The Best Vietnamese Restaurants in Philly

"The Philly area’s chicest Vietnamese restaurant is located over the Ben Franklin Bridge in a strip mall in South Jersey. Inspired by his mother’s professional recipes, Hên chef Andrew Ma plates photo-ready versions of bánh xèo, rice crepes with minced pork belly and shrimp — and canh chua ca, a soup of slow-cooked fish, pineapples, and tomatoes in a tangy tamarind broth." - Ella Lilja Peterson

Their food are soooo good! We had the lemongrass soup and grilled pork slices. Serving is big, very worth the price and it’s not even expensive! The meals are flavorful and amazing. The people working there were nice and friendly too. Will definitely go back again, excited to try their other dishes! :)

It's hidden in a strip mall but deserves all the stars for good food and courteous staff We had Banh Xeo- steamed rice cakes with shrimp-black bean sauce. Devoured in seconds😋 Steak pho was awesome Stir fried chicken with lemongrass yummy The lemonades were blindingly sweet tho. We didn't like those Our server was this polite, smiling guy he made our experience great. Will definitely be back

Food was delicious!!! We loved our meal staff was friendly and warm would highly recommend

Decided to give this restaurant a try with my friends since they had good reviews. Don't know how... because the soups taste like boiled water. Straight boiled water. We paid close to $30 for a bowl of boiled water. They charge you an extra $4 for "Deluxe" Bun Bo Hue and an extra $6 for toppings but don't tell you or list it on the menu. You just have a nice surprise when you get the check. None of this would've mattered if the food tasted good, but it wasn't even close. I would've had a better meal at McDonalds even if their cashier threw the mcnuggets in my face. Don't recommend this place whatsoever. Especially if you're Asian and you're used to actually good BBH.

Google
Decent viet food joint. Got the pork chop over rice, the pork chop could be a bit more tender but it was flavorful. My friend got the BBH which looked great. Wong were actually pretty good and pork summer roll was good also. Strong coffee

Love the food, the staffs and the owners. Owners are extremely outgoing and friendly. My first time there and it felt very welcoming. The food is delicious and very authentic. Bánh khọt was my favorite. The Vietnamese coffee is good and strong, just how I like it. The decor is nice and the one thing I like so much are Bruce Lee picture decors. At first I thought it was because the owners were fans but it was more for Bruce Lee’s philosophy. Overall, the food is very full-filling and I love that I finally found a Vietnamese restaurant that is worth my half an hour drive.

Exciting times with friends. Had the opportunity to meet Cindy, the owner. That's always a plus when you're blessed with the presence of the owner. The first dish was the fried shrimp. A crispy taste of heaven. When you can actually taste the shrimp, you know it's great. Then, a circle of joy steamed clams on a plate of greens. Ok, we are greedy. You know I can't go to Vietnamese without the inspirational fried chicken drums. Perfect chicken drums served hot. We preshowed the top off with the beef Pho deluxe. Ohhh, it's BYOB, too, so a great red wine makes it a perfect evening with friends. Cindy served us some tasty fries, but of course, they would go great with short rib. Wait, wait, we needed the bok choy because we were on our carnivore moment and needed those veggies. To finish it off, we indulge in the salmon. Which was total FIYAHH. You all know how I love my Vietnamese food. And how picky I am. Don't mess around and not find out how great Hên Vietnamese really is. Get over there and tell Cindy Chef Jules sent you. I highly recommend the salmon.

Google
The foods are above average. The banh beo is good and it can be better if they used dried shrimp. Bún bò Huế is ok, very bland for my taste even though it looks delicious. The service is excellent . 5* for nice and clean restaurant

Yelp
I got the Ba Vi with beef wrapped with grape leaves. The food was well presented. It was delicious especially wrapped with the rice paper and all the vegetables. It was a decent bite. I do wish they provided more pickled vegetables/jalapeños to allow for more customization. I would say it was filling for one person and it was very affordable ($14). Personally, I WOULD NOT recommend the pho or BBH. I didn't feel like it compared to the Philly pho or BBH. I think their entrees and broken rice are the way to go here. This restaurant is well decorated, clean, and spacious! The service was good, mostly small points. For example, missing utensils/cups/napkins. They accidentally smeared a side of a birthday cake we bought which wasn't a big deal. They do light the candles, play music, and provide plates and utensils! I would come back here again for sure.

Yelp
What a gem!! Totally worth the destination date night drive!! The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and clean. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, if you are not familiar with the cuisine. But the food itself... one of the best pho broths I have had. They take their time to develop flavors and it does not go unnoticed. I also appreciated the quality meats that were available. The carpaccio was a perfect light taste against the pho, and again quality of the meat was on point. Only note would be I wish I could have added a couple of prawns to my pho, but they only sold them in packages of 6, and that's a lot if you are already getting beef, for just one person. But if sharing a great option. Overall, highly recommend and worth the drive. Unexpected for the location, so don't turn away.

Yelp
Amazing food and even more amazing service! I have heard so many good places about Hen's, but I never wanted to make the trip out across the bridge. I'm so glad that I was in the area and all my cousins recommended me to just go to Hen's. Thankfully I came at an off time, because my kids were a little crazy. But, Sang (owner) makes sure to take care of you like family. He made sure to let you know the kids weren't an issue and kids were just being kids. Aside from that, the food honestly taste so fresh and the flavors were so familiar. If you want authentic viet food and great service/company, be sure to stop by Hen! Everything that I've tried on the menu was so good! I definitely will stop by again when I'm craving great viet food and when I'm in the area.

Yelp
stopped in for the first time for takeout. I asked for recommendation from the hostess and was told to get the stirfry filet mignon. It comes with white rice. Once at home, it was a huge mound of white rice and not a lot of the entrée or sauce. I am not a big eater and I thought with the price point of over $20. I was going to have some and leave some for my wife when she gets home. I ate the entire thing, lol, because it was delicious & there wasn't a lot to eat. Four stars are for the food, I would've given it five if it was a bigger portion. You could count the pieces of meat, but it was absolutely well-seasoned and tender. I'm keenly aware of the increased price of everything in the world, perhaps that's the best they can do with offering filet mignon, I don't know. I would've taken more onion more anything. Add some vegetables to it, I don't know, but bulk it up. I had to pull out soy sauce because on top of it being such a small amount of the entrée there was barely any sauce. I have high blood pressure. I'm actually on medication for it, I don't pull out additional salt for food. But I need something to choke down this white rice. I am absolutely returning, and now that I've been there, I know how to temper my expectations.

Yelp
Driving through Cherry Hill and looking for a place for lunch. Found Hen Vietnamese Eatery on Yelp with decent reviews and decided to give it a try. It is located in a strip mall with easy parking. It was not too busy on a Saturday early afternoon but had some Vietnamese customers, so it was a good sign. The restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. The only thing annoying was that they kept the door open and there were flies flying around in the restaurant. Ordered a bowl of Pho with Beef Balls and Beef Brisket, Caramelized Swai in Clay Pot which came with a bowl of rice, and Sugar Cane Shrimp Paste Skewer which came with lettuce and rice paper for wrapping. Food was very good. The pho broth was clean and tasty. I especially enjoyed the Sugar Cane Shrimp Paste with the wraps. Service was good. Food took a little bit to arrive, but they came kinda all together. Prices were very affordable and reasonable. Overall it's a pretty good Vietnamese restaurant.

Yelp
Modern Viet eatery. Food is decent. Their menu has a lot of items that a typical Viet pho place does not have. Decent sized portions.
google avatar

Victoria T.

Yelp
Banh beo has good flavor but it was a bit too thick. Bo ne was good, especially with the baguette. Banh khot has a nice crisp but it was overpowered with the flavor of coconut. Wings have good flavor but felt like it was a bit overcooked. Overall, some items are a hit or miss but not bad. Portion sizes were good, service was tentative.
google avatar

Melanie T.

Yelp
Great Vietnamese restaurant, with traditional Vietnamese offerings like pho, broken rice, and also had banh beo and banh khot which I normally don't find at most restaurants. Both were really good, would come back just for those items!
google avatar

Yelp
The staffs are very nice inside and very attentive. The place itself has nice decor and a good amount of table. Once we got in on a Saturday night it was a full house but the wait time was only 5 mins. The lychee limeade was very good and refreshing. The two appetizer were delicious. The grilled clams were very juicy and the raw beef (Bò Tái Chanh) was very fresh. But .... The two noodle dishes were a little disappointing. The bun rieu and the bun bo hue taste very water down. We can smell and taste a hint of what the soup tastes like but the broth wasn't strong at all like how me and my husband are use to. We would go back if only we want the drink or appetizer but unfortunately not the entree. In addition the prices here are more expensive then the average Vietnamese restaurant

Yelp
Came for lunch a few weeks ago since we were in Jersey. We started with the Hen fries to share, and I ordered the caramelized swai clay pot $16. The prices here are definitely higher than Philly/South Philly Viet spots The fries are perfectly fried, possibly double fried, but probably not worth the $10 IMO - couldn't taste any saffron in their saffron aoli dip. The swai was really delicious, perfectly flakey - and the caramelized sauce was very good - perfect pairing to a bowl of white rice. I do wish the entree was served with some sort of vegetable - but overall I enjoyed the meal. Hen was really cute inside, but service was slow and lacking on our visit, although friendly. I wouldn't go out of my way to go to Hen being from Philly, but we had a solid lunch on our visit
google avatar

Cathy W.

Yelp
It's my first time here since they opened (maybe about 5yrs ago?). It is a bit more upscale Viet restaurant if you compare to those in South Philly or Philly areas. Hence, their price is slightly higher as well. Tbh, their food quality and taste, in my opinion seems mediocre. Definitely not the best Viet cuisine I've had. They definitely got the look, but not the taste. And for the price they charge, I would expect more from them. I am definitely paying for their service more than the food. Food: 3 stars Service: 4 stars

Yelp
The Cherry Hill area has several excellent Vietnamese restaurants, but our favorite is Hên, which was recommended by Craig LaBan, restaurant critic of the Philadelphia Inquirer. They serve several variations of the Bánh Mi, all of which are delicious. One of my favorite dishes is the Cá Kho To, caramelized fish (salmon or tilapia) in a clay pot. Lunch today was Co'm Cá Hòi, perfectly grilled salmon served with Jasmine rice, cucumber, tomatoes, pickled daikon, and carrots. Everything was fresh and attractively presented. A small pitcher of their delectable homemade fish sauce added a new dimension to the Jasmine rice. Service was friendly, efficient, and helpful. Located in a strip mall, the restaurant's interior is a pleasant, inviting room.

Yelp
This place has been on my go-to list since moving to South Jersey two years ago. Ambiance was nice. Customer service was great. Got seated right away. And they checked in from time to time. I ordered the Seafood Pho - broth was ok. Definitely needed fish sauce. The dish was also missing crab meat and I'm not a fan of bok choy in my seafood pho. But it was decent. The hubby ordered the Hen Pho, which looked amazing. We also ordered the beef in grape leaves and wrapped our own summer rolls - always my favorite and very tasty. The iced coffee was perfect! Just how I like it. I will definitely be back to try other things. Total came to $61 not including tip.

Yelp
Pho broth tastes bland....I had to add table salt to the broth....beef balls were good though. Charge extra for credit card payment. Service and environment was good.
google avatar

Yelp
Food is great but I've had my issues with customer service. Several times I've gone in asking for a booth seat and several times they wouldn't allow me despite my complaints. They stated they're "saving it for a bigger party". However a few customers in later they let them sit in the booths and I was livid. I've had bruises the next day from their cheap uncomfortable metal chairs. Again food is good, but come on. Do better.
google avatar

Yelp
So good and fresh. We've dined here and gotten takeout a few times. Food is consistently good. You can never go wrong with their pho and bahmi. Pictures are some more unusual items we tried tonight that were excellent: grilled clams, mi quang with a side of grilled chicken thigh, and vermicelli with crispy veggies rolls and grilled shrimp.
google avatar

Yelp
Hen is my GO-TO pho spot in mount laurel NJ that I have been going to every week for a year now. It's easy to say this is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants with a specialty in pho. The broth is rich and flavorful and the noodles are always cooked to perfection with a generous portion. The pho special comes with ALL the meats and you get ALOT. For $16, you get your money's worth and more. The service is ALWAYS great and the water gets refilled constantly. The ambiance is decorated nicely and the restrooms are always cleaned. *BONUS: the hen wings are DELICIOUS CRUNCHY and JUICY, share them or have them by yourself I'm not judging

Darsha M.

Yelp
Ordered take out from Hen Vietnamese Eatery on a Friday night and was told it would take 25 minutes. When I arrived, the place was packed and lively, wish I dined in instead. I ordered the vegetarian spring roll and the tofu bahn mi. The bahn mi was excellent! It was spicy but so refreshing with the cucumber and packed with flavor. The spring roll itself was nice but the sauce that came with it was overwhelmingly sour and had an odd taste.
google avatar

Mary S.

Yelp
Service was attentive and friendly. Bun bo hue was light in flavor and spice but overall good. Friends got the pho and it was just okay. Vermicelli bowl (Hen's special and another one) was good and filling. Plain Garlic noodles was good and pork chops over rice was good as well. Durian smoothie was fresh and tasty. Also the mango smoothie and strawberry smoothie was good. Made from fresh fruit and not powder. Interior is small but was able to accommodate our large party of 10+. Overall 4 out of 5 stars.
google avatar

Uyen N.

Yelp
Bánh bèo is a little too thick, has mung beans. Bánh khọt is not crispy at all, and adding some coconut milk on it is pretty interesting. Bún bò is super spicy, and both are like not that great, too much broth. Egg roll is okay.

Yelp
I went here after some retail therapy with my mom. .it sits in a plaza on rte 70..e..I was pleasantly surprised & had nice ambiance & was very good.we.split. Pork chops rice platter & summer rolls..it was really good. Return factor: definitely

Yelp
Very good food and good service Vietnamese Phở , Grilled pork vermicelli with rice and pork ribs and pork skin is very delicious.
google avatar

Arianna P.

Yelp
Food was good but if something is sent back to kitchen and replaced with another entree, it should have been removed from the check since only one bite visibly taken. After ordering two apps, multiple drinks and entrees & something to go, it's common courtesy to remove a dish that was not liked from the bill. Customer service was great until the dish was sent back, after that, no one checked on us and we sat waiting for the check & item that was ordered to go.

Yelp
Crossing the bridge into New Jersey to try this Vietnamese restaurant, I didn't expect much. Maybe being from Philly, very biased towards best is in south Philly. It's good to go with a group so you can order family style and try many different things. Dishes were banh beo, clams, fried fish, prawn sour soup, salmon clay pot, and Bo luc lac. It was so amazing, intense flavors, the sauces, everything just went so well together. Another plus, it s a byob! Bring your favorite drinks and enjoy

Yelp
Very good tasting Vietnamese food. Staff is very friendly snf knowledgeable, variety of menu options to choose from, and a nice ambiance inside. Prices are reasonable

Yelp
Gave this place another chance. The food is pretty good. The service has improved. We got all of our food. We ordered at a less busy time. There are times when the business is close so I would check hours of operation prior to stopping by.

Michelke K.

Yelp
Clean, casual, good service, and amazing food that was a great value! When I arrived there were just a few customers. I was alone and engrossed in my book as I ate. When I looked up the place was packed and there was a line to get in. I told my server I would try to finish so they could turn the table - they had seated me at a four top. My server told me to take my time and enjoy! It was very sincere. I would 100% go back and highly recommend it!

Yelp
Finally got the chance to review this place after having been here before. The first time we came was during a week day, we were kind of disappointed they didn't have a couple of the stuff on their menu that we wanted to try. So we decided to give it one more try on a Saturday night. We wanted to come before the rush, place is not as big it's a decent size. Great service! The food was AMAZING, every dish we got did not disappoint!! I'm glad we got to give it another try and would love to come back!
google avatar

Phylicia H.

Yelp
The food and service here stays consistent. I love this place and would really recommend it for lunch and dinner. Great portion size, reasonable prices and amazing flavors. The Bo luc lac is my fav and the order I've been getting lately. The meat is extremely tender and the marinade is delicious. Paired with rice and occasionally a fried egg tops it off. The grilled pork slice is also outstanding! I recently tried the bun rieu, which was different and soothing for a rainy or sick day. The waiter failed to tell me what was inside when I asked since the menu doesn't say much. The only thing I couldn't eat were the pork blood cubes in the soup. I've visited this restaurant close to 10x and can't wait to return and try more new dishes!
google avatar

Ilene S.

Yelp
I was so excited about my first experience at Hen's that I highly recommended going there with my family. I understand it was a Saturday night and they were very busy so waiting 20 minutes for a table wasn't too bad. However from there it went downhill. I felt completely ignored for the first 15-20 minutes after sitting down. I had to wave down two different servers to ask for water which at that time we ordered an appetizer while looking over the menu and figuring out what we wanted to order. Again no one stopped by our table to ask if we had any questions or if we were ready to order. I understand they looked short staffed but other tables were being spoken to and tables who sat down after us got there food before we even got our appetizer. The food itself lacked the flavor from my first experience. Overall very disappointing. If we go back it won't be on a weekend. The biggest disappointment was the lack of interest in our table, the lack of apology
google avatar

Edmund D.

Yelp
I love this place! They have the best selection of appetizers, rice dishes and noodles. The staffs are friendly especially the owners. I would highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Yelp
Oooooo-M-Geeeee!!! All I had was a tofu Bahn mi as I was in a hurry, but it hit the spot. I was starving but I don't think that was why it was delicious. It was my first time having a bahn mi like this, different than the usual pickled veggies, n cilantro. I'm not complaining tho because it was a delightful surprise. I can't wait to get another one and to try something different.
google avatar

Esther L.

Yelp
We enjoyed our meal here. The grilled clams appetizer was delicious. We haven't had anything like this before. My husband loved the ĐẶC BIỆT (SPECIAL). I liked my hen pho- it wasn't as flavorful though but maybe it was just an off night? Service was good. The ambiance was nice. We would definitely go back, esp for the clams!

Yelp
I hAvE nOthiNg bUt amazing things to say from the food I ordered which was way way too much fOOd from the Zen atmosphere they offered right from the entryway which is truly my favorite in all establishments. The severs all new the menus frontwards and backwards and that to ME is my favorite in ANY restaurant when the product specialists truly KNOW what they are talking ABOUT and what to recommend! I ordered the #5 which is the Chicken Garlic & rice with egg plate and my friend ordered the Grilled Chicken with Rice and all the flavors just BuRsT in YoUr MoUtH ! GET ReADY y'all !! You WILL have plenty for there and to take home and if you have room for tea even better because it's a beautiful addition at the end and great for the tummy ! This was truly an exquisite experience and I would recommend going earlier in day because it's a small establishment and it filled up quickly ! The service was quick and no nonsense - not lots of chit chat but we didn't wait long for our food or for our check and that's alright - we were their for some amazing food and fun TV watching and we got it !
google avatar

Mickey M.

Yelp
My favorite thing on the menu is the bot tai chanh, which is sort of like a beef carpaccio. But everything we ordered here was very good. My only complaint is that the sauces they made were all on the sweet side. I love fish sauce and found the fish sauce to be very sweet. Aside from that, service was great and food came out quick and piping hot. We didn't try their pho or rice dishes but their appetizers were spot on.
google avatar

Teng W.

Yelp
I tried to give them 2 stars but i really CANTTTTTT....1) talking about the food....i ordered beef pho (3 toppings, tripes, tendons, crunchy beef), the meats was horrible...tripes are DRY...tendons were small...crunchy beef (speechless) becomes rubbery chewy beef.....the spring roll was over fried on the outside and inside were still a pink, the server did took it off the bill and replace a new one but the outcome is still the same (see picture). The seafood pho was bad, no taste. The only thing i can give a good comment was the porkchop rice, nice big portion for a reasonable price. Service - so so. Atmosphere - not bad.

Yelp
Back in the summer I was told I had to come try this place if I liked Vietnamese cuisine. So, my best friend and I made plans on a week night and made the drive to find out they were unexpectedly closed. Finally, four months later, we decided to try again. The place was pretty crowded but we were seated quickly. The seats are very low and uncomfortable, but I was so excited I didn't care. Waters were brought over after we had a chance to peruse the menu and we also ordered limeade to start, lychee for me and strawberry for him. As an appetizer we decided to do one of their fusion options and went with the Hen fries. Our server brought over silverware just for my friend and none for me. We figured it was an oversight. Our drinks had not arrived yet, but they were busy and we figured they were on the way. The fries arrived pretty quickly and were hot and crispy with fresh cilantro, parmesan cheese, and aioli. We were super excited to see what the rest of our dinner would bring. Our drinks still had not arrived when our server brought out my CƠM THỊT NƯỚNG, which is grilled sliced pork with rice, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, carrots, and daikon. It looked fantastic but I didn't want to dig in until my friend had his entree. His MÌ BÒ KHO, braised beef stew with egg noodle, arrived about ten mins or so later. We finally were able to enjoy our entrees, but still didn't receive our drinks or silverware for me. My bestie gave me his fork and knife and he used the spoon since he had what was basically pho. The broth on his was insanely greasy and lacking flavor, while mine was good. I ordered the same thing I get in many Vietnamese restaurants and it is pretty difficult to not do well since it's so simple. It seemed like they were really struggling with service on this particular evening. I wish I had a chance to experience it when the servers weren't completely in the weeds. Unfortunately, I don't see myself making the trip anytime soon since it's not close by and wasn't the best first experience. My best friend and I agreed we'd give it 3.5 stars but since we can't do half stars we are going with 3 this time.

Yelp
Amazing food, service and ambiance. Went here with my family over the holidays and the owner was so incredibly kind and welcoming. Every dish we ordered was flavorful and plenty, and prices reasonable. Will definitely be returning. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I am so glad that I got up and made the trip across the bridge to visit this restaurant. It is located in a strip mall where there is plenty of parking. It is not that huge inside but has ample seating and on a Friday night it was pretty busy. The hostess who may also have been the owner was very nice, she welcomed us, we were seated right away and had menus right away as well. Our server came over and took our drink orders, we ordered a lime strawberry drink and a pot of tea. The hot tea was delicious and they even brought a small container of simple syrup in case we wanted to sweeten the tea. The menu is extensive. Be prepared to read. After going through the entire menu we made our selections. We decided to keep it familiar and ordered stir fried garlic noodles with fillet mignon, spring rolls, coconut shrimp, and a rice platter with grilled pork chops and pickled vegetables. The portions were more than enough and the food was delicious. I especially love the flavor of the garlic noodles and the fillet mignon. It was chopped in bite-size pieces but was not dry. The pork chop platter came with the two generous pieces of pork chop and they were both well seasoned and very good. I would definitely return to dig further into the menu. The owners of the restaurant were really nice and helpful when making selections.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem!!! The food is as good as it gets and the owners are the best! Great looking g spot with fantastic fresh food options. The gilet mignon banh mi is incredible.... so good.

Yelp
So, the first time coming was definitely a major fluke bc this time was so much better. Although they were out of a salad I wanted, they did have the other items plus the service and food was great. Banh beo - delicious. The dough was perfect texture and the fish sauce that came with it was so flavorful. Hu tieu bam vang - broth was light yet delicious. The liver in it was very dry, so that was tough to eat, but the remaining ingredients were fresh (even the quail eggs) Banh mi thit nuong- I had mine with pork. Pork was flavorful, bread was crispy on the outside n soft on the inside, however they did use a bit too much butter for my liking. Price is a tad high, but I'm assuming it's bc of the location. Overall - would come back again. I'm glad I gave it another shot

Yelp
Such good pho! So happy to have this place so closeby and my go to pho spot. Speedy service and food comes out super hot! They were generous in the amount of meat that was present in the pho.

Yelp
I love Vietnamese food. I've been wanting to try this place ever since they opened, Unfortunately I didn't get in the first time. I came on the day that they closed for a private event. This time my out of town friends visited, on our way back from Wildwood beach, we stopped by for dinner. And oh my! I am impressed, their food were absolutely amazing. The tastes and presentation were on point. We ordered pretty much everything on the menu lol. They were delicious, especially the grilled clams, the BEST! A must try! My favorite was the dipping sauce (Nuoc Mam) and Mam Nem sauce were spot on! not like at any other Vietnamese restaurants, I find it was too bland. But here, they were perfectly sweet, sour and a little kick of spicy. The chef told us they're making everything from scratch here that's why it's fresh and so flavorful. And the portion is huge with reasonable prices. However, we were a bit disappointed, because we didn't get to try Banh Beo that day. They were out. It's also another popular dish that must try here. Overall, we had the best time here. Owners and staffs are super friendly and very attentive. Excellent services, food came out very quickly. This small restaurant is definitely a hidden gem in Cherry Hill. I highly recommend anyone who love Vietnamese food as much as myself should come eat here! You won't be disappointed! This is the place to go for authentic Vietnamese comfort food. Photos credited: Mr. Foodie

Yelp
I was craving some good Vietnamese food so I came here for a quick bite to eat with my classmates Food: Let me start off by saying I had never tried any of the Vietnamese food that I tried today... and everything that I ate was a hit. For appetizers, we ordered the Banh Beo and Banh Khot which was easily shared among 4 people. Super savory and flavorful, getting my stomach pumped for the main course. Normally, I order pho on any first visit to a Vietnamese restaurant but this Mi Kho really impressed me. The egg noodles had a nice density to them while all the toppings (ground pork, shrimp, quail egg, and dressing) really made the flavor of this dish pop. The side soup had a really nice umami to it and was nice to sip in between mouthfuls of noodle. I had dragon's breath afterwords but I think it was worth it. Service: Our server was very polite and friendly. He gave us a lot of time to decide on our order and patiently answered any questions we had about the menu items. Our orders seemed to come in within 10-15 minutes and the attention to detail of each dish and its presentation really stood out. Ambiance: I really liked the vibes of this place. The staff were very attentive and considerate of our group. We took our time ordering without feeling rushed and even had another member join in a little later without an issue. Very friendly people.

Yelp
Food is very good and authentic, never had a bad meal here and service always on point. Cool decor for a strip mall.

Yelp
Certainly my favorite Vietnamese place in town. I've traveled extensively throughout Asia, and hands down, Vietnam was one of my favorite places to explore, and certainly the cuisine is remarkable. Inside ambiance is quirky, fun and fresh. Plenty and roomy seating. And when there's 3 out of 4 Yelpers at the table, there's gonna be some serious photo taking and food discussion. Ilene adventurously picked the Banh Beo, which none of us had ever heard of before, but what a great surprise. One of the things I've always loved about Vietnamese food is the plethora of fresh vegetables in most dishes, and this did not disappoint. The other appy was a coconut shrimp. Loved the chili sauce that came with it, and the serving was generous. My go-to dish at any Vietnamese restaurant is usually the vermicelli noodle salad with grilled pork, and my final yay or nay will always depend on the quality of the pork and how crispy the meat is. My huge bowl at Hen did not disappoint. As always, I mixed and matched whatever various sauces were on the table into the bowl, guaranteeing that I'll never be ever able to recreate the same flavors. Fish sauce, hoisin sauce, a slightly sweet vinegary garlic sauce - into the pool they went. And great staff and service too!

Yelp
We got summer rolls (pork, tofu & veggie), cha gio, banh xeo, and rau xao toi. The crepe was delicious, rolls were fresh, the sauce with the bok choy was good. The bok choy stems were pretty stringy but overall the food was very good. Excellent and swift service, unfussy ambience. Do recommend.

Yelp
Oh my. Where to start. A mean server and no greetings at all. Don't be fooled with the pictures of foods. We ordered three Phos and they were not hot enough and the noodles were stuck together. The taste of the soup was so plain. It wasn't like this before. The worst place to eat Phos now.
