"Action-packed Hellshire Beach, the easy beach choicefor many Kingston residents, islined with dozens of wooden food shacks. Aunt May’s is a solid pick for a classic Jamaican beachside meal, serving fresh fish with festival (fried dumplings) or bammy (cassava flour flatbread), lobster, and other seafood.Hellshire is particularly busy on weekends, when locals take a break from their workweek, and sees relatively few tourists, so it has an authentic Jamaican vibe like few other beaches."

We went on a Thursday to celebrate an anniversary and it was a pleasant experience, the staff and the welcome was genuine. We were not rushed and was told to make ourselves comfortable which we did before selecting our meal from the menu and choosing which fish crab lobster or whatever you wanted prepared to enjoy and it was well worth the wait.

Took a quick escape to Hellshire Beach, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was lively, and the food? Absolutely top-tier! Prendy's crayfish/conch, and fish soups were bursting with flavor 😋 We also grabbed some steamed and fried fish, paired with festivals and plantains—delicious, even if that vendor's name slipped my mind 🙃 Pro tip: Always pick your fish, watch the weighing process, and do your own calculations. Keeps things smooth! 😉

Screachue Lynn and Blacka...... Thank you for great mornings.... I have a $tip for Blacka. I will not forget. Morning swims and prayers behind Lynns and Screachies restaurant can not be beat. Nothing charges your batteries to take on the day more than an early morning prayer and swim before the best breakfast we had in Jamaica - twice in 2 days.

Hellshire Beach is a hidden gem in Jamaica, and its beachfront restaurants offer an unforgettable dining experience that combines delicious food, vibrant atmosphere, and breathtaking views. One of the highlights of visiting Hellshire is the opportunity to enjoy fresh, locally caught seafood while soaking in the laid-back vibes of this coastal paradise. The beachfront restaurants here are known for their mouthwatering dishes, particularly the fried fish and bammy (a traditional Jamaican cassava flatbread), which are cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The food is not only delicious but also affordable, making it a favorite among both locals and tourists. The atmosphere at Hellshire Beach is truly special. As you dine, you can watch local fishermen bringing in their daily catch, a reminder of the community’s deep connection to the sea. The rhythmic sounds of reggae or dancehall music often fill the air, adding to the lively and authentic Jamaican vibe. The restaurants are casual and open-air, allowing you to feel the ocean breeze and take in the stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. As the day winds down, the sunset over Hellshire Beach is nothing short of magical, painting the sky in hues of orange, pink, and purple—a perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. Whether you’re enjoying a plate of freshly grilled lobster, sipping on a cold Red Stripe beer, or simply relaxing with friends and family, Hellshire Beach offers a quintessential Jamaican experience. The combination of great food, good music, and the natural beauty of the beach makes it a must-visit destination. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, indulge in local cuisine, and create lasting memories, Hellshire Beach and its beachfront restaurants should be at the top of your list. Nice and interesting place. Infrastructure could be better. Chairs and stuff were very ram-down.

It's been quite a few years since my last visit to Hellshire, and I'm happy to see how it's developed over time. It's much cleaner. If you're planning to visit, you'll find plenty of wood lounge chairs near the restaurants in a shaded area. There are tons of options available to purchase fresh seafood. I can't remember the name of the restaurant that I purchased my fish but it was excellent. I'm looking forward to another visit.

Depends on which day you go to this place and also where you stay and enjoy your fish, but, nice chilling place to be. Watch out for padded bills and dishonesty, it's everywhere!!!
