Yelp
One of the first locations in Southern California. I heard one in Irvine has opened or will open soon. My plan was to try it in New York on my upcoming trip, but now I don't need to.
I was here during their first week of opening when they were doing promotions like BOGO free and BOGO 50% off. It was packed! There were a big group of people at the storefront, so you cannot miss it.
They are known for their cheese drinks with fresh fruit like mango, grape, strawberry, grapefruit, and mulberry, which are seasonal. I tried the infamous Grape Boom along with Grapefruit and Mulberry Boom. Some with cheese and some without.
It is good. It's fresh and refreshing, but a little too sweet even with the adjustment, but I'd still drink it. With drinks costing about ten dollars these days, HeyTea was not an exception. Even with the high price tag, I can see myself coming every now and then. I think I would come more often if it is closer to home. All the way in Beverly Hills near Rodeo Drive is a big disappointment for many customers I am pretty sure.
Customer service is not the greatest. Once I ordered two drinks and waited about 20 minutes to hear that they ran out of grapes, and so I was forced to change it to something else they had readily available. It would have been much more professional to notify the customers when ordering or ahead of time. Not after waiting more than 20 minutes. This made a lot of people even more annoyed with their slow service.
Plus, when you walk inside, there is this weird, distinct odor that is very unpleasant. I don't know what or where it is coming from, but it is definitely behind the counter. It smells awful, so I wait outside immediately after ordering.
Parking is street or many public parking near the area.
