Haven 1890

This is the cutest most gorgeous local store! My mom and I had a blast in here for the first time ever, and will DEFINITELY be back 10 fold! They have every adorable thing you can imagine for gifts, or for yourself and I loved all the local Southside and Chicago merch. Lots of soaps, lotions, candles, clothes, gold jewelry, decor, art pieces, crafts, a whole kids area, Katie Loxton purses and jewels galore. We had the best time exploring in there, and the beautiful stained glass window was absolutely breathtaking. 10/10 recommend. The staff was so sweet and friendly too! Definitely stop by for your holiday gifts, bday gifts etc. they have something for everyone and any age, shop local and support an adorable small business!

I am not a big box store shopper, and I haven’t been to a mall in years. I have found my people. I having been shopping at Haven 1890 on 103rd in Chicago and just want to mention the exemplary service I received from the staff; particularly Abby who went out of her way to help me with an issue. Cute boutique, reasonable prices, lots of merchandise. I could be in there all day!!

Haven 1890 is the best! They have amazing gifts for every occasion! The staff is friendly and go above and beyond to help you find just what you need! They also have a great website so you can shop anytime anywhere! The owners Laura and Amy are so talented and this store is truly a gem!

Super cute shop in Beverly. I don't know how I even stumbled upon this on Instagram, but I'm pleased that I did. When visiting friends in Oak Lawn I was able to stop by and check it out. This place seemed like the largest of the businesses in Church 103--once a Lutheran church, now a variety of local businesses. The name is a nod to place--Haven for the sanctuary, and 1890 for the incorporation of Beverly Hills (Beverly's formal name). Their space is gorgeous, with the centerpiece being the glass window on the south wall. They have some lovely things here, and a great variety. I came in near St. Patrick's Day and since it's on the Southside you'd think a Leprechaun threw up in here! Lots of fun seasonal items, but also everyday art, Chicago-themed gear, stationery items, baby toys/clothes/things, household items, and a lot more. Service was friendly. I believe there's parking in the lot, but I also easily found parking on 103rd.

I love this place! This shop is so cute. For such a small place, they have a large selection of items, but it doesn't feel overcrowded! This store used to be a church and you can still see where the altar was and the beautiful stain glass window is still up. I love that this gives the shop a very unique layout and look to it!! Not to mention the stained glass is beautiful! They have a lot of candles, cooking supplies, dishes, skincare, and even a toy area. It truly is a little bit of everything! I love coming here for Chicago themed products as well as Irish heritage items! This place is clearly very proud of the city! This place also has a lip balm that I always get called Bitchstix. It is a bit overpriced because all proceeds go to supporting victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. So thankful that this store proudly supports this great cause!! This place is pricey, though. However, the products are of very good quality so I think there is good reason for the pricing! They have very nice, and awesome quality, lotions and other products! I also like that they change up their stock fairly often so I always find new things every time I go! The staff is always friendly and helpful! One of my favorite small businesses in the area!

It is great having this darling gift shop in our neighborhood. There is a great variety of gifts for the home and a cute children's section. I can always find something there when shopping for a gift.

Haven 1890 is my new favorite spot in the neighborhood anytime I need a gift or some new home decor! There are countless kids options, seasonal products, and unique items. I can tell the owners, Amy and Laura, put so much care into curating what they carry in their one of a kind store. I visited last week and from the moment I walked in I was treated with nothing but kindness. The space is absolutely stunning and the ladies helped me find the perfect gift for my Mom's 60th Birthday. Highly recommend stopping in Haven 1890! Wonderful experience from start to finish.

What a unique a lovely little surprise outside of downtown Chicago. There are so many interesting and fun surprises all over this store. First, the amazing aesthetic needs to be seen. Gorgeous light pours in through the stained glass window which is a center piece in itself. There are so many lovely finds through out all the tables and stands. And the staff that was there were helpful but not at all overbearing. You will not find these wares in other shops within 20 miles. There are many workshops offered as well! I tried the candle workshop and it was so fun and informative. The products are all high quality, and worth the price. I never leave empty handed nor disappointed. Must check out, it is a rare shop on the south side. 10/10 recommend

I must have come at a bad time. There were multiple employees working and one other customer. However, I was never greeted or acknowledged. I had tried to make eye contact with several of the employees to ask a question but was not able to get any assistance. Overall my business didn't seem needed or wanted, so I left.
