Heytea - Review - Beverly Hills - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"The most invigorating purchase you can make on Rodeo Drive isn’t a cryo-facial—it’s fruit tea from Heytea, a small pickup counter stationed among rows of luxury designer storefronts. This boba chain from China specializes in blended fruit drinks that don’t just taste like melted gummy bears, and often draws lines that include at least one YSL bag or pomeranian with a bow. Sure, they have beige milk teas like every other LA boba shop, but here you want the ones swirled with silky chunks of real mango or juicy grapes that float around like Orbeez. And because Heytea pioneered the now-ubiquitous cheese foam trend, many of their drinks are topped with a satisfying layer of sweet-salty fluff that’ll leave you with a mustache. Waits can get long, but you’ll end up with a colorful accessory showing off like a Hermès bag, for much cheaper. photo credit: Jessie Cohen Food Rundown Mango Grapefruit Boom One of Heytea’s bestsellers, this is like drinking a delicious tropical fruit salad. It comes with chewy little sago pearls, chunks of mango that you can slurp up like a pudding, and bits of grapefruit pulp that add a tart punch. photo credit: Jessie Cohen Fluffy Cloud Crisp Grape This is a great one if you’re into cheese foam. The thick layer on top is fluffy like the name suggests and mellows out the tangy grape tea underneath. Skip the straw and sip straight from the lid to get the full sweet-salty-fruity effect before it all blends into a grape cream soda-like concoction. photo credit: Jessie Cohen" - Cathy Park

Heard about HEYTEA from a friend and finally got to try it! They’re known for their all-natural ingredient boba, and you can really tell. We tried the Mango Cloud, Mango Coconut, Mango Grapefruit, Crisp Grape, and the Brown Sugar Boba Original. Liked all of them except the original — it was a bit too basic compared to the others. My favorite was the Mango Coconut — creamy, fruity, and just the right amount of sweetness. In the fruity ones, I liked the Grape the best. Super refreshing with real fruit pieces! It’s definitely pricey once you add toppings, but honestly worth the hype.

Wow wow wow. My cloud green grape was really tasty and refreshing. Now I understand the hype. They were really busy and short on staff so be kind and patient with your order. Another downside was parking. However, I forgot all the downsides with one sip once I got my drink!

This review is based on today experience only. Been going on a regular basis since opening and always been great. Lately I do feel like their quality control isn’t as good as usual. Today went to get their classic boba milk tea - milk tea taste great, no issue but I was not able to eat any of the boba. Opened the lid to find the boba today are just one big piece of clumps - no wonder no boba ball passed through the straw. Very disappointed since part of the craving was boba pearls. 🥺Hopefully it’s a one off

The Fluffy Cloud Crisp Grape is really delicious. Definitely worth trying! The staff who made the drinks and was wearing glasses was super friendly. I ordered 6 drinks, and he said it would take about an hour, but when I came back earlier, the drinks were almost ready. I was really impressed!

Google
I had the WORST customer service experience since coming to the U.S. On July 26, I bought a “Coconut Mango” drink and it was great. On July 27, I bought the same drink again, but the taste was completely different – the mango was SOUR. We had already left the store, so I called right away. I told the staff we didn’t have the receipt but we had just left and they could verify it. They told us it was fine and promised we could get a refund at Saturday we came in. On Saturday, we went back to the store, but a different staff member named Bee was extremely rude and impatient. She demanded the name of the staff who promised the refund – but nobody gave us a name in the first place. Then she refused to help us because we didn’t have the receipt, even though we had already explained this during the initial call and were told it was fine. This is completely unacceptable. Your mango was SOUR – don’t you check the quality of your own ingredients? We wasted our time coming back for a promised refund only to be denied. Why make a promise to a customer if you’re not going to honor it? I want to formally complain about Bee’s attitude and request proper compensation for this terrible experience. This is NOT how Heytea should treat its customers.

Some seriously delicious tea in Northern Beverly Hills. I have known of HeyTea for some time because they’re known for using fresh fruit instead of bottled flavoring. Everyone that I know who has tried it has said the same: it’s very good. We stopped in for our first time this past weekend and we very impressed. Parking is extremely easy in this part of town because there is a free parking garage behind the store with first two hours free parking. The menu is pretty small but they have a ton of great options on it to flavored tea, boba, and ice blended drinks. Everything was made very quickly and they don’t really have tables inside so this is more of a to go place. We wanted to try some classic items so we ordered the classic Brown Sugar Boba, the Grapefruit Boom, and the Strawberry Boom. The Brown Sugar Boba was fantastic and the boba tasted very fresh instead of chewy like it does at some other places. The strawberry and grapefruit drinks were absolutely wonderful and tasted just like the fruits. If you are a fan of fruit flavored tea and drinks you really should try this place because they use actual fruit in their drinks instead of fake flavoring. You can make them sweeter if you want, but I just went with the standard and it was perfect. I would definitely recommend to any Boba or tea fan and I will definitely be back in the near future because I live fairly close by.

I had an amazing experience at HEYTEA, and I have to say, Lance made it unforgettable! Not only was his service incredibly attentive and friendly, but he also carried himself with such charm and professionalism. He patiently helped me pick the perfect drink, and his recommendations were spot on (the peach oolong was divine!). On top of that, he’s super handsome, which added a nice touch to the whole experience! I’ll definitely be coming back, not just for the drinks but for the exceptional service. Thank you, Lance, for making my day extra special!

Yelp
Small storefront in Beverly Hills. I've always noticed a line and on this day - i timed it right as only 2 people were in front of me. I ordered the Cloud Matcha Latte. The staff in the back were hustling to work on all the orders. My drink took about 10 minutes to get out. There's very little room inside to wait for your drink so i stood outside and then moved in when i thought it would be closer to being ready. The drink was delicious and loved how fresh it was! By the time I left - the line was about 20 deep down the block - i can see why people wait for this! While no real seating at this location - i grabbed my drink and continued to explore down Rodeo Drive.

Yelp
"They said the manager of the store would contact me asap, but I still haven't received any response. I can't believe I wasted my time sending an email and waiting like this. Poor customer service..

Yelp
I wanna start off by saying it must have been an off day. I could see/hear an industrial blower in the kitchen & there was a not pleasant smell in the shop. I had a feeling that something was not working properly in the store. The cashier told multiple people they were out of different things. It took 25 MINS for me to get my one drink & this was at 6pm. I see online that Heytea can get busy with lines outside the door to order but this was not the case. There was maybe 5 people ahead of me. This is my first time here so I'm not sure if this is typical but I was frustrated with the WAIT. I felt bad for the workers because they definitely looked a little stressed but there also seemed to be some miscommunication among the staff I got the COCONUT MANGO BOMB & it was very refreshing. The fruit tasted fresh & it was great summer dessert drink. I will definitely come back because I wanna try the TRIPLE MATCHA drink. This location is convenient because of the proximately to Rodeo Drive & all the shopping. I happen to be in the area so I stopped in but perhaps next time I'll try a different location

Yelp
Came back for the brown sugar bobo. It's consistently delicious, and boba has great texture.

Yelp
After trying Hey Tea in NYC, I've been on the lookout anytime I go to a new location! Luckily there was one in Beverly Hills that we could go to on our trip to LA. The wait time was pretty long (25-30mins) and there isn't any seating so you can wait while shopping around the area or standing outside. It would be helpful if they had an option where they texted you when your order was out, since you just had to watch the screen to see when your number would be called. I tried the triple matcha drink with matcha mochi in it. I loved the flavor of the matcha, which wasn't too sweet and the mochi was less chewy than I thought, and more like a jello texture. I don't know if I'd get the mochi jelly next time but I did like the tea and foam on top. The grapefruit tea was also really good, with some pulp in it. The flavor profile seemed on the sweeter side for most of the teas but you can always adjust the sweetness as well.

Yelp
Omg, so good! I'm usually not a fan of cheese foam, but hey tea's cheese foam is mouthwatering and noteworthy. I work around the area so l've already tried their California sunset, mango grapefruit boom, cheese grape boom, and grape boom original *my favorite so far* and I'm excited to try the rest of the menu! They use real fruit and the drinks are not too sweet. There are many public parking lots in the area with free 1-2 hour parking, and the server working in the front is usually bilingual in English and mandarin.

Yelp
Service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 I've always known this spot for having really good tea, and wow the aroma when you walk in does not disappoint. I seriously want a perfume that smells just like this!! The prices are a bit on the higher side, but I totally get the hype. I fell in love with both my matcha and mango drinks their creama is amazing too. Wish I had one closer to where I live!
google avatar

Peter H.

Yelp
You could smell the aroma coming from this place several stores away! I cannot say that about most milk tea stores. Actually I cant even think of another boba shop that would have an aroma that far outside of its doors. This was my first time here and was a little surprised at the prices but decided to give it a shot. I got their matcha drink and was pleasantly surprised to see how much I enjoyed it. They use very high quality matcha. The drink was very delicious and you could tell they put some premium stuff into their products. Even their cup and lid was next level. It's too bad my video won't upload but they have a very cool lid that swivels lol My drink was made very quickly and the service was awesome. They were really professional and courteous. I wish I lived closer so I could come here more often!

Yelp
Small store at Rodeo Drive. it is located at nice area. I just stopped by to get boba. Service was quick and we we got our boba pretty quickly. Many people ordered the guava drink which was very refreshing. Will stop by again when we are in neighborhood.

Yelp
We were in Beverly Hills for Mother's Day, and since I'm always in the mood for boba, I decided that the best way to treat myself would be to find some boba! Luckily, I found this place that was only a few blocks away from our restaurant. I've never had anything like their drinks before. I tried their cloud mulberry strawberry, and it was amazing. I love that you can get it without tea if you need a caffeine-free drink. The fruits were so tasty, and the drink wasn't too sweet. Would love to come back. Allow plenty of time since the place is crowded - very popular

Yelp
Mango coconut boom - 10/10 fresh mango chunks and the perfect level of sweetness, the best mango coconut drink I've Boba Oat milk - 6/10 good but not sure if I'd get it again Parking - street parking, so hard to find. I would only come here if I drove by and saw an open parkinng spot tbh No seating
google avatar

Trisha T.

Yelp
I got the Coconut Mango Boom. You could actually taste the freshness of the mangoes! There are at least two parking structures within a 5-minute walking distance, but it's kind of expensive. The one on Camden Drive is about $3 for every 15 minutes. They do not give any free buffer time (like first 30 min for free). If you're just doing a quick stop to Heytea and not planning to stay in the area for long, it's best to visit during less busy hours so that you can find street parking, which is about $1 for 20 minutes.

Yelp
In the mood for something refreshing? Want to satisfy your thirst? Or if you the type of person that wants a drink as a snack? Check out Heytea... Drinks are made with fresh fruit and quality ingredients, instead of frozen fruit and no artificial flavors added.. your drink is quality for a resaonable price.... Coconut mango boom is addicting!.. fresh and sweet mango with coconut milk and you can taste both... man, highly recommend this drink!!! Also had the dark grape with cheese foam... YES its good if you really like grapes.... fresh grapes, with a hint of cheese when you mix it all in... Not my to go drink, but was decent (im not a grape person, decided to try because the cheese foam with grapes sounds interesting) that's why I tried it.. Multiple options too choose from Place is located by rodeo drive in Beverly Hills, so be patient looking for parking --other location also, I tried monterey park and beverlly hills... No real ambience or service... just order, get your drink and go... so far service has been good and knowledgeable when asked questions about the drinks... You have the option to choose how sweet you want your drink (less sugar, more sugar etc...) I like this... as im not a fan of a very sweet drink Definitely going back to this place... When you do... Enjoy!!

Yelp
My new favorite boba place in west la! I only order the bobo milk tea, since that's my go to drink, but I love! No places to sit inside, and parking is street or structure. I usually order ahead of time on their app which is great because it tells you wait time and you can earn rewards.

Yelp
So glad heytea has made its way to LA! One of my favorite, FAVORITE chains. The fruit and tea drink creativity is unmatched. They are a bit slow here and the app doesn't work that well yet. The store is really small in a very tourist heavy part of Beverly Hills / rodeo drive!

Yelp
This was our dessert stop after having dinner at Lawry's. We needed something sweet to wash down all that savory prime rib! You will find Hey Tea along Santa Monica Boulevard (with a Rodeo Drive address). Between Joe's Pizza and DITA. The parking structure behind the businesses was free after 6PM. To-go only. No chairs or tables inside and out. The line was long on a Sunday night, with no place to sit while waiting. Got our receipt at 8:15 PM and our drinks were ready by 8:34 PM. Prices were around $6.99 - $8.49 each. Bobo Milk Tea - So they're more known for their cheese tea and I came in knowing that. But still wanted to try it because it's the baseline I use when comparing places. Tea was faint, it was mostly just sugar and milk. Boba texture was hard. Coconut Mango Boom - Best one out of the bunch. Ripe fruit flavor was prominent. Strawberry Peach Boom - Was on the slightly sour side. Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk - Similar to the Bobo Milk Tea, just with more sugar. Prepare to wait if you see a line. I'm sure they're doing their best, but I've seen more efficient tea shops get it done with less staff.

Yelp
I loooove getting Hey Tea in China, so I'm very happy that they've brought a store nearby to school! I've gotten the Mango Coconut Boom, Mango Boom, and Milk Tea Bobo Shake. My personal favorite of them all would be the mango coconut boom, which I'd recommend if you like mango sago! Great blend and great taste - very happy that the fruit ripeness is there. If you love mango, mango boom will do you just fine. Milk Tea shake was great ice texture! The store interior is very clean, modern, and neat - I really like how they display the numbers of what position you are so it helps to gauge how long it'll take. The times I went, it did have a bit of a funny smell inside? Like cleaning bleach on the ground.. (which I guess is good if they had just cleaned, but did hurt the nose a little). I do think the prices are a bit high - especially what I'm used to in China. Location in Beverly makes it a bit hard to find parking, but it's doable. Service has been fine.

Yelp
Let me start by saying I am not a fan of trendy Matcha, Boba, Milk teas. My wife is! Since we were just leaving Royal Lobster Beverly Hills after a great Roll, my wife ordered a Carmel Boba Milk tea. After ordering...the service person then informed us it was his first order and that they staff is overwhelmed and under staffed and could take more than 30mins to get our order but that the Boba was just made and is super fresh. So, that might have been a deal breaker if we knew that ahead of time but hey(tea) we had time and hoped it wouldn't take the 30mins. Sure enough, got it in about 15min. My wife's first taste was with a "wow" and that is the freshest Boba ever....it was still warm!! So, I had to try. Well this drink has changed my mind about Boba. I just have not had good Boba like this ever before! So good...I should have ordered one as well. The Mango Coconut looked good and was the most often ordered other than the Matcha.

Yelp
I heard the hype around Heytea and had to try them out while in Beverly Hills. I waited in line for about 20 minutes before reaching the front to order. I got a strawberry peach boom. The drink was great. I could taste both the strawberry and the peach, which is rare since peach usually has a much lighter taste and flavor. I especially liked that the drink was icy enough to not melt fast during the summer/fall heat. Overall, the drink was tasty although a bit expensive. My main reason for giving them a 3 star is paper straws. I despise paper straws and how they ruin the taste of my drink and drinking experience. Every sip, I could taste the paper. If they used any other straw, I'd happily come back to get another drink.

Yelp
I live for HeyTea's mango booms!! They are so good, perfect amount of tea, perfect amount of fresh mango, it is SO fresh and delicious. Like I actually dream of their mango booms... and need at least 2 weekly. So glad this opened in BH, although parking isn't the best since it's mostly street parking or you have to pay for some lots nearby... if you do a loop, sometimes you'll be able to find parking. I definitely recommend downloading the app to order your drinks prior to getting there just because sometimes the wait is long. The menu is confusing and majority of their drinks are blended, but just get the mango boom and you'll be good!!

Yelp
Update: 9/10/2024 - I came by to order a drink and it took 30 minutes for it to come out. There were customers already waiting for their drinks and seemed upset about the wait times. Another customer comes into the shop and finding out they're not taking anymore orders due to a shortage of sugar supply. I love Hey Tea drinks but the service is lacking with the wait times. Doesn't seem to be operating well the couple times I've been here.
google avatar

Yelp
This Beverly Hills location is the newest HeyTea location in this ever popular brand! It's located on the corner of the ever busy Rodeo Dr/Santa Monica Blvd. Yes parking is difficult in the area so you literally need to get lucky finding paid meter or park in one of the paid lots nearby. Yes the price are higher at this location. You are in Beverly Hills! No they do not have online ordering at this location through the US site. Yes you can do online order through Chinese Wechat with RMB only. The menu literally is the same from all other locations so it needs no introduction. The most popular is the Yumberry Grape either with cheese foam or no foam. The line is crazy long but if you're in the mood for a drink on these hot summer days it's a good stop. Just be prepared to pay the markup for BH! Yeah in the $7-10+ range.
google avatar

Maruko X.

Yelp
Ambiance: it's the most popular new tea place opened in BH, right next to rodeo drive, small shop for takeout only, public garage or street parking nearby Service: the staff working here are super friendly, and they pass along water to customers waiting in line, although still expect two long lines to place the order and then for pickup Drink: variety choices for fruit tea and specials, they use real tea and fresh fruits or fruit juice, no artificial flavors, and you can also adjust sweetness and ice level, I generally like the jelly in the fruity drinks Coconut Mango Boom - ***** layers of flavors, bold mango taste, highly recommend Strawberry Boom - *** a bit sour, average taste Creamy Cheese Yumberry - **** with creamy topping, refreshing berry taste of morella rubra, recommend Creamy Cheese Grape - **** with creamy topping, bold grape flavor, recommend Price: it's pricy but worth the premium quality, most of their drinks cost from $7 to $10

Yelp
One of the first locations in Southern California. I heard one in Irvine has opened or will open soon. My plan was to try it in New York on my upcoming trip, but now I don't need to.   I was here during their first week of opening when they were doing promotions like BOGO free and BOGO 50% off. It was packed! There were a big group of people at the storefront, so you cannot miss it.   They are known for their cheese drinks with fresh fruit like mango, grape, strawberry, grapefruit, and mulberry, which are seasonal. I tried the infamous Grape Boom along with Grapefruit and Mulberry Boom. Some with cheese and some without.   It is good. It's fresh and refreshing, but a little too sweet even with the adjustment, but I'd still drink it. With drinks costing about ten dollars these days, HeyTea was not an exception. Even with the high price tag, I can see myself coming every now and then. I think I would come more often if it is closer to home. All the way in Beverly Hills near Rodeo Drive is a big disappointment for many customers I am pretty sure.   Customer service is not the greatest. Once I ordered two drinks and waited about 20 minutes to hear that they ran out of grapes, and so I was forced to change it to something else they had readily available. It would have been much more professional to notify the customers when ordering or ahead of time. Not after waiting more than 20 minutes. This made a lot of people even more annoyed with their slow service.   Plus, when you walk inside, there is this weird, distinct odor that is very unpleasant. I don't know what or where it is coming from, but it is definitely behind the counter. It smells awful, so I wait outside immediately after ordering.   Parking is street or many public parking near the area.

Yelp
A Hey Tea right here in Beverly Hills?! Heck yes! :D I first tried Hey Tea when I was in Guangzhou, and when my cousin told me they opened one in my area, I was beyond excited. The spot is conveniently located on Rodeo Drive, but while there aren't tables for sitting and doing work, I actually see it as the perfect place to grab a quick, refreshing drink and keep moving with your day. The menu here is a little different than what you'll find in Asia, but you can still taste the care and passion that goes into every drink. Everything is made fresh, and you can really tell they put their heart into it. Even though the lines can get pretty busy, I highly recommend ordering through the app if you're in a rush. That way, you can skip the wait and get your drink to go, so you can continue on with your day. Whether you're a long-time fan or trying it for the first time, Hey Tea is a great addition to BH, offering a fun and tasty way to quench your thirst while enjoying the energy of Rodeo Drive!

Yelp
The staff was so knowledgeable and sweet and my drink was so delicious! I ordered the supreme matcha latte and added jasmine jelly and was very pleasantly surprised by the flavor profile! The matcha is very light and cereal-like, similar notes to Nana's Green Tea in Washington if you've ever been there! I thought my drink as well as my friends were all very well crafted and you definitely can taste the quality! Shoutout to Aiden for helping us out and picking out not only our drinks but adjustments as well :)

Yelp
You will need to find a metered parking and walk down to this spot. The tea shop does not have any seating, it's all order to-go. Hey Tea offers a wide variety of drinks, and some of the rare ones that other tea shops don't have. Grape flavors tea. The order process was easy. The price is on the high side. Which you will spend about $8 after tax. My impression was..it was good but overpriced. Perhaps it is because of the location, but $8 for a drink is a bit steep. Overall, it gets a 4.1 out of 5.

Yelp
I went during grand opening weekend where it's BOGO free. It's located on Rodeo drive, small store with no seating. Parking is free after 6pm in the parking lot in the back. Otherwise you'll have to pay. I suggest coming after 6pm. You won't be waiting in the sun and you have free parking lol. The cheese grape boom is the best. They use real grapes. I got it less sugar but I feel like it could be half sugar and still would've tasted good. The mango coconut boom is also good. Very refreshing and sweet. I also got less sugar but I think half sugar would be good too. The supreme brown sugar boba milk tea is amazing (if you don't like fruit teas). Their boba was warm and fresh. The supreme brown sugar boba milk tea has a cheese foam type topping so if you don't like cream, I would just get the brown sugar milk tea. I would get this one less sweet. When we went, the California sunset was sold out and the barley milk tea wasn't available (even though it's listed on the menu). Bummer. Service was fast even so there was a long line so don't be deterred. The wait wasn't that bad. There were plenty of employees walking up and down the sidewalk to answer questions. My only wish is that the menu has descriptions of the drinks. If you're not familiar with the HeyTea items, it can be confusing what's in the drink or what the difference is between the drinks.

Mel O.

Yelp
Not worth the hype. Super long lines. No dairy alternatives. Also smells like sewer inside. This place is not my cup of tea.
google avatar

Trinny T.

Yelp
The most convenient about this year is its online ordering app via HeyTea. The area around this is hard to find parking. You would need to stick to metered parking. I like the grape tea the most but I think the price of $10 is way too expensive. When people got BOGO sure they were happy about the price. But I don't know who would be fine purchasing a $10 milk tea. That is definitely outrageous. They do have smoothies of $7 each such as mango and strawberry. But I don't see how special these could be. A pure green tea of $4.50 would be so so price I guess. I general I wouldn't spend $10 for these drinks again. I could return for other cheaper fruit drinks but overall, nothing was special enough.

Yelp
This place is absolutely worth the hype and the long lines. The Mango Grapefruit Boom and the Mulberry Strawberry Boom were both so good and the flavor combinations were very well balanced. Waits may be a little long since the place is very small and also always busy, but the product absolutely makes up for it. 1000% recommend

Yelp
Fresh and refreshing, clean drink blended with mango and real bits of grapefruit and some coconut jello. Menu is a little vague, as the staff informed me after we ordered that the fruit tea has milk so be sure to ask if you're sensitive to dairy. Their online ordering system seems to be off as several people came to pick up and the store said they didn't have their order. Parking can be hard in the area but there are meters and the public parking structures.

Yelp
This shop opened across the street from my office a few months ago, but I had to wait for the hype to die down before I could check it out. For those who are unfamiliar, HeyTea specializes in cheese tea. After being disappointed by the milk teas in China, founder Neo created the first ever cheese tea in his kitchen by adding a layer of fine cheese foam made with real milk on top of tea. It softened the taste and added a bit of sweetness. The store is tiny with a sleek, modern aesthetic that fits in with the Beverly Hills vibe. There is no seating, so it's take out only. QR codes are available to place an order. All their beverages are made with fine, high-quality tea. They use real milk instead of non-dairy creamers, and the fruit teas are flavored with real fruit syrup. My co-worker braved the line on opening day and suggested I try the Mango Boom ($6.99 regular/$7.99 large). It was refreshing - a nice balance of tea & fresh mango that tasted like a tropical vacation. All it needed was a shot of tequila. The drinks are a bit pricey, so I wouldn't indulge daily, but I can see the appeal. Street parking or parking lot behind the building.

Yelp
From a humble beginning in China to world renowned boba shop, HeyTea is one of the most famous boba brands. The focus is on providing an elevated tea experience with signature premium teas and fresh fruits. HeyTea popularized cheese tea which is now a staple at many bubble tea stores. HeyTea is a must visit for any bubble tea enjoyer. Yes, the lines are long. Yes, the prices can be high. But what you get in return is deliciousness in a cup. Maybe I'm going crazy or perhaps I'm romanticizing a bit, but I do feel as the quality is not the same now. Having tried HeyTea on multiple continents (Asia, Australia, etc.) over the years, either the magic has slightly worn off or perhaps it was inevitable that as they grew, some things would slip through the cracks. That being said, the quality is still top notch but it doesn't seem as unmatched as before. The Beverly Hills location is quite small but it's still lovely, clean, and modern. The staff is efficient and friendly. Overall, HeyTea remains one of the top bubble tea chains and the long lines are a testament of the hype.

Yelp
When I first came here I thought they were a bit pretentious considering how much stuff they had printed on the receipt about them and their teas but now I get it. Love their drinks. Definitely on the expensive side but very good. They do take a little longer making them and often turn off their online ordering system (and delivery apps ordering) but luckily they're not too far from me. My go to is the Heytea Matcha Jasmine. When I finish it, there's usually still a lot of matcha flavor and I just pour water in and have a few extra cups of a diluted version. There's a public parking lot behind them.

Yelp
Great tea! I got the guava and green grape and it was like a fresh slushy! It took a bit of waiting despite being the only in person customer since they seem to get a lot of app orders but the staff was really nice.

Yelp
My first impression was that this place smelled SO BAD. We walked in and the stench of almost old rotten tea hits your nose, but at the same time you can smell the herbacious tea notes within the stench. It was an odd feelings. Anyways, we stayed because my friend and I were craving boba. I had my friend go in and order for us. The tea itself was pretty good. I got a cheese tea with boba. The boba was chewy and cooked to perfection. The cheese with the tea allowed for a nice, refreshing creamy drink that wasn't too sweet. Price wise, the drink was pretty expensive, but it also makes sense given that it was situated right in the middle of rodeo drive. Honestly, it was good, but I probably wouldn't come back as I can find a similar drink at a better price point elsewhere.

Yelp
The coconut mango boom is sweet and refreshing. You can really taste the freshness of the mango they use. It's a small store and got crowded fast and a little chaotic. The order took a little while but still worth it. I got my drink less sweetened but you can adjust that. It's a really good drink.

Yelp
I really like the triple matcha latte, less sugar. Its pretty refreshing! My sisters like the coconut mango boom, which feels more like a dessert to me. I dont normally enjoy matcha, so this was a pleasant surprise! No seating, so you'll have to take your drinks to go. Service is friendly!

Yelp
I came here with my boyfriend and got the grape cheese and the coconut matcha. I can never resist anything with grape! It was honestly kinda watery and not the best. I would've liked a stronger grape flavor. As for the coconut matcha, it was decent. I liked the texture in it and it was actually pretty good. This place is just pretty expensive.

Yelp
There is an abundance of boba tea shops nowadays which is a great thing, but a large majority of them are pretty generic. Except for Hey Tea. Wowza. Unique tea flavors that are fresh and fruity. There is a reason their grape boom and mango grapefruit boom are bestsellers. I was initially turned off by Hey Tea's overall shiny, extravagant vibe with its slick stores and marketing collabs. Making it worse was the hype and the long lines. BUT, I have to give this place props. Elevated drinks you can't really find at normal boba shops. My reco is to go early and most likely not on a weekend.

Yelp
They use fresh fruit and on a hot CA day, it was so refreshing. I had the mango bloom and I could drink that daily. There was a short line, but it took quite some time as they were busy making drinks instead of taking peoples orders. The place is small so the people waiting in line and waiting for their drinks were messy and it was just a cluster of people standing at the entrance.

Yelp
My friend got the brown sugar boba milk tea and was disappointed. She said it was not tasty. I got the mango grapefruit boom. It was good, but the drinks are so expensive. They don't call names or numbers here, so we were confused if our drinks were ready or if they were someone else's.

Yelp
I have heard of this place for a long time. I went there excitedly on the weekend. I was told that I needed to queue up for an hour on Yelp, so I turned around and left. I decided to try my luck on the weekday. As expected, there was no need to queue up! The clerk recommended the most popular flavor in the store, the first one, popcorn, but I didn't order it because it was too sweet. I chose the second most popular Cassia and Mulberry. Later, I felt that I was worrying too much. The sweetness of their perfect is really perfect! Cassia is cinnamon? But it tastes like barley tea! The brown sugar doesn't steal the flavor of the tea, and the fusion is just right! Mulberry is mulberry, a very refreshing fruit tea, sour and sweet. The amazing thing is that I think its syrup sweetness is very comfortable to drink, and it doesn't make people feel greasy. The mochi inside is really amazing. When I ordered it, I was afraid that it would be sticky because I was too full and didn't want to eat mochi. But it turned out to have the texture of jelly and the toughness of mochi, which is amazing! I haven't tasted the second one in Los Angeles. I heard that the boss personally went to Taiwan to learn the craft. It's really a skill Decided to browse through the menu! Try them all! The atmosphere is also good and there are many people. The environment is also very attractive to customers

Yelp
Came in on a Wednesday after work and was really excited to try them out. A lot of my friends in China have been raving about it but I was overall a little underwhelmed. First they ran out of the legendary grape boom that I had heard so much about. So will need to go back to amend my review. I ended up getting the passion fruit blast which was great, you can tell they use high quality fruits for their drinks. But the other lasting impression was how slow the service was. For how many ppl there were working in the back it still took me 20 mins to get my drink. Will give them some grace as they continue to work through their process and will be back once things calm down.

Yelp
One of my guilty pleasures is always looking for coffee, shops or tea shops. While ordering food at a nearby restaurant and waiting to pick it up, I walked around the vicinity and landed upon this cute an amazing tea shop. The inside is very simple but very high catchy, especially if you love taking pictures or you are a foodie. Any questions we may have had were answered very thoroughly by the staff and they were very helpful on all the amazing options that they have I chose to go with the supreme Macha latte and let me tell you it was very good! What I liked most about was that they use very high-quality ingredients, and no artificial sweeteners. I definitely wanna come by and get another tea here!
