"Henrietta’s at The Dewberry is a hotel restaurant very much worth going to even if you aren’t staying upstairs. This semi-fancy, all-day bistro in Mazyck-Wraggborough serves a wide range of French and Lowcountry dishes, from a vegetable quiche and boudin bites to their really good burger and glazed lobster omelette. It’s definitely one of the pricier brunch or lunch options in town, but if you’re looking for a great patio, good French food, and somewhere to drink a nice cocktail, Henrietta’s is where to go." - Emily Yates

Our waiter was the most charming thing ever. Our eggs benedict was delightful. The only issue was that they didn't serve alcohol before 10 a.m.and we were in there at 8 a.m. looking for a bloody Mary. Oh well still enjoyed to the fullest!!!!

Google
Old school with such history. Completely restored hotel with an amazing bar/restaurant that has craft cocktails with an old school vibe of white coats and stirrers. This is where you go dressed up to grab a few libations before dinner on the town!

Good service! Pretty location Not much variety on the breakfast menu though

Elegance and service! Top notch and unbeatable.

I'm a little confused by some of the other reviews. This place is a delightful French restaurant that my wife and I adore. The food is phenomenal. We had their whole chicken to share and it was a culinary masterpiece. Each part of the chicken was cooked to perfection. We have also been for lunch and the food was excellent. I had there omelette and it was one of the best egg dishes I have ever had. The service is excellent, and we have enjoyed our waiters both times. We love the cocktails a lot. Needless to say, we can't wait to come back!

Lovely place and ambience. The drinks / food options are great too. I especially love the wood paneled decor, the warm lighting and cozy ambience.

Google
Food, Service and Atmosphere are all impressive. While the interior at the Dewberry is clearly stunning, I wasn't sure what to expect from the food. I hadn't heard much about it so I put off trying it until the other day. The convenience of parking nearby got us in the door. Each member of the staff was helpful and friendly. The Sherry Cobbler cocktail I had was one of my favorites in recent memory and not too strong for lunch. The kitchen went out of their way to make a dish vegetarian friendly for my mother, while I still got to try their linguiça sausage, which was so flavorful. My mother and I both remarked that the gnocchi were the lightest we've ever tasted. Don't wait another day to try this new addition to the Charleston food scene.

Google
Had lunch here on a rainy windy day by chance. What a find. Cocktails and food were exceptional. Very attentive and professional staff. I personally appreciated their use of pasture raised chicken and local ingredients. Atmosphere is wonderful. Also a good opportunity to see inside the Dewberry hotel. PS If you've never had a Sherry Cobbler give it a try.

Yelp
Permanently closed, unfortunately. The Dewberry really needs a restaurant. It can't really be a five star hotel without one. (Stars only given because Yelp requires it)

Yelp
My family stopped in here for a quick breakfast on Labor Day. We tried to sit outside but for some reason we weren't allowed so we were seated inside on the opposite side of the building. This might have been the reason we had slow service, but I also only saw two people working so I think they were just understaffed. Aside from the slow service, our food was great. It was expensive for what it was, but super delicious. I got the breakfast sandwich and it was one of the best I've ever had. Loved the tomato jam they had on it. My husband really liked his yogurt parfait, too.

Yelp
Henrietta's is the hotel restaurant for the Dewberry and it's definitely leaning towards higher-end for their breakfast but that's not necessarily better. The coffee was great, the service was great, but the omelet was just meh. My wife enjoyed her breakfast sandwich of egg and cheese and bacon on a lovely seeded bun. I'm not sure I'd specifically choose Henrietta's again only because I think that there are probably other choices that would be better.

Yelp
Finally had dinner there, not impressed. Menu is very limited, food portions small, had the 4oz steak, extremely small, but tasty. Surprised that such a high end place could have a mediocre restaurant. Onion soup was good, mashed potatoes was a large portion. Burger is large, heritage chicken is plentiful. Prices very high for what you get. Don't mind paying top price, but I want top food. Waitress was very pleasant. Frank G

Yelp
Great for breakfast! I ate here with by husband after our first night at the Dewberry and was not disappointed by our tasty breakfast! My hubby loved his eggs Benedict. I really enjoyed my breakfast of scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, fruit and sourdough toast with butter and jam. It was quite the feast! Service could have been better the the food and company were on point!

Yelp
We stopped by Henrietta's after dinner for dessert and (dessert) cocktails. The interior was dark wood all around, had great music playing and a lively crowd. A very classy place that makes you want to relax. We sat at the bar and went for the Brandy Alexander and Grasshopper. Both were made perfectly, and we sipped them while enjoying our desserts - bruleed mascarpone custard and the fabulous caramel apple Huguenot torte. Both were full of flavor and sweetness. We like the atmosphere of Henrietta's, the service was very upscale with friendly and attentive staff. We loved it, a great ending to our night. We look forward to visiting again for a full dinner.

Yelp
We received Extra special treatment at Henriettas I am on a gluten free diet and everyone was super accommodating. The chef even made me gluten free fried chicken....the last time I had home made fried chicken was over 40 years ago. The waitress (I think her name was Brianna ....a very sweet brilliant young lady took time to talk to us about her life and training in France and made us feel special. We eat at Henrietta's about 5 times during our stay & had excellent service every time! The breakfast was great ...gluten free crepes....great omelettes and eggs. Much more than what we would expect from a hotel restaurant.... 5 stars....thank you!

Yelp
Came here for a drink and some appetizers with my mom yesterday and it was amazing! Not only is the decor & ambiance great, but the food and service matched, if not exceeded! Would totally come back for drinks and the Blue Crab Fritters alone...but everything else was also so good.

Elaina M.

Yelp
Had a wonderful Saturday brunch while staying in the hotel! The sangrias are not too sweet, more tart really. And very refreshing! Highly suggest the bacon cheddar croissant and the chocolate danish. All their pastries are served warm too.

Danielle K.

Yelp
Next to a really nice hotel- modern and kind of cool- wish I stayed there. Anyway, outdoor seating available, which was nice on a mild day. We came for brunch and it didn't disappoint with two extremely decadent dishes. The French toast was a so sweet and rich- it should be on the dessert menu. I think it was some sort of zucchini bread with chocolate sauce and ice cream- one bite and it sends you over the edge. The lobster omelette was very similar with fresh herbs, lots of steamed lobster in a fluffy egg topped with hollandaise, and side salad- oh, plus fries. It didn't need the fries or maybe the hollandaise- I couldn't finish even half, but great for brunch especially if you had drinks at the Gin Joint.

Yelp
Food was not worth the 50$ for two for breakfast. Poached eggs were hard boiled and bacon was burnt. Coffee was bitter and acidic! Our waitress was great and I felt bad that she had to deal with the kitchens errors. Also I guess we didn't look affluent enough. It took a while to get waited on and others who came in after us received quicker and more personal service with coffee and meals brought out right away!

Hayley K.

Yelp
Went here for Monday breakfast. Baked goods were delicious. Also got the eggs Benedict which came on a cheddar biscuit that was super rich and filling. I think the service could have been a little better which is why I'm not giving them a full 5 star. Update: stayed at the Dewberry and had brunch at Henriettas again. Slow service once again.

Yelp
Visiting Charleston very briefly and staying at this hotel (Dewberry) which is now my favorite here. I haven't had time to try other meals here at Henrietta's but thus far their oatmeal is simply divine -- in texture, flavor, and quality of oats. Very elegantly done and delicious. Fresh fruits are of great local quality -- tasty, fresh, and sweet the way all fruits should taste. Service is wonderful.

Yelp
I was fortunate enough to experience a free overnight stay at one of Charlestons' luxury hotels, The Dewbury, through my husband's business partner. This included a deluxe meal at its in-house restaurant. Although I'd easily give The Dewbury 4 to 5 stars for the cleanliness and ambiance (although fairly tight spaces, even within a suite!), as well as service (front desk reception was amazing...complete with hot hand towel and tea service!), I can't do the same for its restaurant. Henrietta's is actually quite small, half the size of most full-scale restaurants. It's classic and elegant, and provides a decent selection of items, from apps to desserts. However, I thought it was just lacking somehow. I felt that the caliber of foods were O-Kay at most...and nothing extraordinary nor fancy, despite the quality of the hotel. I went with a big group, and the service was quite good considering...but there were some fails in terms of specific requests I made...on the food preparation, for instance. Overall, I appreciated the convenience of this restaurant...as it was chosen by a business partner for our brief stay. Still, given that there are so many exceptional restaurants here in the "Foodie" town of Charleston, I feel that the hotel may need to ramp up the culinary standards just a bit. While I am more than eager to return to the hotel itself, I'm just not too sure if I'm willing to try Henrietta's again...unless there are big changes in the kitchen.

Yelp
This restaurant is wonderful! We ate here a couple times and it did not disappoint! Nabil and Anwar were wonderful servers- attentive, friendly and very professional! They added to our experience. Overall, everyone trips over themselves to wait on you hand and foot. Thank you Nabil and Anwar!!

Yelp
Great drinks, beautiful seating handsome waiters and an overall delightful experience. The negative reviews on this place are ludicrous. Just the right amount of class and bourbon to make you want to come back

William M.

Yelp
The one star is for the beautiful interior. This is attached to the Dewberry hotel and we were excited for the brunch Saturday morning. - Pro Tip* just go to the farmers market outside. They have great food trucks, and top notch local stands selling unique creations. Here is the FB post immediately after ordering (two pastries took 20 minutes to arrive). Just stepped into a brunch bomb. Brunch Bomb- insanely over priced brunch. Signs include - 6 dollar fruit cups, 14 and up international breakfast plate. 8 dollar coffee cake. Brunch is made from the least expensive of all meal ingredients. Charging people over the top prices is not okay.

Yelp
A not so hidden gem in the Dewberry Hotel. We had brunch there for two days while staying at the hotel..(which is great, BTW). Eggs benedict on a cheddar biscuit...It was perfect. Poached and served to perfection while still warm. The Ruben is unique. smokey sliced meat w red cabbage. all tender and flavorful. my daughter ordered the chicken bog...I'm doing that next time. chucks of dark meet mixed with a local ? vintage rice grain with fried egg on top. all in a casserole to keep warm. The prior day I had the chicken and waffles. Great! not afraid to have some spice and the waffle was supper light and crisp. Servers are first class. no rush and aim to please. Full bar doesn't hurt.

Andrew C.

Yelp
Sooo - I can't profess to eating anything here, but I did sit for a drink in the bar/lounge area. The bartenders were nice and friendly (even if they were working on a holiday). My old fashioned was well made and I was a happy camper there.

Pallabi M.

Yelp
Such wonderful food and hospitality at Henrietta's last night. We arrived a bit before 10 and were quickly seated even though the kitchen was due to close in 15 minutes. Our orders arrived quickly and tasted delicious. The mushroom and onion tart is a great starter to share! I went with the seared scallops and my husband ordered the lamb chops. Portions are generous and flavor combinations are on point. A lot of other great options on the menu as well. The cool, retro vibe of the restaurant is also another reason to try out Henrietta's!

Joe R.

Yelp
Fine Dining! Monday dinner time is slow but the fare at Henrietta's at the Dewberry never stops. The green salad was crispy and perfectly dressed. The gold gazpacho was unusually presented with the gold tomato base poured over crispy chopped cucumber, scallion, celery, and red grape tomatoes. The waiter tossed in a complimentary order of deviled eggs appetizer and prosecco. All four of us zeroed in on the whole crispy rainbow trout that was done and presented to perfection on a bed of wilted spinach. The sides, sweet corn off the cob, mushrooms, and vegetable medley rounded out the table. To add to our celebration, our waiter comped a selection of desserts, which completed a delicious experience. A word about the service--excellent!

Kelly G.

Yelp
Love! Located inside the upscale Dewberry hotel, Henrietta's is a must try. The food was fantastic ! We started the evening with the escargot , which came served in shell . This was the first time I had it while still in the shell and I have to say it stands out as my favorite preparation. Lots of garlic but not overpowering. Came with some crostini which was great for soaking up the broth inside the shells. At my server's recommendation I order the pork shoulder. It was amazing!! It was accompanied by cider, squash, broccoli, boudin, pecans and field peas. Sounds like a lot going on that might be a flavor disaster but it was absolutely perfect. Probably one of my favorite meals of 2017!! My friend ordered the steak frites and it was tasty. Our server was super nice and refreshing. Very down to earth and personable - sometimes dining downtown you can get stuck with a snooty waiter so a genuine personality stands out. I highly recommend Henrietta's and will be back again!

Michael M.

Yelp
I am currently sitting in Herietta's and the service is not up to any reasonable standard for the prices the hotel commands. We stood in line to be seated and no one was manning the front desk. There were two other couples waiting as well. We finally got the attention of staff and were all seated. After waiting a reasonable amount of time after being seated I flagged down someone and said could we have coffee. The wait had been long enough that my wife went to the front of the restaurant and brought two coffees from the courtesy stand by the front door. We have been here 31 minutes after ordering and no food and empty coffee. Twice we exited the restaurant to refill our cups at the courtesy stand. After our food arriving I had to ask for the bacon that I had ordered. It had been forgotten. After finishing her meal we cancelled the grits that never arrived. I then asked to speak to the supervisor to articulate our displeasure at the lack of service and also to let her know I would be writing a poor review. While she made an effort to "comp" the breakfast I advised that was not of value since we booked through the American Express Fine Hotels program and it was included. I will also be letting American Express know the review.

Molly S.

Yelp
The one star is for the atmosphere. Poor service and bland cold food. Would not recommend this place for the price or the food. Take your money somewhere worth it!!

Charlie P.

Yelp
After experiencing the New Years Eve party at The Dewberry and hearing all about the epic After Party that also took place there during the Charleston Wine & Food Festival, I was familiar with the gorgeous interiors of this new hotel and restaurant, but eager to experience the cuisine. I visited Henrietta's on a weekday night with a friend, where we found ourself sitting outdoors on their charming patio overlooking Meeting street. Our server was very knowledgeable and appeared genuinely excited for us to try out the Chef's offerings for the first time. The $3 oysters I ordered for an appetizer were just how I love them- huge and briney. I was a big fan of the way some of the entrees were presented on the menu- available in different portion sizes for different prices, which made it easy for the table to share a variety of dishes. I ordered one of the Soft Shell Crabs ($18/piece), which came with a creamy sauce, charred Cauliflower and crispy potato puffs. Just one paired with the oysters was plenty of food for a meal. My friend ordered the Keegan-Fillon chicken dish, which came with roasted breasts, and fried wings, which I thought was a cool way to offer two different versions of the same protein. We split the Frozen Chocolate Mint Mousse for dessert, which was equally as Insta-worthy as it was rich and filling. The Angel Food Cake we also split wasn't as exciting for me- as I'm more of a chocolate fan. Overall I enjoyed Henrietta's and could see it becoming a great spot for a work lunch or special dinner when the parents come into town. No complaints here!

Michael S.

Yelp
Excellent Hotel, great bars, wonderful bell staff, but terrible experience at Henrietta's for breakfast. Stay away! Food is fine but the service is dreadful. Several families walked out after not being waited on in a timely manner. Once we finally received our food, it wasn't what we ordered but didn't want to wait another 45mins so we accepted it. I asked for a refund based on the mistake. They brought me a receipt for the new amount without any verification that I was refunded the initial charge or that it was cancelled. Bottom line... we'll be staying at the hotel again, visiting the citrus club and living room bars but we'll stay far away from Henrietta's ‍‍‍.

Caro M.

Yelp
I didn't come to Henrietta's with huge expectations, but it ended up a solid 3 star experience. I was with a large group of girls, and we planned to order numerous plates to share as a heavy pre-fashion week snack. I got there earlier than everyone and enjoyed spending time at the bar with Cain. He was hilarious and a great drink mixer. The bar isn't big, but I suppose they have major competition with the Living Room. TL;DR: cocktails were great, fries, gnocchi, and salad were good, cool decor, the rest was not memorable. I cannot find Henrietta's drink menu online, so I don't know the names. I started with the highball made with black cherry seltzer. It was good! At the suggestion of our waiter, I tried their vodka take on a dirty martini. Very interesting and a good dinner choice. I would order again. Finally, i tried another one that's in my pictures. It was beautiful and good! Very refreshing and definitely my favorite. The inside dining room is beautiful. The whole setup reminds me of Mad Men, and I've always loved Don Draper, so I was into it. Our waiter, don't recall his name, seemed overwhelmed with our table. Because we had a few show up way later (thanks to awful Charleston traffic and a no-show Uber), by the time we were seated we essentially told him our plan was to order at large and run out and over to the event. We ordered the fries, gnocchi, steak frites, salad lyonnaisse, flounder amandine, asparagus, and sweetbreads. The fries were very good. The steak was just average. Nothing stood out to me taste-wise, and i wouldn't go back and order it. I really loved the gnocchi. That was probably my favorite thing. Also, the salad was great for sharing and was also very good. The lardons were perfect! The asparagus was totally bizarre. It had what tasted like deviled egg filling or egg salad on top, and I didn't like the way the asparagus themselves were cooked. I had my first experience with sweetbreads, and I liked it. Obviously, I can't compare to another experience, so I can't comment more aside from I thought it was good. The flounder amandine was not good. I thought it was dry and tasteless. The service was off. I ordered a drink (while seated at dinner) but it was forgotten. Forgotten as in, it was made, but neither the waiter nor the bartender brought it out until I asked (even when they both delivered drinks to our table in the meantime). And the place was far from packed. It's also small, so I was confused how this could happen. Also, all of a sudden, three waitstaff appeared and asked if we were done. While we initially told them we were going to pressed for time, in no way is it acceptable to have three people show up and ask if we were finished when there were plates of food all around and while we're all talking and clearly enjoying ourselves. When we said we were finishing up, they misunderstood and began gathering the plates. At that point, we didn't care. But what was even more crazy, was that they didn't bring the check. We had to flag them down and ask. Totally bizarre. Kind of ended everything on a sour note. I may check them out again, but won't be running back soon. I would sit at the bar and order apps and drinks though.

Ken K.

Yelp
Great place! The service was great along with the red wine from Oregon! The location is great inside the Dewberry! I loved my Oysters and the steak. I look forward to my next visit!

Siobhan L.

Yelp
Good service but the food was mediocre and overpriced. My flounder menieure was basically a fish stick. Not impressed.

Jim W.

Yelp
Party of 5 for celebration dinner last night. While the food was ok the service especially from the bar was super slow. Waited 15+minutes for our first cocktail. The waitress said the bar was short handed but no one stepped in the help. The vibe in the bar was pretty cool. We will give it a try again but not soon.

Mary A.

Yelp
Since we are new to the Charleston area, it was a challenge to find a restaurant that was open on Christmas Day. We found that the few that are open are mostly associated with downtown hotels. Henrietta's is no exception as it is located in the Dewberry Hotel near Marion Square. Interestingly, this building was once a Federal office building and has been very thoroughly and meticulously renovated. From the outside one still imagines a very solid utilitarian building but on the inside it's a whole different experience. The lobby is very spacious and open, and when you go through the doorway of Henrietta's the experience changes again. There is wood paneling throughout with black and white tiled floors. The ceilings are panels of cane and wood and there are modern paintings on the walls. The room almost has a feel of a Vienna bistro out of the 1920s. On to the food and service: We were seated promptly and offered drinks and a menu. At first I was disappointed because I was expecting a dinner menu, not Brunch. So we ordered off of the Brunch menu and were happy with our selections. I had chicken and waffles---prepared with 2 crisp lightly breaded portions on a reduction sauce of maple with a sweet/sour taste with some heat. My husband chose Lobster Omelet, served with fries and a small salad. We were both happy with our selections and were even able to share them. I may never order lobster in another form again----that omelet was so good! Just some tender claw meat, lightly seasoned and encased in a fluffy egg mixture. As to the chicken and waffles---I would order it again--chicken was tender and moist and waffles very crispy. We ended our meal with a berry coffee cake---delicious! Henrietta's is very popular with the concert going crowd as it is just a short distance from the Gaillard Center. It is also close to Marion Square and historic Charleston. The hotel would be a great place to stay on a visit to the city to enjoy the sites and partake of some good food and drink! I did fail to mention there is an extensive cocktail list---I opted for a Henrietta highball, very refreshing with blackberry garnish!

Marikate N.

Yelp
Came for breakfast while staying at the dewberry. It's a very nice atmosphere but a very limited menu. I saw some kids at the next table having waffles but didn't see them on the menu. The waitress was so nice and let me get the waffles from the children's menu. It's very pricey for what you get. One waffle was 12$. An iced latte in a small glass was 7$.... it was gone in 4 sips. The fruit was delicious and the waffle was tasty but a very expensive breakfast to still be a little hungry 2 hours later.

J G.

Yelp
I brought a friend there for her Birthday which the hostess did acknowledge. As it was written in the reservation notes..She was the ONLY person to acknowledge. Never was another word mentioned.. at 845 on a Sat evening the restaurant has cleared out, but the service was horrible. Never offered bread, 40 minutes in I had to ask.. in fact there's not much I didn't have to ask for, nor did I get much of an opportunity as we were only checked on 2x the entire night. Crab cake appetizer while good, was small and barely lump crab as described. The steak was horribly chewy and not cooked properly. However since we never once saw our waiter after being served, we were stuck. The best thing was a corn side dish which is pretty sad given the place, and the price. Save your money and buy a Publix London broil. (Sarcasm)I even had to ask for water, and try and get someone to get our check...the waiter also waited in a nearby party hand and foot , all night..acted like he Knows them, even hooking them up for their check... (we could hear that convo)...meanwhile I couldn't even get eye contact with the waiter to get water, or another drink!!....Birthday fail.

Colin R.

Yelp
It was ok. The staff a little off. Who had two different waitresses. Both had stains on their shirts at 9am! And one which was may a very good listener. My mother asked for her drink to be mad a special way and the waitress did not even acknowledge her even though she said it twice. Then the drink took a good 10 mins to come out. They were simple mixed drinks and a coffee. The food was good. But the service was off putting.

Glen R.

Yelp
New restaurants in Charleston open up seemingly every week but most are not within the fine dining genre. Don't get me wrong...they're great but fine dining is different. This is not a place you bring the kids. Our server Matt was extremely knowledgeable about the creative menu, the ingredients in each dish and was able to suggest great wine pairings for each course. Every course was presented beautifully and tasted even better. Since the menu changes constantly there's no need to explain what we ate because it might not be on the menu next time. We were pleased to learn that every item, including the crackers that accompanied one dish, are made in house. Can't wait to go back. PS. The cocktail list is incredibly creative too.

Josh S.

Yelp
We came here for our 2 year anniversary. The entire staff treated us so well and even gave us complimentary champagne. I feel we would've had a phenomenal experience here regardless but they were extremely sweet to us when the found out it was our anniversary. The food was amazing the menu descriptions do NOT do them justice. 12/10 experience and so glad we chose to come here for our anniversary dinner! Thank you everyone who helped us tonight it is much appreciated!

S L.

Yelp
Great location, wonderfully curated selection of appetizer plates and wine made a great pre-theater dinner.

Gene C.

Yelp
Wasn't impressed. For an upscale hotel I would have thought the food would have been more in line with top shelf Charleston restaurants but it wasn't. To add insult to injury, the wine list is very weak with prices 4 to 5 times retail. Disappointing. Average to below average.

Nikita K.

Yelp
We went July 4th weekend and were not disappointed. Although the restaurant and bar were the only things open (hotel was still being finished) I think the venue is promising and I'd go back. Note - the restaurant was still working out its kinks ex. we ordered the last bottle of Rose which was surprising, as you'd think they'd have fully stocked wine cellar having just opened, tablecloths were not ironed, and service was a bit spotty as the waiter didn't know the ins and outs of the menu, but I have hope these will be sorted out in good time. We tried the following: Parisian Gnocchi with blue crab - this was delicately prepared and the gnocchi is made with pastry dough instead of potatoes, making them taste a bit lighter Salade Maison - any salad with buttermilk dressing, usually tastes delicious as was this one Tomato tart - I'm new to the south, but apparently tomato tarts are a staple down here, so Henrietta's take is a bit unconventional, with sheep's milk sauce poured on top Steak tartare - nicely prepared and presented We also popped over to the Living Room bar afterwards for a nightcap with some friends - the dedication to the cocktail craft was admirable. As they served each drink with specific ice shapes, not uncommon to the speakeasy-type bars in Manhattan. The only thing missing is that the restaurant has valet-only parking. Would be nice if you could park yourself at the venue.

Kathy M.

Yelp
I was so looking forward to dining here. Love French food, but alas I came away disappointed. It's been a couple of weeks so can't be specific on some items. Sorry! But I think I can give you a fair review of my experience. If you want an adventure in cocktails you will certainly get it in the cocktail lounge - turmeric-infused gin? Actually that was pretty good but according to my friend they had a hard time duplicating the drink for the second round. For an appetizer I ordered something with ham and pears and this was excellent. For dinner I ordered a lobster omelet which was perfection. Light and fluffy with the lobster done just right. The fries were perfectly crisp on the outside; however, way too salty. This ended up ruining the rest of the meal and my wine. My friend ordered the wreck fish of which I took a bite. Tough, tough, tough! In some type of neon green sauce that looked unappetizing and according to her it was. Alas, this is not a restaurant that I would return to or recommend to friends.

Yelp
We had an amazing breakfast at Henrietta's in May of this year, and I am genuinely considering going back to Charleston just to get those BBQ shrimp and grits. The server recommended them and I was hesitant but ooommmggg. Get them! We had a bunch of other good things as well but all I can remember is that dish. Yum.

Yelp
Maybe something was going on behind the scenes the day we were there for brunch but the whole meal took forever. We arrived early for our reservation and the table wasn't ready, which makes sense...we were early. BUT, there were only about 5 tables occupied in the entire restaurant so I'm not sure why it took an additional 15 minutes to seat us. I ordered a Drunk In Love. It was beautiful and refreshing. Our actual meal seemed to take a while after we ordered. I'd think at least 20 minutes. There were 6 of us where a couple of people ordered the same thing, so basically 3 different dishes being prepared. Everyone enjoyed the food but no raving. After we had finished eating, our plates sat for about another 20 minutes before being removed. Again, the majority of the tables were vacant. So I'm not sure about the lag. We weren't in a rush (luckily) there just seemed to be a lot of down time. Decor was lovely. Staff was courteous. But overall, it wasn't what I expected for a place on a few Best Brunch lists.

Yelp
Limited menu with overtures to French cuisine , but I wouldn't label it as such. Very few patrons the night we visited and service was appropriate for this price point. Very dark wood paneling and low lighting creates an ambience in conflict with the music. Doubt many locals frequent this establishment.

Yelp
We visited today for the first time and as locals we are always looking for a good place for a nice lunch with refined service and atmosphere. Something that is becoming harder and harder to find here. Well Henrietta's was a hit. The atmosphere is casual elegant which is very nice. The service was outstanding. Like the sort of service we haven't experienced since the 1970's here. And the food was well priced and delicious. The chicken over polenta was so tender and full of flavor. We also enjoyed the quiche and steak. The real treats were the desserts. And the staff just made the visit and "experience" a hit - which really is the key to keeping a customer base and standing out in a saturated market. It is our pleasure to recommend this as a reliable place for a lovely lunch or dessert and coffee. Our commendation to our wait staff today to the management. You have hired some outstanding people to represent your brand. Keep them happy and on staff as they truly are a large part of the reason it was all so wonderful. And valet parking is an added bonus downtown. Well done Dewberry. We will be back.

Yelp
Really great spot. The pastry chef is incredible. Josh the server was very knowledgeable very professional and an all-around great guy. The remodeling of this state building is superb and detail it will take you right back to the 1960s. The food is very fresh all handmade fresh eggs fresh cream fresh whipped cream I can't say enough. A Must stop at experience. Upscale yet comfortable casual and very nice people. Make sure if you're in his stork Charlston you have breakfast at Harriets.

Yelp
The food was wonderful but not the service. It was Saturday night and there was about two other people there and they were so slow. Waited for the food for maybe an hour and we were constantly asking to fill up our drinks and we also waited a while for the check.

Yelp
We came on a Friday night, our hotel didn't strongly recommend, which almost made us cancel.. So glad we didn't the food was excellent as well as the service. I could be a Food critic or food writer as I am a traveling foodie that is also a gourmet cook.. put this on your list when going to Charlston, it's really good!

Yelp
We had a good meal here and the service was good. However when we got our credit card statement the next month they had overcharged us by $40. I've now had 2 phone calls with the front desk and the restaurant management and still waiting to get this corrected. Given the issues in being overcharged and then difficulty in getting it corrected drives my rating.

Yelp
Our first time inside the new Dewberry, and it is definitely setting a benchmark for mid century style in Charleston. From the valet to the waiters, everyone was friendly, accommodating and very professional. Food was amazing! I had the shrimp and grits (sets the bar for a Southern/Charleston restaurant, in my opinion) and wife had the steak frites. Both were exceptional! Charcuterie was one of the best I've had in town. Dessert was also very good! Great location, great atmosphere! We'll be back!
