The 20 Best Restaurants in Waikiki, Hawaiʻi | Eater

"Putting swings at the bar is either a brilliant idea or the worst idea; discover the answer for yourself at Heyday, hidden in the courtyard of a low-slung hotel recently renovated to emphasize its moody midcentury vibes and poolside patio. Choose one of four mai tai variations, or just go for the boozy slushy of the day. For food, find snacks like cheesy toast or sandwiches, including a fried mahi mahi number that’s like a fancy-ish Filet-o-Fish. At night, seek out the Green Lady Cocktail Room in room No. 8, one part dark lounge, one part palm-fringed courtyard. Vibe check: Mellow pool bar (read: nice-ish plastic cups)." - Martha Cheng

Had a great time here. I saw the photos online and thought it looked like a fun spot to hit for happy hour on our vacation, and it definitely was. The drinks can be a bit pricey if not happy hour, but they were certainly strong — if that's your thing! We didn't order food, so I can't speak to that, but the vibes were great and the service was friendly and attentive. Heyday is connected to a hotel and is right by its pool. I'd say the primary selling point aside from the drinks would be the fun/unique setup of swings at the bar and proximity to the pool. Would hit it up again if I'm ever in Waikiki/Honolulu!

Located inside of white sands hotel. We visited this spot and fell in love with the decor. Even checked out their speakeasy green lady. Loved the vibes but the service all around was a bit lacking. Pretty good drinks! Definitely a cute theme.

Spring roll and banana lumpia are amazing! I went to happy hour. Zack’s service was great too. Nice little spot to grab some food, drinks and swing away by their pool.

I travel to Waikiki semi-frequently. When in town we usually visit the same bars and restaurants. We found Heyday while walking around one afternoon and decided to stop in. I’m glad we did, we felt like we discovered a hidden gem. We were treated to wonderfully crafted cocktails and conversation by our bartenders Kendall and Mason. The pool-side atmosphere and bar side swings are unforgettable. The food selection was also a big hit with our group. I will definitely be coming back the next time I am in town.

It’s a little intimidating at first, but if you just ignore that it’s totally fine. The swing bar seating may run some people the wrong way, but I really liked it—it was relaxing and felt like it took a load off standing all day. The drinks were good, although I agree with those who day the Mai tais have too much ice. I preferred the daiquiri, and I went with the bartender’s recommendations for less sweet and more spiced and complex. The seared ahi looked plain, but they did a really nice job with a bit of sauce and wasabi underneath, and a big pile of horseradish. The cheesy bread was tasty and not a crazy amount of food. The drinks are on the pricy side for Oahu, probably average for Waikiki, but the food was average/reasonable, especially the happy hour menu 12-6pm. Drinks were made quickly, but no one was in a rush, which was fine.

Google
Exceptional bar located inside the White Sands Hotel, excellent selection of house cocktails in an authentic tropical outdoor environment. Too often a "Tiki Bar" is just a kitschy gimmick, but this is not the case. Highly recommend the seared ahi. Not to be confused with their other bar "The Green Lady"

Google
Note: Kitchen & happy hour opens at 3pm, not 2pm as seen on the old menu pics. Great service from Toby the bartender. Try the Swingin’ 75 cocktail. Amazing extra crispy steak fries. Onion dip & sliders were tasty. Loved that the had bottles & glass pours of Dr. Konstantin Frank Riesling from NY. The swings at the bar will comfortably hold 250+ pounds each.

Google
This is an oasis in this part of Waikiki. It’s an upscale but casual little spot with excellent drinks, tasty lil pupus, and staff that are attentive but not all up in your space. They have a solid happy hour menu and are located in the white sands hotel.

Yelp
the ultimate spot for a fun and relaxed evening. With its charming and quirky swings that replace traditional bar stools, it creates a playful atmosphere that's perfect for unwinding after a long day. The happy hour deals are fantastic, offering a wide variety of craft cocktails and local beers at unbeatable prices. We especially enjoyed their signature mule cocktail, which was both refreshing and flavorful. The bartenders are friendly and skilled, ensuring that every drink is a delight. Whether you're swinging with friends or solo, Hey day offers a unique experience that you won't want to miss.

Yelp
This bar is so cute with their swings, especially at night! It had a very chill vibe and was a nice place to hang out. Personally, I thought the drinks were kinda strong. The location does feel random because its the pool bar at the White Sands hotel.

Yelp
Cool bar and cafe. It's located in a center of a courtyard with lots of plants and super cool retro. The bar had about a half dozen swing chairs. The back deck is located next to a koi pond so the ambience is awesome. Service was excellent staff was super friendly. The drinks were good and unique and the food was solid bar food. Prices were reasonable. I highly recommend recommend this place to chill and relax.

Yelp
Cutest little bar by the pool of a hotel. The swing seats were really cool (even if my non existent abs were sore the next day) and made for a nice photo op. Didn't get any food but the couple of drinks I had were really great and the service was good as well.

Yelp
Stunning little hidden gem nestled inside a hotel courtyard. This bar has a pool, hot tub, garden and swings for seats. They really leaned into Hawaiian tiki culture and the drinks really sell the fantasy. You have to walk a bit off the beaten path in Waikiki to get to itc but don't be discouraged by the neighborhood.

Yelp
Jamie W. and I were told Heyday was a gay bar. They were wrong. No, it's one of those outdoor hotel tiki bars next to the swimming pool. It's the White Sands Hotel on Nohohani in Waikiki, and to make you feel like an outsider, they make you walk a longish tunnel past the registration desk, and onto the lanai crowded with guests on chaise lounges. The bar is a circular outdoor bamboo hut, but instead of stools, they installed swings. It sounds like a cute idea, but they were rather awkward to climb on. I could well imagine drunken tushes on the concrete from a failure to mount the swing. Luckily we didn't face that dilemma as we ordered our libations. They offered several mai tais and even a build-your-own-daiquiri option. We went with two of their lookalike $16 poolside cocktails. Jamie went for their basic Pina Colada, while I ordered the Zicatela Lifeguard, a blend of mezcal, habanero, coconut, pineapple, and orange (photo: https://yelp.to/T9R_y-0EVP). Both were tropically appropriate and tasty, though the bartender filled our glasses with so much ice it diluted the drinks. Gee, I think I need help getting off this swing. COCKTAILS - 3 stars...too much ice to fully satisfy AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...well, the hut was nice but oh, those swings SERVICE - 3 stars...bartender was preoccupied TOTAL - 3 stars...tiki yes, gay no RELATED - Exploring Hawaii? Yelp
So this bar was actually not on my list, completely didnt notice it during planning somehow - but the speakeasy attached to the same hotel (Green Lady) was, so I ended up here, the first time, while looking for the entrance to the speakeasy next door. When I saw they had a mai tai with mamaki tea-infused rum on the menu, though, I had to stop and try it on my way. It's $19, though so I wouldn't necessarily recommend it - it *was* a wonderfully-built mai tai, but it didn't taste particularly tea-infused. For fancy stuff I'd probably recommend Green Lady over Heyday. Anyway, I also noticed while I was there, that they also have a pretty solid happy hour on basic cocktails for $8 until 6 (also one $6 draft beer) - funny enough, the next day my wife happened to be looking for a place to get cheap drinks around 5 PM, and Heyday being only a couple blocks from our hotel, I was like... I know a place! Was much happier paying $8 for a cocktail than $19, though admittedly the mai tai was much fancier. Was a solid daiquiri though. (My wife's moscow mule, though, I agree with her, was more ice than drink.) I did also love the vibe of the place, out by the pool, with swings for most of the seats (they do have a few normal seats, though). Definitely feels like you're on vacation.

Yelp
Tucked away at the ground floor of the White Sands hotel is their bar with swings! It's a fairly small space with a few tables around the bar next to the hotel pool. They have live music in the evening though. if you are looking for a place with a chill vibe with a hint of fun, this is your place! Bar menu has your usual bar food and prices aren't too crazy! if you do want to snatch a spot at the bar with the swings, go before 5pm! i was there around 6pm on a Monday and all the bar seats were taken! And also note there is a speakeasy here too but it's closed on Mondays!

Yelp
The food is wonderful, I usually order sides but everything I've tried has been really good. Come visit Zach & Dakota . They have swings at the bar but don't drink too much to get silly. Just a great vibe & chill if u want just decompress with a great cocktail. They have tables and regular barstools as well if you're not into the swings. Music is very soothing , koi pond.

Yelp
Great little spot off the beaten path with swing seats at the bar. How cool is that. Just don't fall off like one guy did, lol. No worries, he's fine. Got back on the swing saddle and continued drinking. They serve food, but we didn't order any. Great service and well made cocktails, not overly sweet.

Yelp
Such a wonderful day spent at Heyday for lunch and drinks with friends. 5/5 for service and for the great drinks and food. We like to eat family style so we can share lots of different plates so we ordered all different dishes and believe me when I say everything was so good. Mason was our bartender and he was working solo with a smile on his face taking care of absolutely everyone else at the bar. RJ another employee at the hotel was so helpful when we asked him a few questions and helped us out. He was so friendly and helpful. What a great afternoon. Mahalo for the amazing customer service. If you want to know what we ate we had the ono sandwich (my favorite), mani sandwich, French fries, coconut shrimp with fried rice and chicken sandwich along with cocktails and all cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Mahalo.

Yelp
Great happy hour prices. Vibes at the tiki hut is so cute as the seats are swings! I got the burger and it was delicious, perfectly cooked patty and fries. The bar tender was super chill, made the most balanced and refreshing mai tai I've ever had! The service was great and swift!

Yelp
Nestled away from the hustle of Waikiki is this timepiece of a place. You will walk past the resection desk and into the pool area where I found one of the favorite attractions - the pool bar and it has swings for seats! You can tell this was a hold out from the heyday of Waikiki. It's clean and well presented but it's not modern as compared to similar nearby establishments. So if you want something different for a stay or a drink, this should be on the list!
google avatar

Yelp
What a rat's hole. The place is within a old, dirty hotel next to a tattoo parlor. When you walk in you get the smell of mold. This place's 'heyday' was back in the 60s. Ugh.
google avatar

Yelp
Heyday is an open-air bar at the White Sands Hotel in Waikiki but you don't need to stay at the hotel to enjoy it. The novel thing about this bar: it's a bamboo bar with swings as seats! You can swing on them as you sip on your drinks which makes for a different experience, but of course there are tables if you don't want to. My first drink was the house daiquiri ($12). There were two options and I chose the daiquiri number fun, which was served up and Cuban style. It was pretty tart with hints of lychee and lilikoi. My second drink was the beachside mai tai ($15) which was sweet and strong. I saw a good amount of alcohol added (maybe 3oz) which is always nice. My third drink was the 1944 mai tai ($17) which was on the tart side but mostly balanced. It's a lesser known bar and inside a hotel so it's more quiet and peaceful. I talked to bartender Toby who also mentioned the Green Lady Cocktail Lounge which is open Wednesday to Sunday at 8pm and focuses more on spirit-forward cocktails and less on rum and fruity drinks. Heyday was a chill place to hang out for a couple hours.
google avatar

Megan H.

Yelp
Sneaky hotel bar with swings! Loved swinging around and talking to the bartender and some guests while sipping on a cocktail. I also had the happy hour Smoked Ono Slider which was awesome! It's essentially a Mayo-based fish salad on a bun, but it was super crisp, light and flavorful. The bar tender was experienced, friendly and fast. I'll be checking this hotel out as a possible place to stay if I can make it back to Oahu.

Yelp
I have been excited to try Heyday for sometime and finally got to due to a family member's birthday. Heyday is located in the White Sands Hotel; the whole place is a blast from the past in the best ways. The entrance is covered in green plants and bamboo; restrooms are to the right, hotel check in counter to the left. The hotel staff is welcoming; be sure to ask about their new speakeasy, the Green Lady. Through the back you can't miss the pool area with oversized comfy chairs, umbrella tables, and of course the Heyday Bar. It's a round tiki bar with wooden swings instead of bar stools. There are a few high tops all around it as well, hot tub beyond. The bar has a few draft beer selections, some wines, and their signature cocktail menu. All the bartenders were equally friendly; they serve you at the high tops or sitting at the bar. Prices are a little high but in line with Waikiki. This is a special place, really worth your time for a classic Waikiki experience!

Yelp
Divey little pool bar with friendly and attentive bartenders. It's chill and has a good happy hour with food and drinks. Mixed and tropical available too. They get a little pricey we but not bad. Menu looks pretty solid. I had some coconut shrimp and tempura green beans. The beans were awesome! Food exceeded expectations for a divey little hotel pool bar. Super casual place, it's a pool bar right. Bordering on dumpy but it's just right if you ask me.

Yelp
Didn't try the food here, was out and about quite often but the menu looked wonderful! We stopped by for a drink twice, and came by twice to enjoy drinks poolside as well. We only interacted with two different men all four times we went there, both of them very nice and friendly. The environment truly depends on the time of day and weather. If it's super sunny there's usually a lot of kids being loud at the pool. And if it's later at night then the bar and tables are filled so there's a lot of noise and often live music. None of that bothered me, but I know some people like to enjoy a drink in the quiet which you'll only get here if you come early! The swings are so much fun too but if they aren't your cup of tea you can order at or move to a table.
google avatar

Yelp
Mason is a great bartender, took great care of us! Love the Too Many Moons cocktail, so pretty and yummy. Recommend getting there around opening if you want a swing seat, they fill up fast
google avatar

Timothy T.

Yelp
Palm Springs poolside vibes in Hawai'i. Great happy hour, however, not all of their draft beers are happy hour prices. I wish the menu would have noted it since I ordered multiple beers thinking it was. My Gf and I came here twice cause we really enjoyed the poolside bar with swing seating.
google avatar

Bianca J.

Yelp
Got a recommendation to try this pool bar and came back three times throughout our trip. Highly recommend anything on the food and drinks menu, but the service made each experience truly outstanding. Kendall and Dakota understand hospitality and went above and beyond to create an amazing experience for us. The live music, koi pond, and atmosphere make this a spot a must-see.
google avatar

Kristen S.

Yelp
My honey and I keep stumbling upon this gem around happy hour, which has been fabulously run by Mason behind the bar. We're huge fans of Feht, and when we heard about Heyday a few years ago, we became instant fans and recommend it to all our visitors! Off the busy areas of Waikiki, there's a great retro beach vibe at the pool, and your occasional drag brunch events! Daiquiris are our drink of choice, but everything on their menu is quite delicious and boozy! Also love love love the bar swings! So unique and fun
google avatar

Yelp
I am flabbergasted that this place hasn't exploded in popularity yet. The vibe is next level! It seems to be the only bar on island with the swing chairs, which should be plenty reason to bring the crowds, but their cocktail and food menu is also incredible. You can make reservations on Open Table, however the bar swings are first-come, first-serve. We did make reservations, but ended up lucking out and finding four seats together at the bar, which was exactly what we wanted. The pool area is gorgeous, so anywhere you sit would be enjoyable. Cocktails; impeccable. The bartenders are all very obviously experienced and have mastered the craft cocktail skills. The mezcal cocktail was my favorite, followed by their mai tai. However, they make a killer Aperol Spritz as well! Food; you must try the Foie Gyoza. We also had the cheesy toast which was delicious, the shrimp toast, the meatballs and the onion dip. The gyoza was by far the best! Here's a piece of advice; check it out!!
google avatar

Allyssa P.

Yelp
We stopped based on a recommendation but the experience was okay. I was sold on the swings at the bar, because who wouldn't be? Lol but that's where the excitement really ends. Bar was super busy on Mother's Day and they only had one bartender. I felt bad for her because it was so busy and it was hot. She made our drinks as quick as possible but they weren't that great. I watched her make a drink, taste it and then just shrugged like "eh, this'll do" lol it wasn't my drink but I found it really funny to see. We ordered their meatballs and a Cesar salad, but I wish we hadn't. The wait was over 40 mins for the two small dishes. I'm not sure if they're understaffed or what, but man... Meatballs we're good. They had an Asian twist and I really liked the glaze on the outside. Cesar salad was okay. I think it needed more dressing and the croutons were stale. Not worth the $16. Honestly, I shouldn't have taken a stranger up in his recommendation. Lol

Yelp
HeyDay is one of my favorite local spots to meet friends, listen to live music, and get a bite and drink. The ambiance is casual and friendly. The quality of service can vary depending on server which seems to change week to week. I've had some really great servers and some not so great. It doesn't bother me too much because I mostly go for the music and to meet friends, the food and drink are secondary.
google avatar

Yelp
I tried this place during my stay at White Sands hotel. Once for lunch and once for dinner. The venue was adorable, all of the swings around the bar, the umbrellas with that orange trim and the little waterfall tucked away behind the bar. Very Instagram worthy! It's absolutely gorgeous. The food was forgettable, some of it was overpriced and what I got was just okay. I wouldn't come here for food again but I would get drinks! I ordered they heyday house salad for lunch which I enjoyed! For dinner, I ordered the B.O.L.T and that was just okay, tasted a bit bland and does not come with any sides. I ordered the Fete 75 which was delicious and refreshing. Would definitely come back and order that again. The service was also not to die for, service to begin with took very long and everything took awhile to come out. Both times I was there it was not busy and not everyone ordered food. There were only a couple of people working so that could be why. If you want to make reservations for this place, OpenTable has reservations but don't bother doing so before 5:00 PM. There is no hostess and your reservation doesn't matter since you have to seat yourself. After 5:00 PM, they take reservations and there is a hostess. This hotel only has about 15 parking spaces and is taken by hotel guests so to dine here you want to find street parking or park in a lot.

Yelp
Dakota anticipated my every need, made delicious, cocktails, and made great conversation. He made me feel like I was at home even though I am away from home. I will recommend heyday to all my friends! Thank you, Dakota..

Yelp
One of the nicest most relaxing places in Waikiki. Zach and all the staff here are kind, friendly and real people. Happy hour is noon to 6 daily and if not the best in the area it's among them. I've become a regular hotel guest here because of the people, value, location and style.
google avatar

Tom G.

Yelp
Stopped by on our way home from the beach, Super casual.. Got a couple seats on the swings around the bar. The staff, "Amber & Jordon" could not be more friendly! We ordered a Caesar salad that was tossed to perfection and large enough to share. It was served with full leaf Romaine, loads of Parmesan cheese and home made flat croutons that were excellent. We had a couple glasses of Chardonnay to go with it. Apparently at 5pm they play: "Tiny Bubbles" and they have a small bubble machine by the pool that shoots bubbles across the pool! Lol All and all a fun place and the decor could not be better.
google avatar

Michelle A.

Yelp
Nice outdoor patio vibe and a great live DJ. The drinks were just ok but the pool view was nice.
google avatar

Nyra C.

Yelp
There's so much to like about this place. I could stay here forever. The breeze hits just right through this tropical paradise. I Felt like I was visiting my youth but on better terms and in a more inviting atmosphere. Bartenders were professional. One customer would've made me lose my cool but not them. They are also very careful with covid protocols. If you're at the beach and want to take a break, do something different, this is a great option, like a vacation within a vacation. If you're local and want a different scene, Heyday is just right. Drinks are a little overpriced (like they are either larger or served on Waikiki beach) but they are beautiful and on point. Definitely will come back to stay at the hotel!

Yelp
Our world tour continued, this time at the Heyday at the White Sands Hotel on Nohonani St. Heyday Pool Bar is a creation from Chuck Bussler and Robynne Maii of the very popular Honolulu restaurant Fete and features a cocktail program by local mixologists, Dave Power and Kyle Reutner. We started with a half-bottle of 2017 Cristom Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley (OR). It was a decent wine but drinking out of plastic tumblers was a turn off for me. I understand the reason for plastic as our table was close to the pool. However, they need to rethink serving drinks in plastic cups. We ordered three appetizers: Kalbi-Glazed Meatballs, Foie Gyoza and the Heyday Vegan Lumpia. The meatballs came with cucumber namul and daikon kimchi; they were a step up from run of the mill meatballs. The Foie Gyoza were very good, containing a herbed duxelles and served with a balsamic reduction. The vegan lumpia were delicious; the surprise of the trio. It was served with a papaya ketchup. It didn't taste like papaya or ketchup; whatever it was, it was good. We split an order of the Heyday Primavera after our server spoke highly of it. It contained very sweet cherry tomatoes, zucchini, haricots verts, oyster mushrooms and a very savory sauce over perfectly cooked bowtie pasta. It was delicious but we wanted to save room for dessert so it went into a takeout container. We split a Caramelized Pineapple Turnover served with vanilla ice cream. The turnover was crunchy and the filling not too sweet, just right. I had a double espresso served in a large paper cup; the second turn-off for me. There is no reason they couldn't have used a ceramic espresso cup. What did we think? The décor is laid back 50's Hawaii; sort of a toned down Hawaiian Eye (for those that are old enough to remember that TV show) / La Mariana. The pool is surrounded by swing seating; interesting but not for us. The total was just under $170, including a generous tip, so it can be considered very reasonable for Waikiki. However, I would rather go to Fete in Chinatown than Heyday. Expand the menu a bit and serve drinks in glassware and we will reconsider. Right now, there are better options nearby. One final thought; if you want an inexpensive place to stay in Waikiki, the White Sands Hotel seems to be very well priced.

Yelp
We've been looking for places to suggest for our wedding party to stay at. After coming here this is definitely our favorite. Mason and Sadie made awesome Mai Tais and were super accommodating making for a great atmosphere!
google avatar

Yelp
What a bar! Swings! Cocktails! Grub! Cocktails and Grub on Swings! The atmosphere is beautiful... I love the umbrellas! The atmosphere makes you really get into the vibe. You know you're on vacation when you're sitting at the bar on the swings. Cute decor everywhere. We have been twice and every time we've come... we have been able to grab 3 swings at the bar. Tried cheese bread, salad, hamburger, fries... all delicious and came out at the appropriate time. Rainbow flags made us happy. We are lucky to have found this gem.

Yelp
Tucked away between Kuhio and Ala Wai, there is a hotel called White Sands. I've lived in Waikiki for 10 years and I hadn't heard of this hotel, so it's a little more divey. My friends suggested going to the bar at the hotel, so we went at about 9pm. The entrance is pretty cute. You pass the front desk and walk toward the pool. Next to the pool is a little grass hut with a circular counter around the bar. At 9pm, there were no seats available at the bar, so we sat at a table. The menu is small. I saw some people at the bar eating, but there were only drink options in the menu. I was surprised to see that cocktails were $15-$17 each. Maybe this is the new norm for Waikiki. The waitress was nice, but they quickly let us know that we needed to come up to the crowded bar to order. They would not be serving us at the table. I ordered the daiquiri and it was manini. Like 3 sips and you're done. The cocktails were served in plastic "glasses". At 9:30, they did last call and at 10pm, they collected all the plastic cups and closed. The coolest part of this bar is that they have swings to sit on at the bar. It's cool, but not really worth it if you have to wait and you might only have one drink since they're so expensive. There is no parking in the hotel or on the streets unless you get lucky.

Ed S.

Yelp
Stopped at the bar for drinks and a bite. Dakota was our bartender / server. He was awesome in describing the various drinks. And delivered them quickly. He gets 5 stars. The burger was awesome as was the Mac salad. Go for the fried rice with veggies. It has a nice bite.
google avatar

Deepti S.

Yelp
I don't know how to explain my experience here but it was just really strange. The bar itself is super cute with swings, but we didn't realize it was located in the middle of a tiny hotel in Waikiki next to a small swimming pool. Overall, the vibe made us feel kind of uncomfortable the entire time. The food and drinks were both below average. The drinks were just not good (my two friends and I all ordered 3 different drinks, and all of them weren't great). We also ordered the curry chicken salad sandwiches which were again, not great. Seemed like those kinds of sandwiches you can get at an airport before your flight. The portion was quite big though. The only positive thing I will say is that our bartender was really sweet, and it seemed like she was trying hard to make the drinks to our liking. Other than the nice service, I would not really recommend this spot to anyone - unless you're staying at the hotel itself.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this Narnia-like amazing bar/restaurant by a pool in the center of a 60's retro hotel. I dont usually do reviews but the vibe, friendliness of Zach and rest of staff forced my hand. Seems like there aren't many places in Waikiki like this one. Its tucked away and probably for good reason, establishments like this need to be preserved. Just great energy all over. Circle bar, bar SWINGS, hottub with a waterfall, koi pond, and great music. See what happens when Don Ho's "Tiny Bubbles" plays. The gooey cheesy toast was killer, and try a cocktail with the local distilled Kō Hana rum (a taste I've never experienced before). Ill be staying at The White Sands hotel next time in town just so I can enjoy this bar again. Wish I could pack this place up in my pocket and bring it back to California with me. Thank you HeyDay staff.

Yelp
If you want to be called a B*TCH by your bartender that gave you horrid service, go here! I live here & brought a friend from mainland here, to get first ignored until the end of Happy Hour, while staff gossiped and looked at us, & second, called a "B*TCH" when I asked if he liked his job. Neither of the bartenders working last nite deserve their jobs. The female bartender's greeting after watching us walk in & then ignoring us for over 5 minutes to talk to the guy who called me a b*tch: "Do you know what you want?" Also, there were only 4 customers there. I guess these 2 don't like to work for money...entitled & nasty. Save your money, swing at the park.

Yelp
This place was a great vibe, the live music and cocktails were great. We came in tonight with about 12 people. It was quickly ruined by the bartender with the beard and raspy voice who asked my girlfriend, who was paying the bill with my card, to flash him since he gave us a locals discount, and after she said no, kept pressing the issue remarking about how her top was adjustable. Fuck off.

Yelp
My GF and I came here for drinks on a Friday afternoon because we REALLY wanted to sit on the swings around the bar. Glad we made it because it was so cute and fun! They made a small bar by the pool such a cute instagrammable place that even locals are trekking down into Waikiki! The drinks were yummy but we were definitely most impressed with the environment. Super casual yet super cute. And surprisingly the swings were way more comfy than expected. We each had two drinks each and survived on the swings otherwise it could've gotten a bit dangerous. But hey the things we do for a cure insta pic right? Def the perfect spot for a cute instagram pic!

Yelp
Very cool vintage Hawaiian vibe at this poolside bar with rope swings for bar seating, waterfall hot tub, lounge chairs and great specialty drinks (although they are sort of small). Get a pool view room at White Sands for the complete experience.

Yelp
We wanted to try this place since the menu is curated by Fete and for the totally Instagramable swinging bar Seats. The ambiance , decor etc is super cute. It is all outside so you'll want to check the weather first. It's in the courtyard by the pool. Parking is street parking. 1. Food- the food was okay. Nothing to write home about . It took quite a long time , 2 people got their dishes almost 10 min before the rest of the party and their dishes were cold. 2. Service- our server was so nice and he really was trying his best but I'm pretty sure he was the only server for the whole place. Because of this , service was very slow . 3. Drinks- the cocktails were creative but very small and very expensive. The menu had ingredients like "magic, and happiness " claiming to be a blend of spices or something but I asked what and the server wasn't sure. I personally wanted to know what the "happiness" in my $13-$18 drink was. We ended up trying a few then getting a bottle of wine to save on time and cost. I will say the hostess put a bad taste in our mouth. We had paid our bill sat at the table for maybe 5 minutes saying good byes and exchanging venmos when the hostess in a not so nice tone grabbed everything out from in front of us and said " we have another reservation". I felt it was very rude to rush us we were clearly leaving . The whole reason we were there so long was because our food and drink took FOREVER. It was kind of a kick in the gut to have almost spent $300 to be told we had to leave. They are fairly new so I will be willing to try again.

Yelp
Stayed at the white sands hotel and this small beach bar was amazing. The bartenders are very nice and very attentive. We also ordered the heyday burger and it was amazing!
