Heard. Burger Borough

Found this great place! The burgers at Heard are incredibly juicy and packed with flavor. We tried the Heard Burger, the Truffle Burger, and the Cheesy Fries, everything was 10/10. ​It’s tucked away a little bit, which makes it feel like a lucky find and a real treat. Service was impressively quick and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. We both argued that our own choice was the best, which just goes to show you can't go wrong here. Definitely a must-visit!

We ordered the Red Leicester burger and the Ogleshield one - and both were very very good. I think the ogleshield (heard burger) was our favourite - the jalepeno was delicious and everything worked well together. I’m not usually a fan of smash burgers and this one was too thin for me too but the flavour was awesome! Really unique burger. I love the salad as well!! Delicious herbs and dressing. The chips were cooked to perfection too, no complaints.

Saturday night, feeling lazy, let's go for Burgers. Equidistant between London Bridge and Southwark, I suggest a detour and walk by the river to wet your appetite. Heard has a good system for ordering take-outs at the entrance with Touchscreen etc. We had reserved so were nicely shown to our table inside the restaurant. There are also plenty of tables outside protected from the wind but probably better for a sunny lunch. We are in luck, there is extra burger on the menu. A collaboration with a Michelin Chef, the main menu is also strong. Most are smash burgers but also a thick(ish) patty option. We ordered 3 burgers, mine was the Soho. One of the cornerstone of the burger is the sour pickle and there were three of them in their standard burger. In my case, I was pleasantly surprised to hit a base sauce made of tarragon, mayo and finely chopped vinegar based small gherkins. It elevated my burger and to top things a small pot of peppercorn sauce to enjoy with your fries or pour on the burger. Simply genius. The team seemed understaffed as we had to go and chase the server a couple of times for things but always got served within a minute of finding our server. The atmosphere? It pretty is loud with an extra hard reverb due to bouncy ceiling so not a long stay option. Sitting outside looked pleasant. The desert was an Ice cream sandwich, which looked creative and cool but tasted dry and average. Heard's Burgers are competitively priced and excellent value. Verdict: Very clever burgers, probably more of a spring summer hangout. I will be back.

Stopped by on a Monday around 18.30 and the place was practically empty. Cool little spot with seating options inside and out which was great. Tried both the boring burger and the heard burger, enjoyed them both. Tasty and full of flavour. Brioche bun does make it a little too sweet for me (personal taste) but they’re very good burgers. And the seasoned fries were excellent too. Will definitely return to try the other burgers on the menu!

Excellent burgers, fries, and drinks. Food and drinks came out impressively fast, and the alternative playlist was a nice surprise! Service was very attentive at the start, though it slowed a bit once our plates were cleared and we weren’t offered another drink, dessert, or the bill until we flagged someone down. It was a Saturday night but not overly busy (around 60% full). That said, I’d absolutely come back again!

I wish there was a 4.5 star. The food was excellent, really good, better than I thought even after reading a few reviews. The restaurant was a bit under half full when I was there so considering that the service was quite slow (had to wait 25 mins to order, and asked a waiter twice to do so and he kept wiping down tables instead when there were a few ready for walk ins to take). Will be coming back for the burger though because wow.

Even the boring burger was not so boring! A burger how it should be. The burger patty was amazing very tasty and juicy and with some proper cheese melted on top. The bread bun was very fluffy and not too much. The salad was nice and fresh with olive oil and my little one’s chips were amazing too. Nice beer and milkshake as well.

Juicy, saucy, smashed burgers! I will say the bacon jam is seriously delicious, lather that on there! Feeling the need for a smash burger, give heard from London bridge a go. Friendly staff, tasty grub are a great combo!
