This UK pub was unique in the sense, when you first enter the place, they have a spot or room reserved for a priest or father. Pretty neat right? Never seen that before.
I never had UK food before so I didn't have any expectation, nonetheless, it was a pleasant experience. I don't particularly have a taste for American food and it seemed that's what it was, it was very salty and fried food, of course being so people would drink more.
The small plates: Scotch egg, Mini sausage rolls (6), fish bites, British chips. All very salty, like not soy sauce salty/fermented, but salt. As if the batter was 40% 50% salt. The veggie pasty was ok, not great at all. Just ok, it reminded me of a chicken pot pie.
The Angus burger: It was huge and my favorite part about the dish was the buns, it was toasted and fluffy at the same time, so you get a fluffy CRUNCH when you bite into it. BUTT, the beef itself was super salty, maybe I have an issue with my tongue? Not sure if it's just me, but it was super salty.
TDLR: A lot of everything here is salty, I could tell the flavoring was there, but it was overwhelmed with salt. Not sure what happened with the salt shakers.
