"Though it’s technically a sports bar, Hi Tops patrons often get down on the dance floor. The bar is a Bay Area transplant that originally opened in West Hollywood in 2018, only to expand to Los Feliz in 2023. "From the moment Hi Tops’ newest location opened in Los Feliz, this “high school locker room” themed sports bar has been standing-room only. That’s because, despite recent improvements, this corner of town is still largely starved for casual queer spaces. Similar to its Weho location, Hi Tops isn’t the place you go to sweat things out on the dance floor. "Hi Tops is one of the Weho’s most popular (read: crowded) gay bars, so it was only a matter of time before another outpost of this sports bar popped up. Located on Vermont in Los Feliz, not only does Hi Tops provide this part of town with another queer space, it’s also a legitimately decent place to watch a game. Is anyone here actually doing that? Not really. But the walls of flat-screen TVs give you the option.
