"Before Subculture and all the coffee shops that followed in its wake, there was Havana. Open since 1993, Havana is a little bit south of downtown West Palm Beach on Dixie but worth the drive. Walk up to its 24-hour window for a cafe con leche or cortadito. Also sold at the window are Cuban pastries, sandwiches, and a small selection of fresh juices. While Havana Restaurant also offers an inside dining room, life happens at the walk-up window. It’s an experience not to be missed." - J. Miller

Great food and excellent coffee. The oxtail was incredibly tender and full of flavor, and the empanadas were also tasty. I especially loved the garlic in the sauces! There’s a decent-sized lot just south of the building, with overflow parking a block away.

This spot has one of the best Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had. The bread was perfectly crispy, and the flavors were just incredible—simple, fresh, and authentic. The portion was generous without being overwhelming, and every bite was satisfying. You can tell they take pride in what they make. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in the area. I’ll be coming back for sure!

Visit this spot maybe once a month. Went tonight around 1145pm. Ordered the Fried chicken Chuncks and Fried Snapper as well as the potato ball with 2 expresso shots, let's just say the best part of my experience as far as the food was the potato ball and expresso shots. The chicken was greasy and cooked in old grease, snapper was crispy however no seasoning whatsoever, black beans tasted straight from the can warmed up and dropped to the bowl, yellow rice miss me with that, mines tastes 100x better and I'm American. Paying $75 for a meal out and to get subpar food with higher expectations is such a disappointment as again I have experienced much better in the past from this establishment, something was definitely off tonight and the sad part is, when i ordered there was no one there, it didn't seem busy at all. We waited 20 minutes for the food and got home to a bunch of overpriced garbage food. Definitely reaching out to management tomorrow for a refund or a redo! We did eat some as we were hungry, praying our stomachs can tolerate whatever comes with it. Food was definitely not seasoned as it usually is, just don't understand what went wrong tonight in the kitchen. Young lady who took order was definitely on point, not her fault, just wish cook or whomever was in charge of kitchen tasted food before they serve it....I live 30min away so imagine my face once I scooped up this mess called food and was not taking back, not tonight anyways..... Will update once I speak with management in hopes they make good on this mess of food we were given.... 10/2/24 Still waiting for management to reach out to me regarding my experience and their food quality...

Dear Havana Restaurant I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share my recent experience at your restaurant. Unfortunately, the service was not up to expectations. We waited an hour to be seated, followed by an additional two hours for our food. Plus seven other tables after us got their food before us😞 I appreciate your attention to this matter and hope for improvements in the future. Thank you for your understanding. Best regards, Tim

Good food and excellent coffee. The oxtail was super tender and flavorful. Empanadas were good too. Loved all the garlic in the sauces! There’s a sizable lot just south of the building plus overflow parking one block over.

This restaurant has authentic cuisine. Their coffee is delicious and made perfectly. I enjoyed my lunch. Steak dish with fresh vegetables. A great place to eat like your in Havana.

Disappointing Cuban Sandwich & Flan, But Great Black Beans I was really disappointed with the Cuban sandwich—the meat was poor quality, lacked flavor, and was served cold. The flan was just as bad, with an off texture and little taste. The only highlight was the black beans, which were well-seasoned and delicious. If you eat here, I’d recommend those, but skip the sandwich and dessert. Hopefully, they improve the quality. People working there are very welcoming and friendly and hard working. Just wish the quality of food matched the experience and expectations

I waited outside the walk up window on a windy afternoon to get a guava and cheese, papa rellena and a media noche which is a sandwich. The guava and cheese had no cheese, I must have been given the wrong thing perhaps. The papa rellena was mushy and gummy. The sandwich was not good either. I had heard wonderful things about this place so I had high hopes but I was disappointed. Service was great, the ladies at the counter were so sweet.
