"A rum-based tiki bar is more likely to evoke tropical tastes and summertime vibes, but High and Dry has a few fall cocktails on offer. The hot Nauti Toddy with bourbon aged rum and a mystery spice blend and the Ginger Flame with rum, reposado, ginger, and a blazing habanero thai chili tincture are guaranteed to bring the heat in cooler months." - Baylea Jones

"With tiki bars on the rise, rum is finally getting its due. High & Dry, downtown’s craft rum bar, adds a touch of class to the tiki kitsch with house made juices and a selection of 75 rums from around the world. The frozen Main Lei comes in three different fresh flavors: key lime, spiced coconut, and banana." - Baylea Jones

This is one of the best bars I have been to in a long time. It is such a chill atmosphere with excellent bartenders and amazing drinks. I had the Bajan Brew which was a great upper after a long day and then the Black Magic which helped round out the night. We visited around 7pm and it wasn't busy which is great for visiting a bar for me. Great seating, fun drinks that rotate a lot means you get plenty of choice. Must visit if you're close by!

I've been to several bars on Main St but never made it to High & Dry. I love the setup. The bar is large and there was quick service to get drinks. Also I really enjoyed the music the DJ played all the classics to jam to. Will definitely being coming back next time I'm in downtown.

I walked up the flight of stairs into this bar with an interesting selection of cocktails. It was Saturday night, and packed with a crowd having a good time. I enjoyed not only the taste of the ginger flame cocktail, but the way it was prepared complete with a fire show. On this visit, I noticed the crowd was younger, mostly in their twenties.

They just started a #geekswhodrink Trivia Night on Wednesdays at 7! This is from November 2021. Had a great time there, tasty drinks, laid back atmosphere, and the nicest people! Oh! And the food! You can get a full meal with a small menu and everything was fantastic. See you at trivia night!

Great service! Fast service! Bartender Antonio makes some great drinks and some come with a show🔥. Forgot to take a picture of the cocktails menu but they have a good variety. I was impressed with the pork belly I had to take a picture of what else they have for me to come back 🤤.

This is not a tiki bar. They do rum based cocktails but other than the two tiki idols behind the bar it feesl like any old bar. Still, the drinks were good and it's a nice spot. I hope they grow into a more unique bar. This was only their first Saturday but being surrounded by so many great bars they should have hit the ground runming.

Small bar on the 2nd floor. Friendly bartenders. Nothing special jumped out from the menu besides a few unique drinks. Mixologist kinda vibe and drinks were good. A 20% gratuity was included with drinks. The 5 to 8 daily happy hour is a bonus (we were not there for this). Bathrooms were clean and smelled good. Went during day drinking on a Sunday. Not a bad place just nothing seemed special here, needs something to make me want to come here over the many other places Houston has to offer.

Great Rum bar. The bartender was a star. Knowledgeable, attentive, eager to share his craft with us. The atmosphere is dark but not too dark, music playing but you can still easily conversate. We tried all the house cocktails between us and they were tasty but where this place shines is in the amount of different rums they have available for sipping neat or on the rocks. I've never seen so many different and rare rums here in Texas. Definitely a positive experience and we will be returning! Great job guys!
