Visited Hex this afternoon while walking around CNE. Lots of folks working on laptops and it looked like plenty of plugs making its remote work friendly. There’s also a large shaded patio area right outside. I ordered an oat milk matcha and it was fantastic!

Me and my friends love this place! It’s one of our favorite spots to get work done—we can sit there for hours and feel super comfortable. The drinks are great, especially their matcha lattes, which are my go-to. The food is good too, a little greasy at times, and a lot of the menu includes pork, but I really enjoyed their other options like the waffles. Definitely a chill spot with a great vibe!

The chicken sandwich was absolutely amazing! It normally comes spicy but they were able to make it not spicy on request.

Hex Coffee is an absolute gem. The coffee itself was excellent — the espresso was smooth and well-balanced, and the filter brew was also very good. But what really made the experience stand out was the barista. She was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and when I asked for recommendations on other coffee spots in Charlotte, she gave me honest and thoughtful suggestions, which I really appreciated. The atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant, and as a bonus, I finally got to try Liquid Death water — love the concept of ditching plastic in favor of canned water. It’s clever, impactful, and surprisingly refreshing. Overall, Hex Coffee delivers both in quality and hospitality. Highly, highly recommend this place to anyone visiting or living in Charlotte.

Stopped by Hex Coffee today in the am 8:20am-8:37am and had an awesome experience. The barista was working completely by herself, and you’d never know it — she was fast, super friendly, and kept the energy positive the whole time. I ordered an iced oatmeal mocha, and it was absolutely delicious — perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and exactly what I needed. It's rare to see someone handle a rush solo with that much grace and skill. Big props to her and to Hex for delivering such a great experience. I'll definitely be back!

My visit to HEX camp north end was memorable for all the wrong reasons. I shelled out for an expensive coffee, only to discover they were remarkably bland – truly, the cheapest supermarket fare surpasses their "offerings." The real surprise came when I was informed that using my laptop was almost a "criminal offense" in this establishment, a rule they apparently keep secret until after you've ordered. There were no signs anywhere indicating this policy. Given that the café was completely deserted, I can only assume their business model involves extracting payment before revealing their laptop hostility and showing customers the door. The empty café speaks volumes about their customer treatment.

Great Vibes & Even Better Coffee** I frequent Camp North End often, but this was my first time stopping into Hex Coffee, and it lived up to the hype. I went in around 1 p.m. to get some work done, and it wasn’t overly crowded, which made for a chill atmosphere. Ordering was easy, and they bring your drink to you once you’ve found a spot. There’s **plenty of seating both indoors and outside**, which is a huge plus. It can get a little noisy if folks nearby are chatting, so I’d recommend bringing headphones if you’re there to focus. I ordered a **latte with almond milk**, and it was spot-on. Smooth, flavorful, and just what I needed. I’ll definitely be back—this is a solid spot to sip, work, or just vibe.

Great lunch spot with friendly counter service, plenty of tables, excellent natural wine by the glass (or bottle, with a minimal corkage fee). My photo is of the pork belly rice porridge - absolutely delicious and spicy. I will be back for $8 glasses of wine on Thursdays and $15 chicken sando + glass of wine meal deal on Wednesdays.

Hex Coffee is an absolute gem in Charlotte's coffee scene! The beans they use are pure gold, and even if you're usually into milky coffees, trust me, you've got to try their pure brew. It's a flavor explosion, with fruity notes and layers of goodness. Also, their draft vanilla latte is a must-try for everyone - lightly sweetened with natural vanilla notes. They have one of my favorite seasonal coffees, the Mexican mocha. It's so festive and warming because of the hot pepper. The food there is pretty good in general, but their avocado toast left me feeling a bit meh. As a self-proclaimed avocado toast connoisseur, I was underwhelmed by the lackluster avocado spread. More avocado, please! Hex's interior is on another level of chic and thoughtful! The Japanese-style wooden room with trees creates a serene vibe, while the main room with vibrant blue tables adds a pop of fun. Even when there are many people, you can find a cozy nook for some solo coffee bliss. Hex Coffee, you've got a special place in my coffee-loving heart!

I love this location and all the available seating areas indoor and outdoor. When it comes to the choices of the coffee it's pretty basic menu but for a nice latte it's not too bad. The staff we had was not helpful when it came to ordering and was not super friendly. She was the only person working so I assumed she may have just been overworked and stressed. So I gave her the benefit of the doubt. The latte was pretty and tasty just was not hot.

A friend and I came here on a Sunday morning with her almost 2 year old. There was plenty of space inside with small tables and chairs on one side of the space. In the other side of the space, there was a room with steps and plugs and a few seats against the window for work spaces. This was the kid space for sure and a great place to wrangle the toddler in one room. The coffee menu was basic and offered the typical finds. My friend and I got vanilla lattes and enjoyed the smooth flavor of the coffee beans. We got a fruit cup for the toddler and she enjoyed the pineapple and strawberries! After we ordered they gave us a table number and brought the drinks and food to us about 5 minutes later. They he space wasn't too busy when we arrived at 9am, but got busier around 10am when we left. Most of the shops and restaurants open at 12pm on Sunday, so there wasn't too much to do when we arrived as early as we did. Parking is easy to come by on the roads around camp Northend (2 hour parking) or in the garage (first 3 hours free). Overall, we would come here again during a time more places are open, hoping to walk and enjoy the weather and coffee.

Really like this place! The coffee is smooth and flavorful, also tried out the reserve list green tea and it was delicious! There is so much seating and it's a great place to work during the day and you'll find many people working quietly. The service was quick and friendly! The inside has a bright, clean and industrial feel which I enjoyed! Definitely will make this a regular spot for doing school work

Ambiance: I would describe this place as hipster warehouse millennial core. Of course, this is Camp North End so everything is warehouse and that vibe. The vibe is more sterile than cozy, but it's not a bad thing. The center of the shop is where you order coffee, the one side is tables and chairs, the opposite side is a kind of free form stair seating with some window facing stools. Password as of Nov 2023 to "Hex Guest WiFi" is "foursixfournine" Food/Drink Vanilla iced latte was my drink, and it was smaller than I'd like it to be for the price, but was delicious. The rice porridge was very tasty, the pork was quite tender. Definitely pop by if you're in Camp North End and want a pick me up, or just need a place to work, study, or meet up.

Stopped in today with a group of friends during Camp North Ends Mistletoe Market and was very pleasantly surprised. This was my first trip here and I can't wait to come back. It's huge inside, brightly lit with lots of seating. They have a fun seating area with plants and step seating. As well as traditional seating. I love how the checkout area is kind of a bar setup it's very open in here and inviting. I really do plan to come back to sit and work. I ordered the hot chocolate with oat milk and it was absolutely divine!!! The staff was great and it's just so beautiful in there. Can't wait to go back!

Stellar service, stellar coffee, stellar food. Staff was ready to take my order before I even decided what I wanted while it was busy. Perfect example of what every business should strive for.

The only reason I won't give this place more stars is the staff was rude - VERY RUDE! Anytime someone spends money in support of your business show them some appreciation! Sheesh Their coffee beans come in a box ! We are excited about the flavor of the beans we bought as it boasts cherry flavors n choc - can't go wrong with that. Lol This place is located in Camp North End and is new n trendy and buzzing!

While working an event nearby, I came here to order my team a much-needed afternoon pick-me-up. I had a large order, but the team was patient as I placed it and worked through it speedily and accurately. The ambiance is hip and minimalist. All the spaces were clean and tidy, with the hum of people working and connecting. I opted for an iced vanilla oat milk matcha, which was delicious. I recommend this place if you're in or near Camp North End for a little pick-me-up.

Excellent and beautiful coffee shop in Camp North End, serving up great coffee, food and natural wine. Someone took their time with the interior design here, beautiful and unique inside and out. Even the bathroom was well done, and we know how some great places really miss the mark there. We were only in N Carolina for a few days so we were wanting to try something from as many places as possible. All that to say, I wanted to try everything here but settled on just coffee. Nye' and I both ordered Americanos. Her's with Oat and mine with Almond and an add shot. They were amazing and served in a classy glass. We sipped our Americanos outside on the cement planks, repurposed into seating. It was a beautiful day and the barista was kind enough to bring our order outside to us. We pushed off to breakfast and I'm missing Hex Coffee already. See you soon Hex.

Hex = high quality coffee & food in a cool space. Located inside Camp North End, the cafe offers a variety of seating options (outdoor, tables, stadium). To drink, we got two draft vanilla lattes, which the friendly staff member explained is their cold brew, house-made vanilla syrup, and whole milk (she said it's very popular, and folks come in just to get this). However, if you're avoiding dairy, they also can make you a vanilla latte with an alternative milk; it just wouldn't be made with cold brew or on draft. Their brunch menu offers a variety of Japanese-inspired fare. I ordered the kaarage & waffles (a brunch special) which was a white miso waffle with kaarage fried chicken on top. It was both sweet and savory with some unexpected flavors as well. Delicious, and a great portion! My hubs got the brekky sando, which has sausage, egg, cheese and an awesome Kewpie mayo sauce all on an English muffin. It hit the spot, and I look forward to hitting up this spot again and again!

Kelp it simple with a hot green tea and honey. It was flavorful, the staff was nice and the inside was very chic!

Absolutely loved this coffee shop. There is plenty of seating and a variety of seating styles. Plenty of food and beverage items, including wine and mimosas. Great customer service, clean bathrooms. Plenty of parking. I would recommend that if going on a weekend, you arrive earlier as it gets pretty crowded around lunchtime.

This is one of my go to coffee shops! They have quality coffee and great small bites. I often come to work for a couple hours in the morning and grab a yogurt parfait or my fav the brekky sandwich. Highly recommend to check it out and explore Camp Northend.

Super cute atmosphere, yet the main reason I came was to study. The WiFi was slow and choppy. The price is pretty high. The yogurt is $10 and the vanilla iced latte was around $7. They both were tasty but nothing I would rave about. It's also loud as the place gets pretty busy and people are conversing. The place did have ample sitting room with charging stations and parking was not a problem!

Loving Hex's new spot in camp northend. It's spacious, good working environment, great service, food and drinks are delicious. Their food menu is amazing, it's Japanese influenced, so there's a great twist many favorites. I LOVE taro, and was so ecstatic to see it on their menu. And obviously choose to get that. It was delicious, filling, and the fresh fruit and granola spiced with cardamom...chefs kiss. The space is also clean and well light, with also tons of natural sunlight coming in.

Had the most delicious vanilla latte on a chilly fall morning. It was the perfect ratio of sweet vanilla to creamy coffee/latte. I opted to get this drink hot. It was served the perfect temperature.. ready to drink. Overall, a simple menu as others have noted. However, based off my one drink, it seems the quality here far overcomes the quantity of drinks offered. 2 lattes came to $9 and change. Friendly service. A few seats available inside, but lots of seating outside around camp north end. Will definitely return. My new favorite drink!

Nice little coffee spot! Gets crowded fast! We ordered sourdough and butter along with yogurt bowl/granola--- it was delicious. Prices are a bit high in my opinion but we like the location.

Best matcha in Charlotte!! They put a lot of time and precision into making sure it's well mixed. Haven't tried their food yet but I'm looking forward to it!

I really wanted to live this place because I've been on the hunt for a really good coffee spot. I have been looking for the "trifecta" of coffee shops as I call it. A trifecta would have: great coffee, great breakfast/brunch items, and really nice ambiance. Hex had decent coffee, I wouldn't say it was bad by any means, but it wasn't amazing either. The ambience was the high point. It is very sleek, modern, clean. Nice spots and corners to sit. The breakfast is where it fell short for me though in the end. The menu looks really promising and has really unique items and as well as some classics with a trust. We tried the waffle with mascarpone and some sort of seasonal fruit spread with coriander candy. The mascarpone was good, and the spread was good too until you got a bite with too much and then it kinda overwhelmed your mouth. My sister got the avocado toast and it was actually just not good. It had Avocado, Daikon, Nori Furikake, Shiso, Tomato Miso, Lime. The nori really overwhelmed the toast unfortunately. Maybe we just picked a couple of off items, I'd definitely go and try something else because I normally do like unique items with an advanced palate. Maybe we will go another time.

This was my first time visiting HEX and I enjoyed the experience. The location is very convenient on Camp Road with ample parking nearby. The server, Libby was very nice and had great recommendations. I tried the Korrokke but it did not deliver for me. Although the Vanilla Latte did. MMM MMM, I could have ordered another of those but no one needs that much caffeine. You should definitely try this coffee house, it is good and in a great location.

Stumbled upon this coffee shop while taking a stroll through Camp North End, and did not expect to love it this much. The taste of the coffee beans themselves are so smooth but bold. Service is amazing, baristas are helpful and enjoy what they do. And the building itself is beautiful, very modern and industrial. Perfect spot for remote work, studying, or hanging out with friends. I will definitely be back for more!

I came here for the coffee but was blown away by the food and ambiance! The Karaage was divine, and the Brekky Sandwich was also delicious. Inside has really peaceful vibes. Only downside is that dogs can't come inside. There are tables outside of you brought a dog.

Two for two Gave it another run ..disappointing. HEX used to be top 3 espresso bars in CLT . I was one of the first customers when they have opened the first location in South End. I remember the days when JM was in charge...

Yesterday afternoon I visited Hex Coffee in Camp North End. I ordered a glass of Orange wine, recommended by a nice employee with dark hair and a mustache. It was a perfect selection for a lazy, rainy day. The spot is a work friendly environment and the music was great for not competing with your thoughts. My friend ordered coffee, which she thoroughly enjoyed. I would definitely recommend for a pit stop when visiting Camp North End.

Hot latte here is pretty dang good. Had great texture throughout the drink. I've gone multiple times and it's been consistent. Haven't tried the food though. The staff are quiet but they seem friendly. It's also in a really good spot to walk around.

Camp North End has a plethora of great spots and more than one location to grab a cup of coffee. I highly recommend Hex Coffee, it's a small location next to a paper shop (also a cool shop) and they offer a small menu of very well made drinks. The service is quick and run by one or two people. I had an iced vanilla latte with almond milk and it was perfect. One of my friends had the draft version and said it was really good as well but he preferred the one I got just a bit more for some extract flavor. There is some seating there and some more outside but you'll probably end up grabbing a coffee and taking it for a walk. I was so disappointed. The staff was incredibly rude and my coffee wasn't that good. I ordered a vanilla latte and it had a funky taste to it. There were ants crawling at our bar top area (and this was on a day when it was only 18 degrees outside). I think the area is fun and trendy, but I will not be returning to Hex.

This coffee shop is near the water tower in Camp North End with an easily accessible stall by their open garage door. You can taste the quality of the coffee! We ordered two iced vanilla lattes. We thoroughly enjoyed our drink on a hot day. Check them out when visiting Camp North End.

My first visit to Hex & loving my mocha with oat. Mellow and soft atmosphere inside with warehouse vibe view of outside. Heard they're moving to a larger space soon with Camp North End campus.

The Vanilla Latte was everything on a beautiful stroll through Camp North End. Everyone was wearing their mask and social distance is being practiced and encouraged with the floor markings. I was also excited that they offer both Oat and Almond Milk (this is still something to get excited about because it's not an option everywhere yet). For $5 or less, come check them out and enjoy some sun while you're at it. SYOY!

It would've been nice to try the coffee, but we never ordered because we were never acknowledged as we entered and waited. Their threeperson staff was chatting with a customer while one was making a drink. No one made any eye contact after we reviewed the menu and continued to wait for their conversation to end. We left after realizing we were just being ignored in a nearly empty coffee shop. This is the least hospitable place I've ever been to in Charlotte during 2 to 3 dozen trips over 18 years. Try Wentworth & Fenn or stop by Summit Coffee, Amelie's, Smelly Cat Rhino Market or Salud in NoDa.

I make most of my coffee at home but I've started buying hex coffee beans now that I live in the area as they are roasted a few doors away. Highly recommend if you are looking for good, unique, local coffee beans (or just simply a coffee). Hex is also located in Camp North End so a great space to grab a coffee and sit outside in their vast open space (especially during covid).

This place was great and in such a cool area. I got a dairy free hot chocolate with oatmilk. My husband had a iced vanilla latte. Both were fantastic! Having dairy free options are always a wonderful find.

Great addition to Camp North end and now they are open during the week and weekends serving coffee! My husband and I live across the street and originally got coffee here back in the Spring. I ended up ordering the draft oak milk latte, which was delicious. At the time they did not have ice so it was served in a very small glass but the quality of the coffee made me every forget about it! We went back just last weekend and I'm happy to report they have ice now lol! This time I got a iced vanilla latte. It was soooo good! Again I was very impressed with the quality of the coffee. I was also happy to see the line that was formed outside of people waiting for coffee too! Due to COVID they currently have a to go order window setup so you can't walk inside, but they have a good amount of seating outside! So excited to see Hex grow in this space and more to come to Camp North End!

Hex coffee is a quaint little coffee shop at Camp North End. Great for us Non-drinkers who want a little sip sip while we are hanging out. We stopped by Hex at the camp crawl while we sat and listened to Jook Band headline.....they were fantastic... but so was this Mocktail that we got at Hex while we relaxed on a warm Saturday night. Give this small business some BUSINESS....LOL....they are deserving! Thanks for staying open during Covid. Hope our contributions help :-)

I've been a couple of times to Hex Coffee, It's a neat venue and a friendly enough staff, but their coffee and coffee products just don't do it for me.

Awesome coffee roaster with a more "limited" menu, but definitely higher quality coffee. They have a unique shop with a little seating area to do work or catch up with a friend. Behind the seating area is where they actually store the coffee beans. The whole area it is located in is a more hipster vibe with interesting shops. I got the draft iced latte which was incredible. I also noticed the baristas making unique hot lattes with intricate designs.

Absolutely delicious coffee. Best local roasters in Charlotte. And our barista Nat was the nicest person ever. Loved it!

Best latte I've had in CLT since moving here from a very busy California coffee scene. Chill atmosphere and totally dog friendly inside. Decent pastries, too.

I'm not sure if this was an off day for them or what. My husband ordered plain black coffee and it was average. I ordered a mocha iced latte and I swear the almond milk was either sour or the mocha was off. Either way must have been an off day

My fav coffee shop in CLT! I almost exclusively drink only hex coffee at this point. I buy their coffee beans to make coffee at home. The quality is unmatched and the people working here are always SO nice and knowledgeable! They make their own vanilla syrup and the draft vanilla lattes are exceptional.

The best coffee in Charlotte! The nutty aroma is fantastic. I always get hot / iced almond milk latte. Definitely recommend!
