Loved my stay here! Such cool vibes, loved how the rooms are decorated. Was in a suite, so nice had a huge retro fridge. The pool was so relaxing and loved the drinks at the bar, definitely felt like a resort. The restaurant is AMAZING!!! It’s newer it just opened but spectacular food, I would eat there every day so delicious. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a DJ at the pool on the weekends, such a fun environment, perfect for a trip to Houston. It’s also perfect location, it was so close to all the things I wanted to do and see in Houston. Will absolutely be back here

We arranged plans in Houston for our anniversary and this hotel looked to have everything we were looking for. We specifically were wanting a pool and nearby places to eat and drink since we were avoiding driving. We loved the bar and restaurant everything was really good. The rooms were clean and they even set me up with some champagne for our anniversary. The only bummer for this trip was the pool. It was closed so we ultimately paid 140 dollars to sit in a room all day. We had two calls and messages from the hotel confirming and double checking our stay as well as my special requests. Not once was the fact that the pool was closed was mentioned. Even at the bar we were offered so go sit by the pool and enjoy our drinks but we decided to eat first. We walked around with our swim suits on and not once was it mentioned. We had to pay to go somewhere else to swim which defeated the whole hotel with a pool thing. The front desk didn't really seem to care either. They told us the "main attraction" was the rooms not the pool so she didnt see why it had to be mentioned but she told me I could talk to a manager which we had to wait for the next day. They couldn't do anything because we booked through hotels.com. Overall the experience could've been better but we still enjoyed. For the price and the inconvenience I would book somewhere else next time.

I made a reservation at this hotel for my son using choice reward points. This hotel refused to honor that even though choice rewards policy is that immediate family members can check in on reservations made using points. I think called choice hotels to cancel the reservation and this location is not answering their phone now they have attempted several times to call them.

I ended up checking out of this hotel within a few hours of checking in. The room we were given did not look anything like the pictures here. We didn’t have a fridge like the rooms pictured in social media. The door of our room didn’t close all the way even while latched shut, there was a 1/2 inch opening. The extra lock on the door didn’t move to be able to use that for added security. When we checked in the man at the counter was not friendly at all. The neighborhood was really run down so I did not feel safe staying with a door that wasn’t locked and I also wanted a fridge in the room. This is the first hotel I have ever been asked to pay the full amount at time of check in. We drove to Pearland (only 20 minute drive) after checking in for an attraction and it was a much nicer area. I searched hotels there and for the same price we got a much nicer room, it was clean and safe. So we went back to Heights House and I told him about my concerns for safety and the door not closing tight. He called his manager and the manager got on the phone with me and told me I would see a refund in 3-5 business days. The refund did come through. I would suggest seeing the room you are assigned to before paying. You can tell the reviews are either good or bad, no in between. So I think they have nice rooms and really bad rooms and I don’t know how they go about assigning those rooms.

Google
Heights House Hotel was a surprising choice for a corporate retreat, but the perfect option for our team. The food and drink from the on-site location were incredible. The staff was accommodating, helpful and so friendly. I'd stay here again for any reason, and the location just off the interstate made it and easy in-and-out trip to Houston by car.

Google
This hotel is definitely a vibe! My best friend and I spent the day by the pool, and we got lucky because there was a fashion event happening, which made the experience even more fun! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the drinks and food were great. It’s clear they host a lot of cool events here, and I’ll definitely be back for more!

Pool area is cute but small and Very shallow - no jumping or diving with 4’6 depths. Food is priced fine until they hit you with a $5 service fee that isn’t clearly mentioned anywhere?? Just be real and up the prices + pay your workers more instead of surprising guests with fees.

Outstanding service was provided by Jack today. I will be glad to return. Edit: The second day of stay I was reprimanded for trying to take a couple of tacos and told I could only have one. I didn’t get any on my first morning here, and was pretty hungry. I didn’t like that part of my stay. Jack wasn’t the one who did that though. Honestly, as much as I like Jack and his service the guy on my second day not letting me have a taco when I didn’t even get my share on my first day left me pretty bummed. I’m gonna have to knock off a star or two.

Yelp
Came to see my cousin-in-law, Julie McKnight, perform. Such a cool vibe. Some people were dressed in character but there were good vibes the entire night. Whatever that purple drink is (margarita or daiquiri), you only need ONE! I was recovering two days later.... The crowd was mixed and both djs were awesome. This was my first time attending a venue that played house music and I really enjoyed myself. There were two food trucks right outside of the hotel. When I looked at the hotel rooms online they were very cool and retro. If I ever want a local staycation, I'm going to remember this funky place. The decor outside the pool area are vibrant and lively. There is parking right across the street and we paid $10 to park inside of the venue.

Yelp
Really great place in the heart of downtown. Could get loud in the summer with the pool but they tell you that. Only downfall was I was sleeping peacefully and quietly but they started working on the room next door early and there was loud music. It got me up and going though so I can't complain too much.

Yelp
Heights House had been my go to place to stay when visiting Houston to see friends play at Rehab Bar on the Bayou. Heights House is very close by and prior to our most recent experience, it really fit the bill for convenience, comfort, and customer service. Sadly this changed completely last year. My husband and I paid for a room for January 31st so that we could see Engine Driver at Rehab, have a festive time with friends, and a safe sleep after all the fun. Unfortunately, nothing happened as planned. During a trip home from California, a front headlight on our car went out and since we couldn't get it repaired in time, we contacted Heights House to let them know we would not be able to use the room. Because it was paid for, we wanted to gift it to friends who were part of the Rehab music/NYE experience. I was told by Heights House staff that it was fine and my friends only needed to know about a charge to their credit card for incidentals. No problem there. But when my friends showed up, the Heights House person manning the front desk couldn't locate the reservation! It had faded into the ether, all $180.00 of it. They ended up driving back to the Island. At the end of it all, I contacted Heights House and was told that I would be refunded. Then I got a call back saying that they could not issue the refund, but the third party site used could. I dutifully contacted the third party site and was told they'd start the process. Well, that hit a snag when they emailed me to let me know that Heights House had declined the refund. Somewhat mystified, I called Heights House and was assured that the refund had been approved by a manager and a refund would be forthcoming. I contacted the third part site to share that info and was told they needed specifics, like the manager's name and the date and time the approval was given. I called Heights House back and was told emphatically that it would be "worked on" and that I would get my refund. You know what? I never did. No more Heights House bullshit for me.

Yelp
Honestly one of the cooler places I've stayed at. Perfect for a group liking to have a party or a stay cation for a night away from home. The rooms were completely renovated and the bar and pool area add to the entire atmosphere. Music goes until pretty late so don't stay here thinking you're not going to party.

Yelp
We loved our stay here, it's exactly what we expected (which is not true with a lot of hotels out there pretending they are something they aren't) We recommend and will stay again if needed.

Yelp
I chose this location for our overnight stay because of its proximity to the House of Blues where my friend and I were going to a concert. I am glad I did. The hotel was friendly and inviting. Staff were super nice, including the bartender. Room was clean and nicely decorated. In fact, the entire hotel has been recently redecorated. It has a fun and funky vibe that I adored. The pool area has a huge covered hang out area around it that would be great for families on vacation. The bartender was super friendly and chatted with my friend and I while we enjoyed a couple of cocktails before getting ready for the concert. The beds were a little lumpy, but comfy once I moved to the middle of the mattress. Pillows were fiberfill which is a plus for me since I am allergic to feather ones. Breakfast the next morning had a variety of options that even fit my restricted diet, and the coffee was high quality and delicious. I would absolutely stay here again next time I am in Houston.

Yelp
This is a small, boutique style hotel with a fun vibe and a cute bar. Great for a fun little getaway with your friends. Rooms were clean, free parking, and staff was all very helpful. Special shout out to Marlene for being exceptionally patient and attentive.

Yelp
When I arrived, I was ready for a nap, and there was a very loud techno party going on by the pool. It turns out that there is music from 11 AM till 11 PM on the weekends. Lots of singles in bathing suits. They turn it down slightly during the week. Luckily, I had a room far enough away that I could barely hear the party. The staff was pretty wonderful; for my second day, they moved me to a room away from some barking dogs. There was a beautiful bartender. There were two sweet people at the front desk. Even the T-shirts for sale were adorable. The place is owned by a local rapper and it is a total party.Physically, it just looks like any other roadside motel with a really fun paint job. I really fell in love with the area, The Heights. I had previously only been familiar with the suburbs, but I loved the experience of seeing the old growth oak trees, and the funky vintage shops and boutiques. I didn't know about the music venues and the dive bars. Very cool area. And this hotel was very central and close to the highway so easy to get around anywhere you need to go in the big city sprawl of Houston.

Yelp
Check-in was a breeze. I arrived at 1am and there were no problems getting into my room. The front desk person was super nice. It is very humid in the rooms and the air is a bit wet. Maybe it's the neighborhood/environment. But the room had a slight mold smell and you always feel a bit sweaty even if the AC is on. Could be the motel type setting. Otherwise I can't complain. It's great for the price. It's usually priced under $100 on HotelTonight. The breakfast was super basic. I think the best thing was the bagels. But hey, it's a free breakfast. However, you have to pay for water - bottled water. There's no water in the rooms and no water or juice with the free breakfast. There is a separate room in the hallway where there are vending machines and a microwave. The decor looks bright and youthful. Lots of colors and it makes the shabbiness of the old renovated motel feel inviting. The neighborhood is nothing to be excited about. It's about 10 minutes from downtown and 15 minutes from the airport. So it's a cool little hip and cheap place to stay when visiting Houston. Just know there's no extras, no frills.

Yelp
"Why would anyone need functional outlets near the bed?" is something literally NO ONE has asked in more than a decade. Except for the people behind the cool & funky™ Heights House Hotel. Apparently, putting the only outlets directly beneath thefloating nightstand is the Obvious Choice. Yes, even though there's a convenient cutout in said nightstand for plugging in a charging station. Y'all really OK with forcing your guests to LITERALLY lay on the floor to plug in phone chargers, CPAP machines, etc? The a/c works, the beds seem relatively comfortable, and the back side of the hotel is quiet enough on a Friday night. Hopefully my car is safe in the dark parking lot.

Yelp
Cool spot, everyone was super friendly and chill. The ambiance was a vibe, good food and good drinks. The room was quaint but had a comfortable bed and nice decor. Fridge and microwave were a plus! Very nice stay overall, especially for the price. Would stay again!

Yelp
My girlfriend stayed there at my recommendation last weekend. What a mistake! She was there for one night but was charged for three nights and two incidental charges totaling $587 extra. 5 days later when she saw the charges she called over there three times and was told they were too busy to help. they then stopped taking her calls all together. my girlfriend was in tears. I went over in person and found three people at the desk. When I tried to intervene, I was told they were too busy and I should wait at the bar and have a drink. I told him I'd give them a few minutes and after that they had to address my concerns. I repeatedly asked for a manager or owner. I was told there were none after being there for 10 minutes with no help. I started to let patrons now the type of establishment they were entering. Magically a manager possibly an owner came out to see me. Instead of being courteous, he was combative, never introduced himself to me, and wanted to talk more to me than listen to my concerns. It was 10 minutes of frustration. Ultimately it got resolved, but not because of him. On my way out I asked the man how do I avoid something like this in the future.? He told me it was probably because a debit card was used. I reminded him that there were two extra nights charged as well as two incidental charges and that this is not a bank error but a clerical one. He then responded that $597 wasn't much money and my girlfriend should've just waited until later that night or until the bank addressed it. Clearly, this facility does not respect customer finances, and lacks the finesse to handle concerns as they arise. I will no longer be recommending this place to my friends and family as I have for the last two years. I would think about staying somewhere else if you're in town and watch your money closely.

Yelp
Heights House Hotel was exactly what we needed for our stay in Houston. Met a friend here for a music festival that White Oak Music Hall was hosting (in April 2022). Our original booking from a year ago was at a chain hotel a few miles down the road and they cancelled on us due to a glitch on their end and were extremely rude when we tried to fix it. No issue, we found this place and it was HALF the price and closer to where we needed to be. Stayed for 4 nights for $400 or so (total, split that in two since I was meeting a friend). Not bad at all. There's a restaurant and bar on site (Space Cowboy) which I reviewed separately since it's a separate Yelp check in (and one that apparently a lot of locals visit). But to be comprehensive, it has fairly priced drinks and decent food so that adds value to this as a place to stay. I see that HHH has really stellar Yelp and Google reviews other than a notable minority of haters. I can only attest to my stay, but based on things I've read elsewhere here's my take: *Fair prices, good for what you receive *Nice looking pool (but I didn't try it) *In-room amenities are sparse (wish there had been an in room coffee pot and fridge) *Beds are comfortable as are pillows *Great water pressure in the shower * I didn't notice a smell/odor or anything at all -- I've been to chain hotels that are non-smoking and noticed years of layered cigarette smoke odor from the walls. Did not get that at all here. *TBH, this is NOT a hotel as it is advertised, it is a motel because the doors open from your room to the parking lot. However, we felt safe as there's a sturdy fence around the entire property and you have to enter through one specific spot which is eyed by security cameras. *It was surprisingly quiet, street noise never woke me up. We stayed on the side opposite of the inner circle, as there I imagine it is noisier since the bar and pool are close to you. Felt pretty safe here to stay. *AC unit works well. *Service and check-in friendly and efficient. *Free breakfast if you need it (bagels, yogurt, granola bars, coffee) *Interesting, unique decor and atmosphere on entire property--hotel to bar and all. I'd stay again if I was staying in the Heights in Houston. Decent uber ride away from most of what you need including good music venues and great restaurants.

Yelp
The staff was cool at the bar! The vibes were chill and trendy! Love the atmosphere! Drinks were good! I had a old fashion and a drink with boba! The Crowd was laid back and bar tenders were too! Dog friendly so that was a huge plus! I wish I was hungry at the time cause the food looked good! Friendly tip! Bar opens at 4pm so don't go too early lol

Yelp
Let me start by saying I came to a HS party at this place when it was known as the Astro Inn. It smelled like old wooden roach-y walls, with hollow doors, beds you didn't wanna sit on much less sleep, but that's not why you came to Astro Inn. You came to hook-up, do drugs, and or both. Not much has changed with Heights House. Super disappointed. They slapped on some cute murals. Painted the rooms, they re-did the room floors, added smart TVS and modern headboards, but it still smells like the Astro Inn. Doubt the Sheetrock was replaced given the smell. Basically THE HHH added a pool/patio string lighted courtyard for influencers to pretend they're having a good time and that's all folks. Disclaimer: I didn't try the drinks or food so I can't attest to that. My friend and I checked into what was a double bed room and it wasn't. We were eventually moved to the correct room. Both rooms smelled like smoke, weed and etc. - assuming all rooms smell like that. The hallways and floors are super rickety. The elevator is questionable. And the curtain-light switch-door safety situation does not give off safety nor privacy. And the clientele looked super sketchy. This place is trying to be a reasonable ZaZa but not even close. If you're looking for cute, cool comfort IT AINT HERE. Courtyard Marriotts have better service and rooms. Happy travels friends.

Yelp
I had an amazing time at this hotel!! Everything about is just beautiful and the staff are very friendly. The rooms were very clean and well put together. I saw a sign that said that they'll be providing food in the near future and I can't wait until that happens! The hotel has a lot of places that you can take really cool pictures. I posted a vlog about my stay if you want to see a room tour or how the actual outside of the hotel looks. https://youtu.be/_rFqWYOc5ac

Yelp
I love the vibe of this location, the staff is very nice and friendly. It's not the type of place you'd bring your family but it's a good location if you are budget conscious and want to stay somewhere that gives you something for your money. It reminds me of the stays in Ashbury Park NJ or Fire Island NY. It's a old motel that has been given a facelift. It's very alive so if you think you'll come there and get any rest after a long travel think again. The beds aren't the most comfortable but they aren't too bad. I was a little taken aback when I got settled in my room and found that housekeeping forgot to pick up someone's underwear that was left behind. I was so exhausted I didn't have fight in me to ask for another room. It also wasn't offered to me when I took the underwear downstairs to the front desk in a plastic bag. The walls are very thin so you hear everything. But for me this wasn't necessarily all bad because if you ever travel to Ashbury Park or Fire Island you'll get a similar vibe. You just grab your drinks, your friends, and go on about your day. It's definitely a place for a fun time and not someone that's uptight looking for the four seasons experience on a tight budget. I would probably go back it just depends. The bar and restaurant area were pretty cool as well. Also housekeeping is only by request which I also found strange because when I came back to my room I found that I had fresh towels even though nothing else had been touched. The bed was a mess and everything else but they gave me fresh towels so that was strange since they clearly say they only enter and do housekeeping at your request. I didn't bother to ask them about it because none of my belongings were touched and everything of mine was still where I left it. I was also tired so I just left it alone since i was checking out next morning. So give it a try if you want to be adventurous.

Yelp
Great place to grab a drink and hang out by the pool. Bar is fantastic. Try the frozen drinks. Some of the best. Def coming back. Remember when this was an old vacant rundown motel. Glad someone did something with it creative.

Ainsley R.

Yelp
This "Hotel" was way more like a motel. The common area along with the pool and bar was cute but when you get to your actual room it goes downhill from there. My room had no hand soap, no microwave, no fridge, the shower was gross, the beds sank in when you slept and she sheets made me sweat like crazy. I also tried using the phone in the room to call the front desk and it didn't work. Very overpriced for what we got...

Yelp
Unfortunately the heights house hotel was a very big disappointment, the problems and mis information have been non stop since arrival. We called ahead and asked about the super cool Space Cowboy bar, whether it was just open for dinner or did they serve lunch and breakfast. Reply: no breakfast fast or lunch sorry, this was 2 days before arrival. Well they did not say "no bar, no restaurant period but you can come watch us destroying the space cowboy bar and filling it with TVs to become a stupid sports bar, which will not open for about a week after you leave." Update, they did have a grab and go breakfast which was nice, and did get a rudimentary bar set up a couple of days later. The hotel was way out of the way but with a bar and a pool (pool is definitely top notch) we had planned to hang out, grab a bite by the pool with a fun drink. Well forget that! Then we were in a very private moment with the do not disturb sign up. They knocked on our door four times, yes, four times! #1 "house keeping" "go away please!" #2 about 5 minutes later a different voice "house keeping" "please go away we have a do not disturb sign up" #3 about 5 minutes later still another voice "house keeping!" "What is the problem? Do you see the do not disturb sign?" "Our computers says this room is empty?" "This room is not empty! Definitely definitely not empty, we are in here and the room is not empty" #4 knocking loud, no words, so I got up and pulled the door open with my stuff hanging out. The receptionist looking very stern said in a unapologetic voice, our computer says no one is in this room, what is your name! No apology, for the staff being too stupid to enter our information the night before, no sorry to have bothered you, just a F you look and she walked away. This place must have been great in its heyday, but it is unfortunately circling the drain and run by idiots, the night staff were super nice and helpful but they did not register us in the computer. Recap, day staff bitter and lying, night staff, super nice but I hate to say incompetent. Hotel has plainly seen better days, but only a downward spiral in its future apparently. Ha! As I am writing this review, they just came to our door and knocked 2 times saying we need to redo our reservation because they lost it, the computer says we are checked out, the rude woman on the 6th time banging on a door angrily because they made a mistake, she demanded my wife come to the office right now to re register. My wife, who is recovering from a car wreck and can only walk with a rollator or cane told her, "I will text my husband and tell him to come I am not going anywhere" So I go into the office and the childish receptionist saw the look on my face and finally decided it would be best to act like a civil human being. So the next night I go talk to a night manager because for the second time our room key cards and also tell all this story hopeful she can maybe avoid this kind of stupidity for future guests. She says the receptionist had been rude to many guests before and they had gotten complaints and bad reviews because of her, sorry. So she reset my key, I thanked her, I went back to my room, and the card did not work yet again. We were in room 106, she had entered me key card for 116, what a bunch of idiots. Do not stay here. Update! I get home and they charged me for an extra room! I called and was told a manager would call me right back, no one ever called. They never removed the charge, I had to challenge it with my cc company to finally have it removed. Good luck

Yelp
f I could leave no stars I would! What a horrible experience we had!! The rooms are upgraded and decorated nice but the smell in the rooms is disgusting!!! It smells like mildew. The pool is dirty 3 of us have broken out with a rash. The staff is extremely rude. Security and staff does nothing but gossip with the DJ and stare and laugh at people! It was very uncomfortable. You must only pay with card... but let's not forget they will take cash under the table. Bucket of beer is $55 very over priced items on the menu! Homeless people are walking around everywhere's. I had high hopes for this location but unfortunately they have let me and my family down extremely!!! It's still just Astro Inn.

Yelp
My experience with this hotel was strictly customer service-related. We did not actually stay here, but I felt my interaction with the staff deserved to be pointed out. I booked a night at Heights House Hotel because my fiance and I were going to be in Houston for the night and wanted a place near the Heights. I found this hotel and was really excited to see new place, so I booked it. My fiance later told me he'd already booked a room elsewhere and paid in advance, so I decided to cancel this reservation. And that's where I ran into frustration. First of all, they have a chat feature on their website that's powered by Facebook Messenger, but they clearly don't use it. I sent a message to them last Thursday, and to this day (5 days later), I have yet to receive a reply to that message. I checked my booking on their website and did not see functionality to cancel my reservation anywhere, so I had to send them a message requesting to cancel. 48 hours later, I had not received a reply, so I decided to call on Saturday morning. A young lady answered the phone, and I told her I'd sent a message about needing to cancel and that no one had replied. She told me the hotel had an event going on, that they were very busy, but that "we'll get back to you." I felt she had a rather dismissive tone. I'm not sure how long it would have taken her to address my concern, but it was obviously more time than she could spare. She could have offered to take down my information and call me back when there was a little down time, but she didn't even so much as ask my name. By Tuesday, no one had replied to my email still, so I called again and someone finally helped me cancel my reservation. When she asked me for a cancellation reason, I really wanted to tell her it was because the staff doesn't seem to have any sense of urgency in helping a future guest, so that didn't really make me feel confident about staying there. But instead, I just told her we booked elsewhere. Based on my experience with the staff, I definitely won't ever be staying here.

Yelp
Extremely greedy with late check out, when I first checked in I asked the front desk lady who was super nice, what would constitute taking my security deposit and or what is late check out, and she said it was chill and casual, long story short I checked out at 11:03 instead of 11:00 because of a person infront of me in line and of-course they charged me late check out, don't stay here if you don't like greedy and money stealers :)

Yelp
Stayed here while at a music festival last week and it was amazing. Rooms were clean, staff was great and it felt like I was staying at someone's house for a week. I'll definitely be staying here for the fest next year.

Yelp
Celebrated a friends birthday here last night. Good vibes only is the truth. Loved all the great little photo spots throughout. The pool seemed to be a great spot to chill throughout the day. A bit too busy for my liking. It would a nice cheaper alternative for a staycation locally in Houston. The rooms may not be overly extravagant but for what I expected it was better.

Yelp
Let me start by saying Vanessa was very helpful and sweet and gave amazing customer service. Summer on the other hand was probably the worst person I have ever dealt with when it comes to service. To keep it brief, my friend was supposed to be added to my stay and should have been allowed to check in without me. Summer gave her thee hardest time and was beyond rude. I had a voucher for a free nights stay and had emailed this weeks ago. Unfortunately, the physical voucher was with me and not my friend. I tried to get on the phone and explain to Summer the situation and asked if I can give the voucher to my friend later when I saw her and she bring it to them before the night ends. Summer was dismissive, disrespectful and when I tried to ask who the manager was (because I thought that's who I talked with originally) she proceeded to say "it doesn't matter" Neither my friend or I could get 2 words out as she was talking over us. All in all, the room was horrible! Felt like there was bugs flying around and still gave run down motel vibes. We will never be back.

Yelp
This place was great. The manager was really helpful as well. Even if you don't stay here you can still get a pool pass and enjoy the water with a drink!

Yelp
My husband I stayed the night here. It was NYE so it was a party. Great drinks, attentive and nice staff. Our room was artsy and comfortable. Great place to stay for a fun weekend getaway, long term or just to come watch a game and eat from their restaurant Space Cowboy. The food is innovative and delicious. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
The staff were super awesome and friendly and the hotel was comfortable and clean. It is a renovated, older hotel and does have that lived in feel. Very chill vibe and the bar there, Space Cowboy, was great! It was awesome being able to get that "going out" feeling while never having to leave the hotel property. I appreciate the hotel's commitment to reducing waste too - I hate the wasteful single use shampoo bottles and things most places have. Heights House does have toiletries like any other but are in refillable bottles instead. The location was convenient too. I would not recommend this place to anyone wanting a crisp, fancy, brand new hotel feel - this is not that place. But if you're looking for a fun, down-to-earth, chill place to stay, this is a great spot. We definitely will be back!

Yelp
That decor they are using is old Hard Rock Hotel & Casino decor. This place literally bought used crap and put it in the rooms. Feel like they could have at least put in new mattresses though; those things are super warn. Pretty sure they are infested too- we have all developed a rash since staying there and highly suspect its because of this place. Yep, this place, that charges double what you'd expect to spend at a place so ran down. Oh yeah, the makeshift repairs you'll see around the property are somewhere between hilarious and creative. We only stayed here because others in our group thought it would be fun. I can think of funner ways to spend my money than give it to a company that refuses to put some of it to their upkeep for a better customer experience. Oh yeah, damn this rash itches. Reading other reviews now, looks like others have fell victim to this. Very concerning.

Yelp
Looks can be deceiving - Nothing special. Staff were not friendly or welcoming. Never stayed at a $200 a night hotel with no coffee no complimentary breakfast not hot tub no fridge no microwave - nothing but a bed and tv. Rip OFF. They did not acknowledge us at all. Front desk was short & Sus - he wouldn't even make eye contact with us - guess he's too good for paying customers - he should be fired he's a dirtbag or maybe he was too busy on his phone. No complimentary breakfast and a little coffee and tea only from 6-11- the morning checkout ladies were nice. Bar area is closed pool area is closed they charged $100 for our cat to stay per night, every hotel that is pet friendly we have ever stayed at has NEVER charged a dime for our cat - very misleading won't be back - motel 6 doesn't charge for pets and they have updated almost every property and cost less - Yea it has some nice photo ops but you don't have to stay here to get the photos. I do applause the sustainable toiletries and room was well designed and clean - but we have stayed at just as nice clean and comfortable motel 8s in the middle of nowhere for a better price and they didn't charge for the cat! Parking in the back wasn't allowed in the spot we liked they made us move our vehicle and we don't like being so far from our car. They do have cameras on the property as well as public safety hazards - rows of cinder blocks and wood shards in the parking lot --- questionable storage no cones or safety tape around it - No refrigerator no microwave so not great if you plan to eat while you're here and like leftovers. Even motel 6 which costs less has a microwave and fridge! The art is cool but the experience blew. They didn't even respond to us on social media or bother working with us on the cat fee. Super rude. I have a huge tiktok account I would've promoted them on and a travel Instagram but I don't promote dousches - it is a no smoking property so you have to go all the way to the sidewalk to smoke if you want but still our room had the aroma of pot ?!!!! Ewwwwwwww and then the water bottles we can get at sams club $15 for a 20 pack are $5 a bottle in the room! Rip off! No complimentary breakfast bar for the price they set low is the bar... set the bar higher if you want to charge these prices. SMH - P.S. they said their showers were put in backwards - we had to call the front desk because the water wouldn't get hot and then he said oh no turn it to cold and the. It finally got warm... wow. Oh and then when I went to shower the condition was EMPTY! Flkkkk left me in a predicament. Smh the sheets are paper thing and blankets like cardboard

Yelp
Four and a half out of five It's a great hotel with a very cool vibe. I've driven across the country with my dog and there are not many hotels like this out there. It can get a little loud as they have a pool with live music and a bar which is super nice but also can cause noise. It's a dog hotspot however they don't have a pet relief area which many hotels that accept pets have. The manager is extremely sweet and helpful. Her charisma and her desire to help those coming out of New Orleans is admirable. I will say that they could exercise better business practices. However, this is definitely a place to stay if you want some cool vibes, a pool, bar, and a pet friendly space with nice employees.

Yelp
Bartender tried to charge me $19 for a Bloody Mary. I complained to another bartender who gave me a new price while the original one (the female) defended the original price. Never spending another dollar here.

Yelp
This hotel should change their name back to motel. When checking in the staff was very helpful and pleasant. The property was a mess. Claimed to have outdoor area but it was all a mess and not a enjoyable space. The bathroom was filthy (other guest hair in it). And the pillows were horrible. Nice people but bad space. I'm bummed! I was excited to try a new place.

Yelp
The hotel is a MOTEL 6 playing dress up. Bathroom had hair in tub and bed sleeps like there's straw in the mattress. If I had it to do over again I would definitely not stay at this Motel!!! Do I have to give this Motel a star???

Yelp
First off we started off not knowing where to check in at ... we called the front office and they kinda directed us to where there was located at . Space cowboys was great , great food and drinks .. now the hotel was bad ,, our room was nasty . Sticky counter top , once we woke up in the Morning we found bed bugs in our bed !!! Ewww 2 big bed bugs ... we called front office and informed them of what we have saw , video tape . They sent a maintenance man up . We showed him a the videos of the bed bugs and he checked the beds and we even saw more nasty brown stains on the bed . The maintenance man left and afterwards we got a call from Sam the front office person saying that they were not gonna switch our rooms and they were not gonna do anything about the room but for us to stay in our room !!! they were making it seem like we brought the bed bugs , we checked in at 9 pm that night and headed straight to the space cowboy ls bar and lounge and went to sleep at 1am something . I know how bed bugs work and that's not enough time for that .... We got another call from sam once I explained to her that I was not gonna stay in my room and that something needed to be done about this ... sam called us back a couple minutes later telling us that once the hotel manager comes on hotel grounds he will need to talk to us and they were moving us to another room .. like why must I act out to get results ... smh we asked for a iron and board once we got in our new room which we never received, our shower never got hot water smfh ..finally we had to go to the front office to ask for the manager once we did he never came out and told the ladies in the front to give us payment for one night . There were two ladies in the front the First Lady was great she was brand new so she asked us to wait for the other lady who has been here for a while to help us .. This lady was the rudest person I have met .. I think there was some racial issues there .. once she refunded our one night she just walked off , as if she was annoyed by us smh . I had to ask her what was the amount being refunded back to my card smfh . Once again this is my first and last time at this hotel never again . Every one look for something better this place is not worth your money !!!!

Yelp
We are not from the area and this hotel is NOTHING like the photos online. It is in a rough area of town and provides zero security. This is a SCAM, DO NOT stay here.

Bailey G.

Yelp
Awful experience. Multiple problems that were not remedied well and felt the way they advertise is very misleading compared to the quality of the rooms and service. They also charge $20 per day per person for the pool. Insane. Would not go back or recommend it to anyone.

Yelp
The rooms are small but cute. It's updates have really improved the aesthetic. The beds are very comfortable and all the pillows are obviously new. I wish they had better lighting in the rooms and mini fridges as a standard.

Yelp
This is such a fun place to stay. The Space Cowboy bar is so cute and the food and drinks are really good! The rooms are nice and reasonably priced and the staff is so friendly. I can't wait to stay here again!

Yelp
super cute & trendy new hotel! love the ambiance and decor! rooms are newly renovated and super cute. the most comfy hotel bed i have ever slept in! the bathroom was spotless! my room had the perfect lighting! the courtyard had plenty of seating to sit and chat with friends. the best part was hanging out by the pool! it had a really cool and chill vibe to just lay out and relax. 10/10 recommended would def stay again!!!

Yelp
Great place for a staycation if you're in the Houston area. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, beds are comfy, and the food and drinks from Space Cowboy are worth a trip alone. We did have a little hiccup with the use of the pool (our main reason for visiting). I completely understand maintenance has to be done, however most hotels service their pools outside of the hours of use so it's ready for guests the next day. We had multiple days where there were hours of delay, and it just felt a little unorganized overall. We will definitely be back, but just wanted to offer a tip on how to enhance the guest experience.
