Hei Fung Terrace

"The exotic atmosphere is suggestive of a Chinese garden. Being part of a Hong Kong group, the focus is on Cantonese cuisine. The dim sum master creates xiaolongbao and gyoza, while the grill master serves up chicken and pork baked in iron pots. From the cornucopia of ingredients, guests can decide the seasoning and cooking style, including stewed items in oyster sauce and stir-fried items with XO or black bean sauce. Ask to sit overlooking the outer garden of the Imperial Palace." - Michelin Inspector

The food and service were absolutely amazing! The Peking duck was perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the beef noodles were incredibly rich and comforting. Naoya made our dinner extra special with his warm, positive attitude and thoughtful touches—including a surprise birthday treat that truly made the night memorable. Everyone working at the restaurant was so welcoming and attentive, which made the entire experience feel even more special. We’ll definitely be coming back!

This dimsum course menu is excellent at the peninsula. Now it might take a while for every dish to come out but the anticipation is worth it. Even the nuts that are just appetizers were very good. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is tired of Japanese food while in Tokyo.

I went to Hei Fung Terrace for dinner with my family had was fortunate enough to dine at the Chef’s table. The food was excellent but the Cha Siu Bao REALLY reminded me of my time in Hong Kong. Would I got back to this restaurant again ? Absolutely but next time I need to order more Cha Siu Bao’s 😁

Have been here before for lunch and liked it very much, so I decided to try it for dinner. The room is beautiful and looks like a classic Chinese garden. The hostess and servers are extremely kind and professional, and made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. They really strike the right balance. The food is very very good. We had the Peking Duck, wok fried scallops and shrimp, and Hayama beef in XO sauce. All of them were delicious. The Peking duck came in two courses and was prepared tableside by our server. He was fantastic and so was the duck. The scallops and shrimp came with some autumn vegetables, and they were lightly sautéed and incredibly delicious. The beef was absolutely fabulous. It melted in your mouth and was extremely good. Perhaps the best beef dish I’ve had at a Chinese restaurant All in on one of the best Chinese meals I’ve had in Tokyo, a city which is known for its outstanding Chinese food. Highly recommend it!

Yesterday was one of my worst food experiences but today was one of my best! My clients invited me to a power lunch to discuss investments and I was treated very well From the private room to the full "Chef's Signature course" Absolutely a gem The service was impeccable, the dishes were divine So much detail in each dish, you can smell, taste and even feel the natural ingredients. If you want to impress someone who likes Cantonese Chinese ( not Spicy) this is a must Located on the 2nd floor of Peninsula hotel so easy by train ( connected to metro, 2 minutes by JR and taxi) I have added the menu + pics so plz check it out Sorry for the poor quality of pic as I'm still using a Blackberry

This would be one of those place I wouldn’t seem interested in going. But went with somebody else and had the chance to try their signature dish — a sweet steam bun with pork inside and it was a beauty. The rest of food we ordered were okay, but I felt that bun was the highlight of it all. Went on a Sunday after 2pm and had to wait less than 10 minutes to go in, but it looks like the waiting times during peak hours can be long.

Yelp
Hei Fung is the Cantonese restaurant on the second floor of the Peninsula Hotel. Given Peninsula's roots in Hong Kong it is no surprise that Hei Fung serves up excellent Cantonese food. The service is excellent as well.
