SF Pop-Up Hermanita Brings Baja Brunch to Mosto on Valencia - Eater SF

"Hermanita is a pop-up by budding SF talent Nicole Marin, offering dishes inspired by her youth in Mexicali, Mexico. It operates during brunch on weekends at Mosto (741 Valencia Street) from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The menu features dishes like fresh summer corn, fish tostadas, and traditional barbacoa, sourced mostly from the Ferry Plaza farmers market. Botanas include watermelon salad and corn, while seafood tostadas and a 'de la abuela' section offer classics like pozole and barbacoa. Marin aims to evoke the flavors of home using local ingredients. The pop-up is supported by Tacolicious founder Joe Hargrave, and Mosto’s cocktails complement the brunch offerings." - Caleb Pershan

Yelp
Chef Nicole is amazing, her attention to detail in every single plate is unbelievable, the ambient is pretty good and people who helps her serving even better. I would have her food every single day and recommend her everywhere and to everyone!!! Again amazing food and most importantly super authentic Mexican cuisine, something that's not common in USA, so it should make a great impact in San Francisco and everywhere in the world!

Yelp
The chef here does an amazing job. I was able to grab a seat at the bar and had a great time. The food is amazing and she is very humble and friendly! I recommend going with a group to try everything on the menu, but I loved her corn dish, tuna with wakame, and the barbacoa! YUM!
