This restaurant is nice place to go to for after work, hanging out with friends and family, or just if you want to get something to eat or sit at a bar to have a drink. The music they play is relaxing and sometimes loud but you can still talk and have a great time. I recommend this restaurant 100%.

There was a misunderstanding about the meal however Oscar (our waiter) accommodate the change. We were so satisfied with the meal. It was a sufficient amount and the service from the bus man to the waiter was professional and kind. Eduardo is very kind and pleasant. The ambiance it's rustic and trendy. I've coming here a while and still like it

Its a very nice place. My server was very attentive. Unfortunately I was not very happy with my drink, passion fruit did not appear to be pulp or fresh juice, it had more of a taste like a store brand juice. That was a downer for me. Also I ordered an appetizer that was gd yet not to my liking. The music was awesome and the lighting is perfect so I recommend everyone give it a try, I'm a picky eater so your experience may be better than mine.

Vibes on point. The music was great, the food was absolutely banging, and the drinks were straight fire 🔥. Perfect spot to eat, sip, and enjoy the energy. Definitely coming back.

I’ve been coming to Havana Cafe for over 10 years, and while it’s definitely changed over time, the vibe still hits every time. On my recent visit, the drinks were absolutely on point!! On point like a porcupine! The DJ kept the energy high, and the atmosphere was lively and fun as always. That said, the food wasn’t at its best this time. The white rice was a bit hard, and there weren’t many steak options to choose from. Service could’ve been more attentive too. Still, the overall experience made up for the downsides. If you’re coming for the music, drinks, and a great night out, Havana Cafe still delivers. Just hoping they tighten up the food and service a bit!

It was really delicious. Vegan Paella was really worth getting we shared it so it was anice amount of food. The fried Yuca also good

5-17 - Bad Service / Flavorless food. Bad Service. The place was empty at 3 pm on a Saturday. We had to ask for plates and utensils. The appetizers were brought to us before any plates or utensils. What are we supposed to eat with? The place was pretty empty, yet there was a lack of service for my party of 10. I had to wait a very long time to ask for a drink refill. No one came by every now and then to check to see if anyone in a party of 10 needed a refill or anything else. The drinks were heavily water down and FULL of ice. I ordered a single ginger ale and it was 75% ice and 25% ginger ale. It was full of water 15min later as the ice melted quickly. The other drinks my family ordered was also an entire glass of ice with minimal alcohol beverage. The same for my kids Shirley Temple. They didn't even want anything to drink again it was so bad. The food was very bland. The pollo al mojo was unseasoned. All they did was cook the white meat and then add the sauce on top after. The same could be said for the Salmon. It was also unseasoned and the sauce poured on top after. The Palomilla was the same thing, steak cooked without seasoning and the sauces added to it after. My children did not like the Arroz con pollo due to the lack of chicken. 90% rice 10% very small pieces of chicken. And my teenage kids are good eaters and know flavor. I ordered a side of avocado to go with my meal and they literally brought me an entire plate full of a whole sliced up avocado. The appetizers were much better than the meals. The emepandas were really good as well as the chicharon de pollo. These best part about our meal were their Maduros. Everyone agreed was amazing. I would not recommend coming here again unless you only ate appetizers and maduros. The tables were all very sticky from overuse and years of improper cleaning. The best part about this place was the live DJ and his music. Avoid this place if you want authentic Cuban food or drinks. And no, im not sorry for my detailed post. They need to do better.

Always a favorite. I go to this location at least a few times a year. A couple of friends and I decided to get a couple of drinks for Super Bowl Sunday. A couple of drinks turned into a few. The DJ is always a vibe, the bartenders were the bomb and the food was good. I ordered 3 rum punches, tostones and the vegan quesadilla. My friends ordered the Palomilla, white rice and black beans, one had 4 coconut mojitos, my other friend had 3 rum punches and then we finished off with lemon drop shots.

Went today for my girlfriend's birthday brunch. The DJ was awesome, he played a little of everything and it was the best! Had everyone dancing and singing in their seats. The pre fixe brunch menu was perfect: had the pastelon for appetizer, the churrasco w/scrambled eggs and for the drink: the passion fruit sangria which you have to get!!! The meal was great too!

Still great. After all these years. We will be a forever fan. Especially the f*¢k!ng Pargo Mofongo.

Ventured out to this spot while visiting family nearby. I went with the Shrimp Mofongo, and it really exceeded my expectations (I'm a Mofongo snob!) The texture of the Mofongo was rich; filled with crunchy chicharonnes, and topped off with a delicious creole sauce. The only thing I have to say wasn't that great was my cocktail. It was just a little too sweet for me, and tasted like an artificial juice was added.

The food is delicious. I highly recommend the half tray trio dish with shrimp, chicken, steak, and yellow rice. It's to die for! Very delicious!

Service is terrible! I was spoken to in a rude way by the manager. She was not pleasant and I was placed on the waitlist but never seated. She allowed others to sit before me and my son. She needs to learn how to manage. This career isn't for her.

Their food never fails! My mother loves their churrasco steak with Moro. Everything tastes divine down to their coconut mojitos. The waitress was kind and accommodating to my dietary needs. The music choice was perfect for the vibe that Havana Cafe provides.

Wow !! Glad my brother took me to try Havana Cafe for lunch. Upon entering it had a great Cuban vibe, salsa music was awesome and ambiance was soothing. Hostess took us to your table and within a few minutes our order was taken. Excellent menu and service. Our waitress was Maddy who was attentive with our order. The food came relatively quickly and wow delicious! Didn't have any cocktails but plan to come back with my wife to try the Mojitos. Hopefully they're strong as we like them then I will revisit this review and up the stars to 5. The only con was the empanadas in my opinion. Ordered chicken empanadas but instead of getting 2 or 3 empanadas, we only got a few on a plate. They were little tiny what looked like pellets. Chef, please find a way to make these like original empanadas and place 2- 3 nice size empanadas on a plate especially for $13. Yes I highly recommend just can't say anything about cocktails just yet. I will however, return.

First time here. It was fairly busy but the service was good. The food had good flavor but my chicken was a bit overcooked. They had a DJ that night that played good music but unfortunately they sat us right next to a speaker which made it very difficult to hear and was way too loud to enjoy our meal. Overall it was good but not the typical Cuban restaurant I'm used to in Miami.

Great Spanish food and loud music. I went here twice, once for dinner and once for lunch and both times were great. The service is great, quick, and consistent. The first time we ordered an appetizer to share. It was a huge one for two and it had all kinds of meat, shrimp and yuca fries. We stayed there for hours and enjoyed the music and had a great time. The second time I ordered a bean soup. This time we sat outdoors as it was more quiet and we were able to talk. It's a great place in the Bronx.

I have been a patron of this restaurant since it opened. The food was cold, was send back and was returned cold again. The waitress took it back and the it came back hot and hard. We order salad with chicken and the chicken came out 30 minutes later after the salad was eaten. I was extremely disappointed with the service, and this has been my go to place....my waiter never came to check and we had to constantly wave to him to bring salt, plates and napkins. What happened to this place. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

We were celebrating one our Sistha's birthday....La Unica 42nd Bornday!!!!. The drinks were...were!!!. How can you order a Long Island Iced Tea and don't feel any of the long Island..just the Tea.....this is just my opinion. The pernil for our main course was ...was!!!! I don't think I was hitting for greatness. The music, the music, the music!!!!! It seems like allllllll the Spanish songs were up to date, but the African American songs were back in the days. I even asked the Dj can he play some (black) up to date songs. His response was to have to give it some time!!!! I forgot that it depends on where you go. If you go to a Spanish restaurant, most songs are Spanish. The service was ok due to the reservations we had for 18 people.

Great food, good service and ambience is very pleasing. Some times to pay a little less then the expensive restaurants, doesn't mean that the food ain't good

11.12.24 I visited this place with family. We visited during happy hour on a Tuesday. Their server Karen R. took our drink order but since one of my daughters of legal age failed to have her physical ID they refused to serve her a drink since a mobile pic of her ID wasn't accepted. my mother of 74yrs was refused a second drink all because they saw my 21yr old who had taken a sip of mine. Totally unprofessional to deny my mother a drink because of my older daughter not showing a physical ID. Then they have the audacity to charge a 18% gratitude. Never going back after they denied services to my mother.

Havana Cafe houses a 2nd location filled with a menu of Cuban Cuisine. These all-day meals pack a vegan-friendly diet! My Steak sandwich tastes much meaty!

So party of 5 Waiter ok -had to keep asking for stuff -instead of her checking in periodically -good waitress u don't have to signal consistently -yellow rice was hard like they gave us bottom of pot - wish they had more vegan option's -335dollsrs got Medicare service save your money

I went for a late lunch with my best friend to celebrate my daughter's 32nd chapter in heaven. It's a lively restaurant even early in the day. The ambiance is chill with Latin music playing in the background- not so loud that you can't hold a conversation. The menu is plentiful and mouthwatering. The food does not disappoint! We both had the pollo guisado. I had the white rice with maduros and my girlfriend had yellow rice with maduros & aguacate. For appetizers we shared bacalaitos. It was very different from our typical Puerto Rican bacalaos but then again, we were in a Cuban restaurant.... The service was great. I enjoyed a virgen Piña Colado & she enjoyed a Tito something or the other lol. Needless to say we both give this place two thumbs up!

Food- it's ok (I give them a 4.5/ 10) #KeithLee Service- too slow; staff lacks the competency and ability to adapt when numbers of visitors increase past the entrance! Ambiance- staff will ignore you and there's excessively loud music so chances are = servers cannot hear you! Just sit at the bar and enjoy mediocre drinks. Heavy handed bartenders will get you pissy drunk.. so not bad on that part! No variety! Rum drinks, sangria red and white, and that's all folks! No talent! Plain glassware and dirty/ sticky tables! No thanks!

If anyone knows Ruben, every restaurant he ever opens has every detail thought out, and this place is no exception! Staff is great and food is amazing! When they 1st came on the scene, the atmosphere was electric. They're probably do for some slight ambience modifications, but overall, it's a great spot!

Stopped by with a friend who lives nearby to try out this place for the first time. The food was very good, but the black beans needed more flavor, the taste was bland, so I asked for some olive oil which helped the taste. The service was adequate and the waitress was friendly. The ambiance was beautifully decorated with paintings about Cuba which was a nice touch. The only complaint we had was the LOUD Music the DJ was playing, we asked the waitress to please ask the DJ to lower the music because it was BLASTING, but the DJ gave deaf ears to our suggestion.

Outdoor seating, the red benches in particular, are kind of uncomfortable. Think of those benches and picnic tables out at a public park. I got the ropa vieja and thought it was alright. I'd explore the other options on the menu Service was nice

Great first time here. My server Larry was fantastic and the rest of the staff was amazing as well. Super friendly, patience and helpful since it was our first time here. Good sized restaurant, not super crowded even though it's Super Bowl Sunday. It was clean inside and out and outside there as well. Food: We had the Palomilla with rice and moro ($27) and Churrasco with rice and beans ($36). The chimi sauce was very creamy. We also, had the Pastelon Cubano (de rope vieja) $18, which was delicious. It had a sweetness from the plantains and a juiciness from the slow cooked shredded beef. Drinks: We had the cuban side cars ($14 ea.) and peach lemonades ($12 ea.) Both very good as well. I would highly recommend coming here and I'll definitely be back. Next on my food list is the Cubano and the Lechoncito. Next on my drink list is the tropical mojitos, macho and le grand fizz. There is also metered parking in and around the area, just check the signs and make sure you can park there to avoid tickets at that time.

One of hubby's and I fave spot whenever we want to go out for dinner and drinks but don't want to go far out from our neighborhood. Great drinks and well portioned meals too. Highly recommended!

Do you like delicious food and a loud environment? Havana Cafe is bumpin' every night of the week. If you want it quiet, come for lunch. The food and portions are no less for the price than you would get at dinner. Me, I've got tinnitus, so I can't take the loud, but if that's your bag, go for dinner. Fast service at lunch, a little slower at dinner when it's jammed. But that's going to happen on a busy night, so be prepared. Also be prepared for a delicious meal. Everyone in the neighborhood knows this place. Bring your friends from out of town and coworkers. Introduce them to flavor. They will ask to come back every time. You ain't getting this food in Kansas!

This is proof that when they hit, they're great... Hubby, babes and I stopped by for an impromptu lunch because we were on the area dropping off his cousin who lives in the area. It's funny, because all I could think about was their salty, sticky rice and I wanted to go back. As soon as we entered we were greeted and sat outside because it was warm and shaded well. Our server, Carmalyn (sp?) was very attentive. We ordered our drinks and food, and everything arrived fairly quickly. The one thing I would have thought would be that they would have brought out our daughter's food before ours. I mean, you could tell that they likely prepared it last because it was piping hot which also didn't help, but it came out with the adults' meals and that's almost always a no no because of how impatient kids can be and our tot was being a bit of a handful this particular day. In the end it all worked out but having her pizza out earlier would have made things loads easier. Other than that issue with the kiddie meal, everything else was fine. I tasted her pizza and it actually tasted ok. The crust had a little sweetness to it and she liked it a lot, eating it all, which is most important. Hubby had the Cubano with fries and he liked it also. I had the steak sandwich with swiss, which tasted great but again, there was a mistake made with the food. I thought they accidentally switched my fries with my husband's because his had garnish and mine did not but his were regular also. I ordered garlic fries and was given regular fries and when I brought that up to the server, she came back with the sauce they put on the garlic fries. Originally, I was a little annoyed because it was an obvious mistake by the kitchen and instead of just giving me the garlic fries I requested, I got the sauce to season them myself.....BUT, and this is a biiiiiiiiig but, sometimes mistakes work out in your favor. I also ordered a side of their white rice and I swear I used that garlic fry sauce on EVERYTHING! I put it on my steak sando, the fries AND the rice. My breath could probably keep Dracula, himself, away for a week but it was good! Garlicky and herbaceous with a tangy vinegar kick. They need to throw that on everything they can. I would love some rice with loads of that stuff mixed in it. Mistake or not, it tasted great as a condiment. You just might be having any sexy time afterwards. The majority of the food was OK and it has always been when dining in but I probably still would not order takeaway or delivery just because of their obvious expediting issues. The accuracy and consistency is not on point. Having had issues with an order months ago, coming back to give them another chance only to still have an issue with the accuracy of my order again, says a lot. I would say that you're not going to be disappointed with your food when dining in but you should expect there to be minor issues.

This place is always packed, and I mean ALWAYS. Luckily, on a Saturday afternoon they were able to seat us right away, inside! Which never happens. We were reluctant because 9/10 times there is a crazy wait and when they had closed the waitlist on yelp, we were uncertain. Anyways, atmosphere here is super dope. The drinks here are GREAT. Worth every single penny. Red Sangria -- get that and thank me later. There were a bunch of items to order off the menu and it looked super expensive. But pretty much all the food here are great. I was craving a burger so I ended up getting the cuban burger. It was delicious but was too much meat overload in it. Be prepared to taste beef, pernil and slices of ham. If you're into that type of thing, get it. The tostones here are out of this world!!! We had asked for an extra mojito sauce but the waiter never came back out with it. The boneless chicken chunks are delicious but wish it came with more than 4 pieces. Overall, Havana is a delicious place for authentic cuisine. There is a reason why they have a big fan base here! I would definitely return when in the area.

It's a nice community restaurant food & service is great. I've been in this neighborhood 25 yrs and whatever restaurant was in the property never made it past 2 years. Havana's cafe Is so good been there approximately8 yrs or more. Prices are decent for this time and age. So enjoy

Havana Cafe never fails me. I have been coming here for years and the food and drinks are consistently good. I am in love with their Alitas its always crispy and tasty. I tried the El Grande which is a lobster crab cake. It had a nice crispy crust and was delicious. I'm also hooked on their rum punch. I'm not sure of the ingredients but its a perfect blend. You should also try their homemade sangria which is not too sweet just a nice mixture. Since we are still in a Pandemic Havana Cafe is doing their part to keep everyone safe. The staff wears their mask, they check your temperature and they also get your contact information. They also have a beautiful outside dining area if you prefer to sit outside. You can't go wrong at Havana Cafe.

I've come here several times & have not been disappointed. I thought the mini empanadas although shapeless, were tasty lol (sorry no pic) Sangria was perfect for Brunch! My mofongo was yummy, there was plenty of sauce as you can see. (I prefer more sauce over having to ask for more because I was given too little) My friend had pastelon & he seemed to enjoy it...Devoured it! Not a piece in sight lol

The food was okay. My uncles, dad and abuela (grandma) all seemed happy with their meals. I was highly dissapointed with the tiny bit of platano maduro they served. It was literally sample size. But the little bit that I did have was delicious as always. At first my lemon/garlic chicken was gelatinous which always grosses me out. I just planned to take it home and cook it a bit more. I am not a fan of sending anything back to the kitchen for any reason. But my uncle refused to honor my wishes of cooking my chicken later at home and told the waiter. The waiter saw how hesitant I was and that he would make sure nothing bad happens to my chicken. When the plate came back I chose to trust him, tasted it and it was no longer gelatinous and tasted very good so I ate along with the rest of my family and enjoyed every bite. I decided to treat my family and cover the meal with my credit card. I used this credit card once that day at this restaurant. Before this restaurant, I never used this credit card in public. This was a Saturday. On Monday, I received 2 alerts for unauthorized charges to my credit card. My credit card details were being used for online amazon purchases. I called the fraud in immediately, but am very disappointed because given my spending habits with this particular credit card, this restaurant failed at keeping my credit card information safe.

Giving this place 3 stars because my party of 7 came here on a Saturday 2pm & were told we had to wait 45min for a table. That's fine but & the wait wasn't the problem. When we walked in to use the bathroom we counted 6 large tables that could easily accommodate us. Not sure what the problem was but they employees did not try to accommodate us in anyway. We had to wait outside & couldn't even get drinks at the bar. It was way too cold to wait outside with our 4 kids so we left. On a lighter note the food smelled good & the bathroom was clean.

Everything is perfect loved it the music the people the waiters awesome just a great place to chill

Couldn't have been more pleased with the food and the service. The atmosphere was vibing. Music a total plus. Though my wife wasn't happy with her piña colada. We will definitely recommend and will be back.

I always love coming to Havana. Back in the day they had $5 dollar monitors for happy hour. Due to the pandemic, I'm sure a lot has changed. I came here last night and had a good time. The staff was very attentive and made everything worth it. We ordered a lot of food !! I had mango ribs with rice, beans, and maduros. Pernil and coconut rice also ordered. We had some fries calamari as our appetizer. I'm not big on desserts, but at the end we ended up getting coconut covered brownie with a side of vanilla ice cream!

First and foremost let me start by saying that I am a regular at Havana as I live in the neighborhood and always come here with friends and family for birthdays, graduations, and etc. The past two visits unfortunately have been TERRIBLE and I will not be coming back even if someone would pay me to!!! The hostess in the front (I believe her name is Ceny) gave us a terrible attitude when we asked to use the restroom before being seated. Both times the manager Joe has insulted and yelled at myself and my party( his excuse was that we were taking too long) as we were waiting for the bill and for our to go order. Regardless of the excuse, you do not treat PAYING customers with disrespect and humiliate them!! The waitress was kind enough to offer me a free drink or dessert of my choice but i declined as all I wanted to do was pay and get the hell out there!! She also mentioned that this was not the first time Joe yells at customers. With so many great restaurants in the area you would think they would treat their customers, regulars or not, with respect!!

Stopped by last night for dinner. Slow night, rejected request for a more spacious table by hostess, who never returned to inform us, our waitress ended up checking in on her behalf. Ignoring customers, regardless of answer, is never good. Ordered the Quesadilla Cubana, received a COLD plate of food with long pieces of chopped onion and thin sliced tomatoes which was supposed to be pico de gallo, as it reads on the menu. MORE IMPORTANTLY, FIRST BITE CONTAINED A HAIR IN IT. Absolutely disgusting! Also, have the decency to at least serve food/plates warm if it's not made fresh when ordered, which is the case. Sloppy, cold, questionable dishes are the tell tale sign of distasteful food, shows lack of care and respect for diners. It's the least the restaurant can do for their customers.

Went here for drinks after work with a friend, staff were polite and friendly. The atmosphere was very cozy and friendly. I would definitely return again!!

My family and I just dined at Havana cafe over the weekend . We enjoyed the ambiance as it was very lively. The price I felt for a party of 8 was actually very reasonable and food was good . The only downside or negative aspect of our visit was our interaction with the hostess. We were excited to be there ( my parents and family are from out of state ) however the attitude from the hostess was no where near pleasant or welcoming. She seemed annoyed to say the least. After waiting for one hour she called my phone to ask if I still was interested in a table.. mind you we waited standing outside for an hour. I found that a bit odd . Aside from that the place was lovely .

Based on delivery service. Great portions and everything arrived as requested both the white and yellow rice w ga were great. Steak was nicely cooked and some of the other items, including chicken salad, was made nicely. would order again if I'm in the area

Now that I have officially experienced both Havana Cafe locations, it's is easily for me to say that the Tremont location is better. The staff is more attentive, and the food even tastes better. Though this location did not have an unlimited brunch, I did not miss it. The drinks prices were fairly inexpensive and again I was just so impressed with the quality of my food. It is far easier for me to go to the castle hill location, but I will be making my was to this one going forward

The Mojitos are great & they have good appetizers too! I enjoy the ambiance they also have a great bunch as well.

Took some of my coworkers for happy hour (Friday) Food was good, drinks were lovely. However our waitress could have been a lot better. I had to keep looking for her (for drinks, to put in orders, to get the check) and she never came and asked if we needed anything throughout the experience (also the restaurant was not busy at all at the time, often times I saw the waitress just chatting and laughing/goofing off with waitstaff when I was looking for her). I would have given 4 or even 5 stars if the service was better.
