"Essex Market is full of tremendous sandwiches, but if you’re looking for a fried chicken or an excellent smash burger, check out Heroes & Villains. Both the “Sando Calrissian” (fried chicken with miso-aioli, cabbage, and pickles) and “The Kahuna” (crispy ground beef, pickles, cheese sauce, spicy ketchup, all served on a hot dog bun) are sandwiches that you can get for under $10.
