The Best Restaurants Near Your Ballot Drop Box - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Haymaker is a solid choice if you voted with your significant other and you both aren’t sure what you want for dinner. Their menu features fresh pasta, steak frites with really good red wine sauce, and a Nashville-style hot chicken sandwich that is one of our new favorites." - aimee rizzo

I had a wonderful experience at Haymaker. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, but what really made my visit stand out was the service. Charisma, my server, was outstanding — attentive, friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed without ever feeling rushed. She went above and beyond to make my time here enjoyable. A big shout out to Charisma for making my visit such a positive one. I will definitely be back.

Google
Pleasant atmosphere, good service and acceptable food. My beef patty was quite greasy and the onions were too slimy, not to my taste, but might be fine for another customer. The kabob was okay, well charred vegetables and chicken. Unfortunately they couldn't do a hot latte, only iced.

Google
Nice modern dining room. They do need to figure out a way to control the relentless afternoon/evening sun (the management contacted me indicating this issue has been resolved since my visit). The service is pretty decent. We ordered biscuit, gravy and eggs 4/5 and country fried steaks 4.5/5. Good beer, wine, and cocktail options.

We had a late breakfast for three of us. Everything was great and the service was fast. Many of the items are variations on popular dishes. For example, I had a combination huevos ranchero / eggs benedict. We also had a flight of mimosas. Peach, prickly pear, peach and mango. All different t and all good.

Google
Awesome food and service Best baked beans every Ribs were tender and falling off the bone Brisket was freaking awesome.

Google
Food was good. Servers were really friendly. We took our dog and they had no issues with that and even brought out a small dog bowl with water.

Went for brunch on a Sunday and got seated pretty quickly even tho we had a party of 8. Strawberry cheesecake pancakes were so good! & everyone was super friendly

Google
Enjoyed eating at the new Haymaker in Peoria since they moved. Great atmosphere. Grilled Monterey Chicken Sandwich was recommended by the server. She was right. One of the best-grilled chicken sandwiches I've had in a long time. GREAT AMERICAN DECOR. GREAT AMERICAN SMALL BISINESS.

Yelp
Visited the new Haymakers location at four corners in Peoria on a Monday evening. First impression is they did a great remodel of the inside (very inviting). We decided to share and tried the Cali Chicken salad, cornbread, fried zucchini and bacon wrapped jalapeños. Zucchini came out first and was excellent. Highly recommend. Cornbread was out next with honey butter. The cornbread was good but the honey butter was a hard pass. The bacon wrapped jalapeños were great and the raspberry sauce on the side pared nicely. Salad was also good size and very tasty. Julius did a very good job as our server for the visit. Overall this location performance is a big upgrade over the old place and we will be back again. Yelp
1. First Impressions: The restaurant has a nice shaded patio with misters for outdoor seating. Inside is clean, and cool, with a warm elegance that exudes pride in the statement, God Bless America 2. Service: Our server was incredibly attentive without being overbearing. She gave great menu recommendations. 3. Food/Product/Experience: The food here is fire! We came for the bloody mary and we stayed for the Brisket Skillet! The brisket was fire and rivals the quality of Little Miss BBQ! The kids meal pancakes came with 3 massive pancakes! 4. Pricing: The pricing is fair and the portions are large! Bonus tip, make sure to sign up for the reward app! We received a $10 reward for signing up.

Yelp
Love this place. They are always so welcoming and friendly. Great breakfast too! Always a great experience

Yelp
Came here for breakfast since kept seeing it pop up in Yelp. I was excited due to all of the reviews raving about this place! The interior was clean, but pretty basic. The host was quick, but lacked emotion. Like the two things I just mentioned, the food followed the pattern; nothing special. The biscuit was like a dry ball of clay. Eggs were overcooked. Everything just seemed mediocre. It's super out of the way, so I wouldn't go back or recommend to anyone.

Yelp
My friend and I decided to grab brunch at a new place so decided to try the Haymaker. The dining room was cute, old fashioned decor. Really homey like at a parent's house. We sat at a booth and it was cozy. The waiter took our order and pretty much left us alone for the most part. I ordered the haymaker famous Benedict which had eggs, chicken fried chicken, mash, spinach, and some sauce. It was a weird combo. The sauce on top didn't have much flavor. The meal itself was heavy. I would recommend it for $18! My friend had the basic breakfast. Her biscuit and gravy were good though. Rest needed salt. Not sure if I would come back. Maybe t other locations.

Yelp
First time here and I am already loving this choice for my birthday breakfast. Let's see how they deliver. Our party of 3 were seated right away. Kristin, our server is on point and about business. She took our drink orders and gave us time to decide on our meals. We all chose the California Omelette. One subbed tomatoes for spinach. Two chose hash browns and one country potatoes. I was very pleased with my food. The seasoning was good. The toast was just right. The hash browns were overflowing so didn't finish them. The orange juice was very good according to my daughter. The restroom was clean and neat! Five stars!! This location is locked in for a return visit. The decor is light and airy. I appreciate the brightness. There's a nice covered outdoor area.

Yelp
First time here since they moved. Place look really good. Same great food. Blood Mary is a must. Staff is very friendly and have great recommendations. Will continue to visit every time we are in town.
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
Marisol was so pleasant and accommodating. Love their new location, bright and airy, clean and organized. The hostesses acted like she didn't want to be there, and some of the Staff didn't seem happy, which surprised me because at the concepts other location the CS and Staff are always friendly, maybe it was the weather? Food was good, we will go back.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped by on 8/30/25 for breakfast. She had the Arizona omelette and said it was good. I had the All American Breakfast. I ordered my eggs over easy but they were closer to sunny side up. My toast was very hard. The hash browns were the only good thing on my plate. This day and age where restaurants are expensive, I expect premium food at the premium cost. I'll stick with First Watch or Over Easy.
google avatar

Yelp
It's located behind Black Rock Coffee and Aldi plaza area since my map took me all over the place. The service was friendly. The portions were large and the prices fair. The food was good. I'm glad we tried it out!

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick lunch and grabbed a burger and man it was good. Cooked perfectly and juicy. Fries are really good and great service.

Yelp
We are at Haymaker in Peoria, Az for breakfast. . My wife had the ham and cheese omelette and I hand the Cowboy platter. The service was amazing. David was our server. Our coffee and water never went empty and the food came hot and quick. The ambiance is a welcoming family atmosphere and had a bar. You can get whatever you want to drink including a Bloody Mary or a flight of beer. The owners are from San Diego and are friendly and welcoming. They did relocate from across the street and are going to open the old location in the near future as a brew pub. When in the area you need to go here.

Yelp
I'm staying up in the area so checked it out. Love the decor. Open and lots of wood. We ordered the fried zucchini and they were so good. I had the meat loaf. It was very yummy. Kind of mushy. Potatoes are great a little dry. My friend had the brisket and pork and Mac and cheese and he ate it all. Plus corn bread. I think that says it all. It was a HUGE portion. The service was great. My drink never got empty. Dirty plates were cleared but yet not oppressive in hanging about. I actually can't wait to go again. I'm only here for a week.

Yelp
Wow totally amazed at the flavors of our breakfast, everything pretty much freshly made. The quality of the food is astronomical super delicious. The service by the very beautiful A. Charisma was top notch service. The manager walking around making sure everyone is well taken care of was very much appreciated. I suggest everyone makes this a stop on your way by well worth the drive. Thank you Ladies

Yelp
We were searching for a great place to have Brunch and stumbled across this place in which I'm glad that we did! There's televisions everywhere and it's very spacious with plenty of seating throughout. Upon entrance, at first it gave out odd vibes to me, which is why you never judge a book by it's cover. We were seated by a waitress who was fantastic!!! She was friendly and Welcoming! Our table waitress, Zanovia(spelling) was fantastic!!! The flight Mimosas were awesome and I loved that they provided choices of juices to pick. When our food arrived, my Cousin( who now has a food dance after my ranting that she needed one) and I, did our food dances. This is the Perfect place to eat regardless, if you're enjoying a football game, or a boys- girls night out. Whenever my Cousin and I meet up for breakfast I'm going to suggest returning here as this is now my favorite place to eat on the West side. I had the stuffed French toast with a side of bacon, which was AMAZING!!! My Cousin enjoyed her meal, as well as, her cocktail. There's plenty of free parking onsite. This is an awesome location with different establishments surrounding.

Yelp
Service - Lilly was Awesome!! If you can sit in her section and her wait on you , guaranteed you'll have a great experience. She has a beautiful personality along with a smile. Great customer service. It was a quiet evening, not many customers inside but it has a very laid back vibe. Our party ordered the French dip, buffalo chicken sandwich and a mixed salad with chicken. All the food was tasty but the chicken sandwich completely fell apart so it became an open face sandwich We enjoy visiting Haymakwrs when we are in town. .

Yelp
The new place is nice. Much brighter than their old spot. I do wish they had found a way to insulate to control some of the noise. The service is always decent. The food is alright. I really don't have any favorite meals there. It's a good option for when you don't want Chilis or Lakeside but also don't want to drive further than 4 corners.
google avatar

Lauren D.

Yelp
Haymaker is on of my fav places! The French dip and fried pickles are a must each time. We always enjoy the service and appreciate that we can show up 30-45 before closing we get seated with no problem when we're in a rush to get in there (we don't do it often but when we do it's on accident lol) I do wish they were open later on the weekdays but the staff need to get home to their families too so we understand
google avatar

Debbie A.

Yelp
I went in for lunch was told they are busy and can't just seat one person at a table. My money is as good as anyone else's and it shouldn't matter if it's seating for one or four completely unprofessional
google avatar

Jacquelyn H.

Yelp
I've been coming here the past few years. I usually order to go so that I can have my meal with my dog Ranger. This is his favorite place to get breakfast from and yesterday morning I ordered his last meal and I left a little note thanking them for always making him delicious food and this was the response. A little heart-shaped pancake and a small bowl of whipped cream with a sweet message. Not only has the food here always been amazing, the service is usually good and if they are having an off night then they make sure their customers are taken care of. Thank you. Truly.
google avatar

Yelp
This place used to be great, but unfortunately, the food quality has gone downhill. I ordered a burger, which they said would be cooked medium, but it came out very well done--dry and looked like a hockey puck. While our server was friendly and handled it well, it's disappointing to pay $18 for what was clearly a frozen, overcooked patty. Definitely not the experience it used to be.
google avatar

Yelp
Best breakfast in Peoria for sure!! Eggs Benedict Florentine was flawless. We are going back tomorrow.

Kay Rosness

Yelp
Excellent breakfast, and reasonably priced - with outstanding service. There were flexible substitutions (we split) and accommodation of our shared meal.

Yelp
Came into Haymaker today for a much needed protein bomb of a breakfast after a good workout. This was my first time and most likely last night eating here, but I want to be clear... this was not the host or waitress's fault I'm leaving a 1 star. I found this place just doing a map search for brunch close to my gym and everything on the website and pictures look exactly what I was in need of. I get there and it's packed about a 25 minute wait, which is no problem all because the best things are worth waiting for. I get seated and looking at the menu for something to go with my pure carnivore diet and I see the Cowboy Platter "3 eggs and a full order of meat" for like 17.25 or something like that. so when I see that price next to "full order" I'm thinking dang they know how to do it! I'm leaving here with my pants button popped and the meat sweats! After about 15 minutes my food comes and this "platter" was no platter but something you put a stick of butter on when company comes over. my "full order of meat" was two air hockey pucks of disappointment. yes 3 eggs, two sausage coasters and a cup of fruit for the grand total of $23 and that's not including the tip. To call this a cowboy platter is definitely haymaker to the gut. there was more meat eaten by cowboys in brokeback mountain. The only thing that could have redeemed this meal would be if I found a $10 bill hiding under my 3 eggs. The server she was great, friendly, checked on me ever few minutes offered me a refill after I was getting ready to leave. But the misleading menu with that price take can't do it. I can goto the cafe in rock springs and get 3 eggs and 8oz medium rare sirloin for $15.

Yelp
This is a typical looking BBQ joint with a warm ambiance of dark wood and cute decor. Our server, a young man, was very attentive and friendly. Our friend ordered the burger and fries which she enjoyed. I love brisket and pretty much order brisket at any BBQ restaurant we dine at when traveling. Unfortunately it was 90 % fat. I was able to get two bites and had to discard the rest. So, so disappointing and it was really inexcusable. The Mac & cheese was a hard clump and sadly couldn't eat it either. The beans were delicious. My husband ordered the shredded pork which he said was tender but no flavor and really needed to be salted. He also enjoyed the beans but his side of cole slaw was tasteless. Drinks were good and service was great. Looking at the reviews I felt like we must have ate at a completely different restaurant. Perhaps it was just an off night.

Yelp
Incredible experience from beginning to end! All staff were warm and welcoming and the food was delicious. Our server Charisma was attentive and professional! Food was cooked to perfection and enjoyed by even the most picky 2yr old. This is our new family Sunday brunch spot!
google avatar

Megan O.

Yelp
We love this place! The breakfast was delicious!! We had the California omelet, stuffed French toast, pancakes and fruity pebbles French toast that they made gluten free for us...super yummy. The staff was very kind and attentive. Price point is right where it should be, worth every penny. We will for sure be back!

Yelp
Nice place. Plain, simple atmosphere, good for the entire family. Not as lively as other choices you may have, but good food and good service. Sat at the bar and had dinner. Bartender was prompt and attentive. The meatloaf dinner with smashed potatoes was good and the salad fresh. Would be a place we'd return to.
google avatar

Yelp
I have visited this location twice and was very impressed. The biscuits and gravy were done perfectly and my scrambled eggs were done great. My next visit was a chicken sandwich and salad. Right on also to the wonderful service.

Sandra T.

Yelp
Hi my name is Sandy . Me and 5 other ladies went to breakfast this morning. The atmosphere was very friendly there . The service was excellent. The food was fabulous. The service was excellent. Are server was Greg . He was completely on top of everything. We meet once a month on Thursday. You will be on are list of restaurants to go to.
google avatar

Danny L.

Yelp
Been here twice. I really enjoy the atmosphere and everyone was very kind. However I think the food is just okay. Ordered the Haymaker Benedict this time and the chicken fried steak last time. Neither quite did it for me but I seem to be in the minority here. Service was quick and efficient though!

Yelp
Thank you to the wonderful staff at the Haymaker Restaurant for hosting a fundraiser tonight for (citizens For Smart Growth) Peoria AZ. Thank you to Diana the general manager for agreeing to host our group, and to Jessica, the manager on duty tonight, and Dayton, our server for taking such great care of us!!! You guys were all rock stars and our group is very grateful!!!! We had a wonderful wonderful time tonight and it was a great opportunity for all of us to meet face-to-face instead of communicating on Facebook. We live in an amazing community and tonight it was clearly evident.. Thank you again Haymaker staff for your attentive and cheerful service!!!!!

Yelp
I wanted to like this place., but I couldn't. The waitstaff was very nice & kind, but the food was meh. You can tell that the place is NOT managed by a foodie. It's clean & friendly. The salmon was overcooked dry. The onion rings were ok but overbreaded. The wedge salad wasn't super crispy fresh like it should be. The ambience is nice, casual, & family friendly- so it has potential. Fix the food quality (decrease menu options if you have to).
google avatar

Sara V.

Yelp
I like Haymaker in general. In the new location the main dinning room is too crowded. I'm sure in the spring and fall the outdoor patio's ( front and back ), will be full. Now it's too cold for us Arizona people. Then in the summer it will be too hot. I am aware they have heaters and a mist system. The food is always good. Very good hamburgers. My husband likes the meatloaf. We had the nicest waiter's both times we have been to the new place.
google avatar

karen s.

Yelp
The new location is beautiful. The staff is great and the food is phenomenal. We've been here for breakfast lunch and dinner and we continue to go back. They're one of the best breakfast spots around.!! The owner stood a great job. The one in Goodyear is beautiful. The one on Thunderbird is great. Obviously, we like their food. The only thing I ever had I didn't like was the jalapeño poppers. They were just not cooked enough for me.
google avatar

Tiffany P.

Yelp
Ordered California omelette. Overcooked and dried. Terrible. I'm not impressed at all with their food, had eaten at another location before same experience. Pricey and small portion. They even forgot to bring out a side that came with the omelette.

Carrie C.

Yelp
Great food. Mediocre service. While I can understand why they have a no outside food or beverage policy, I think the way they communicate it is passive aggressive and turns away more people than they expect. What about people with food allergies or toddlers who still want to eat out? If it is something on their menu, I totally get it but there is no harm in bringing my own water or a drink I had while running errands as it's not taking away their business.
google avatar

Tammy B.

Yelp
Service is always great and the food is always yummy. Last visit was chicken fried steak. YUMMY Also had enough to bring home for a snack later.
google avatar

Sindy E.

Yelp
The near parking lot sometimes is limited but more across the street. Customer service is ok, food is really good the ever time we are here. Hostess could be a little better. Plenty of tables for inside, no outside seating. The chicken and waffles are really good.
google avatar

J M E.

Yelp
We went for brunch and the food was just ok. Eggs were overcooked and nothing was hot. This could be overlooked if it was just a bad day. The noise level made it impossible to converse. For this reason we will not return.

Jo H.

Yelp
Service was great! Food not so much. We were visiting friends in Phoenix and thought we'd been here before, but definitely not the same place because food was blah!

Selina G.

Yelp
Food was delicious only a 45 minutes wait on mother day day. Thank you Jen for working on your Mother's Day. Best service and food was nice and hot upon arrival and we were pampered today! Great place to eat

Mor4me R.

Yelp
Good breakfast! But no specialty coffee drinks! Great service! Clean atmosphere too! Would go back.
google avatar

Gwen K.

Yelp
First time eating here while on vacation. Had rave reviews from other people, however, there were dirty tables everywhere. Not a good first impression and unfortunately the food was just ok. I doubt we will go back.

John E.

Yelp
Not good! Orded the French Dip, bad choise the beef was dryed out and tuff as shoe leather, Au Jus was cooled the French Frys were over cooked, the horserradish was not it was sour cream. Last the employees not frendly. I don't recomend this place!!

Patricia F.

Yelp
Food was good but service was slow and it's just way too noisy in there. Especially in the small room.
google avatar

Danielle R.

Yelp
We came here for lunch after a group hangout. The wait was about 35 min when we got there and we chose to wait. We got the French dip, fries, and a side of onion rings. The French dip has a thick sliced beef vs thinly sliced as a reference point. It also had some gristle on it (as an fyi). The sandwich was good although the bread fell apart semi easily. The onions and mushrooms were a nice touch. I enjoyed that part. The au jus was bland but personally, I like it that way vs too salty. The fries were a smaller portion than I'd like (I'm a fry a Holic) and they were more on the shoestring side vs a thicker cut. The onion rings were yummy. It was like a panko type fry. And the bbq ranch was a nice touch. I'll definitely come back to try something different next time.

Yelp
Decided to come here after so many people had recommended it & it did not disappoint! The dining area is rather small but it feels very cozy, definitely like you're eating in your grandparents house! It's also very patriotic and pays homage to our military which is very unique now-a-days. The service was great & the food really spoke for itself! I got the biscuits and gravy & MAN! I've never seen bigger biscuits in my life! Definitely coming back!
