100% recommend. I had a lovely night out for dinner at the Hawksmoor. From start to finish, the food and service was excellent. I had a seasonal kiwi cocktail, lobster and creamed spinach. They also serve the best sticky toffee pudding. The staff were excellent, especially Tika who attended on our table and had a very friendly and cheerful manner, ensuring that we were well taken care of. My husband and I truly enjoyed dinner at the Hawksmoor and look forward to returning again.

WOW! Absolutely loved the Hawksmoor. Everything about it was perfect. We came in a Saturday night without a reservation. Though extremely busy they were able to fit us in at the bar area. A Perfect spot!! The Ceasar salad was delightful as the dressing was homemade and very tasty. The scallops were DIVINE! We will be dreaming about them for awhile. The porterhouse steak was cooked to perfection. So glad we came here! Next time we will be sure to make a reservation.

Had such a great evening for a friends birthday yesterday. We had two waiters, Eleanor and Colin, who elevated the whole evening for us. Eleanor knew the menu back to front which made choosing steaks and sides super easy. Our glasses of wine were never empty. She was often checking in on us and filling our glasses and really lifted the whole dining experience. Colin was witty and friendly, and made us laugh while serving our food which again took customer service the that next level. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the oysters were fresh and tasty. Cocktails were great as was the wine. Overall the whole experience exceeded expectations and am eager to visit again.

Food was amazing but the waiter was somehow very aggressive? I guess he wanted us to have more food. He was very adamant on how we NEEDED at least 900grams of steak and we declined at least 3 times for him to get the idea that we wouldn’t be able to finish it. My husband had to raise his voice a little as he was somehow being a bit aggressive??? Passionate??? At the weight of our steak, and he stopped. Thank goodness as the other patrons were just wonderful and the food was amazing. Great place overall. Definitely get the scallops!

We had never experienced a Sunday roast in England before even though we’ve traveled there many times. I did a lot of research and this restaurant did not disappoint. The cocktails and sides were extra and certainly worth it, but if you just wanted to order the roast dinner itself. It’s reasonable and absolutely delicious.

Best beef Sunday dinner ever!! Amazing first time ever at Hawksmoor!! Been wanting to have a Sunday dinner at any of the venues for ages and finally got to do it yesterday and it did not disappoint. From walking through the huge doors and being greeted by the friendly front of house staff we were seated promptly and had water served and drinks orders taken within 5mins. The staff are incredible and extremely attentive without being over bearing. All had great conversation and humour, must have been served by at least 5 different members over the 2hrs. Super causal vibe but nothing casual about the food! The rump was to die for, cooked to perfection and tasted sensational. Roasted garlic, sweet carrots, greens and roast potatoes made it a hell of a plate with the giant Yorkshire. Gravy was as good as mums and again next level Finished with the sticky toffee pudding which was insane All in all a thoroughly amazing experience. The benchmark for how all eating out should be Bravo

We chose this restaurant for a birthday celebration and overall had a mixed experience. The atmosphere was fantastic, with a welcoming staff that gave us a good reception upon arrival. However, we noticed there was no background music, which was a bit disappointing as it could have enhanced the ambiance.The starters we ordered were amazing, setting a high expectation for the rest of the meal. For the main course, we all opted for the fillet steak. the steak itself was normal nothing’s special , I was underwhelmed by the presentation - it was served on a plain plate without any sides. Although extras were available for order, it didn't impress me as I was expecting a more complete dish. the dessert we had was really good and ended the meal on a high note. Despite the mixed experience with the food, the welcoming staff and great atmosphere make this restaurant worth a visit for a special occasion.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly attentive and made us feel very special. The food was out of this world. We had roasted scallops, lobster, monkfish, and T-bone steak. Each dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The scallops were perfectly cooked, the lobster was tender, the monkfish was amazing, and the T-bone steak was top-notch. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely, providing a great setting for a special occasion. The combination of excellent service, delicious food, and a nice ambiance made it a memorable evening. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience. It's a gem and I can't wait to go back.

So, in our journey to find the best sticky toffee pudding in London, we landed here. And let me tell you - the reviews that led us here weren't wrong! We literally came for just dessert (and a drink!), and we had an excellent experience. Staff was wonderful, and the place is a total vibe. Dark, moody, and wildly classy. Exactly what you'd expect from somewhere like this. The tiramisu was an add on, as our waitress let us know that it was a new dessert that had quickly risen in ranks among the staff. Truly one of the best I've ever had. The full fat old fashioned was a delightfully buttery twist that complimented the desserts well! The sticky toffee pudding?? My God. Incredible and will knock your socks off.

I didn't have reservations on Sunday but thankfully they accepted walk in tables. Average sunday roast plate -- got the meat pink and it was fine. The popover was a little over cooked. Must get the sticky toffee pudding. It is the best thing! I could eat a dozen.

I had this urge to try British steakhouse beef in London, but I actually went to the Hawksmoor NYC before I came here, so I had a bit of a headsup on what to expect. With half a dozen around the city I chose this because it happen to be nearest my hotel. I purposely tried not comparing it to American Steakhouses because while even the NYC location sources longhorn versus angus, there is centuries of beef tradition and sustainable farming been going on here that really makes the differences more pronounced. Usually I talk about decor and ambiance last since we can't eat those, but it's immediate here they are going for something different for your experience. Dark, cozy, like a cave, less like a cellar. Staff is excellent from their knowledge, attitude and banter. Somewhere between cordial and friendly. Uncommon for brits, sorry. It probably helped that I mentioned I'd been to their NY location already and that I kinda built my trip around places I'd tried in the states that originated here and I'd trying what I called my "roots tour". The concept is simple, raise great beef, serve it simply to showcase it and the skill it takes to amplify everything else. Stick Toffee pudding is thicker than most make it which leads to this great mouth feel. Unctuous without being umami. Where something rich helps cut something richer. The fillet carpacio was really good, the chestnuts were surprising in a god way. The freerange chicken reminded me of the older chickens we prefer in Asian cooking, a deeper, richer taste and I'd never had bernaise with chicken, it works well. They have way more sides than I was prepared for. I chose to go smaller on my steaks as I was coming back for the Sunday Roast. 6 different potatoes, 7 different greens. The chips are large and chunky and crispy. The mash is smooth without feeling overly buttered like the buttered new potatoes which I actually preferred, but that's my american pallette. The mac and cheese was the only disappointment, but the American South just does it better despite the great cheese europe has, it's not nuanced enough. Much bigger wine selection, much higher ranges. Similar corporate cocktails, but more global spirits brands. Steakhouse Martini was my favorite, the brightness came through. The fuller Fat OF wasn't as good because they didn't split the base and added tonka bean which gave it a cola taste. The ribeye again was great. the longhorn beef tastes old world not overly bred and hybridized. It's firm as a whole, but tender on the bite. The strip makes you feel more traditional with it's uniformity of shape. The deep roasted notes are evident and come through even more in the rump sunday roast. The rump was amazing, the spread was divine. The sides actually did feel like Thanksgiving and the ambiance felt like Holiday. I'm committed to try the rump for my holiday roasts over the way more expensive standing rib roast and while I doubt I'll be able to dry age one I can see why this primal works. Price is up there due to the conversion, but there are items that are far cheaper here and some that are far pricier. All in all it's a great steak, great experience and so far different from what we have in the states it's a wonder why the world is so obsessed with Wagyu and Brazilian steakhouses when the English and Italians do some super different and delicious things that turn the American Angus tongue on it's head.

Epic dinner at Hawksmoor Seven Dials for our first night in London. The steak we shared was perfectly charred on the outside and medium rare on the inside, the chips were crispy yet fluffly and light, and the sticky toffee pudding we had for dessert was simply heavenly. All in a lovely subterranean location with soft lighting and a warm welcoming atmosphere. Our server was a delight and helped recommend the wines which we also loved. When in London, make time for dinner at Hawksmoor. You won't regret it.

Came by just for the sticky toffee pudding. You can just eat at the bar without needing a reservation. The receptionists were very polite and helpful. The decor is very neat and swanky. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing and it really hit the sweet tooth spot!

Part of a chain, but solid steakhouse in Covent Garden/Seven Dials area. Dining room is downstairs - dark, atmospheric. Restaurant sells the larger cuts of steak by the gram, depending upon what is available. Started with a Caesar salad and crab on toast to share. We shared a large chateaubriand and some chips. The meat was tender, seasoned, and the chips were crisp. Only problem? It was not enough food for our group so we ordered more steak and tried the "fries". This cut of meat was not as expensive (or as good). The fries were thin sliced, as opposed to the thicker chips (which we preferred). Service was uneven. We had many servers helping us and trying to take plates, but hardly one of them checked in on what we needed. Good for pre-theater meal.

Service was amazing! It was very busy, but everything came out fairly quickly. Food was delicious, I went out with a friend and we shared the bone marrow (which was the best I've ever had), and a beetroot salad for starters. Then we split a rib eye steak which we ordered with the garlic lemon spinach, fries, and a peppercorn sauce for the steak. Don't live in London, or I would go back there again!

Listen. Imagine a bear's cave but that bear has a degree in interior design and doesn't shit on the floor where it lives. Welcome to the Hawksmoor Covent Gdn, Pronouns: He/Him A classy mancave with Parquet floors, exposed brick walls, minimal lighting, pleated glass and lots of action. It's in places like the Hawksmoor you wish they hadn't banned smoking in public because a thick layer of smoke kissing the ceiling would round things off rather nicely thank you very much. It pleases me to imagine a diner with a big fat cigar in one hand, a beef rib in the other. Lost in the moment she takes a big toke on the rib before biting into her Montechristo 2. Damn you nanny state for seeing to that scenario. Still, this cellar and former brewery retains the requisite magic to believe it could happen. The Hawksmoor concept remains achingly simple and unwavering. You come here for big steak. Porterhouse, ribeye, Tomahawk, Chateaubriand. You order chips to go with it and you order a choice of robust sides to go with the chips and you sit there squeezing in cow flesh fearlessly wherever there's still room in the duodenum. It was a hit when it opened in Shoreditch in 2006. It's still a hit now. 18 years sourcing and cooking basically the same thing every day has made them experts in their field. They understand the chasm between medium and medium rare. They know how to carve up a tomahawk so that all you have to do is hover your fork and decide which piece next. The effort of dropping the fork onto the meat and lifting it to the mouth requires the energy you steak provides and therein lies the secret of your perpetual motion. They leave just enough meat on the bone to tempt those who understand life is too short not to grab it like a Rottweiler would if it only had hands. A Porterhouse to share and a ribeye for birthday boy. Chunky chips all round. Sauces of peppercorn and Bernaise. Spinach - creamed for those who need lubrication to get green stuff down - or a simpler lemony version. Mac and cheese for plugging any holes. But before this, just to prime the gut like a Tesla does to its battery before a supercharge, Scallops in garlic sauce and bone marrow on toast. All come in prime condition. Garlic, butter and parsley make a garden snail seem tasty so what's not to like about bathing well burnished scallops in the same brew? Nothing as it turns out. Marrow comes in the shin bone sliced vertically down the middle. Two half pipes. It all slips down very easily. I'm already sweating umami. Steaks come without pretension. The Porterhouse has been dissected, the ribeye untouched. Accompanying sauces stick without cloying. Mac and cheese is unnecessary and they knew this when they devised the menu. For this reason they make it great, just for those brave enough to take it on. Nice touches like the crispy crumb demonstrate the care. When it's this simple it should be flawless and they oblige. The lemon in my spinach wasn't an apology and all the better for it. That's the key to the whole thing. No apologies. Chips are crispy, fluffy and chunky. Is there anything more you could ask from a chipped potato? The combination of these things is eminently satisfying to the extent that eating becomes painful. The machismo and bravado the Hawksmoor dining room elicits in women and men alike turns the meal into a war of attrition. Human v food. Human wins, just. Puddings are taken simply because we want to prolong the evening. The familiarity of sticky toffee pudding and strawberry cheesecake doesn't detract from the enjoyment of each. Again, all present and correct. And it gives us the chance to people watch. Groups, families, couples, tourists, born and bred Londoners. They've all come out out and it creates an atmosphere as big as the Tommahawk. I remember going to the original Hawksmoor in Commercial Rd soon after it opened in 2006. I was taken aback by the quality and simplicity of the fare but less enthralled by the venue. The Hawksmoor group neatly saw to that when they opened the Covent Garden branch. It's big, it's simple, it's powerful. A great night out for tourist and Londoner alike and after 18 years it's still a thrill to descend into this cave, even if the ascent two hours later is something of a heave.

This was a recommendation from a local that said this would be the best food in town, which set our expectations pretty high. There is a lot of food in the city, and for someone to proclaim it was the best held a lot of weight to us. Going in moderately hungry, we all decided on burgers, salads, and one with fries. The salad was pretty good in my opinion. The dressing was new to us, but flavorful and not overpowering and the lettuce was fresh. The burger though was pretty terrible unfortunately. The bun was really soggy, and the condiments on the burger were did not add at all. I am American though, so my burger expectations are pretty high, and I would not recommend this burger to anyone. Now, all of that being said, this is a steakhouse so if we were to try it again we would absolutely get the steak. The ambience was relaxing and the establishment felt clean. Our waitress was top tier and deserves to be recognized for her phenomenal service, attention to detail, and customer care efforts. She made sure she was aware of any allergies, gave advice on how to explore the city (and provided hand written note), and was very welcoming the entire visit. With the food not meeting our expectations, her service exceeded our expectations and made the experience far better and an easier pill to swallow when paying. I believe her name was Bo, and I would like to thank her for being a value add to this establishment-- kudos for being a highlight of our visit in London. The rating was held back because of the food 2/10, but the waitress was a 10/10 and ambiance 5/10.

Reliable British style steakhouse with a great bar and lively vibe. Servers were attentive. Neighborhood in Seven Dials is charming. We had the piri piri chicken and monkfish as mains and the beet salad, scallops and crab dish as appetizers. Nice range of flavors and good wine menu. Recommend for a group.

We visited Hawksmoor without a reservation on a Monday night and they sat us right away. I've heard about their Sunday Roast and was sad to not have had the chance to try it, but was excited to try their steak regardless. Also, I did want to try something different than Flatiron Steak and I'm so glad I branched out! FOOD: We ordered the Porterhouse steak, Mash & Gravy, and Garlic Mushrooms. The Porterhouse is great because you get a side of strip loin and one side of tenderloin, leaving you with a more fatty side and a more meaty side. Our cut of steak was cooked medium rare and was well-seasoned without being overbearing. You also absolutely cannot go wrong with the Mash & Gravy as it's a classic side to pair with any cut of steak. As someone who isn't a huge fan of mushrooms, I really loved the flavoring of this side. It has a pesto filling, which made the mushrooms really tasty. Lastly, we did also order the Béarnaise sauce to go with our steak. I'm not generally someone who likes sauce in my steak, but the Béarnaise at Hawksmoor was so creamy, which complimented the steak so well. SERVICE: Absolutely incredible service. Our waiter was extremely nice and was helpful when we asked how much food we should order, especially since we weren't too hungry. I'd return to Hawksmoor in a heartbeat during my next visit to London!

My husband and I were visiting London for our anniversary, and decided to stop into Hawksmoor for Sunday roast. It did not disappoint!! Price was fair for a huge plate of roast with some sides. Also- Hawksmoor has THE best sticky toffee of all the places we've tried, hands down!

I had the porterhouse, lobster, Mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts. Hospitality was great, but besides the lobster everything was just average.

I visited this spot after a long flight and it was nice to settle in for a comforting meal. I'd been to Hawksmoor on a few occasions previously and always enjoyed my experiences. After looking through the offerings, I decided to have the Hawksmoor Hamburger. The burger was good - nice flavor, well-cooked and seasoned fairly well. The cheese added a bit of richness, which I really liked. Something I really enjoyed were the beef dripping fries - they really had so much flavor. For dessert, I had the Sticky Toffee Sundae and that was a nice twist on the typical dessert: clotted cream ice cream, toffee cake and sticky toffee sauce. It was a great way to end the meal. Hawksmoor is a good standard spot to visit in London. There are many locations and each have their own unique vibe. They offer a Sunday Roast, which many people enjoy. I'd definitely go back for one of the steak options since I recall really enjoying those.

In London on holiday and tried this lovely restaurant. The mood is wonderful and somewhat cavern like. Our waiter, Marius was incredibly kind and helped us discover the menu. We shared a 900 g porterhouse steak, cooked to perfection with Mac n cheese ( must have ) in a cast iron cauldron all bubbly and toasty on top. Also delicious mashed potatoes and gravy butter than your mom can make. Also a classic but delicious Caesar salad. Cocktails were excellent as well. I would strongly suggest you make a stop here for a hearty, delicious meal. Ask for my boy, Marius as well. Service was impeccable. I'll be back.

Hands down the best customer service anywhere in London - much less Europe. Our waiter was friendly, attentive and helpful. He understood our situation and literally made the best out of it. Literally. I will make sure to visit Hawksmoor the next time I'm in London!!

My last lunch in London. I had to pick a good spot. I had seen a lot of stuff already. What was missing? I decided that a choice steakhouse was what was missing. So I looked at my data, and I saw this place, and the decision was easy. This place is classy, and I hear it's delicious. So I made my reservations, and came here to eat at halftime of my exploration of the British Museum. Classy classy. We were lead down into a wine cellar-esque dining room that had glass windows looking into the kitchen and big, giant pillars studding the room occasionally, really making you feel the weight in the air of the massive city above your head. Our super nice server came by, got our drink orders, and then we studied the food. We split an app, the Bone marrow & onions (sourdough toast). Probably the second best bone marrow dish I've ever had. A deep marrow flavor that is the epitome of unctuousness. Slathered with grilled onions to make the stuff infinitely more spreadable. And again, I've noticed that in this country, with the meals, they give you an appropriate amount of bread, unlike in the ol' US of A. So good. So the main meal, we split a Porterhouse. This was like a real steakhouse, you ordered your steaks by weight, and you were given the price per pound, er, or the price per kilogram here. So I had to do some math to see how hungry I was. I gotta say, this was the most beautiful porterhouse I have ever eaten. The filet side was So big, the sear on the meat was impeccable, she huge flakes of sea salt adorning the whole thing was beautiful, and it was cut off the bone all professional-like, revealing the perfect medium rare meat within. A lot of TLC went into this steak, and it showed. So tender and flavorful. Perfection. We got a side for our steak, and I believe it was a special, because I can't see it on their online menu right now. The brie mashed potatoes. These were the most decadent mashed potatoes I have ever had. Supremely smooth mash, with the creamy, melted brie perfused throughout. To drive the message home, they have the rind on top, sinking into the potato abyss, like a delicious iceberg. My God. If all this stuff hasn't sounded amazing enough, I finished the meal with the best part of the meal, the Sticky toffee pudding (clotted cream). I've heard of English puddings my whole life, without the chance to try any, of course. But now, my chance presented. The cakey pudding was entirely, 100% saturated with the toffee-flavored syrup. Very sweet and sugary. And the clotted cream on top added a nice, creamy fatness to it, providing that relief from the pure sugar. I'm going to stop now, because I could talk about this pudding literally all day. Overall, this was a banger. All my meals were bangers, but this place was particularly banging. It really stuck out in my meals memory. Amazing marrow, steak, mash, and pudding. Amazing. Come here.

PROS: Delicious expensive food, friendly waiter CONS: Super noisy. Bizarre Lighting/Annoying Hostess: We were seated for dinner at a high Bar table which had extremely bright LED lamps that were piercing to the eye. We placed a paper on the top to try and shield us from the light. The officious hostess then marched over and would not allow us to turn them down or cover them up citing an unspecified "fire hazard". (Someone needs to inform her about LED bulbs... They don't get hot or catch on fire!) We were then moved to a noisy spot at the bar where chatty servers retrieved drinks and bartenders shook and banged their shakers. Ugh. I was ready to leave without eating but our waiter, Allessandro, was very nice and encouraging. He got us a better, properly lit low table in the bar area and made a number of solid food recommendations. Would I go back? probably not.

Maybe I went on an off night but this was not a particularly good experience. Decent first impression on entrance. Has an old steakhouse vibe combined with what I might expect from being in central London. Very lively and busy but that was appealing to us. Food was pretty mediocre. The appetizer was a bread, beef and onion and potted bacon thing? I forget the order of ingredients but it was just really really flat and fatty tastes all around - I've never wanted for butter more in my life in contrast to putting this stuff on the bread. However the big offender was the meat. Steakhouses have two key requirements: 1) serve high quality beef, 2) get the requested temperature right. They accomplished neither of these goals for my steak which was not flavorful at all and was well done on the sides rather than the requested medium rare (which only emerged in the center). I would have sent it back but at that point we were disappointed enough to want to just bail. Having just relocated from Seattle I would say that every single steak house of note from the Emerald City is superior to this. Someone should fly the staff to John Howie in Bellevue and have them do a deep dive for a week in what great steak tastes like.

Hawksmoor Seven Dials is a steakhouse in Covent Garden in London. It is in an attractive basement space and has a pub-like decor. Parking nearby would not be easy, but it is a short walk from many public transport options. The menu selection is large and had a wide range of appealing dishes. In fact, I was sad that I had also had a large lunch elsewhere and so I did not have space to try any of the several appetizers that I was interested in. I was sad that they didn't have a mixed grill (which I had been hoping for). Food quality was great. Each of us was very satisfied with our choices. I had the ribeye which was well-cooked and tasty. Service was great. Very prompt food delivery and great ongoing service as we sat and talked for hours on end catching up after a long time since we had seen each other. Overall, a great steakhouse experience. Recommended.

Had a nice welcome and from there every thing was wonderful. Great selection of beers, and a crowd that will help you choose should you ask. Very good, filling dishes. Friendly service, even when slammed busy. Enjoy!

This is the second time I've been to London this year and the first time I went to another Hawksmoor location, but was really excited to see that there was a location near my hotel within walking distance. What made me choose Hawksmoor over everything else was their desserts. The best dessert on the menu is the sticky toffee pudding and my recommendation is to ask for extra toffee sauce on the side!

Just best steak in town! Service and consistency is always there, not matter what time or what occasion this place delivers always, good knowledge of the product and quality.

Amazing steaks and great service! We got a porterhouse to share and the meat was cooked exceptionally well. The fat was rendered off and the flavor was just amazing on the steaks. The creamed spinach was also delicious and a great side to accompany the meal. We came here for my birthday meal and they provided a sticky toffee pudding on the house! Would definitely want to come again next year to celebrate a birthday and for some really good steak!

This is one of the best steak places in London! I've been there several times over the past few years and the quality of food and drinks just got better! Although the staff changed regularly, they were always friendly and helpful with the choices you needed to make. In this place, food, drinks, service, and ambiance are just perfect. Highly recommended.

Not the same as before, the bone marrow hardly had any bone marrow in it and was full of oil as well. My cocktail hardly had any alcohol in it. Not impressed with the way this place is going backwards. Was great the first time I went, The food was just very boring this time. I won't be back in a hurry, if ever.

Wow sticky toffee pudding! Why did we not order 2???!! Couldnt find anything like this anywhere. We came for the sunday roast brunch. Everything was delish but I didnt really like any of the sides it came with. The bread tasted like nothing and veggies werent anything special. Tried to dip it in the gravy but didnt do much. So I just ate the roast which was tasty. We had 3 of the roasts, 2 desserts and 2 bottles of wine for about 210gbp. Best part is our server taking a photo of us without complaint. That's a little hard to find in the states.

The food they served here is homely and I don't mind coming here to eat every day. Their service is top notch and the ambiance even makes the food to taste better.

Pre-COVID review: This place has a nice vibe, like it's a chill place to go after work and grab a drink. Both of us ordered the 400g boneless sirloin (£29.50). The meat doesn't come with any sauce, so we got one with peppercorn sauce (£3) and another with béarnaise (£3). The sauces come on the side. Out of the two sauces, peppercorn is better than the béarnaise. Decent meat but not the same as home. We also added two sides: the dripping fries (£4.50) and creamed spinach (£5.50). Both were delicious. I can't believe everything here comes a la carte, like the sauce. Slight ouch on our wallets. As for drinks, BF tried their Kernel London Porter (£5.25) and a 50 ml glass of somerset 3 yr (£6.25), while I drank the grapefruit and bergamot iced tea (£4). I found the iced tea okay, but man, it was £4 without any refills. We still had some room for dessert, so we picked the sticky toffee sundae (£6.75). Tasty and lighter than sticky toffee pudding.

Amazing food and great service! Lovely ambiance and perfect for date night. It can get very loud.

I just made a yelp account just to review this place. It was that bad. So, first and foremost, the service at this place is immaculate. We asked for recommendations for bus routes to see the city and our waiter took the time to write an entire route listing each time and place that even finishes off where you started. Overall, very nice people, the aesthetic was great, and the music was at a moderate volume too. However, the food is what matters the most. Let me tell you, this was one of the worst meals of my life. I literallly can't remember a meal more utterly disgusting than whatever I just ate. After coming to eat here, I will never try another burger anywhere in Britain again, nor trust a Brit for food recommendations. I payed 20 dollars for a burger with soggy buns, firm and slimy meat, expired tomatoes. It has been 45 minutes and I still feel like I am on the verge of throwing up. If you have never been to America, don't EVER and I mean EVER think this is what it tastes like. An American Jack-in-a-box, McDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King, Five Guys, In-n-out on a bad day are all half as expensive, and EONS ahead of whatever this utter garbage is. I also got a salad with my burger and it just consisted of lettuce and sauce. Still ended up being better than the burger. 1 star for food, 5 stars for service.

Went for a celebration and it was a great time for all. One of our steaks was over cooked and they took it off the bill which was appreciated. The server was attentive but it is very noisy in there so be prepared.

This meal was amazing! Recommend getting larger steaks and sharing. The mashed potatoes were great.

Absolutely one of our favorite dinners during our trip to London! Everything was absolutely exceptional and the vibes inside were perfect! The crust on the steak was perfect, and done exactly how we requested it! You don't even need a knife to cut the steaks they were that tender! The sides accompanied the steaks well, everything was absolutely excellent - from the creamed spinach, to the garlic mushrooms! Service was amazing too, be sure to come early if you want the Porterhouse, as right when we sat down at 8pm, we watched them cross it off the menu.

Terrible steak. Thin. Dipped in salt. Like the shaker broke on them. We were they when they opened. Clearly our food should had been great. If I ever went back. I won't. I would only order the mash and gravy. This was worse than ponderosa. That's not a compliment.

I'm staying in an Air B&B and they recommended Hawksmoor so we gave it a go. What a wonderful experience and meal. Our server was very helpful and helped us design a very delicious dinner. Two of us had the filet and reported them to be first rate. My wife and I shared a porterhouse and enjoyed it immensely. I'm a sucker for a good Caesar salad complete with anchovies and this was very good. I finished off the meal with what our waiter called the best sweet and sticky pudding in all of England. He did not over sell it. The one complaint I had on the evening was the light was so low I needed the light on my phone to read the menu. If I'm ever back in London I would love to give it another go!

Very nice choice of beer and classic british snacks. Good atmosphere of typical pub. But service was a bit to slow.

This could have been better. Sides were small expensive and horrible potato's old spinich frozen service a joke, salad inedible atmosphere very noisy. And the steak so so not worth the money. So it was no Peter Luger

Came in especially for the Sunday Roast. Not sure what all the fuss is about??? The service was faultless. The food left a lot to be desired. The rump roast was tough and stringy. I could not chew or cut through most of it. The flavour was good but the effort of trying to cut it was ridiculous. Eventually after being tired of trying, I asked the waitress if that is what it was supposed to be like, she looked at my meat and said I got a bad piece, since its rump some parts have a lot of sinew etc. They brought me another piece. It was better but not the melt in mouth I was expecting after a long roast. The gravy was excellent and the accompaniments were delicious, you can tell a lot of effort has gone into making the veg delicious. Too bad the meat did not come up to same standard. Hubby had fillet steak with salad. He enjoyed his steak and felt salad was overdressed . Doubt we'll be back

If you love steak, you have found your place! I started with a classic Old Fashioned cocktail, which was delicious and perfectly done. Our waiter was very helpful in deciding what to order. We got the T-bone steak (some of the best steak I have ever had in my life), mashed potatoes (yes, you need it - it's a classic side dish), Mac and cheese (okay, I'd pass next time), creamed spinach (so good), and bone marrow (really fatty - really great). This was definitely an amazing meal and I cannot wait to go back one day!
