Oh. My. Goodness. We passed by this Mayfair boutique every day on our way to the tube station during our recent London visit, and each time my wife -- a surprisingly staunch supporter of my passion for fine wines -- asked if I wanted to pop in. So glad I finally agreed, and probably economically sensible to have done so on the last day of the visit, rather than the first. This most incredible and unique wine shop has a huge selection of premium wines from around the globe, a wide range of vintages at price points from $30 to prohibitively expensive. There were $2,000 bottles of well-aged Bordeaux laying right out on the shelves alongside more wallet-friendly options. A 1774 vintage bottle in the vault. A self-service tasting bar with amazing quality and variety -- I enjoyed a 1985 Pomerol and a 2005 Margaux, among others. The staff was helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, generous, and passionate. And lively music -- nothing but The Who during my visit. Heaven.

Google
An incredible boutique, arguably the best bourbon selection in the UK. The prices are a little higher than usual but given the location it is fairly priced with an incredible selection on offer. Fantastic staff, very helpful and charming. A must visit if you are bourbon hunting in London

Google
Great store, you can find an extremely wide variety of everything. Wines, Whiskies and Gins are amazing and prices are really good. Also, they always give advise if you are looking for something specific!

Alex is a legend! From searching for exactly what I wanted (a very vintage Champagne) a quick call to Alex at Hedonism Wines he swiftly answered all my questions and helped me with payment. The most impressive thing about my experience was Alex even found a leaflet AND date related box for my Champagne making it worth so much more! My purchase even arrived gift wrapped. Extremely happy customer and would recommend 10 out of 10!

Google
We visited the store for a wine tasting event. South of France wine tasting event which was excellent. The wine showcased were on the premium segment as the cheapest wine was around £30 a bottle and the range was going up to £200 for a bottle. So got to taste wines from Provence and Rhone region. Lot’s of premium wines and ones which you do not normally see in restaurants in UK. Tickets were £75/- a person and £15/- could be redeemed towards a bottle of wine which was being offered in the tasting. Overall a great way to start an evening. Verdict 5/5

Google
Hedonism Wine is not just a store; it’s a treasure trove for wine lovers, a veritable museum of vintages from every corner of the globe. With a staggering collection of over 7,300 wines, their selection is unparalleled, and the staff’s knowledge and friendliness add to the exceptional experience. A unique feature is their innovative use of Enomatic machines, allowing you to sample nearly 50 wines on-site, a luxury not found elsewhere. This place truly redefines the wine shopping experience. The highlight of my visit was interacting with Gennaro, a sales associate whose passion for wine and exceptional customer service skills made my experience memorable. His assistance in navigating the extensive selection of wines, spirits, and champagnes was invaluable. The ability to taste rare and prohibitively expensive bottles by the glass is a testament to Hedonism’s commitment to making luxury accessible. Hedonism’s appeal extends beyond the extensive range of bottles. The store, located in the heart of London’s Mayfair, is a blend of sophistication and accessibility, catering to both connoisseurs and casual enthusiasts. Whether you’re on a budget or ready to splurge, there’s something for every wallet. Hedonism Wine is more than a store; it’s an experience that caters to all your senses, leaving you wanting to return for more.

Yelp
Omg. This might be the best selection of wine I have ever seen in a store. Absolutely astounding. This is not a place to go for plonk, but if you want good wine this place is unmatched. In addition to massive fine wine selection and whiskey selection they have some amazing verticals and rare wines. They also have wines by the taste. I sampled a '64 Haut-Brion and a '76 BV among others. Just wow.

Yelp
The wine tasting room in the basement is great - amazing selection, service and atmosphere. I tasted £35 worth of wines, some of then I would have never come across. Thank you for a great experience!

Yelp
Obviously that's a pearl of wine store. This store was established by Russian oligarch. If you wine lover, sommelier or just enthusiast you will find here the huge kind of wines or spirits on every pocket and taste. Lot of choice elite spirits and kind of things about it. Nice stuff could consult you about every type of wines in this store.

Yelp
Sigh. Although it may be repetitive, I corroborate that this is indeed THE wine shop. The best. They couldn't have been lovelier or more knowledgeable and provided a great variety of choices totally tailored to our tastes and budget. The sheer variety of options was absolutely mind boggling, but their skillful staff steered us in the right direction; they even gave us a taste of a beautiful, unique wine to help us to with our selection. Go to Hedonism wine. If you are visiting, make sure to save room in your suitcase - you won't leave empty handed.

Yelp
This place is a must see when in Mayfair. They have every wine you can think of in every year possible. They had a really fun room with different hands as wine bottle holders

Yelp
Amazing selection of wines, whiskey, gin from all around the world in the heart of London. The staffs are very knowledgable. The prices are a bit high. I also like the decor too.

Yelp
Best selection of wines you'll likely find anywhere in the world. Prices are higher than you will find secondary, but if you can't find it, they probably have it. A must stop to look through and make sure you drink from the rare wines in the basement.

Yelp
Came to London visiting the sights with the family and hubby is a wine lover so we ended up here. The wine shop is world class. I don't even drink and I thought it was beautiful and classy joint to sample wines. They even have a little area for the kids to play while the adults indulged themselves. If you like wine, this place is a mist pit stop on your trip to London.

Yelp
A must stop for wine lovers. 27L bottles of Masseto, Petrus, Sine qua non stacked like nukes on a typhoon class sub. Yqem lying around on shelves like it were JLohr. A store, actually a museum, for oligarchs nearby by an oligarch, but one that is more than happy to welcome and offer a great selection for plebes like myself. Recommended by Jancis Robinson as well!

Yelp
This is the crème de la crème of wine! With over 50,000 bottles of wine and I believe this could be the best collection and range in the UK!! They have the whole Penfold Grange collection exhibited downstairs, which would blow any wine collectors mind. It is on sale for a mere £600,000 - what a bargain! If wine isn't your thing, the upstairs mezzanine also stocks a impressive range of spirits. The staff are extremely friendly and happy to walk you through whatever your interest might be to find a drink to suit even the fussiest drinkers.

Yelp
This store in hands-down the nicest wine store I have ever seen!!! Quantity, quality, selection, the design, conceptualization, uniqueness, and the friendly and knowledgeable associates simply blew me away. I had read about this store in wine magazines. The accessibility and quantity of both cult wines and top producers and vintages was mind-blowing. The associates treat everyone the same no matter what your budget. There is wine tastings and great tunes. I you love and appreciate amazing wine, liquor, and glassware this store will be a slice of heaven for you. www.hedonism.co.uk

Yelp

Yelp
Oh! Oh! Oh! Wine geek heaven! I have never experienced a wine store like this! I am a California wine-o-file and I was overwhelmed with the selection of high end Cali cabs. They had Abreu, Opus One, Bond (no Harlan that I saw), Donelan, Ovid, Aubert and on and on. I stumbled upon the wall of Sine Qua Non and was taking a picture when I noticed the ROOM of Sine Qua Non right next to the wall! For you non-California wine-o-files, there was plenty for everyone - a room of Penfolds which included many older Grange vintages...and one of the Penfolds Ampoule for a mere 120.000 Pounds. They had some very large formats of various Bordeaux first growths and Brunellos. There was a nook filled with DRC as well. All was pricey but not overly so for the selection. If I ever win the lottery, I want to come here next!

Yelp
What a gem of a drinks shop. It's got such a fabulous range of spirits, you can't just put this down as a wine shop alone. Upstairs is a veritable feast of spirits from around the world, and downstairs is a beautiful cave of wines - with a tasting area that can cater for any group size from 2 to 200, with tastings created specifically for each need, whether it's date night or a corporate event. The knowledge of the team there is unquestionable, and they advise appropriately without pushing you towards the most expensive. Prices are fair; they're a little higher than online, but I'm happy to pay them to support such a great local business.

Yelp
As others have said Hedonism is like a wine museum. Exotic and famous bottles are lined up like exhibits in beautiful (for the wine) low light conditions. If you are looking for a rare, special or expensive bottle Hedonism must be London's best bet. The selection from Bordeaux is particularly impressive. This said, the wine which is on offer is, generally, fairly pricey and many of the bottles will out of reach of most people's wallets. However, all is not lost as there is a big range of enomatic cabinets in the basement which allow you to taste sips of pricey wines at more accommodating prices.

Yelp
Now this is a wine shop I can really get into! We stopped by here to pick up some wine for dinner later in the evening. The restaurant we were going to doesn't have alcohol, but you can drink your own that you bring. We decided we couldn't really just stop at the off-license across the street, so we came here. The store is quite glorious. There are two floors with whites and spirits on the ground floor and reds in the basement. The basement also has a tasting area where you load a card and try what you want. They have a range of wines that you can try from less than £1 per taste to £20 per taste if you're feeling crazy. The wines are not necessarily cheap either. They do have some cheaper wines, but a lot of the wines are in the £100+ range, with some reaching up to £1000. In fact, they had 23 years of wines from a certain winery for around £24,000 or something ridiculous like that. The price you may be spending for wines does seem a bit hedonistic. But they do have some nice wines there. We managed to find some wines from France we hadn't been able to find in the UK, so now we know where to go. If you're looking for some nice, albeit mostly expensive, wines, Hedonism wines is the place for you. Friendly staff and great decorations lead to an awesome wine shop.

Yelp
This large and selective wine and spirit shop is very well stocked with top of the line wine, and an extensive selection of just about every kind of liquor you could ask for. The fact that it is in Mayfair should pretty much tell you the price range. This is not where you go to pick up cheap plonk on your way to some mate's mate's party, however it should also not stop you from going in and having a look as there are wines to be found in very acceptable price ranges. The staff are approachable and happy to help. If the chichi wine puts you off (and it shouldn't), there are a plethora of spirits to shop for. I was thrilled to find some high end, hard to find, and much coveted mezcals from Mexico. For those in the know, mezcals, GOOD mezcals, are better then high end tequilas these days, and if you can find them, which at the moment in London is very hard, you should grab them! Like here at Hedonism. If that isn't your thing well then there are some very fine whiskeys, grappas, etc. to whet your pallet. Definitely one of the finer wine shops in London.

Yelp
If all wine and liquor stores were this nice I'd drink more, LOL. Other than the decor and layout of the store, the selection of wines and spirits is more than I've ever seen. Being from the states, I was most impressed with their selection of Napa wines including Inglenook. In addition, they had a great selection of Italian wines including Brunelos. Lastly, any whisky or scotch drinker will be awestruck with the massive selection. of single malts and blends from around the world. I got a rare Scottish 38 year old scotch that I couldn't find in the states.
google avatar

Andy H.

Yelp
Not only do they have an amazing collection, the service is amazing. They make you feel at home and find wines that match your palette. When I visit London I stop by and they'll find wines at any price and put thought into it.

Yelp
This might be the greatest shop on earth! I am more excited by going into Hedonism Wines today than I was any toy store as a child. The sheer depth and breadth of top quality wines from every corner of the globe is so inspiring I am literally having dreams about shopping sprees here. Their Enomatic tasting machine has a broad selection (20 whites + 20 reds?) of very high end wines available for purchase in 25ml quantities (wines recently included d'Yquem 01, Sine Qua Non reds and whites, 20+ year old Rhones, and Grand Cru Burg's). If you are a wine fanatic, pray towards 3/7 Davies Street W1....

Yelp
Great Service. Ordered 4 bottles @ 4pm. Arrived with me by 11am the next morning. Excellent!

Yelp
I want to move into this place immediately. I was like a kid in a candy shop when I came in. I only had 30 minutes until closing, but I really maximized my tasting time downstairs. They have unbelievable wines available for tasting, but the fun part is looking through the entire "gallery" of wines they have available, including the wall of Yquem and the collection of Mouton. I can't explain how amazing this place is and I want to spend a much longer time in Hedonism when I come back in December.

Gwen A.

Yelp
This is the best wine store I have ever been to. It feels like walking to a wine cellar at a French winery. Selection is unparalleled, especially for French reds. There is a wine for everyone here, from under £20 to giant bottles going for £6,000. I got fantastic value on a 2014 st Emilion and a 2011 Medoc. Unlike any wine store in New York City. I will be back to check out the extensive whiskey collection. Staff is pleasant, knowledgeable, and not overbearing. No pressure to buy. If you like wine, you must go here.
google avatar

Yelp
the service here is great and the selection is amazing, even for liquors as opposed to wine where the selection is nothing short of insane

Yelp
Hedonism is like a candy store for wine lovers. It is a lovely place to browse for wines as it has one of the most extensive selections of high end wines and big name brands I have ever seen. With a central location (in Mayfair) I do rather often end up browsing here for a while. The atmosphere is great for browsing and staff are friendly (although level of knowledge varies greatly depending on who is working) so it is usually nice to have a look around. They also have a decent selection of other liquor, some wine books and glasses. So why only a rating of three stars. For me it is the fact that I seldom find anything to buy here and that largely comes down to two reasons, first the selection is extensive but to some extent fairly boring is at is the big names that dominate here and I am often searching for smaller producers and that is just not the focus of Hedonism. Nothing wrong with that but in combination with my other objection it just does not make it my go to place. The other objection I have is that the price level sometimes is just ridicoulus. Hedonism is often substantially more expensive than other shops (have seen cases where they charge up to double that of what others charge but more normal is 20-50% more). For the really high end stuff (stuff for a few £1000s) they are however more competitive so it seems they try to have higher margins on their 'cheaper' (thinking of the stuff costing £50 and up to a few £100). Still I think that it is a place well worth to have a look around in,

Yelp
Best wine collection I have ever seen! Most impressive collection of St. Juliens and Pauillacs! I actually bought some hard to find spirits and the staff was extremely helpful with recommendations and knowledge. They also have amazing bubble packing for travel, that i will reuse on my bourbon smuggling missions. I will be back again when I return to London.

Yelp
Best whisky collection in the UK. Period. I've been looking for a few Macallan of a specific year (1976) all over the UK, including the 3 biggest Whisky shops in Edinburgh (you'd think if you're that close to the source they'd have it) to no avail. Then I stumbled on this on the way to work. They had FOUR bottle of 18 year old Macallan distilled in 1976. Good thing I only needed one and they even let me choose from the fullest bottle too :) They actually have Macallan from many other years as well, not just 1976. So tempting to get the 1982 one too as it also carry a meaning to me. If you're looking for RARE whisky that you can't find elsewhere, I'm pretty sure you can find it here. Your wallet is the limit. The more expensive the whisky, the cheaper you will find it here because they just have many of them. For comparison I paid £1150 for the 1976 distilled 18yo Macallan while most other stores list it for £1400+ and NONE available. If you're looking for daily drinking whisky (£100 and below) then I suggest buying them from online shops because the price here are a bit more expensive. Example: 12yo Sherry oak Macallan for 69 compared to 55-59 on UK high street/online. The store is pleasantly organised and the staff are quite knowledgeable. :) They can also do VAT receipt so you can claim tax back when you leave the EU as well. for £1335 bill the admin fee was £43 and you can get back £169 (less admin fee compare to Apple store) Cheers, Luan

Yelp
Oenological Nirvana ?? Bacchus finally reaches Mount Olympus ??? This is a breathtaking shop with everything, and I mean everything, for the wine lover. This has to be as good as it gets anywhere, ever. The shop is temperature controlled, the staff are well-informed and charming, the stock is comprehensive and quite extraordinary. I could give you any number of examples. Let us settle for one: Alsace, a particular favourite of mine. You could buy here (for an unbelievable dinner) Trimbach's Friedrich Emile Riesling as an aperitif, to be followed by the legendary Clos St. Hune Riesling and finishing with Hugel's Selection des Grain Nobles (noble rot) Gewurtztraminer. Where else in this world are you going to see wine like that all for sale in one place ??? Unbelievable !!
