I was a new client and made an appointment with this salon, but unfortunately had a last-minute scheduling conflict and called to reschedule—23 hours in advance. I was told that because it was not a full 24 hours' notice, I would be charged the full $100 for the missed appointment and another $100 for the rescheduled one.
I understand the importance of cancellation policies, but the lack of flexibility—especially for a first-time client making an honest effort to give as much notice as possible—was disappointing. The tone on the phone was cold and unforgiving, which made the experience even more unpleasant.
I usually remain loyal to salons I find in the city, but this felt like a clear message that new clients aren't truly welcome or valued here. Definitely not the warm introduction I was hoping for.
