Herberg de Loohoeve

What an amazing time we had at the restaurant. I was the American among the Dutch as we celebrated being together while visiting my husband’s family. ||||I was so delighted that that the staff translated all the courses and wines into English for me. The food was incredible, and the presentation beautiful. A true delight pairing the food and wine for all the senses. I’ve never experienced anything like it. They are moving to Groningen in 2020 and I will be sure to look them up when we visit next time.

We had a great time! We stayed there while walking the Pieterpad and had dinner. The food was good. The service was delightful - the waitresses had smiles for everyone and the owner was making sure all is well. Nice place.

Whenever you get to Drente in the Netherland you just have to go to this lovely place! The room we had was better than many a place with a higher rating. Clean, as most places in Holland, and well equipped. The food was to die for and it was nice to be advised on the wine by people who really knew what it is all about. Even the glass of malt was served as it should which warmed our highland hearts no end. Nice people, no fals pretentions, good value!

Area with a low population and one of the best restaurants in the world. Who knew. Come soon if you have the chance. You won't regret it. Food by Jeroen, desserts by Marleen. Nothing better. Attentive staff. Michelin star. Wine list from the best around the world. Don't wait. Go.

4 of us stayed here as a base to go to the Assen moto GP ..lovely place with lovely owners who were very friendly and helpful. As we were out most days we only had 1 breakfast and 1 evening meal but they were both excellent Lovely staff.

Had we known that dining in the province Drenthe could be this good we would have come sooner. Because what the loohoeve presents can easily match the better Michelin starred restaurants in the city. Good food, great wine, tranquil enviroment and with a stay over in the small hotel at the back you can roll into your bed after a culinair adventure ride with mostly local products. In the middle of nowhere you can eat in heaven.

Absolutely loved Herberg De Loohoeve. Beautiful location, very friendly welcome, lovely comfortable room and brilliant food and service. I'll definitely be returning here next time I'm in Holland.

The room was so so, nothing special, old fashioned but the beds were fine. ......dinner however was super! The best soup and other wonderful starters. Breakfast ok but to bad they couldn.t offer us a cappuccino .
