The Best Places To Eat Lobster In London - London - The Infatuation
"When you have a serious lobster craving, donning a bib and cracking out your credit card for a whole lobster is just one option. Alternatively you can hit up the whole lobster’s casual cousin, the lobster roll. Hideaway, an upmarket café from the people behind exceptional fine dining spot Hide, just so happen to do one of the best rolls in London. It’s sweet, rich, and for top-tier lobster its £18 price tag is kind-of reasonable. If that doesn’t sound like your cup of tea or you just really hate delicious brioche bread for a reason you’d rather not disclose, then know that you can also get lobster on top of their winning waffles with garlic, mayonnaise, and, if you’re feeling especially flashy, Royal Siberian caviar too." - heidi lauth beasley
The 7 Best Things We Ate In March - London - The Infatuation
"Hideaway is the equally bougie little sister of Hide, a glorious Mayfair restaurant that runs like clockwork. It’s also one of the best fine dining experiences we’ve ever had, so to say we were a bit excited to try this lobster roll would be like saying a dog is a bit excited when you shout WALK-IES! We were hyped, very hyped, and it did not disappoint. The roll is perfect - soft but with a good tear, and it’s just a hint sweet to really let the sweetness of the lobster take center stage. And that lobster is top-tier. It’s £18 but you get a hefty portion and for the experience of sitting in Green Park on a sunny day eating this lobster roll after months of metaphorical and literal darkness, we’d pay double that." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing
11 London Coffee Shops With Brilliant Food - London - The Infatuation
"Hideaway is, much like its glorious fine dining big sister Hide, pricey. But importantly it’s also worth it. The specialty coffee is hand roasted. The éclairs are rich, the croque madame is a soft, crispy cheese fest, and the pizzas come topped with quality things like truffle and wild thyme. The £22 lobster roll is the real star of the show at this Mayfair cafe though. It’s a rich, sweet hefty lunch that you’ll eat in Green Park with a big fat smile on your face." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
Where to Eat with Live Music in London | Eater London
"Located away from the high street view in Streatham, the name is truly fitting as many locals have passed by it for years without knowing what’s going on inside. Open for nearly a decade now, the venue showcases live jazz, soul and funk while also serving great food. Hideaway has an extremely varied monthly lineup, including the regular Monday night jam session and a Sunday comedy club, besides anything from David Bowie tribute evenings and Cuban salsa evenings to reggae nights. Laughter and dancing aside, the kitchen also serves up an array of simple meals such as pan-fried salmon, rainbow vegetable skewers and chargrilled jerk chicken." - Riaz Phillips
This was a fun place to go! Loved the interesting variety of food and seating right on the river. There is more seating inside too.
We had chicken on a waffle and it was delicious! Cocktails were good! Staff were lovely and friendly. Lots of free parking available

Great atmosphere. The Hideaway is tucked away by the river, it was busy when we visited (without a reservation) and the team were accommodating to fit us in.
Food was delicious, with interesting options. I had a shakshuka which was tasty. I would recommend and return for a relaxed weekend brunch.

Fantastic place to eat and chat with friends next to the Thames. Beautiful view, nice food, great service. I had avocado on sourdough and salmon, delicious. Highly recommended for a brunch. Parking is available which is an extra.

Very cosy place word. Have a branch or breakfast. Stuff is very friendly and professional and you have a very nice view of the river. Inside is warm and you have some blankets. Also if you want to go outside prices are okay considering London. Maybe cheap parking is large and you will not have any problem to find a space.

Somewhat disappointed with the food but couldn’t knock the atmosphere, location and service. Waffles & bacon, a burger & chips, a black coffee and iced latte come out at just shy of £45.

Great find for breakfast! It is a small but very nice cafe with a view or the river. Staff were very friendly and the food was really tasty! We had to sit outside because they were fully booked and we got really cold as they do not a have heaters.
