"Essex Market is full of tremendous sandwiches, but if you’re looking for a fried chicken or an excellent smash burger, check out Heroes & Villains. Both the “Sando Calrissian” (fried chicken with miso-aioli, cabbage, and pickles) and “The Kahuna” (crispy ground beef, pickles, cheese sauce, spicy ketchup, all served on a hot dog bun) are sandwiches that you can get for under $10. Plus, “The Kahuna” is kind of like eating a burger as a hot dog, or the opposite of the Rocket Power classic, “The Hotdurger.”" - Carlo Mantuano

This place was pretty badass. Not really any back issues but a lot of the cool, newer stuff. Some higher value variants, and there's a record and vintage gaming area too. Definitely recommend this as a stop if you don't come to the area often. Love the vibe.

Every time I come in here, it's always the best experience. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, who are always willing to go out of their way for you. They make you feel like you just walked into your buddies house, except your buddies' house is way cooler than yours. I accidentally over-paid once, and by the time I got home I had 2 missed calls and a voicemail I never checked, telling me to come get my money. I only found out when I walked into the store and they recognized me from days earlier. I can't say enough good stuff about this store, and more specifically, it's awesome employees.

As always! We love coming here! My husband and I used to come before we had our son! And now we get to go with our kid! Today we got help from the amazing Addy! (Forgive me if I spelled it wrong) she was helpful, kind, and patience with my 3 year old, who wanted everything he saw lol I’m so glad you guys are still as amazing as before !

I don't like that I have to change my previous 5 star rating, but here's why. The soapy air freshener makes me dizzy as well as sets off my migraines & the store is not what it once was customer service-wise. If it's the closest comic book store to you then it's a fine choice, & local is ALWAYS better than online, & they do have some things I haven't seen in other stores in town, but overall it's not my go-to as of late unfortunately. That said, I always wish every comic book store success.

Great selection of comics, games, role playing, and vinyl. One of my regular hangout spots in Tucson. Photo is from Tucson Comic-Con, but you'll get the idea...

I love taking my son here to need out on card games so I can also need out on games and nostalgic paraphernalia. There's always something you haven't seen. And the record store section is awesome too

I have not had any problems with the other parts of the store but the TCG department has never been very helpful from my experience. And after the recent pokemon release something has to be said the fact that they sold the newest etb at $120 is gross. Most likely because this has been an established store for a very long time they where able to get their boxes at wholesale and then they sold them for %200 profit, best case scenario they did have to buy them close to "market price" and they only made a little bit off of these, but that's not any better honestly because now they are supporting this disgusting scalping trend that is ruining the hobby. If the only option was to buy them from scalpers they should have just skipped this set. I use to love this place and made sure to buy things from every part of the store to do my part to support my local game store but I don't know if I'll be comming back after this

Literally, I was next door getting screwed over at Audio Express (check out more of my reviews, lol) and I found the perfect place to browse for a few hours. They have everything I'm into and now I am gonna have to accept overtime at work. 😾😾😾 My ONLY regret, which I know is not their fault, is none of those amazing OST's are on CD. It's all vinyl, which made me wonder for a second if there's too much datura growing in my yard. They DID have Celeste OST's (including the B Sides!) on cassette tapes, which is the most meta thing I have seen in the past 5 years. LOL cause Audio Express told me no one sells tapes anymore. Pfffft! We'll show them! Special shoutout to Materia Collective ♡♡♡♡♡♡
