Haymaker North Peoria

First visit with some local friends. David, our server (and he bartends) was excellent. Asked for advice on the menu for a lunchtime visit. Really appreciated his candor and recommendations. Did you know the breakfast menu is just not for breakfast time!?! Great for one in our party. My buddy had the French dip sammy with sweet potato fries. And the beer on tap was a perfect match. Not a crumb left on his "tray." His wife devoured the center area of her pancakes. Oh, and David said the pancakes were big....AND, they were huge! She's on a special diet, and the breakfast option was perfect...even at about 2 in the afternoon. No judging! My wife had the Arizona burger & fries. I did the build your own burger option. The burgers were excellent...and big and thick. The regular fries with the burgers were a bit disappointing. Ok, just not up to par. Please do something with the fries...seasoning, make 'em crispy on the outside & fleshy on the inside, do something that makes them go with that delicious burger. Maybe we should have substituted for sweet tater fries, or went the onion ring route. Everything was excellent but the fries. Thank you David!

Don’t waste your money here if you’re going for food. I thought this would be a cool spot to have breakfast with a friend, but both of our meals were awful. The waitress wasn’t kind at all and had a rude attitude from the start (mean girl attitude) black hair with I think blue color dye. The potatoes were clearly frozen, just deep-fried, and the first batch we got was cold, like they had been sitting out. The haystack onions on my dish were the cheap bagged ones you buy at the store for green bean casserole not freshly made and they were cold too, just tossed on top right before serving. The meat in my skillet (I think it was supposed to be brisket) was cubed, cheap, and honestly gross. My friend ordered biscuits and gravy. Once again, the potatoes were cold. The gravy was the only decent part. She said the biscuit was extremely dry and had no flavor at all. Overall, bad food, poor quality ingredients, and unfriendly service. Definitely not worth it.

This place has always been a family staple for us. The new location is great! Tried their cinnamon roll for the first time and it was seriously the best one I’ve ever had. Their beef brisket skillet is incredible as well for breakfast.

I had a wonderful experience at Haymaker. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, but what really made my visit stand out was the service. Charisma, my server, was outstanding — attentive, friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed without ever feeling rushed. She went above and beyond to make my time here enjoyable. A big shout out to Charisma for making my visit such a positive one. I will definitely be back.

Nice modern dining room. They do need to figure out a way to control the relentless afternoon/evening sun (the management contacted me indicating this issue has been resolved since my visit). The service is pretty decent. We ordered biscuit, gravy and eggs 4/5 and country fried steaks 4.5/5. Good beer, wine, and cocktail options.

Holy smokes, this place is amazing!! Huge servings, breakfast all day, pleasant staff, and a reasonable cost for the whole experience. I was recommended to check this them out by a client of mine, so we brought the whole team (8 people). We sat on the patio, each of us got something different, and all ended up eating off each other’s plates. I got the haymaker Benedict… talk about a feast!! I’ll definitely be back here.

We had a late breakfast for three of us. Everything was great and the service was fast. Many of the items are variations on popular dishes. For example, I had a combination huevos ranchero / eggs benedict. We also had a flight of mimosas. Peach, prickly pear, peach and mango. All different t and all good.

menu so different ..finally something totally unique food amazing kids that worked the cashier and food service were fun and awesome have found a new place for lunch.. anxious try other items you will not be disappointed

I have been here two times when I was in Peoria. Great service and the food was excellent. They did accommodate some changes in my order. Friendly staff. Parking is good, they do share a parking lot in a shopping center. The taste, amount, and price was all in line with quality service. I will come back here again when I am in the area. I did recommend this place to some friends that were coming to the area. They did eat here and said it was great also.

Bad. Asked for no tomatoes, no mayonnaise and got a ton of both on my sandwich. Waitress laughed and giggled I'm sorry . One and done. Bathroom had no paper towels either.

Went here for the first time since the rebranding, and the food was pretty good. Their breakfast is very good, and their dinner options are pretty good as well. When we arrived, it took us a while to get seated and served, even though there wasn't that many people dining at the time. Once we were sitting, the service was good.

It's the first time we visited this new location. The wait wasn't that long 10 to 15 minutes. Josh was an awesome server always checking on us. The food on the other hand. My wife ordered the chopped brisket sandwich with fries. The brisket was full of flavor the barbecue sauce was fantastic. I ordered the French dip sandwich. The sandwich lacked a flavor. I ordered the onion rings to go with it. The onion rings reminded me of Jack in the Box. We ordered a side of mac & cheese. mac & cheese was really disappointing. It reminded me of Kraft mac & cheese, they could've added shredded cheese on top and it came out lukewarm. The ambience is very loud.

Visited the new Haymakers location at four corners in Peoria on a Monday evening. First impression is they did a great remodel of the inside (very inviting). We decided to share and tried the Cali Chicken salad, cornbread, fried zucchini and bacon wrapped jalapeños. Zucchini came out first and was excellent. Highly recommend. Cornbread was out next with honey butter. The cornbread was good but the honey butter was a hard pass. The bacon wrapped jalapeños were great and the raspberry sauce on the side pared nicely. Salad was also good size and very tasty. Julius did a very good job as our server for the visit. Overall this location performance is a big upgrade over the old place and we will be back again. 1. First Impressions: The restaurant has a nice shaded patio with misters for outdoor seating. Inside is clean, and cool, with a warm elegance that exudes pride in the statement, God Bless America 2. Service: Our server was incredibly attentive without being overbearing. She gave great menu recommendations. 3. Food/Product/Experience: The food here is fire! We came for the bloody mary and we stayed for the Brisket Skillet! The brisket was fire and rivals the quality of Little Miss BBQ! The kids meal pancakes came with 3 massive pancakes! 4. Pricing: The pricing is fair and the portions are large! Bonus tip, make sure to sign up for the reward app! We received a $10 reward for signing up.

Service was good. Its really just bar food. The interior is entirely too loud to sit, but the outside is great. The fried cauliflower was tasty and a healthy alternative, well healthyish. The burger was cooked to medium well which is just too well done, it also lacked seasoning. The fries were hot but also bland. The fried chicken samdwhich was so thin and fried so long it was dry and bland despite the sauce dip. The coleslaw lacked any seasoning. I'll likely never go back.

First time here and I am already loving this choice for my birthday breakfast. Let's see how they deliver. Our party of 3 were seated right away. Kristin, our server is on point and about business. She took our drink orders and gave us time to decide on our meals. We all chose the California Omelette. One subbed tomatoes for spinach. Two chose hash browns and one country potatoes. I was very pleased with my food. The seasoning was good. The toast was just right. The hash browns were overflowing so didn't finish them. The orange juice was very good according to my daughter. The restroom was clean and neat! Five stars!! This location is locked in for a return visit. The decor is light and airy. I appreciate the brightness. There's a nice covered outdoor area.

I'm regularly at this place. The have an insane deal on a HUGE biscuit and gravy and it's absolutely deliciously. You can absolutely tell the biscuit and gravy are homemade which is hard to find these days. Also, they have a BLTA (avocado) sandwhich with deep fried tomato & fried meal for a great price during lunch. It's on this fluffy Texas toast and I've never had a deep fried tomato until here which adds a nice texture to the sandwich. The place is always busy so definitely don't come if you're in a rush. The staff is friendly and the new place they moved to is beautiful. I can't wait to try their alcoholic drinks

My husband and I had brunch here. I ordered the Haymaker Benedict . The breaded chicken was tender, and the spinach was fresh. My scrambled eggs had a nice sauce. My husband had an all American breakfast. He said the bread was very good. The service was very good. The server offered to refill our coffee many times. My husband said the coffee rated 5. When we arrived at 10:15 on a Sunday, the place was packed. We waited 30 minutes to get seated but it was worth the wait.

Marisol was so pleasant and accommodating. Love their new location, bright and airy, clean and organized. The hostesses acted like she didn't want to be there, and some of the Staff didn't seem happy, which surprised me because at the concepts other location the CS and Staff are always friendly, maybe it was the weather? Food was good, we will go back.

My friend and I decided to grab brunch at a new place so decided to try the Haymaker. The dining room was cute, old fashioned decor. Really homey like at a parent's house. We sat at a booth and it was cozy. The waiter took our order and pretty much left us alone for the most part. I ordered the haymaker famous Benedict which had eggs, chicken fried chicken, mash, spinach, and some sauce. It was a weird combo. The sauce on top didn't have much flavor. The meal itself was heavy. I would recommend it for $18! My friend had the basic breakfast. Her biscuit and gravy were good though. Rest needed salt. Not sure if I would come back. Maybe t other locations.

My wife and I were treating my son and his family to dinner. Everything was going well and then I received my meal. I think it was normally made they way it was presented but it was not good at all to me. I let the waitress know and she took action right away letting me make another choice and quickly preparing it. I have never returned a plate in 50 years of eating out and the restaurant really went out of their way to help turn my frown upside down and it worked. Thank you Haymaker team. We have had many meals with you and will continue to do so. I appreciate that everything can't be perfect when you run a restaurant but it's how you handle the imperfections that makes the difference to me. My favorite waitress got a great tip for excellent service.

This spot never disappoints if you want to go and grab a hearty meal, a good drink have good service and have the accommodations to be able to sit inside or outside, beautiful location, and great people working here , strong drinks, and good food... great brunch

I had a wonderful first time there, I was very impressed with how good the food tasted! The service wasnt so great because our waiter didn't really come by and check on us, I had to grab her attention a few times, the ambiance's was okay, the food was great but I dont think id return because I dont think the customer service was there.

It's located behind Black Rock Coffee and Aldi plaza area since my map took me all over the place. The service was friendly. The portions were large and the prices fair. The food was good. I'm glad we tried it out!

Came here for breakfast since kept seeing it pop up in Yelp. I was excited due to all of the reviews raving about this place! The interior was clean, but pretty basic. The host was quick, but lacked emotion. Like the two things I just mentioned, the food followed the pattern; nothing special. The biscuit was like a dry ball of clay. Eggs were overcooked. Everything just seemed mediocre. It's super out of the way, so I wouldn't go back or recommend to anyone.

Always understaffed on Sundays lots of tables not in use. Good food though and service is decent

We are at Haymaker in Peoria, Az for breakfast. . My wife had the ham and cheese omelette and I hand the Cowboy platter. The service was amazing. David was our server. Our coffee and water never went empty and the food came hot and quick. The ambiance is a welcoming family atmosphere and had a bar. You can get whatever you want to drink including a Bloody Mary or a flight of beer. The owners are from San Diego and are friendly and welcoming. They did relocate from across the street and are going to open the old location in the near future as a brew pub. When in the area you need to go here.

I'm staying up in the area so checked it out. Love the decor. Open and lots of wood. We ordered the fried zucchini and they were so good. I had the meat loaf. It was very yummy. Kind of mushy. Potatoes are great a little dry. My friend had the brisket and pork and Mac and cheese and he ate it all. Plus corn bread. I think that says it all. It was a HUGE portion. The service was great. My drink never got empty. Dirty plates were cleared but yet not oppressive in hanging about. I actually can't wait to go again. I'm only here for a week.

My first time to the new building. It was nice and cozy inside and the food is always as delicious.

Tried to eat here tonight but I don't think we were welcome. The staff let 10 people accumulate at the front door. Several servers looked at the group of people standing there and didn't even bother to acknowledge us. After ten minutes one guy goes will be with you in a minute. Been a few times in the past the food wasn't that good but it was close to home. One some more places open in the area I'll be surprised if they make it. When we decided to walk out the server goes sorry we cut a bunch of people. Makes total sense since it was dinner time

We were searching for a great place to have Brunch and stumbled across this place in which I'm glad that we did! There's televisions everywhere and it's very spacious with plenty of seating throughout. Upon entrance, at first it gave out odd vibes to me, which is why you never judge a book by it's cover. We were seated by a waitress who was fantastic!!! She was friendly and Welcoming! Our table waitress, Zanovia(spelling) was fantastic!!! The flight Mimosas were awesome and I loved that they provided choices of juices to pick. When our food arrived, my Cousin( who now has a food dance after my ranting that she needed one) and I, did our food dances. This is the Perfect place to eat regardless, if you're enjoying a football game, or a boys- girls night out. Whenever my Cousin and I meet up for breakfast I'm going to suggest returning here as this is now my favorite place to eat on the West side. I had the stuffed French toast with a side of bacon, which was AMAZING!!! My Cousin enjoyed her meal, as well as, her cocktail. There's plenty of free parking onsite. This is an awesome location with different establishments surrounding.

My favorite breakfast in Peoria. The new place is nice and bright and very big. The staff is great and the food always comes out hot. IMHO they have the best Arnold Palmers around. The restaurant is always clean and service is fast.

Service - Lilly was Awesome!! If you can sit in her section and her wait on you , guaranteed you'll have a great experience. She has a beautiful personality along with a smile. Great customer service. It was a quiet evening, not many customers inside but it has a very laid back vibe. Our party ordered the French dip, buffalo chicken sandwich and a mixed salad with chicken. All the food was tasty but the chicken sandwich completely fell apart so it became an open face sandwich We enjoy visiting Haymakwrs when we are in town. .

Food was okay but nothing special (I make better French toast). Service was marginal. We were sat near the bar and serviced by bar staff. We were not a priority. Ambiance was bad since we were sat next to the walk in cooler and constantly had staff opening and closing the door. Not sure why they sat us at that table given we walked by MANY empty tables on the way to where the hostess seated us. Very disappointed since the old location was a much better experience. We won't be back.

Took family for breakfast on Saturday and the loved the food. Service was great, everyone was happy with what they ordered. Can't remember, I should have taken pictures. next time.

Wow totally amazed at the flavors of our breakfast, everything pretty much freshly made. The quality of the food is astronomical super delicious. The service by the very beautiful A. Charisma was top notch service. The manager walking around making sure everyone is well taken care of was very much appreciated. I suggest everyone makes this a stop on your way by well worth the drive. Thank you Ladies

Haymaker is on of my fav places! The French dip and fried pickles are a must each time. We always enjoy the service and appreciate that we can show up 30-45 before closing we get seated with no problem when we're in a rush to get in there (we don't do it often but when we do it's on accident lol) I do wish they were open later on the weekdays but the staff need to get home to their families too so we understand

I've been coming here the past few years. I usually order to go so that I can have my meal with my dog Ranger. This is his favorite place to get breakfast from and yesterday morning I ordered his last meal and I left a little note thanking them for always making him delicious food and this was the response. A little heart-shaped pancake and a small bowl of whipped cream with a sweet message. Not only has the food here always been amazing, the service is usually good and if they are having an off night then they make sure their customers are taken care of. Thank you. Truly.

This is a typical looking BBQ joint with a warm ambiance of dark wood and cute decor. Our server, a young man, was very attentive and friendly. Our friend ordered the burger and fries which she enjoyed. I love brisket and pretty much order brisket at any BBQ restaurant we dine at when traveling. Unfortunately it was 90 % fat. I was able to get two bites and had to discard the rest. So, so disappointing and it was really inexcusable. The Mac & cheese was a hard clump and sadly couldn't eat it either. The beans were delicious. My husband ordered the shredded pork which he said was tender but no flavor and really needed to be salted. He also enjoyed the beans but his side of cole slaw was tasteless. Drinks were good and service was great. Looking at the reviews I felt like we must have ate at a completely different restaurant. Perhaps it was just an off night.

Stopped by for a quick lunch and grabbed a burger and man it was good. Cooked perfectly and juicy. Fries are really good and great service.

We love this place! The breakfast was delicious!! We had the California omelet, stuffed French toast, pancakes and fruity pebbles French toast that they made gluten free for us...super yummy. The staff was very kind and attentive. Price point is right where it should be, worth every penny. We will for sure be back!

Nice place. Plain, simple atmosphere, good for the entire family. Not as lively as other choices you may have, but good food and good service. Sat at the bar and had dinner. Bartender was prompt and attentive. The meatloaf dinner with smashed potatoes was good and the salad fresh. Would be a place we'd return to.

Their hamburgers are real beef and thick. The best item on the menu is the strawberry waffle !!!!!!!! Tender and moist. Its our favorite place for our COA group

Went there for lunch with family had wonderful service atmosphere is very pleasant and the food or at least my ribs were outstanding. We'll definitely be going back.

The new location is great. The food is pretty good although I just get breakfast so I can't comment on the rest of the menu. The regular bartender is much better than that male diva you had before. She is much more professional.

I have visited this location twice and was very impressed. The biscuits and gravy were done perfectly and my scrambled eggs were done great. My next visit was a chicken sandwich and salad. Right on also to the wonderful service.
