a friend and I went to Haute Mess. The burgers were great--cooked perfectly, with lots of flavor. We liked the place so much that we bought some baguettes to take home. They were also delicious.

I haven't dined at the restaurant yet , but I have had plenty of . & pick up! Delicious sandwiches & desserts! The staff are friendly & helpful. In the summer we get sandwiches & salads to take to the Hollywood Bowl or a Dodgers Game! I like you are able to choose the type of bread ( fresh baked) for your sandwich. Parking is a little difficult have to find the perfect time or cross your fingers! Lol! Good Food! My favs are the old fashioned salami & giblets Bianca sandwich

I love the coffee drinks here. My favorite is the caramel glacée. It is like an ice blended drink but is not too sweet and still tastes like coffee. Service is always quick, and there is a very cute western Eruopean vibeinside.

It's ridiculous to charge $16 for a box of arugula... With a side of Tiny sauce containers of tomato and cucumber and even smaller for the cheese. Should've got the sandwich instead? Maybe? But now I will never know after this bad experience. I don't think I've ever had a bad salad.

Love this spot. Got the cosmipoliitan sandwich and bread was super fresh and ingredients were great, burrata melts in your mouth. Prices were also very fair which I greatly appreciate. Besides the sandos they also have a little market with FRESH SPAGHETTI and sauces that look delicious. Gelato also looks out of this world. How did I not know this place was around sooner??? Will certainly be back!

Love this place so much. Amazing sandwiches, salad & gelato. I love the appletini sandwich as well as their prosciutto and burrata. The bread is so good and the flavors of each ingredient really comes through with every bite. The space is cute & clean and has seating to dine in but I usually order ahead and pick up. If you're looking for a more speciality sandwich spot, this is it. So glad this place is in my neighborhood.

A cute little Italian bakery/deli located behind the grove. The interior is beautiful and spacious with a wide selection of breads, pastries, Italian goods, and even a gelato station! I ordered the old fashion salumi and the french connection. Both were really delicious, but I loved the bread that came with the old fashion. It was a thick, pillow ciabatta that complemented the ingredients of the sandwich. It is a little pricey, especially compared to wine & cheese, but the portion size and the quality of the ingredients really make up for it. I would love to come back to explore the gelato station!

I love this place and they have one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in a long time. Everything just tasted so fresh. Loved the bacon and eggs and aoili and arugula and the bread so basically everything haha. The coffee is strong and delicious here. Few indoor seats and some outdoor seats. I want to eat everything here, that is a good sign.

This is my preferred coffee shop, I recommend the Española hot or cold! The sandwiches are amazing, try the gimlet! The staff is so consistent and employees genuinely seem happy to take care of customers! The wine selection is also very high quality, but tends to be on the middle to higher end of pricing. Great for gifting and enjoying yourself. Also, they are pet friendly and even have snacks t the counter for dogs!

Truly my favorite sandwiches in LA!! Perfectly made, great bread, better ingredients. The desserts are exquisite and the prices are even better.

The ambiance is nice. The business has out door eating. The staff is very nice and always available to assist when needed. I love the pastry's. Some of my favorites are chocolate cheesecake. And the fruit tart.

Cute little place walking distance from our hotel. I enjoyed sitting outside while sipping my wine and snacking on the omnivore platter. They let us choose our cheese and meats which made this a steal. The service was friendly and happy to entertain all my questions.

Cute gourmet market that has everything that you need! From sandwiches, to coffee, to wine and cheese, pickled goods, Haute Mess-made pasta noodles, sauce, chips and gelato. Stopped by for some gelato since I heard they opened it up a few days ago. It is a bit hidden in the back of the market so you wouldn't see it just looking from the outside. I highly recommend stopping by though! All their gelato is made by Haute Mess and they have unique flavors. My favorite was the lavender.

5-star just for that vanilla cream donut. When it's just right (and not over fried) it's heavenly! I almost don't want to rave about these beauties b/c they ran out twice in the 4times I ordered from them. Latte- add a shot, otherwise too weak. Sandwiches- Gimlet (turkey) and Cosmo (prosciutto)- nothing great. A bit too wet. Bread- too hard. Skip their sandwiches and order the cream donuts, but save some for me.

These sandwiches are so good that we came two days in a row! Very generous portions and the finest quality ingredients. Both times we got the Cosmopolitan sandwich, as it was so delicious, but their whole menu looks amazing. We ordered cappuccinos and a pan au chocolat the second day, it really hit the spot! Friendly and quick service, looks like many great options for unique pastas and other goods/wines. Next time we will try their desserts and other pastries. We can not wait to return. Lovely patio on Beverly and lots of parking nearby.
