I’ve never experienced a hotel room with perfect temperature like this one. Roomy, super comfortable bed. The service was wonderful, taking any worries and work out of my hands. Location is so beautiful! I wish I a Had stayed longer to explore the surroundings. Definitely going back!

The Chateauhotel is truly an exceptional property. The grounds are full of unique sculptures, the rooms are spotless and magnificent, the dining is magnificent and best of all the staff are always courteous, helpful and professional. My wife and I have travelled in many countries and we can genuinely say that this hotel was one of our best. |Fred and Vicki

Lovely restaurant (worth an extra point in Gault & Millau in our opinion) and rooms with great, personal service. Besides being a great place to stay and dine; 1. Dog-friendly! 2. An amazing wine collection Well worth a visit to anyone who enjoys the good things in life.

What a beautiful place. We felt as if we were Lord and Lady of the Manor. Our room was large,clean with a beautiful bed. Modern bathroom, very clean. We had dinner here and it was superb. Five star at a reasonable price. Service could not be faulted. An elevator has been fitted, which we were grateful for. The breakfast was also great and served individually.do yourself a favour and stay here.

To start with the positives: Our room was spacious with a good sized bed and a lovely big bathroom. The staff were polite, helpful and made every effort to maintain a sense of normality despite the corona restrictions. The food was very good. For dinner one could choose between a 3 up to a 7 course meal either meat/fish or vegetarian. They were generous with a number of small tantalizing amuses (I could have eaten a kilo of the crab sesame sticks!). Breakfast was a special treat which was also kicked off with an amuse...lovely touch.||Points for consideration: 4 courses should have been enough for a hearty meal but fell well short. The gardens were not at their best in October though the sculptures were well worth viewing.

Great location and unique settings with ooievaar on top of the chateaus chimney, beautiful nature arouns. but the price is not worth it for such an old room so noisy from the wooden floor , thin ceilings you can hear people above walking and talking...no air conditioner and no breakfast included with the price, and the breakfast is not buffet, expensive also. Staffs are nice but not nice enough compared to the price we paid. But OK maybe the maintenance cost is high but still...felt ripped off by the dinner bills...😭

We stayed here for one night at our trip from Norway to Netherlands. After a long day at the autobahn it was a blessing to come to a place like this. We had ordered a suite with dinner - the suite so spacious and nice - the dinner an experience in Michelin-class. And next morning - after a night in a wonderful bed - a special breakfast with full service. And really really cheap experience too. And the place with storks at the pipe and a wonderful garden with lots of sculptures. Will love to be back and stay for longer.

Had an amazing stay and dinner at De Havixhorst. Pricy, but very worth it. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Dinner is Michelin-worthy with staff that is extraordinarily well trained and obviously very happy to be working there. Beautiful wine pairings came with every course.||||Rooms were huge, beds amazing, bathroom huge but maybe a bit outdated (but what to expect in an old chateau), breakfast beautifully served at the table. Couldn't complain about anything as this was simply an amazing stay. Well ran hotel and restaurant with an amazing team. Chapeau.
